Monday morning arrived pretty fast. Angel got up at around 9 am and hurried to the bathroom to shower and do her morning routine. She had a few errands to run before the meeting with her boys this afternoon.. well, her ex boys. After about 25 minutes in the shower, she quickly stepped out in a towel; she dried her wet body off and blew dry her hair before rushing into her closet to pick out some clothes. Originally, she didn't know what to wear, or rather what she was supposed to wear for this meeting. After a good five minutes of thinking, she knew the boys wouldn't careless if she walked through the door in a pair of jeans and an old worn out t-shirt. It was then that she settled for a red laced sleeveless blouse and a black pencil skirt. She quickly got dressed and slipped on her black buckled heel booties. She ran back into the bathroom and wrapped her hair into a bun and applied some light makeup to her face, including some dark eyeliner and red lipstick. She checked herself out in the mirror one last time before grabbing her briefcase full of documents and contracts. She quickly made her way downstairs, grabbing her short black blazer and headed out the door. Even though it was winter, the weather was unusually warmer.
..Damn global warming…
Angel effortlessly landed herself a cab and was off to run some errands, then she would go see her boys.
Dean wiped his forehead with the back of his hand and glanced at the clock. Angel should be there soon, and just the thought of seeing her made him smirk. He was slowly growing impatient though, it seemed like time was moving slower by the minute. He looked around the shop and saw Seth tending to a customer, while Roman finished polishing off one of the bikes he just finished..
.. It was almost time...
Suddenly Roman looked up and met Dean's gaze, he briefly glanced at the clock then back at Dean, a small knowing smirk playing on his lips.
..It was almost time...
"You know business has been picking up quite a bit lately." Seth sighed happily whilst wiping his greasy hands on a towel. He approached Dean at the front desk and leaned over the counter in exhaustion. "Maybe a bigger shop really is a good idea, huh?"
"I've been trying to tell you that for weeks, Rollins." Dean rasped out as he busied himself with the receipt book.
Seth rolled his eyes. "You tell me a lot of things, doesn't mean I have to listen. Then again, why should I." He grinned. Dean scoffed and got back to his task. Roman walked over and handed Dean a couple of invoices before wiping the sweat off his face with a towel. He quickly glanced up at the clock, his two friends following the action before lower their gazes on to each other. Wide grins graced their faces identically.
"Well boys, we should get ready." Dean gathered the receipt books and quickly closed up his station, as well as Seth and Roman.
.. It was time...
Angel walked into the shop spotting Sami and Corey at their stations. She smiled and waved at them before looking around for her boys, but didn't see them.
"They're in the back." Sami called out knowingly from his station. Angel nodded and smiled at him and winked at her in return. She made her way to the back, adjusting her purse on her shoulder and gripping her briefcase rather hard, mainly out of nervousness.
She approached the office door and exhaled aloud, taking her bottom lip in between her teeth before knocking on the door lightly, twice. She waited for what seemed like a life time when in reality it was only a couple of seconds before the door slowly opened. Her breath caught in her throat when she locked eyes with Seth.
"Hi." She whispered. She couldn't trust her voice at the moment, and she was mentally cursing herself for it.
"Hey." He smirked. He stepped aside and opened the door wider, motioning for her to come in. "Please, come in." Angel bit her lip and stepped inside, while Seth closed the door behind her. She then spotted Roman sitting on the arm of the couch with his arms folded over his chest.
He nodded his head in her direction and smirked. "Hey, beautiful." His deep voice filled the room.
"Hi, Roman." She replied softly. She then gasped when she felt a pair of arms encircle her waist from behind. She knew it was Dean. Her unborn baby knew it was daddy.
"Angel.." He groaned in her ear. "You smell so good." He pecked her neck softly making her close her eyes and arch into his embrace. "You look so good." Angel whimpered while he kept peppering kisses all over one side of her neck. She slowly opened her eyes to see Seth and Roman circling her as well. She looked up at them with parted lips only for Seth to palm her face in his hands and kiss her softly. Angel moaned into the kiss when she felt Roman's lips on the other side of her neck. She felt Seth's tongue trying to push into her mouth but pulled away from him, then stepped out of Dean's embrace.
"Angel-" Seth panted.
Angel held her hand up and shook her head. "I didn't come here for this." She breathed out. "This is strictly business." She could see the look of disappointment on the boys' face, but this was for the best.. for now.
Dean held his hand up in mock surrender and smirked. "Alright, no funny business." He pulled out a chair and the boys gathered around the desk, ready to get to work. "Have a seat, gorgeous."
Angel nodded and took a seat across from them, opening her briefcase and presenting the appropriate documents for the location search.
This was going to be a long process ..
"Well, that's all." Angel smiled.
"Really?" Dean raised an eyebrow. "That was pretty easy. I thought it would be a more strenuous process."
"Oh, it will. Just not yet." Angel grinned.
"So when do we start looking for places?" Roman asked.
"I'll contact you guys when we get one of the realtors at the company familiar with your case. Then you'll be starting your search in no time." She placed the documents in her briefcase and closed it.
