"He's my new power, and he gains 500 attack points for every tuner monster in my graveyard, since I have four he gains 2000 attack points giving him a grand total of 5500." Jack said. "Now, attack Cyber Phoenix and end this duel."

"That dragon's impressive, but mine still beats it by 100 points, so when the next duel starts your dragon is going straight to the graveyard." Madison said riding into her pit.

"Madison, you did a great job." said an older man.

"Yeah, well I left you my second best creature." Madison said. "Think you can beat them Matt?"

"I have something in mind." Matt said before riding out onto the track.

"Well, looks like I'm the last duelist on my team, I'll do my best, let's have a good duel." Matt said.

"I agree, this will be a great match." Jack said with a grin.

"Duel." said Jack and Matt simultaneously.

Jack life points 4000 speed counters 11 Matt life points 4000 speed counters 9: "My move, I'll start by setting this facedown, and next I'll send Machina Fortress and Machina Gearframe to my graveyard in order to summon Machina Fortress from my graveyard." Matt said. "Now I'll attack your Red Nova Dragon with Cyber Twin Dragon."

"I use the effect of my Red Nova Dragon, I can remove him from play to negate your attack, and during the end phase he returns to the field." Jack said.

"Ok, in that case I'll attack you directly with my Twin Dragon's second attack." Matt said. "I win."

"Maybe, but this duel is far from over, and since it's the end phase Red Nova Dragon returns to the field." Jack said as his dragon appeared on the field again.

"What an interesting situation, Jack may be down for now, but his dragon is definitely sticking around." Lazar said.

"I agree, the only question is can Yusei Fudo use that dragon effectively?" Zone asked.

"Yes well, Yusei definitely has shown that he can handle difficult situations in a duel." Lazar said.

We'll just have to see how he fares against the others, Zone thought.

"Yusei, sorry about that." Jack said. "Hopefully my dragon can help you take down that overgrown metallic lizard."

"Don't worry Jack, I'll make sure to win this one." Yusei said before riding out on his duel runner.

"What do you guys think, is Yusei in trouble?" Leo asked.

"I'm not sure, on the one hand Red Nova Dragon is a very powerful monster, but Yusei has no tuner's in his graveyard to power it up." Akiza said. "It comes down to how his first turn goes."

"Well, I hope he finds a way around that Cyber Twin Dragon, because if he doesn't, they're going to lose." Luna said.

"Let's have a good match alright." Yusei said.

"I was thinking the exact same thing." Matt said with a grin.

"Let's duel." said Yusei and Matt simultaneously.

Yusei life points 4000 speed counters 12 Matt life points 4000 speed counters 10: "My turn, and first I summon out my Turbo Synchron, and next I'll summon Turbo Booster using his effect." Yusei said.

"Alright, I'm interested to see what you're up to." Matt said.

"I'll be glad to show you, I play three cards facedown, and tune level one Turbo Synchron with level one Turbo Booster, in order to synchro summon my Formula Synchron." Yusei said. "Plus, that gives Red Nova Dragon 500 more attack points."

"True, but since the graveyard isn't carried over from one duel to the next, Red Nova Dragon only has 4000 attack points." Matt said.

"Maybe, but he still has enough attack points to destroy your Machina Fortress." Yusei said.

"That's fine, but whenever it gets destroyed my Machina Fortress gets destroyed in battle, I can destroy one monster on your field, so I'll destroy your Red Nova Dragon." Matt said.

"Sorry, but Red Nova Dragon is immune to destruction from a card effect." Yusei said. "Looks like he's sticking around a little longer."

"Alright, well I still have something else planned." Matt said.

"I end my move." Yusei said calmly.

Yusei life points 4000 speed counters 12 Matt life points 2500 speed counters 11: "My move Yusei, and I'll start by setting one card facedown, and next I'll attack your Formula Synchron with Cyber Twin Dragon." Matt said. "You forgot to play him in defense mode so I win."

"Really I seem to remember setting some cards facedown last turn, including this card, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow." Yusei said. "This card blocks your attack and then I can reset it on the field."

"Alright, in that case I'll just use my second attack to destroy him." Matt said. "Cyber Twin Dragon end this duel."

"Not going to happen, I reveal another trap card, Defense Draw, now I take no damage from your attack, and I can draw one card." Yusei said.

"Alright Yusei, I end my move." Matt said.

Alright, one card can win this for me, the only question is, can I draw it, Yusei thought to himself. "It's my move." he said.

Yusei life points 4000 speed counters 12 Matt life points 2500 speed counters 12: "Perfect, I start by using the effect of Speed World 2, I give up four speed counters in order to deal you 800 points of damage since I'm holding one speed spell." Yusei said while a bolt of lightning shot out of his runner and hit Matt's.

"That's alright, I'm still in this duel." Matt said. "Wait, that card."

"Since I have eight speed counters, this card doubles Red Nova Dragon's attack points, I play my speed spell, Final Attack, now Red Nova Dragon attack the Cyber Twin Dragon and finish this duel." Yusei said as he won.

"You really are skilled Yusei, good luck to you three in the rest of the tournament." Matt said.

"Thanks." Yusei said. Now to see if the others can advance, because we'll all need to work together if we plan on defeating Yliaster he thought.
