Chapter 26: Broken
Warnings Tags: Intense situation, disturbing moments, and description of an injury
Mitch couldn't believe what he was seeing at that moment. He hoped and prayed that what he was seeing was just a dream, that he fell asleep on top of his friend while he was mourning for him and that when he woke up, he would find himself on top of his friend who was slowly losing the battle against the Taint. Sadly, that wasn't the case.
Jagrome raises his axe up and begins to slowly approach the Canadian. Mitch, with no other option, begins to back away from his now corrupted friend. He didn't want to challenge his friend, he just didn't want to. Mitch would never see the day where he was forced to hurt his own friend, but in this situation, Mitch wondered if he even stood a chance against the Tainted Bacca, seeing how skilled he is at using his axe and what powers he might possess after going through the tainting process.
Jagrome ceases off his walking and glares at the human in front of him. His neon-green eyes begin to glow brighter and brighter. He whispers under his breath "Radioactive Beam...". Jagrome takes a step back and his head jerks back, a pair of bright green-glowing beams are fired out of his eyes. Mitch ducks down and watches the beams go towards the forest and hit a nearby tree. Mitch turns around and watches in shock as the tree is eaten up by the radioactive-looking green substance and slumps down, the trunk quickly gets eaten up. All that is left of the tree is just a glob of the green substance.
Mitch gapes as he looks back, but is met in the face by Jagrome's fist. The warrior is flung away, landing hard on his back. The amount of force put into the punch causes a black eye to Mitch's only remaining eye and causes immense waves of pain to erupt from his shredded part of his face. When the warrior tries to get up, he is brought down to the ground by the corrupted Bacca's foot. Mitch can only stare in distress as Jagrome stands over him with an evil grin stitched to his face, his eyes glow brightly in the unholy pride that is reeking off of his being. Jagrome raises his axe over his head and aims it right for Mitch beneath him.
"Any last words, human?!", Jagrome growled at him, waiting for the human beneath him to speak his final words before he ends his life.
Mitch cries out in desperation "Yes! Please, Jerome! Don't do this! I know you're still in there. Just please! Stop before you do something that you'll regret!"
Jagrome scoffs before saying "The only thing that I'll regret is not killing you! And stop calling me Jerome! I don't know who that is anymore! I am Jagrome!"
"But...biggums...", Mitch whimpered, tears threatening to fall again. "...it's me...Mitch. We were best friends back then. From the time that we were kids to the point that we reached adulthood...don't let the Taint take all of that away".
"...The only friend that I have is my axe", Jagrome coldly replied, showing the blade an inch away from Mitch's face, the injured PvP warrior cringes as he sees his face reflected off of the slightly scratched blade. Jagrome brings the axe back to him and responds with "Let's get one thing straight. I don't remember you. I don't remember what my original purpose in life was, nor why I existed in the first place. But I'm pretty sure it would have been a very terrible one if the Taint hadn't gotten to me. But if there's one thing I do know now, it's that humans are what I least desire now. I belong with my own kind, leading them into a life of prosperity and not having to be pushed around anymore by any foes who dare tries to mess with them. And what the Nether is biggums?!"
"It's...it's...it's the nickname that we call each other because we're friends...at least...we now used to me...", Mitch stuttered out.
Jagrome lets out a chuckle before saying "Pathetic. Anyway, I'm wasting my precious time here just talking to you. I'll be going off where I need to locate my kind and take my rightful as the leader of them. Then, I'll infect all of them with the Taint and they will hail me as not only the Ultimate PvP Warrior, but the savior of their kind". Jagrome turns and begins to make his way out of the clearing, but Mitch crawls after him in desperation in not getting left behind. But then, Jagrome stops in his tracks, which in turn makes Mitch stop as well.
"Oh, and one more thing", Jagrome said. "If you try and follow me..", Jagrome wields out his axe to show the warrior the message he's giving out. "...your head will roll. Get the picture?"
Mitch can't reply. He is too paralyzed in shock and fear to give an exclamation back to his former friend. Jagrome gives the injured warrior an evil grin before stating to him "So long, pathetic warrior". And with that, Jagrome sprints towards the trees and with a large leap, throws himself towards the branches and quickly disappears into the foliage of the trees, becoming nothing but a blur in Mitch's view. The rustling of leaves and branches can be heard before they become distant, then ceases off altogether. And once again...Mitch is left behind by not only his group of friends and the team, but now, his tainted ex-friend.
Mitch lets his head fall over as he grips the ground with his only hand, tears cascading down his remaining eye and drip to the ground. All that was happening to him...it couldn't be real. It just couldn't be!
"Why...why couldn't you have just infected me...?", Mitch manage to choke out, unable to handle the torrent wave of emotions and feelings that were ravaging his mind at that moment. A second later, he throws his head skyward and cries out "WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE JUST INFECTED ME!?"