"It better not be Kruger." Dean muttered. Angel paused and looked across the table at Dean, narrowing her eyes at him.
"How dare you." She scowled and shook her head. "I would never do that to you guys."
"So why did you do it in the first place."
"Dean, come on man." Seth scolded. Roman shook his head at his friend.
"I didn't come here to fight Dean." Angel got up and gathered her things.
"Angel, baby.." Roman called out.
"I gotta go." She sighed. "I'll call you guys when everything is set up." She made her way to the door and slowly placed her hand on the knob, slowly turning around to face her boys. "I'm proud of you guys." Then she was gone. Immediately after she left, Roman and Seth glared at Dean. To say they were disgusted with his behavior would be an understatement.
"You're a fucking jackass." Seth scolded with narrowed eyes. Dean shook his head and buried his face into his hands. What the fuck was wrong with him?
"Hey." Angel smiled softly.
"Hey, yourself." Leo kissed her hand and pulled her chair out for her. Angel smiled and sat down, Leo taking his seat across from her.
They were currently at Romona's Italian Restaurant, the best Italian restaurant in town. Things have been a little strained between the two of them lately and Angel's pregnancy was just the icing on the cake. But tonight, all of that would change. Angel knew she had to tell Leo, and she had to tell him tonight.
"So, uh, what did you want to talk about?" Leo asked.
Well he wasn't one to beat around the bush, was he?
Angel sighed and contemplated stalling, but held off on that idea. "We can't continue this anymore Leo.."
That was rather blunt..
Leo frowned and leaned forward towards Angel. "Angel, baby.."
"Please don't call me that." She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. Leo was confused. What was going on right now?
"Angel," He said softly. "What is it? Did I do something wrong? Why are you crying?"
Honestly, she was just completely overwhelmed with different emotions. Crying seemed like the only option to get it all out at this point.
"Leo," She said softly.
"Angel, don't do this." He pleaded. "I need you,"
"Leo."
"I crave you."
"Leo.."
"I love you!"
"Leo, I'm pregnant!"
Leo's eyes widened, his heart rate rapidly increasing at her confession. "P-pregnant?" Angel just stared at him speechless; she could see that he was at war with himself. Conflicting thoughts entering his mind before he finally spoke. "A baby." He said quietly. He then looked up at Angel, a heartwarming smile gracing his lips. "We're having a baby."
".. I'm having a baby Leo." She said quietly. Leo looked up at her, his smile slowly faltering.
"What?"
Angel shook her head, letting her tears fall freely. "I'm having a baby, Leo. Not your baby," She finally looked up at him, meeting his gaze. "It's Dean's baby." She whispered.
She watched him in silence. There was no expression on his face, he was breathing rather hard and it scared her a little bit. Angel bit her lip as fresh tears continued to spill out. It was then that she decided to break the silence.
"Leo- .."
"You cheated."
Angel looked at him incredulously. "Excuse me?"
Leo shrugged, a sudden coldness in his eyes. "Obviously you have. Please don't sit here and lie to me either."
Angel scoffed, anger suddenly rising within the pit of her stomach. She could've sworn the baby was pissed too. "I didn't cheat on you Leo. I would never do that."
"I knew you weren't over them, Angel." He shook his head. "I'm very disappointed in you, pet." Angel's eyed narrowed into slits and she couldn't control herself when her hand skidded across his face so hard the whole restaurant quieted down at the sound of the slap. Leo held his cheek and glared at Angel.
"Don't you ever call me that, do you understand me?" She gritted out. Leo just sat there stunned at Angel's outburst. "Now listen to me, and listen good. I invited you here to let you know that we can't continue this anymore. I refuse to string you along while I have no interest in you anymore." She sighed, and calmed down a bit before continuing. "When I found out I was pregnant, I had this gut feeling that it wasn't yours. I was so stressed at the time and I didn't know how to tell you. That's why I've been avoiding you like the plague." She looked at Leo with sadness in her eyes. "I'm two months pregnant, almost three; so no, I did not cheat on you, so get that shit out of your head. Simply put Leo, this isn't going to work. I just need to be by myself right now."
Leo stared at Angel, no words escaping his mouth. This annoyed Angel even more. "Are you going to say something?"
"Say something?" Leo scoffed. "You want me to say something? I gave you everything. I helped you while your three boyfriends shitted on you countless times, and this is what I get in return?" He slowly got up and placed some money on the table. "I need to go."
Angel got up and followed him out of the restaurant. "Leo!" She called out.
"Leave me alone Angel." He yelled back while he was crossing the street. But it was too late when she realized that a speeding car was headed in his direction.
"Leo!" She called out one more time before she heard several cars screech and honk. Everything suddenly occurred in slow motion as she watched with wide eyes as Leo's body flew up into the air and fall to the ground with a thud that even she can hear from across the road. She gasped in horror and ran across the street and circled around the crash site before approaching him. She kneeled down and studied his body, he wasn't moving. Fresh tears cascaded down her cheeks onto his lifeless body while she cupped his bloody face.
"Leo." She whispered his name one last time. People stood there and watched the scene unfolding in the street, the loud sirens in the background drowning out the sound of her cries.
