Ch. 22 Showing the Neutral's Power! Get it Together Rytlock!
Ch. 21 Review (Jamie P.O.V)
Duke and Tybalt were but together in a face off but since Markel was worried about Tybalt's safety he left me in charge of fighting Tactimon. Tybalt and Duke were nearly even while Tactimon's sword was a lot to handle. But, after Tybalt realized that true friendship meant his friends would never give up on him the fight was won by Tybalt. Then we beat Tactimon and I got his awesome sword. Then we went to the Auto Zone and rescued Tybalt rescued Cade, Rytlock, and Drake but outside things are looking the opposite of good.
Ch. 22 George P.O.V
The X-Antibody was nearing it's completion only 10 minutes to go and Mr. Auburn looked like he just realized something and sighed aloud and no one seemed to notice but me. It was very quiet in the room until someone barged in through the door and it happened to be Alyssa.
"Alyssa hey," I said.
"Hey George, but we gotta cut this short but it looks like Tybalt was able to beat Duke in a fight," said Alyssa.
"That's amazing!" said everybody else in the room but Alyssa still didn't look too happy.
"Is there still some bad news though?" asked Sarah.
"You know Rytlock right?" she asked and Rytlock's dad stepped up immediately.
"Is there something wrong with my son?"said Mr. and Mrs. Auburn.
"Right now this kid is as mad as it gets and when he gets mad there is nothing stopping him. I got him mad at the Valley Zone when I was still full time Black Army and he almost killed me," said Alyssa.
"Dammit! I thought we wouldn't ever have to see that side of him again," said Mr. Auburn deeply upset.
"What do you mean by that side of him?" asked Jamie's uncle.
"This is going to take a lot of explaining so here it goes," said Mr. Auburn, "It started when Rytlock was in the 1st grade a year before we moved here to Miami when we lived in St. Petersburg. He got mad at a teacher for calling him stupid. He was so mad that he punched the teacher and he was left unconscious."
"Where did the power come from so that he could punch a grown man and leave him unconscious?" asked Mr. Darswright curious.
"It seems that Rytlock has a disorder where instead of his adrenaline activating when he's scared or running away from danger. He gets massive pumps of the hormones that start adrenaline when he is angry or mad," said Mr. Auburn.
"That explains the sudden burst in strength," said Mr. Gredder.
"Indeed, and I was just thinking if he were to get extremely mad in the digital world things could be catastrophic," said Mr. Auburn.
"His judgement must be clouded severely. When you're mad you really want to punch someone in the face and when your on adrenaline you fight or flight. Since you aren't trying to run away from everything since the reason your adrenaline was activated in the first place was because you were mad then the only option is fight. When he was focused on me he only had one goal, 'hurt the people who tried to hurt my sister'. He literally punched his own partner away," said Alyssa.
"His judgment does become severely clouded," said Mrs. Auburn, "anyway back to my husbands story, Rytlock was expelled and then in the second grade we had to teach him anger management so that stuff like this wouldn't happen again. When he was getting beat up by bullies who wanted his spot on the soccer team he didn't get angry. It's sad that a good percentage of the time he forces himself to be happy." I didn't know that a 10 year old boy would have these problems. It must be bad for Rytlock to keep his emotion palate at happy for a good 70 percent of the time. Everyone else looked about as upset as I did.
"I seems as his crest makes him even stronger while on adrenaline," said Alyssa.
"It must be amping up his rage," said Mr. Darswright.
"Also it gives if a tail and he bears claws on his feet and hands," said Alyssa again.
"Yep, everytime it happens those things do happens. Accept here the tail doesn't break from his pants," said Mr. Auburn, "I hope he isn't on some sort of rampage now or that would be devastating." Then something dinged in the back and it must be the X-Antibody remover was ready and Alyssa jumped on the case.
"I'll deliver this to J.T. he'll know what to do with it better than all of the rest of them," said Alyssa.
"Yeah just make sure my son doesn't get a hold of it alright. I don't want my hard work to be wasted on the floor," said Mr. Gredder, "Cade can be a little clumsy and I can't risk something as important as this to be flushed down the drain." Alyssa nodded her head and then plugged in something into the computer and out came a screen streaming what was going on in the Auto Zone accept it looks like it is placed 2 minutes behind our real time meaning it was probably showing us what happened before Rytlock's rage started.
"How did you get this footage?" asked everyone.