His scream echoes out into the endless darkness, several nearby flocks of birds flee from the trees hearing the distressed cry of agonized abandonment. Mitch lowers his head once again as he tries to catch his breath, sobs escape out of him now and then as a trail of tears endlessly flow down his cheek and drop off, touching the blades of the grass beneath him. Slowly gain some form of strength, Mitch crawls over to the nearest tree he can find and rests against the bark.
The lone warrior starts taking in deep breaths, trying to recover his breath after his ordeal. He looks at the canopy of the tree he is underneath and sees several streams of red light escape through several openings within the leaves. He knew that it was the Blood Moon's immense lighting, surrounding him in a blanket of blood-redness. Bajan looks down at his severed hand and looks over the slightly bloody cast, wondering if this injury was going to affect him for the rest of his life. He sighs as he lets off the thought and is only reminded of the loneliness that he is now shrouded in. None of his friends knew he was lost in the forest, and his best friend has fallen into the hands of the corruption.
"I guess this is what it feels like to lose...only this time...it isn't in the Hunger Games", Mitch said to himself, bringing his knees close to his body. He sighs heavily as he ponders about what he will do now. Not only has he lost his brother, but he lost his girlfriend and now, he has lost his best friend in the entire world and there is possibly no way out there that could bring him back.
"I serve no purpose in this world now. Every one of my friends and family...left me to suffer...maybe Nero was right...I'm not a PvP warrior..and I guess I never will be", Mitch whispered to himself, frowning as he hides his face away in his knees and fresh steam of tears flow out of his black eye, adding more pain to the warrior to the overall pain that he is feeling from every injury on his body. Feeling weak from the pain sapping away his energy, Mitch shuts his only good eye and slowly drifts off to rest his wary body and hoping that someone or something may come along and help him.
Meanwhile, outside of the forest, Sky and the others find themselves in an empty field. Sky looks over from a hill and sees a untainted desert biome a short distance away from him and the others. "Hm...well, that desert biome hasn't been infected yet. It should prove to be a great hiding spot for the time being", Sky said to himself and turns around to see the others catch up to him and await him to tell them what to do.
"Okay, guys, I found a desert biome not too far from here that could prove to be a good hiding spot. We have enough resources to build a camp somewhere in the desert where it'll be safe, just until I can start trying to find a cure for the Taint", Adam explained. However, not everyone in the group seem to be convinced by Sky's statement as seeing how many areas the Taint has already corrupted. Some of them had doubtful looks while others just look at each other or at the ground. Adam quickly takes notice of these gestures and becomes concerned.
"What's wrong, guys? If you're worried about getting Tainted, there's nothing to worry about. The desert should provide us with a temporary shelter for the time being", Adam reassured them, but it does little to comfort the Minecrafters.
Via steps forward and states to him "It's not just that, Sky. It's merely the fact that you decided to leave my brother behind with Jerome".
"Via, listen. Mitch wasn't accepting the fact that Jerome was going to be corrupted. If we had stayed there any longer with Jerome, another one of us might have gotten infected. And a sickness going around us is the last thing I want happening right now", Adam explained to assert his decisions. Amongst the TC members and Minecrafters, Aver nervously shifts his eyes side to side. He still has Alix carried over his shoulders with no intention of letting him behind, not to let him face the same fate as Jerome did. But with the reminder about the Taint, Aver began to have thoughts about if he was actually infected with the Taint due to the scar over his eye, which only seems to have gotten worse as a odd purplish shading is now plastered over the red healed scar.
"It doesn't matter. This is Mitch we're talking about, Sky. He can't survive out there on his own", Via exclaimed in outrage towards the general.
"And why do you say that? Hearing from Mitch, he's always bragging around he is the best warrior and how nothing can bring him down", Adam pointed out.
"He can't live on without Jerome. He's been there for him since they were kids. And do you honestly want to ruin that friendship for him?!", Via questioned, crossing her arms over her chest. Sky remains silent for a moment, his expression hidden behind his sunglasses as the glowing light emitting from his butterfly wings only seem to intensify, expressing unreleased anger within his being. Via is slightly startled by this, but she doesn't show it.
After an unnerving minute passes, Sky replies with "I didn't ruin the friendship he had with Jerome. Mitch is responsible for his own actions and decisions, and if he wanted to stay behind and get infected, that's fine by me". Via gasps in shock as she hears the general say this. Sky turns around as he looks back towards the desert biome. He states without turning around "Now...if any of you feel like you can survive out there, now's your chance. But one drawback...don't come back 'cause it'll already be too late for you. Those who want to continue living without corruption...follow my lead".
Sky walks off of the hill and makes his way towards the desert. Slowly, some of the Minecrafters begin to follow his lead, knowing too well that going off on their own for their benefit will only make them easy targets for corrupting beings roaming out in the Tainted biomes. Via just stays behind while everyone slowly make their way over the hill. She just scoffs at the general's stubbornness and arrogance he is expressing, especially ever since he make the ultimate sacrifice of his beloved ship. She glances over slightly and sees Aver walking up to join her by her side.
