Disclaimer: I do not own The Vampire Diaries, only my original characters; Violetta, Eiji and Johnathon
Edited by: Me
AN: Rewrote this chapter three times before I was happy with it. Originally the story was going to take a different turn but then it changed. Hope people are still enjoying the story and I apologise if you think I've made the characters of The Vampire Diaries too OOC from how they originally are. Two chapters left now, will probably appear tomorrow or Tuesday ~ Zyii

In light of what was going on in the world, Damon and Vi couldn't afford to go away and have a honeymoon but they didn't see it as such a big disappointment, to them they had each other and when this was all over, they hoped they could go away for a while.
After some long consideration, Vi had decided that she needed to transfer most of her business online. Of course she would still have the shop in Mystic Falls but she was no longer in a position where she could be at her shop twenty-four seven. However, she needed her businesses to survive, so transferring the majority of it online was the correct course of action. Of course Jenna and Lexi were a bit miffed but Vi ensured them that the shop would remain and that they still had purpose in the running of the shop. That pleased them greatly and it made Vi happy to see them so enthused about something other than the coming battle.
Vi was worried about the battle, she knew she had powers within her but as of late they seemed to have abandoned her, that was why she told everyone that she didn't have any powers because she didn't want to disappoint them if they never appeared. Still it was foretold that she would have her powers when the final battle took place, she could only hope that that fact was true, otherwise she worried how they would win the fight.
That night Vi had a terrible dream, her doubts in her own talents and worth were really getting to her and she had been having trouble sleeping, it was a fact that she kept hidden from everyone else but she didn't realise what a bad job she was doing.
The world was dark, dark cold and miserable. Fires raged all around, cities lay deserted, towns were ransacked. The people nothing more than slaves for a higher command, humans no longer ruled the earth. This was the dawn of the supernatural creatures; vampires, werewolves, pixies, zombies, inferi, every bad creature roamed the earth like it was their own personal heaven. There was no way of stopping what had become life, it would continue until the earth burned in its own hell and nothing was left alive.
Eiji forged a throne for himself made of pure gold, it lay in an armed castle deep in the darkness that covered all lands. He smiled triumphantly as he lorded over all. This was his reward for thousands of years preparation. He had beaten the light, he had beaten Vi and he never looked back. Life was his for the taking, forever more.
Vi awoke with sweat dripping off her face, she was terrified by what she saw and knew it not to be a dream but a prediction of what the world would look like if Eiji won. Now she was even more determined to win this battle, if only to save the world from his reign of terror. Once the fear had dulled in her body, she noticed a change in herself, she no longer felt as drained as she recently had, her body felt like it pumped with power and there was a special glow to her hands. If she wasn't mistaken it seemed that her powers had finally manifested themselves, it was enough to cause her immense joy but still not enough to stop her from feeling stress and fear. Nevermind, at least it was a start.
ELSEWHERE
There were those who were worried about Vi and those who were worried about Vi AND the coming battle. However, they were all in the same boat together and as a result they all trained together. Night after night, day after day, hour after hour, they all trained long and hard to be the best that they could be. No one wanted to die in the battle but they weren't so naïve to think that there wouldn't be deaths, if one of them died then it would be a brave and valiant death but maybe just maybe if they trained their hardest, they could survive without dying.
The only person left to complete the Court was Elena. Everyone had been giving her enough space to come to terms with the changes happening around her but everyone had had enough of her bitter attitude and 'woe is me' moaning. They all wanted to do something about it but were all standing by in case Vi wanted to do something else.
Elena had had the same thought as everyone else and was on her way to talk to Vi. She had a new attitude and a new goal in her life.
'Violetta I'm sorry' she said sincerely upon coming across Vi.
Vi turned to look at her, there were big dark circles under her eyes like she hadn't been sleeping probably and it worried Elena more than she realised.
'This isn't another bitter fake apology, I really am sorry for everything. I was stupid, childish and pathetic. You did nothing to deserve any of the hate I sent your way and as I'm being honest, all the changes that you've made have changed my friend's for the better. You've made them into the best they can be and destroyed all that would do us harm and for that I thank you' said Elena.
'You've grown up' said Vi.
Elena nodded 'I don't want to be a child anymore, it is time I face up to the decisions I've made. I will now take responsibility for all my actions, I will no longer hide away and blame others and I swear my loyalty to you, so you can protect us all and I can serve for a greater cause. All I've ever wanted was to protect the people I love, if I can do that by keeping you safe then I will' said Elena.
'You have passed' said Vi ominously.
'I've passed?' asked Elena confused.
'Look at your clothes' said Vi quietly.
Elena looked down to realise her clothes had changed from what she'd been wearing and into a dress made of a light purple. Vi was right somehow she had passed, she had become the final member of the Court of Fourteen and in that she'd made the group complete. She looked at Vi to say her thanks and saw that Vi had dropped to her knees, her face wet with sweat, her eyes closed and her breathing ragged.
'Vi, what's wrong?!' she said urgently.
But when Vi replied it wasn't her voice that came out but another altogether.
'The dawning of the battle approaches fast, all those involved have a lot to lose and a lot to win. Anyone standing in the way must be careful for there is one side that will not care for who it kills. The battle has been set, the place and time agreed upon. The ice green lies but ten miles from here and the time agreed upon has been the witching hour of midnight. Take all you need to the battle ground, come prepared for you never know what tricks the other side might bring. Together you are united, separate you fall. There can only be but one winner, but who shall win and who shall fall?'
The words died and Vi fell unconscious, Elena was scared and didn't know what to do.
'Help, HELP!' she cried.
She was lucky that the others were training close by and heard her cries.
They came running to see what the matter was and all demanded questions at the same time. Elena tried to answer their questions as well as they could and then watched with fear and worried as Damon picked up Vi and carried her inside.