"They don't call me a spy for nothing, I know what's going on in the digital world and I know it's ins and outs," said Alyssa. Then she took the X-Antibody remover and left using a portal made of darkness and we were here left looking at the video that Alyssa had prepared for us.
"What went wrong?" I heard Mr. Auburn say quietly.
"I really wish we were there George but that stupid AncientVolcanmon destroyed our digivice and now we're just here as sitting ducks," said Gomamon upset.
"Same dude I wanna be there too but we're going to have to leave this one up to Jamie and the others," I said upset as well.
*** Jamie P.O.V***
"Misty you bring her back right now, I'm warning you Matadormon or it'll be just like the Sweets Zone," said Drake. Misty was somehow brought into the equation from out of nowhere even though Mark and J.T. said she wasn't in their group to begin with which got me worried. These different generals of each of the zones are obviously in some agreement that they'll share the prize if they kill us r none of this would be happening. I looked over at Rytlock who looked like he was about to blow a fuse.
"Rytlock calm down I'm alright please don't do anything stupid," said Misty. Then Matadormon used Breakdramon to lay down some hurt on Misty which made her scream out in pain and all Lunamon could do is watch since Misty was incapacitated.
"If you want her to be free, Rytlock, you'll have to destroy these fools you see before you," said Matadormon laughing.
"I would never hurt my friends Matadormon so just give it up or I'll come up there and beat you up my self," said Rytlock as his voice started to get deeper and the ground started to shake up below him. A rainbow aura started to form around him.
"Rytlock, no please don't get angry you'll only make things worse for everybody," said Misty. Rytlock was on full rage mode now not hearing any of his sisters warnings or of our cries to stop getting angry.
"Must kill Matadormon," said Rytlock darkly as he walked slowly over to Matadormon.
"Oh no Rytlock you have the wrong person. If you kill me then I can't release your sister since only I can control Breakdramon. I'll release her if you kill one of these kids down here," said Matadormon. Rytlock turned around instantly and looked straight at Drake and ran to him looking like he was about to punch him which made Drake cower in fear but I came in time to block the punch from hitting Drake making him let out a sigh of relief.
"Rytlock what are you doing!?" I asked and so did Drake.
"I have to kill one of you in order to get my sister back it's the only way," said Rytlock. This was Matadormon's plan all along. By using that mind control device he planted on Rytlock to create Breakdramon and making Rytlock get mad he would work for him and Rytlock would be close to unstoppable. And now "promising" to release Misty if he kills us is making him actually want to fight us even when he's not mind controlled. His judgement is already too altered to change anything about it meaning Matadormon got what he wanted and now Rytlock is an unstoppable raging force. Rytlock went in to punch me and I blocked it with my hand but my hand started to sting afterward meaning he was hitting hard. If that would've hit Drake I don't know what would have happened.
"Rytlock if you want to kill them you're going to have to go through me first," I said.
"Rytlock, you have to remember what side your on kid, if you don't then god knows what will happen. The people you are trying to fight are your friends and family. Don't do this your making a big mistake!" yelled Mark.
"Shut up!" yelled Rytlock as he connected a punch with Mark but Mark grabbed Rytlock and would not let go, "get off of me unless you want to be the one that dies."
"Rytlock, I believe in you. I want you to break out of this mind control right now. I know there's a happy kid in there being held back and I need you to calm down and listen," said Mark. Rytlock connected another punch on Mark accept this time in the gut causing him to slightly kneel and then he came back up.
"I'm not leaving this spot until you realize that you are hurting your friends Rytlock. Wake up!" said Mark.
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" said Rytlock, "if your sister was in danger you'd do the exact same thing." Rytlock this time connected another punch in Mark's stomach causing Mark to cough but nothing serious though.
"I know I wouldn't. I have friends to protect as well as my sister and you do too," said Mark then he pointed towards Drake and Tybalt, "Look at your two best friends, they're afraid of you now. Don't make the same mistake I did not too long ago. Don't hurt your friends to reach a goal. Don't be reckless Rytlock and relax!"
"Rytlock why haven't you destroyed him yet," said Matadormon. Rytlock then slashed Mark's stomach so that he was bleeding causing Mark to pause and fall over slightly but Mark stood up again and his crest started to glow. I could tell now that the crest of determination was meant for Mark.
