As usual, thanks to those who took the time to review, and to those who continue to read and stick with me on this and my other story. Remember, reviews are welcomed and appreciated. Here goes…

Arthur was in a good mood.

After leaving Gwen to finish her packing, he went to make a call to his father.

"Ah Arthur, what can I do for you son?" Uther asked.

Arthur felt as though he would burst with excitement.

"Well Father, I'm taking Guinevere on an impromptu holiday to the farmhouse in West Sussex," he said excitedly. Uther smiled happily to himself.

"What a wonderful idea son. Gwen is going to love it there. When are you leaving?" he asked.

"This evening, or as soon as Guinevere is ready," Arthur replied. An idea came to Uther and he acted on it.

"Listen son, I would like to see you before you go. Can you pop in for a few minutes?" he asked. Arthur replied,

"Of course father. I have to stop there anyway." They both said their goodbyes and hung up.

Meanwhile, Gwen had finished her packing, and was heading to the kitchen to prepare their dinner. She stopped suddenly, and went in search of Arthur. She

found him just as he was heading to the bedroom.

"Hey," she called to him. Arthur turned around to face his girlfriend as she came towards him.

"Hey love. What's up?" he asked.

"I have a suggestion or rather an idea, care to hear it?" she asked playfully. Arthur took her hands in his and said,

"Course, lay it on me my love." Gwen smiled at the expectant look on his face.

"I was thinking about preparing some sandwiches or maybe some sort of finger food, which we can have on the way, rather than preparing steak and potatoes.

That way, we can leave sooner. What do you think?" she finished by asking.

"I like the sound of that, but you know, you didn't have to ask me Guinevere, I trust you and your decision making.

Whatever you decide to do is fine with me," he said kindly

Gwen smiled at her loving boyfriend, and she stood on her toes and kissed him softly.

"You are a wonderful man Arthur, and I'm a very lucky girl, to have such a great guy," she said sincerely.

As she was about to pull away, he ensnared her around the waist and held her to him.

Looking deep into her beautiful brown eyes, he told her,

"On the contrary, I'm the one that's lucky," and he proceeded to kiss her, deeply and passionately, until they parted breathless.

About an hour later, they were finally able to leave the house, and were on their way to Pendragon Manor, chatting happily about their romantic get-away.

Arthur had originally decided to pick up his things after they were finished with hers, and now he also had to meet with his father.

So after preparing their dinner for the road, they loaded that along with Gwen's suitcase and some other knick-knacks into the car, and headed out.

As they neared his home, Arthur began to feel a bit apprehensive.

"I wonder what my father wants," he said distractedly. Gwen reached over and squeezed his knee softly.

"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about love. You have a great father who loves you very much" she said softly.

Arthur pulled his car onto the long driveway and brought the car to a stop.

"You always know what to say to me Guinevere. How did I get so lucky?" he asked. Gwen smiled sweetly with her beloved, as he leaned in and kissed her.

After indulging themselves for a few moments, they continued on their way up the driveway towards the house.

Arthur brought the car to a halt beside the fountain, and they exited, to make their way inside the house.

Just before they parted ways, he asked her,

"Can you please go to my room, and get started on my clothes? As soon as I finish speaking to my father, I'll come up and help you, okay?"

Gwen stood on the first step of the stairs, which brought her almost level with him, and placed her arms around his neck. His hands instinctively went around her waist and drew her to him.

"I'd be honoured, my love, besides, this is my chance to properly explore the inside of your room," she said playfully.

A cheeky grin spread across Arthur's handsome face, and he whispered into her ear,

"Maybe we'll get the chance to do more than pick out clothes while we're in there." At that he kissed her ear, tasting with his sneaky tongue.

Gwen blushed and shivered at the low sexy tone of his voice, as he said those words to her.

"You are a naughty man Arthur," she said playfully. She pecked his lips and peeled herself away from him.

"Only with you," he said cheekily. Once again, he slapped her round bottom gently, eliciting a soft giggle from her just before they parted.

Arthur found his father in his study, standing in front of a portrait of his late wife, Ygraine.

He knocked and waited on his father to bid him enter.

Uther looked back when he heard the knock, and smiled when he saw his son.

"Arthur, come in, how are you my son, or do I need to ask." Smiling happily, Arthur entered and embraced his father.

"I'm fine father. How are you?" he asked. Uther gestured for Arthur to take a seat, and he said,

"I'm fine son, and now that you are here, I feel much happier.

Now tell me, how is the lovely Gwen doing?" Arthur's face broke into a huge grin.

"She's doing great, and she's very happy to be going on our little getaway," he said.

Uther smiled happily at his son.

'He's so much like his mother, not only in looks, but he wears his heart on his sleeve, just like my Ygraine,' he thought internally. He stood beside Arthur and gestured towards the portrait of his late wife.

"You remind me of your mother so much. You not only favour her in looks, but the way you carry yourself.

The way you live your life in general, caring for others, no matter who they are or where they come from, their class or creed means naught to you…you just care, and when you love…you love deeply and passionately...with all of your heart. I've always admired these traits in her, and now in you.

