A/N: Thanks for the reviews! I'm glad you guys are enjoying BOOK 2! I know I said that this chapter would be about Caroline but I really needed to write this first. Hopefully the next chapter will be up tomorrow.
Sorry about Jeremy's boss's name, it was meant to be Anna, not Johanna. I must have made a mistake and not seen that when I was going over the chapter.
ENJOY
Jeremy came back with the raven-haired beauty's cupcake. He placed it in front of her and she flashed a dreamy smirk.
"Thank you, Jeremy."
Jeremy hadn't noticed it before but she had an accent. He couldn't quite place it but it sounded somewhat British.
"You're welcome,-"
"Lexi Bloom," she told him.
"Lexi, Lexi." Jeremy murmured, quietly. "That's a pretty name."
If Lexi could physically blush, she knew her cheeks would be bright pink. So this was him, Jeremy Gilbert, one of Freddy Krueger's victims.
"Are you from around here?" Lexi asked him.
Jeremy frowned slightly. "No, I'm from Mystic Falls, Virginia. I moved here a few months ago."
Lexi smiled up at him, white teeth nearly blinding him.
"What about you?" Jeremy asked and sat down in the booth opposite her. He placed his sweaty hands on his jeans and wiped them.
Lexi tucked a stray raven hair behind her ear. "Oh, I've been all over the world. Springwood has been my home for the last little while."
Jeremy nodded.
Lexi reached out and placed a hand on Jeremy's wrist. She pierced his skin with her nail and shut her eyes, muttering a silent spell under her breath.
Jeremy looked at her, panic ridden. "Uh, what the hell are you doing?" His cheeks began to slowly loose color.
Lexi furrowed her brows in thought and continued the spell.
A few seconds later, she stopped and opened her eyes. She took her finger and pressed it to her mouth, tasting his blood.
For a boy, his blood was surprisingly sweet. He must be a virgin then. Lovely.
When she tasted his blood, Jeremy took his chance to spring from the table but she was much too quick. She stuck out her foot and he tripped, hitting his head on the table as he fell.
Lexi smiled at the sight of Jeremy unconscious on the ground. She would have to take him home, compel the memories of Freddy out of his brain and then do the same for his friends. This was the last chance they would all get at a good life. The blond girl, Caroline would have the memories of her soul mate erased from her mind as well as Jeremy's.
For a half demon, Lexi had a pure heart.
Her original plan to ignore would have to change, now she was going for a different plan.
Lexi placed Jeremy's body on her kitchen counter. Sage, vinegar, Jeremy's blood as well as hers were all placed on the table along with six black, lighted candles.
In a few minutes, Jeremy would surely awaken so she would have to get the process over with. Since he wouldn't remember anything from his life after she did the spell, she would have to take care of him. She would lie to him, do anything to protect him from evil even though she herself was evil. She was trying to use her evil for good unlike her father.
Lexi slid Jeremy's pants off and threw them to the floor before unbuttoning his shirt and throwing it to the ground as well. The last thing left were his boxer briefs. They were white and pure, just like his soul. She could sense it.
The underwear gently slid down his hips and fell to the floor. Normally Lexi was immune to men's parts but Jeremy's were a different story.
He was perfect size. How could he still be a virgin?
Lexi snapped her mind out of the gutter and poured the jar of vinegar over his body. The reason she used vinegar was because it cleaned the body and the soul. Sage was spread over his body next over top of the vinegar because it was a peaceful, tranquil herb.
The next and last step was to mix hers and Jeremy's blood together. She took both of the vials and poured them over his forehead before swirling them together in little circular motions.
"Done," Lexi breathed and stared at his face. Such a sweet boy, it was sad that she would have to get away all of his memories, every last space in his mind that held them. Of course his memories would return to him in a couple weeks but still, once he truly woke up, he would remember nothing. She would have to take care of him, nurse him back to health.
While he slowly regained his happy memories back, she would do the same for his friends. And she would start by getting their numbers from his cell phone contacts.
Now, it was time to complete the transition.
Lexi shut her eyes and placed the palms of her hands on Jeremy's forehead. She chanted in Latin, her voice growing louder with each word she spoke. It was the spell to take away Jeremy's memories.
A few minutes later, Jeremy woke with a gasp. "Where am I? Who are you?"
His memories were gone, everything apart of him was gone. All that was left was a body.
Lexi stared at him. "Your name is Jeremy Gilbert and my name is Lexi Bloom. Jeremy, I have a lot to explain to you."
Later:
After a couple minutes of talking, Lexi finally got Jeremy to take a bath. He was so fragile and innocent now that his memories were gone. When his happy memories would return, she would take him to a happy place where he belonged.
It would be hard though, taking care of a boy who remembered nothing.
"Just step in here, Jeremy. I'm going to wash you."
Jeremy was still naked and covered in vinegar, sage and blood.
Lexi put her arms under Jeremy's armpits and gently lowered him into the claw tub.
"Were you my girlfriend?" Jeremy asked and pressed his knees to his chest.
Lexi shook her head and frowned. "No, you actually didn't know me."
"Oh," Jeremy said.
"Are you afraid of me?" Lexi whispered and turned on the tap.
The tub began to fill up; Jeremy looked down at the funny water. It was turning red because of the blood that was on Jeremy's skin.
Jeremy shook his head. "No, I should be but I'm not. I can sense that I have had worse things to be afraid of."
Lexi took the green washcloth and squirted some soap onto it. She wiped him with it, causing the sage and vinegar to come off. "I'm glad you're not afraid of me."
Jeremy nodded silently.
Next, Lexi rinsed the washcloth under the tap, the soapy residue running down into the water. "You don't need to be afraid of me, Jeremy, I will keep you safe."
"Okay," Jeremy whispered. "Is it normal, that I feel safe with you? I mean, I have no memories, about anything from my life."
"I don't really know," Lexi sighed.
Jeremy rested his head on the edge of the tub and curled up. His long eye lashes dripping with water, clean water. "When will I start to remember?"
"In one week, you will remember the good things from your life. The bad things will never come back unless I chose to give them back to you or someone tells you the bad memories." Lexi answered quietly.
"What if I want to remember?"
"I'm sorry, but that's not your choice." Lexi said firmly.
"I'm hungry."
His stomach started to grumble, quite loud.
Lexi put her hand under the water and removed the plug. "I will make you some lunch, c'mon."
SIX DAYS LATER:
Jeremy was curled up on the couch, watching some program on the TV.
Lexi was making dinner for them. She liked having Jeremy around the house and she would be sad to know that she would have to let him go soon.
He still didn't remember anything but that would change in a day.
"Katherine," Jeremy suddenly said. He got off the couch and walked to where Lexi was in the kitchen. "She's my sister and her name is Katherine. She has big brown eyes and straight hair. Her favorite color is purple and she has a twin whose name I can't remember."
Lexi hugged Jeremy. "Good job, Jeremy, it's your first memory. I'm so proud of you."
"Her phone number is 554-1423." Jeremy told Lexi. He didn't know why he told her that, he just felt the need to.
"Thank you," Lexi told him.
When Jeremy went to bed, Lexi would phone Katherine and lure her out.
LATER THAT NIGHT:
Jeremy went to bed hours ago.
Lexi got up from their bed and went into the bathroom with Jeremy's cell-phone. She had kept it and hidden it in her dresser. She had known that he would never find it and if he did, he would never know that it was his.
"Hello, is this Katherine Gilbert?"