"I'll never give up on you Rytlock even if I die here to you. You're my friend and so is everyone else here. You may lose sight of that but you will remember that you are here with us and we can save Misty together!" said Mark. Mark was always that one that would help others reach their dream no matter what the cost. He helped J.T. make that digimon game in the middle of college and even missed college basketball games in order to finish that game. Mark thinks of others before himself and that's what makes him the most reliable and dependable brother I know. Cade is those things too but Mark just has a little more natural talent than Cade does at motivational speeches.
"I don't know what to do anymore," said Rytlock in between normal and rage.
"You can do it kid fight the control and fight everything but your friends because there you're here to help," said Mark.
"Yeah, we're here for you," said Drake, Tybalt, and Coronamon. It seemed that Rytlock was relaxing as he started to breathe deeply but the rainbow aura nor the claws went away.
"I'm so sorry that I was acting like a monster again," said Rytlock upset.
"It's alright Rytlock but you still have that rainbow thing around you," said Coronamon, "it means your controlling the crest."
"I am!" said Rytlock.
`"Yeah, that means you can digivolve me. Let's try it!" said Coronamon. Then Rytlock looked down and he had a worried face on like he was afraid which got me thinking. Is he afraid to digivolve Coronamon after that rampage he just went on? Rytlock started to cry and Mark turned around holding his stomach which was obviously starting to take more of a toll on his body then before. He's in no shape to do anything.
"I…I… don't want to try to digivolve. I don't want there to be a chance to hurt my friends anymore," said Rytlock as he started bawling, "Look at the mess I made, I'm a monster. You can control yourself Marcus but I can't this is only once what if happens again. What if I get mad and hurt you more than I already had. I almost killed you and your telling me everything is fine." Rytlock practically had his knees on the floor and was crying extremely hard. Matadormon started laughing.
"I'm happy I didn't bring that baby on to my team. I dodged a bullet," said Matadormon laughing only making Rytlock feel worse.
"I don't think I can be a digidestined. Every single time I get angry bad things happen. I almost killed Alyssa and now you're about to keel over and faint yourself. What am I going to do next actually rip one of my friends hearts out and eat it because that's the monster I am," said Rytlock ranting, "I don't know what to do anymore. Drake and Tybalt as you said are afraid of me now. No one will like a freak! No one will be my friend now! So just leave me alon-." Mark did the unthinkable as he slapped Rytlock hard enough to make him fall over on the ground and Rytlock stopped as his back was on the floor.
"Listen to me and listen to me now! I did not take you out of your rage just for you to sob about your problems! You don't think that other people have gone through what you've been through before. Almost all of us care for you and never forget it. We're a team and no matter how many times you kill me I'll always come back strong to help you because as long as I'm a digidestined I will fight for you and everyone else! I won't fall so easily and I won't back off so easily. You should know by now that I won't quit on you no matter what happens! Even if you turn into a monster I don't care. Tybalt, Jamie, Drake, Misty, and J.T. along with anybody else here will never leave you even if it means certain death for them. We are your friends no matter what you are kid and never forget that. Even when you were bullied in the second grade people like your sister, and Cade were there to help you and the same goes here. We love you Rytlock and never forget that. Your part of United Soul and we all stand together. So stand up Rytlock it's time to fight!" nearly yelled Mark.
"Rytlock! No matter what happens as your sister I'm here for you. Your life is precious and I'll support to the best I can to the point of no return. I'm your sister and even though your protecting me now," started Misty as she started to cry, "I'll protect you later. I love you Rytlock and never forget that. You're my baby brother and I can't stand you being sad." Rytlock opened his eyes and he looked determined again to the point where he wanted to fight.
"Coronamon we're going to fight. If I go crazy I'll know that I have you and the others at my side. It might have taken some convincing but you guys are right I have you guys and you won't let me down," said Rytlock happily. Mark let out a sigh of relief and Drake and Tybalt cheered as well. I smiled over at Rytlock.
"Coronamon super-evolve max to Apollomon Guardian Angel Mode," said Rytlock and Coronamon.
"Finish them both Apollomon," said Rytlock.
"Right!" said Apollomon as he started to breathe in causing a ball of light to appear in his mouth, "Holy Inferno!" Breakdramon and Matadormon tried for a counterattack but it was easily swallowed up by Apollomon's massive attack. Apollomon's attack connected and it burst into a heavenly white fire and the factory and everything else in it was completely gone. Apollomon dedigivolved and then Rytlock ran up to Coronamon and the both started cheering.