She would have been so proud of you Arthur, just as I am.

I want you to have something of hers," he said solemnly, as he started moving towards the portrait.

Arthur was moved beyond words.

He can't ever remember having a conversation as deep as this, about his mother and certainly not with his father.

He sat thinking about all that his father had told him, and a few tears leaked from his misty blue eyes and ran down his chiseled cheeks.

Uther walked to the portrait of his late wife, and took it down, revealing a safe. He opened it, using a secret code, and took out a small black velvet box.

After closing the safe, and replacing the portrait, he walked over to his son and told him,

"This is for you son.

I know you'll do the right thing with it, so take it and may it bring the wearer as much happiness as it brought your mother. She would be very pleased to know you have it."

Arthur took the box his father placed in his hands, and opened it. His eyes grew wide at the sight of his mother's engagement ring.

He was speechless for a few minutes, and Uther looked on with pride.

"I…um…I don't know what to say father. It's... beautiful and it's... mum's," he stuttered. Uther clasped his son's shoulder and told him,

"You don't have to say anything Arthur. I've always told myself that is the one thing of your mother's I'd like for you to have, more than anything, well…besides your inheritance, and now you have both.

Now, I sincerely hope that you and Gwen have a wonderful time at the farmhouse, and please give her my fondest regards."

Arthur thanked his father and bid him goodbye.

He smiled to himself as he pocketed the box, and headed to his room to look for his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Gwen was just about to pass her best friend Morganna's room, heading to Arthur's, when she heard muffled sounds coming from within.

As she drew closer, she heard Merlin's voice say,

"Oh…God…Morg…" and she heard Morganna reply,

"Do you want me to stop," with Merlin answering weakly,

"Nooo… oh…God… no." Gwen didn't wait to hear anymore. She felt as though her cheeks were on fire, and she headed to Arthur's room as fast as her two feet could carry her.

Once inside of Arthur's room, all thoughts of the two M's disappeared, as she took in the beauty of his room. She'd seen it before, but briefly.

The first thing that caught her eyes was the king-sized four poster bed, without the canopy.

She could tell it was made from some kind of expensive wood like Rosewood or aged Oak, and the craftsman-ship on it blew her away.

It consisted of a leather headboard and foot-board, and the tops of the column-like posts, had an intricate metal work pattern, down the two sides and the bottom end.

The mattress was covered in the beautiful colours of cream, red and brown, giving it a regal look about it.

She walked a bit further inside and everything seemed to be matching.

The drapes matched the bed linens, even the chaise lounge had similar colours.

The closets and dresser were made of the same material as the bed, and even carried some of the beautiful craftsman-ship, except for the metal work.

She moved further on the inside, and her breath caught, when she saw the beautiful en-suite bath, with its red and gold interior, and matching red and gold towels.

After a few minutes of exploring her boyfriend's room, Gwen decided to start sorting his clothes.

She went to one of his four huge closets, one containing his shirts, and started selecting what she thought he'd like to take. She placed folded t-shirts in different colours, on the bed, along with the pants to go with them.

She searched until she found a duffel bag and she placed the folded shirts and pants in it.

While she was searching, she had found a garment bag, so she laid it flat on the bed, and went to another closet, which contained dress shirts in an assortment of colours.

She chose two, a red and a white, both long-sleeved, and placed them into it, along with two dress pants, which were black and khaki.

'Just in case,' she muttered to herself.

Her next quest was to find his underwear, socks, toiletries and matching shoes to pack along with the clothes.

She had a pretty good idea on where his underwear and socks might be, because she remembered there was a dresser not too far from the bed, so she decided to get the shoes first.

She chose two pairs of John Lobb shoes, a black and a brown, to go with the dress out-fits, and placed them in the front pockets of the garment bag. Next, she took up a pair of trainers and some black flip flops, and placed them in the pockets of the duffel bag.

She smiled to herself and headed to the dresser to get his underwear and socks.

Gwen was impressed, she knew Arthur was a tidy man, from the way he kept his drawer at her place, but she saw that first hand, by the way he kept his room,

and how he kept his underwear and sock drawers.

She obviously knew that the staff would have a hand in keeping his room and clothes tidy, but she felt satisfied that he was capable and considerate enough, to keep everything in an orderly fashion.

She noticed that even his dirty clothing, was neatly placed in the hamper, waiting to be washed.

She placed his underwear and socks into the duffel bag, and headed to the bathroom to collect his toiletries.

On hearing a noise behind her, she turned, only to find herself engulfed by Arthur's large frame.

She almost dropped the things she were holding in surprise, and before she could scold him, his lips were on hers, and she was wrapped snugly into his loving arms. She found herself relaxing in his warm embrace, and letting him kiss her the way he wanted to.

After a few minutes, he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers, and kept her anchored securely to him.

Afterwards, Arthur silently led her to the bed, and sat her on it. He placed himself next to her, and asked her,

"So…how do you like my room?" Gwen smiled at him, and took his hand in hers.

"It's every bit as gorgeous as its owner," she said sincerely. Arthur groaned at her comment.

