episode 26- crystal city
Spyro, Cynder, and Leeter were walking in a meadow, looking for a cave that would signify the entrance to the city of the gem dragons.
"If these other gem dragons are anything like Flashwing, we're going to have a tough time looking around." Cynder remarked.
Spyro still couldn't get used to Cynder's new wind dragon scales, "Yeah, Leeter, I doubt that you will have a problem tough, being used to light powers."
"Yeah, I've heard that gem dragons are sorta like a cross between earth dragons and light dragons." Leeter replied.
"Really? Heh, that's rather interesting. By the way, what are other light dragons like?" Spyro asked of the light dragon.
"Honesty, I haven't seen any other light dragons, but before you say anything, I do know that there are other light dragons out there." Leeter told to the heroes.
"Wow, I guess you have only been in contact with that Spaceael guy and us huh? Cynder asked.
"Well, not exactly, but anyway, here we are." Leeter said as they rounded a large boulder and came to an entrance.
They were instantly in awe as they noticed all of the different crystals that were imbedded in the rocks, giving the cave a dazzling glow. In fact, Spyro and Cynder had to squint as the day sun's light refracted of all of the crystals.
Then a dragoness came running out of the cave, it was Flashwing. "Hello, its nice to see you again. Cynder, what happened to your scales?"
"You haven't heard? Well it turns out that one of the reasons I was a dark dragon was that a curse was put on my family a long time ago, and it was broken just a couple days ago." Cynder explained to their friend.
"Wow, well word travels slowly when you live under a rock, anyway come on in, the city is a glorious sight." Flashwing said.
The trio followed the gem dragoness into the cavern that was the Crystal City. When they exited the tunnel that led to it, they were amazed to find a massive city just covered in crystals, in fact some buildings were made from them.
At the time, a gem dragon that had diamond-colored scales walked up to them, "Ah the famous heros Spyro and Cynder, it is nice to finally meet you, I am the leader around here, Diamo is my name." (author's note- Diamo is pronouced like diamond except without the "Und" sound)
"It is an honor to see such an impressively built and colorful city, oh yeah meet Leeter, a light dragon." Spyro said.
"Hmp, I think I can introduce myself, anyway Daimo might I ask if you might know a place I can eat?" Leeter asked.
"Of course, in fact you all must be hungry. Hey Amber, Opal, would you two kindly escort our guests to a place where they can eat." Daimo called out to two orange gem dragons walking nereby.
Amber, the dragoness called out, "Wow are you the Spyro, I'm such a fan."
Opal, the male dragon sighed, "When aren't you? Alright then, come on, there is food this way."
The two gem dragons brought the trio to a draconic restaurant, "Wow, this place is quite neat." Cynder remarked as she admired the craftsmanship of the city and its buildings.
"So Opal and Amber, Do you know where we can find a map around here?" Leeter asked the two after they were done eating.
"Yeah, why?" Opal said bluntly.
"Well, I was hoping to know where there might be light dragons at." Leeter replied.
"Wouldn't you like to stay here for a day or two though?" Amber asked.
"Well it would be nice to stay here for a bit, don't you agree Cynder?" Spyro mused over the thought.
"Yeah it would, i'd probably like to stay for a while. It's not like we are on an important mission or anything, breaks are just what we need." Cynder replied.
"Well I guess majority rules. Oh well, I'm sure I can wait." Leeter sighed, "But then, we go find some light dragons."