"We did it! We did it!" and then Drake and Tybalt went in and joined in as well as they started dancing ring-around-the-rosie style repeating it over and over again which got annoying pretty quickly but it was nice that Rytlock was happy again. Then 2 fragments floated down towards Rytlock and he took them in both of his hands. Mark looked happy too but he also looked like he was about to faint but he still kept standing. Rytlock ran over to Mark and hugged him but Mark could still feel the pain in his stomach but he said nothing and took it like a man.
"Thank you Mark for not giving up on me. You always seem to know what to say," said Rytlock.
"No problem champ I'm always here to raise morale and push us forward," said Mark smiling and then Rytlock left again happily playing with everyone else. The only people not taking part in the fun were me, J.T., and Mark. Even Shoutmon and V-mon were over there dancing too.
"Isn't it a great thing to see them happy," said J.T.
"Yeah, this might be the first time in a while that Rytlock was genuinely happy," I said smiling.
"Mark, you work some wonders with those words you say," said J.T.
"It's all psychology my friends," said Mark.
"What got you into psychology and motivational speaking?" I asked.
"Well you remember that time when Cade had a black eye in school in the 1st grade," said Mark.
"Yeah," I said.
"Well, I couldn't cheer him up or help which got me really upset and dad noticed that I was. I thought I was being a terrible older brother which is why he brought me over to a motivational speaker and mom taught me some psychology stuff. When it happened to you near Breaker's I used my knowledge to make that letter for you," said Mark. Mark is one of the greatest people I know and I hope he stays with all of us for a very long time. A portal opened and then Alyssa came out of the portal holding something that looked very intriguing.
"What the hell is that?" I asked.
"I was asked to give this to J.T. and not let Cade touch by your parents at D.S.S," said Alyssa, "it's a prototype X-Antibody remover. Use it on digimon when they're low to extract it from them. It'll clear up space so the time lines won't be so close together."
"This is great I'll take it," said J.T. as he took it and held it up. It looked like a miniature hand gun only it had claws at the end so it was more like a tazer. Alyssa then left and then J.T. called everybody else back.
"Alright guys it's time to look for the others so let's go and see if we find someone somewhere," said J.T.
"Um I can use the power of light to see if anyone else is nearby," said Tybalt shyly.
"Really you can!" said Drake and Rytlock easily excited.
"Yeah," said Tybalt as he thought for a little bit and then out came an area where Jayden, Markel, and Zeq were in one half and the other was John Alec, Ashlyn, and Reyn.
"Us four will go with John Alec, Ashlyn, and Reyn," said Rytlock squeezing Cade, Drake, and Tybalt.
"I guess us three get to go with the others," I said.
"We'll gotta meet at the zone where Matt, T.K., and Justin are and we'll all be together again," said J.T.
"Agreed," said the others and then we left through the two separate portals.
***Alyssa P.O.V back at D.S.S***
"So you delivered the device over to J.T.," said Mr. Darswright.
"Mission accomplished," I said. Everyone was still in D.S.S and it was about 10p.m. at night. The others in the Auto Zone left the Auto Zone and are now approaching the Hell Zone and the Arbor Zone which aren't going to be easy Zones as there are only 4 zones left to conquer before all of the shards are conquered. Those would be the 2 zones mentioned, the Disc Zone, and the Rome Zone. I gave the name Rome Zone because it reminds me much of ancient Rome but its called the Gladiator Zone. These Zones are guarded after the elite four members of the Black Army that aren't generals. They are nicknamed the Jack, Queen, King, and Ace respectively and they won't turn down a fight especially since they are all extremely cocky. The Jack in Hell Zone is none other than the mighty BlackExamon. The Queen is the tree of Yggdrasil itself. The King is MasterCraniamon and finally the Ace at the top of the food pack is ran by iTybalt himself with his partner AxeKnightmon and they are all off course upgraded with the X-Antibody. I know your thinking aren't most of these Royal Knights? They are but the X-Antibody made them evil. After those 4 then they gotta beat Duke and Alex and hopefully that'll be the end of the Black Army but these next battles aren't going to be easy that's for sure.
"Alright I'm so relieved that Mark was able to ease Rytlock's anger and the fact that Rytlock can control the crest," said Mr. Auburn.
"Agreed, my son did study psychology so he should know how to make people feel better. Other than that though we need to find out a way to watch the others," said Mr. Gredder.
"I still have the cameras of each of the remaining 4 zones that they need to conquer," I said.
"Which are?" asked Mrs. Mains.
"The Hell, Arbor, Disc, and Gladiator Zones. Each guarded by a member of the Black Army Elite 4," I said, "BlackExamon, Yggdrasil, MasterCraniamon, and iTybalt respectively."