"There you go again, first I'm cute, and now I'm gorgeous. I'm a man Guinevere," he said as he took mock offense. Gwen laughed heartily.

"Oh Arthur, you silly man. Men can be described as gorgeous too.

I happen to think you are handsome of course, very handsome, but you're also, beautiful, gorgeous, hot, sexy, witty, wonderful, loving…"

She was cut off by Arthur saying,

"Okay, okay, I'm all of those, but only you are allowed to call me cute, beautiful or gorgeous, and not for anyone to hear, especially not the two M's."

At the mention of her two friends, Gwen coloured, and Arthur pasted a disgusting look on his handsome features.

"It's okay Guinevere, I heard them too, ugh. I think I'm going to have to purge my mind," he said flatly. Gwen swatted his muscular arm and said,

"Arthur! That's not a very nice thing to say. I'm actually happy for them." Arthur laughed then, ending in what sounded like a snort.

"That's because you are an angel. You could never think ill of anyone, you're too good Guinevere," he said, giving her his special smile.

Gwen leaned in, and gave him a sweet lingering kiss.

Next she kissed his nose, and whispered,

"Thank you." She sat up again, and told him,

"I'm almost finished with your stuff. I just need to put your tooth brush, shaving kit, and anything I might have missed into the bag, and then we're off."

She started to move, and in the blink of an eye, she found her tiny frame, lying on the bed, with him on top of her.

"You can't just kiss me like that and run off," he said in a low seductive tone.

Gwen looked deep into his playful blue eyes, and giggled sweetly. He in turn looked down into her beautiful chocolate pools, and felt an overwhelming need for her.

"Do you know how much I want you in this moment Guinevere?" he asked softly.

Gwen couldn't look away from the intense stare he was giving her.

"I think I have a very good idea," she whispered.

He kissed her then, deeply, and Gwen just laid there, and let him indulge himself, exploring her mouth with his probing tongue.

After thoroughly kissing his girlfriend, Arthur rolled off of her and helped her to stand up.

Gwen was surprised that he didn't take it further, but she put it all down to the time and their impending trip.

Arthur looked at her surprised face and smiled.

"It's getting late love, and I know that you're anxious to go, I am too, plus, I can be described as considerate also. There will be plenty of time for me to indulge myself with you and your fascinating body, which I can't seem to get enough of.

I'm hooked…kiss, addicted…kiss, whatever…

Now, let's finish what you've started and get going before I decide to really get going," he said, dropping his eyes, and looking pointedly at the tent in his pants.

Gwen felt her cheeks heat up, and she shook her head slightly to clear her thoughts.

"Don't you want to take a look at what I've chosen for you?" she asked. Arthur shook his head no, and said,

"I've told you before Guinevere, I trust you, so whatever you've put into those bags, are fine by me. Just let me get one of those travelling pouches to put my toiletries in.

By the way, can you take one of those colognes off the dresser for me, it doesn't matter which one, anyone will do."

Gwen went to the dresser and selected one of the many colognes there, and brought it back to him.

"Here you go love," she said sweetly.

"Thank you my love. Just some aftershave and we're good to go," he said happily.

After a few minutes, they were on their way down the long driveway of Pendragon Manor heading for West Sussex.

"I'll have to call Morganna and Merlin some time tomorrow, and ask them to have a look around the house for me.

They both have keys, so if they need to get in they can," Gwen said.

"What about your store love?" Arthur asked. Gwen was touched about her beloved's concern for her.

"The store will be fine. They will have a look, I know that, but I'm not worried.

I'm happy, very happy, because I'm going on a romantic get-away with my gorgeous boyfriend, whom I think, is the best looking man in the whole world," she said joyfully.

"I'm so glad that you feel that way, because I want to make you happy, always.

I love you so much Guinevere, and you know what?

I think you're the most beautiful woman I've ever met, and you make my once boring existence, a very happy one. There isn't anything I would not do for you," he said honestly.

Gwen was touched, and she felt tears sting her eyes.

"Oh Arthur, it makes me so happy to hear you say that.

I love you more than you can imagine, and I'd do anything for you too.

You're the best guy a girl could have, and you are definitely the best at everything," she said, winking playfully. Arthur's handsome face took on a mischievous look, and he said,

"Oh…I'm glad you feel that way, because I intend to honour my promise of keeping you naked, most of the time, that way I'll get plenty of practice to perfect what you already think I'm best at."

He took one look at his girlfriend's flushed face, and laughed loudly.

Gwen was speechless again.

She looked at her boyfriend's amusingly smug facial expression and shook her head.

"What? You know what they say Guinevere, practice makes perfect, and that is what I intend to be...perfect, just for you," he said smugly.

At that he leaned over and gave her a quick kiss on her very warm cheek.

Gwen ruffled his silky blonde hair, and told him,

"You are insatiable Arthur Pendragon." Arthur glanced at her lovely profile, and replied cheekily,

"And you wouldn't have me any other way."

At that, he took another look at his girlfriend's flushed face and laughed loudly.

I wanted to get a balance between the light and heavy topics in the story, and also give the two M's their due. This was written with so many distractions, but I hope it was good enough.
