I slammed the door shut and walked up to the bridge, there I saw Thor and Fury talking as they looked out to the night sky.
"Fury" I said and they both turned to me,
When I stood in front of him I slammed my fist onto his cheek, agents got up ready to shoot me but Fury raised his hand up and they returned to work.
"Phil told me everything, you lied about knowing my mother."
"Is this true?" Thor asked
"Yes" I said "now I want to know where my mother is buried right now."
"Ms. Stark you've had a long and stressful day you need to rest."
"Rest oh please don't talk to me with that I'm a victim bullshit"
"I recommend discussing this in private" Thor said
"I agree" Fury added
"Fine"
We walked out of the bridge to Fury's office, he stood behind his desk while Thor and I stood in front of him.
"You're one sneaky and lying son of a bitch" I hissed
"Ms. Stark I know your upset"
"Upset?" I snapped, "Your lucky Loki put this necklace on because if it wasn't, there would be a tidal wave coming towards this ship."
"You're threatening to destroy SHIELD Ms. Stark?"
"SHIELD is less human than me, and that's saying something." I snapped "SHIELD is practically destroying itself with all its dark little secrets. Because the thing about secrets is no matter how hard you try they will come out."
"You are an Avenger Ms. Stark and you have to understand how important it is for SHIELD to keep secrets the public can't handle."
"I'm a Stark and Asgardian first Fury, and an Avenger second." I said "Until I leave every secret about my mother or my past has to come up now before I expose SHIELD's dirty little secrets online."
"Kida" Thor said sounding shocked
"You wouldn't dare"
"Try Me," I said leaning on his desk
"When Coulson returned from the cage with you and your dead mother we both decided to bury her. We where afraid someone would want to experiment with her blood. We buried her in Washington D.C under the name Heather Wallace." He said "You had no connections to anyone on Earth, so Coulson, Romanoff, and Barton decided to adopt you. Then one day Romanoff was taking you to an aircraft carrier to be with Barton."
"There was an ambush," I said
"Yes, the caravan was attacked by a sniper, the car you and Romanoff were in rolled into a ravine and as Romanoff tried calling for help, the sniper aimed at you and fired. Romanoff put herself in front of the bullet and it drove into her lower abdomen." He said, "The sniper killed eleven men in that ambush, you and Romanoff were the only survivors. That's when the four of us realized that SHIELD is no place for a child. So a few nights later, Barton and Romanoff drove to an orphanage in Malibu and she put the baby on the doorstep."
"She took a bullet for me?" He nodded his head yes "Was the sniper caught?"
"No he's a ghost" He said "after you where adopted by Stark we started watching you, keeping you safe, and now we are at war."
"A war we will win" Thor said putting his massive hand on my shoulder "it is late Kida and you need some food and then rest."
"Thor I'm not a child, I'm not going to my room." I said and he laughed
In one swift motion he lifted me over his shoulder and carried my down the hall. I slammed my fists onto his armored back but it was futile. He walked into my room and put me down. When he did I saw his hammer hanging from his belt, a light bulb lit up in my head.
"Why didn't I think of this before?" I thought mentally slapping myself
"Hey Thor, isn't your hammer able to break anything."
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"Well maybe you can break this necklace." I said and I grabbed his hand and pulled him inside my room. "It could work"
"Kida mjolnir is extremely powerful, do you think you'll be ok being so close to it's kind of power."
"Yes" I said "I've survived a giant robot I think I can survive your hammer."
"Alright"
I relaxed on my bed and Thor grabbed a part of the necklace and pulled it away from my neck. He put mjolnir next to my neck and I could feel the power radiating off of it. He raised his hammer high and I closed my eyes waiting for it to be over, like a little kid getting a shot. There was a bright flash of light and I heard Thor yelling, I opened my eyes and saw Thor on the other side of the room. I walked up to the mirror and saw the gem glow in a green light. I looked at the part Thor hit I saw the chain was dented.