"There's another copy of Tybalt roaming around?" asked Sarah.
"Indeed," said George.
"So we need to-," I started to say until I was interrupted by three men who walked through the door.
"Hey who let you guys in here this area is restricted," said Mr. Masterson. They didn't look very friendly and two of the three of them had guns.
"Under law of the state of Florida it is now illegal to take act in helping any digimon or study in the affair of digimon. All digimon must be anilhated immediately," said the man in front.
"What! No, the president himself gave us the right to do this check for yourself," said Mr. Mains. The man went over and looked at the document and then ripped it apart.
"What the hell are you guys retards. Your gonna get sued for so much that you won't even be able to afford clothes," said Mrs. Mains.
"We would be but your permit is expired," said the man on the left. Mrs. Mains gasped and then sat back down feeling defeated.
"Why is this a rule now?" asked Thomas Gredder.
"Due to the repeat account of digimon, 2-3 months ago the bill was finally passed that digimon should be killed off immediately and thanks to the A.T.A's help that can be accomplished," said the man in the middle.
"You mean the A.T.A set up a meeting with the governor of Florida. You guys work for the A.T.A don't you I should've known," said Mr. Mains.
"Yes we do and thanks to this parchment here we're shutting you down and taking your equipment. You guys are out of your league so sit down," said the man on the left.
"I don't give a fuck about any damn rule you throw at me-," said Mr. Gredder.
"You better sit down Mr. Gredder. I did bring this gun for a reason," said the middle man.
"You couldn't even shoot us if you wanted to. If you can though you'll lose support from the state of Florida and both sides would lose so why don't you run along and keep this place a secret you government suck-ups don't know a damn about politics and leverage do you," said Mr. Masterson, "You guys are violating your own law by studying digimon to kill them."
"We got cleared by the state already it's no use you can't stop us," said the right man.
"We can just get cleared by the state," said George.
"Not if your leader is arrested. Police take Mr. Mains and lock him away for good," said the middle man as two police came out and hand-cupped Mr. Mains.
"What the hell is this!" said Mrs. Mains.
"You guys have approximately 15 days starting now in order to shut down your business if you don't all of you go to jail for 10 years and the leader goes down for 20," said the police officer.
"We're taking Mr. Mains here to answer a few questions," said the second police man.
"You already know what's going on here you don't need to answer any questions," said Mrs. Mains, "we aren't hiding anything and you've already seen us do our work."
"It's funny how you guys think you've got us in a corner," said Mr. Masterson laughing causing one of the A.T.A men to pull up his gun, "Hey, hey hey let's not be hasty here no need for guns."
"Shut up! How do you guys think you have won this legal argument," said the man in the middle.
"Do you think we'd leave our actual permit out in the open just for retards like you to rip up. The original is somewhere hidden," said Mr. Mains.
"Shut up you you're in enough trouble as it is," said the police man.
"Oh I think you've got the wrong person police officer. It seems as if though I renewed our permits with the president yesterday and they don't expire until the year 2018. You lost just admit it and release Mr. Mains," said Mr. Masterson.
"By the way that old document was not expired, in fact it had 3 days left on it," said Mr. Darswright, "we could have you sued for ripping up a legal document." The three men looked a little scared but they didn't budge at all. Mr. Masterson went up to the three men and held the two men with the guns on their pressure points and took their guns and threw them to the side.
"Now you guys can exit the easy way," said Mr. Masterson as he cracked his knuckles, "or the hard way." The three men and the police exited as they undid Mr. Mains's handcuffs and left the facility.
"Nice legal dodging guys," said Alyssa, "do you guys have actual permits from the president."
"No but it'll get them off our backs for at least 15 days meaning we have to end this soon or we could all end up in jail for 10 years," said Mr. Masterson.
"We need to get permits from the state of Florida then so we have immunity or we're all toast," said Sarah.
"Who was the right to give out permits?" asked Michelle.
"The governor himself or the main chief of police in the state of Florida," said Mr. Mains.
"Wait a minute, wait a minute that's my dad," said Michelle and then everybody looked surprised.
"Are you serious!?" we all asked.
"Yeah I'll ask him right now, bye!" said Michelle excitedly as he left.
"That's good news, well after that excitement I think we can go home," said Mr. Mains.
"Agreed," we said and then we all left following Michelle. Damn that was close I hope something like that doesn't happen again.
