The day of the christening arrived and both Poppy and Rachel were excited! They arrived at the church in plenty of time and soon, Mollie was arriving with Charli in a long, white, laced christening gown.
"She's beautiful," remarked Rachel, looking upon the gorgeous baby.
"Thank you for being her god parent!"
"Like I said, I'm honoured you asked."
It was short service with a very small congregation, but everybody there had made an effort to dress up and make the day a very special day indeed. Emily and Denzil were there, and even Olivia had turned up, forfeiting a day with her friends. Charli was perfectly behaved, only crying when water was poured over her head.
