She sees his back first. He looks nervous by the way he is shuffling around on his feet, but she can see the effort. He's dressed in a black tee and jeans, his form not so gaunt as when she'd last seen him. She can even smell him and although it isn't that normal Jacob smell of sunshine, it no longer scares her.

She wonders about the future, but not so much hers. She wishes every grace on her imprint, prays for his safety, dreams he is happy. But she doesn't see her revolving around him to make such things true. She hopes for his future, for his own slice of forever and being a friend; a champion for him, is something she can see herself doing without jeopardising her new family.

She loves Embry, loves her children, loves the home that she's built with them. She's come to appreciate her struggle, know that without the heartache of her imprints rejection she never would have found real love with her husband. Her children may have never been born, and she may never have known just how strong she really is.

"Jacob?" she says softly, watching as he turns quickly.

In his hands he holds two stuffed bunnies, one pink and one blue. She gazes at them before her eyes lift towards his.

The deep brown of his eyes sparkle, and she knows that whatever the future brings, he's gonna be okay.

"Leah...hey."
