26. Chapter 26

CHAPTER 26

TRIS POV

I wake up to Tobias shaking me.

"What?" Then, he passes out. I sit up and go to Caleb and Melina's room. I wake Caleb up and tell him everything. When we pull the covers off of Four, we see thet they are soaked in blood I look down at my clothes and see blood all over them too. I change as fast as I can and help Caleb carry Four to the infirmary. Chris was working the night shift, so when she sees us she runs over with a gurney.

"What happened Tris?"

"He was shaking me to wake me up and then when I woke up he just passed out. Our bed sheets were soaked in blood."

she nods and runs off with him. Caleb leads me to a couch and I cry into his shoulder. He tries to reassure me but it only makes things worse. Chris fiannally comes back out.

"Tris, he has an infection, the stiches weren't healed all the way, so the infection caused them to rip open. We are giving him an antibiotic as well as some blood. If the infection continues to spread, he may die. But we have him on the strongest antibiotic we have so he will most likely live." She explaiunes as we walk to his room When we get there, Caleb and I walk in. I chole back a sob. It is hard to see my husband like this. I sit next to him and hold his hand. I feel a squeeze. FOur.

"Four your okay!"

"Of course. I would never leave you with six kids. What happened?"

"When you woke me up you passed out. I got caleb and we brought you here. You had an infection that caused the stiches to fall out and you lost a lot of blood. If the infection spreads then there's a 90% chance that you will die."

"Tris, I will never leave you. Now, when can io leave?"

"When you show no signs of the infection for 2 weeks."

Tobias pov

I wake up with pains in my stomach. I shake Tris to wake her up.

"What?" That's when I pass out. I don't know whats happening.. This isn't what it was like when I was in a coma.

I fee lsomeone holding my hand. I squeeze that hand.

"Four! Your okay!"

"Of course I am. I would never leave you with six kids. What happened?"

"When you woke me up you passed out. I got Caleb and we brough you here. You have an infection that caused the stiches to fall out and you lost a lot of blood. If the infection spreads, there's a 90% chance that you will die."

"Tris, I will never leave you. Now when can I leave?"