"It's dented!" I said excited "If we keep trying we can probably get it-"
I felt a blow in the back of my head and fell to my hands and knees but I looked back and no one was there.
"Kida" thor said as he ran to me "Are you alright? Do you need a doctor?"
"I just need to sleep" I said feeling tired he helped me to my bed
"Kida I don't think we should try that again" He said sounding concerned
"Thor we're doing it until it's off"
"It's not safe Kida, you're father would agree with me." He said "Your father has told me you need rest."
"You talked to my dad?" I asked
"After you left I talked to him, to help him understand his anger shouldn't be put out onto you. I believe he now understands why you kept your secret from him. And I explained to him that the All-Father's plan wasn't your own." He explained "In the morning go and talk to him, and he will certainly forgive you."
"Thanks Thor" I said wrapping my arms around his waist and hugging him "goodnight"
"Goodnight"
Morning,
I took a shower and changed into black pants, black combat boots, and a white V-neck shirt. I opened the door to leave and saw my dad with his hand up. In his other hand he held a tray with a bunch of eggs, toast, fruits, and bacon.
"Hey" I said
"I thought you would be hungry" He replied raising the tray up "so I got us both some breakfast."
"Thanks" I stepped aside and let him in, I closed the door behind him and he sat down on my bed.
"I remember when I first made you breakfast when you were little. You slept like a rock and I would have to carry you downstairs for breakfast. But you wouldn't eat unless you had Mr. Snuggles with you." He smiled at the memory "When my company said to adopt a kid to get good publicity, show the world there was a kinder side of Stark. I didn't expect to be so"
"So disappointed" I mumbled
"Happy" He finished "I came here to talk. I know I'm not the perfect dad, I've made a lot of mistakes and kept secrets from you."
"Dad, I know, I've kept my fair share of secrets too."
"Yes, and I was angry but I just want to you to know, just because I'm mad at you doesn't mean I won't love you anymore." He said standing up "You're my daughter Kida, always have and always will be."
"You don't think I'm inhuman?" He walked up to me and held his hand up and put my hand on his
"Do we have the same hands?" I nodded "Do we both have hair on our heads?" I nodded "Do we both have a sassy attitude?"
"Yes" I said smiling
"Then we're both human, and we're family."
I smiled and laughed and he hugged me back while laughing.
"I love you daddy" I said

We ate breakfast and talked, I told him about my mom and he told me he told Pepper about my parentage. She was just as shocked as he was but she calmed down quickly. When the food was gone he left to go back to work with Bruce. I checked my phone and saw a message from Steve.
"Meet me in the weaponry vault"
I took off down the long corridors and made it to the weaponry, the door was forcefully pulled open.
"It would've taken a lot of strength," I thought
I walked inside and used the flashlight on my phone to see. I heard footsteps and turned around to the door. There was nothing, BAM, I jumped and let out a small scream but stopped. There I saw Steve holding a strange looking gun.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" He said
"It's ok, what is that thing?"
"SHIELD has made weapons like this, from the tesseract." He said
"What?" I said "Why would they do that?"
"I was about to talk to Fury about that" He said "Let's go"
He walked past me but I didn't move, I needed to talk to him. I couldn't let myself fall into a relationship when I'm leaving.
"Steve wait" I said as I turned around, he stopped at the door and walked towards me.
"What is it?"
"I'm sorry, you're an amazing guy but"
"But you can't have a relationship right now." He finished
"Steve I-"
"I understand, but please know I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I was about to say the same thing to you" I said "Steve you're like 80 years old, and I'm just over 3,000 years old and I'm leaving for god knows how long. You deserve someone a lot better than me,"
I walked passed him to walk out but he gently grabbed my hand and spun me around. My face rested on his shoulder as he hugged me. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I'm sorry" I said
"I'm sorry too"
He let go and we just looked at each other, all I wanted to do was lean in and kiss him. Everything in me screamed at me to do it, but I held back. We just stayed there in each other's arms, then necklace glowed in a green light and I felt it burning my skin. I stepped back from Steve and it stopped.