Via looks back out and questions to him "Can you believe him, Aver? To think that we can just keep running away from the Taint so we can be safe and find a cure and slowly, we get picked off one by one by the toxin. It'll only be a matter of time before we're all infected with the Taint if we continue to follow Sky's seemingly disaster-causing decisions".
"I don't know", Aver responded unsurely. "I mean, Sky does have a point. We all can't survive out there in the wilderness on our own with the Taint infecting everything. Plus, Mitch didn't want to come with us, so we couldn't just force him to the ground and drag him away from Jerome".
"Aver, from the day that we're born, we are to be taught the skills of surviving out in the wild. Sky is starting to make it look like we can't defend ourselves, so he's making us coming with him every step of the way while one by one, we get left behind", Via insisted, turning towards the half-devil man. Aver sigh heavily as he shuts his eyes tightly for a moment, as if he was trying to suppress something. But Via doesn't seem to take notice of it.
Avernus looks back at her and says "I really don't know what to say, Via. But if you feel in your heart that your brother was faced with injustice, you can go back to the forest and try to find him. But I think at this point in time, he might have already gotten infected with the Taint. But there's no stopping you, I guess. Me? I'm gonna join up with the others in the desert only because I need to really rest my feet...plus, I'm getting tired of holding Alix over my shoulders". The recruit glances over his shoulder and sees his friend hanging loosely over his shoulders. "Doing okay there, buddy?", Aver asked.
"...The force...is strong...with..this padawan", Alix manage to get out in a strange tone of voice. His head jerks violently as a spark flies out before Alix hangs back down again.
Aver and Via stand in awkwardness for a moment before Aver looks back up and states "Yeah...I'm just gonna go before he loses it again. But...please consider the risks you could be taking if you go and try to locate Mitch. The last thing I want to see is you getting corrupted". Aver grunts as he heaves Alix more onto his shoulders before he sets off to catch up with the others. Via watches in silence as the man makes his way to the top of the hill, then disappears out of sight.
Via glances back at the forest, judging whether or not she should risk getting Tainted for the safety of her brother. A cold blast of wind flows out of the forest, causing the branches to wave gently and a couple of leaves fall out and land on the ground. The gentle breeze hits against Via's dark wings, sending a shiver up the girl's spine. She looks at her wings and spots the bandages covering her still-recovering injuries she received from Enderlox. Via is sadden as she longs to fly again, but she had promised herself to follow along Oceanus's words and do what he had told her to do. Without the use of her wings, searching through the forest by foot would only take longer and be more dangerous.
Finally realizing that it might be too late for her brother, Via turns back around and bows her head towards the ground, a small tear trails down her cheek and falls off her chin. Then, Via abruptly picks her head up and looks towards the night sky, barely managing to catch the dark silhouette of her pet hawk, Midnight. The hawk encircles her for a moment above her before making her way towards the human. Via turns her body slightly and holds our her arm as Midnight glides over to the extended limb and lands perfectly near her wrist and balances herself on her arm.
Via sighs sadly as she gives the hawk a faint smile. "Oh, Midnight...why couldn't we just live in simpler times instead of being caught up in all of this paranoia and such?" Midnight just bows her head once before looking up at her owner, understanding what she told her and sensing how she is feeling. Via slowly picks up her hand and runs one of her fingers across the hawk's head, soothing down the feathers on the predator's head. Via lowers her hand down before saying "Come on, Midnight. Let's get out of here. Wherever my brother is...I can only hope that he'll be okay. Without me being able to fly...it'll take forever for me to find him in that forest and maybe then...he'll be corrupted by the time I find him".
Trying to hold back the thought of abandoning her own brother for her well-being and reluctant to move at that point, Via forces herself to step away from the forest. She begins to trudge towards the hill, Midnight remains on her arm as she keeps a close eye out for any threats. After Via disappears over the hill to catch up with the others, an unknown figure steps out of the forest and glares at the hill, a mixture of a anger mixed with a sadness is stirred in the figure's eyes. Two other heads appear behind the figure and look out as well, one of the head's eyes being red while the other is blue. The figure stares silently for a couple of moments...before speaking in two distorted voices.
"...I finally found you", the figure growled out.
Meanwhile, in a secluded part of the forest, hidden deep within the brushes and leaves is a tree, but this tree wasn't like the others. This tree is the tallest of all of the surrounding trees in the area, scaling as tall as a skyscraper. But the other unique thing about this tree...is that a group of Baccas inhabit the tall plant.
Within the thick and long branches pointing outward, a familiar clan of the creatures have called this place their home and are living peacefully amongst each other, completely unaware of the danger that is happening around them.
The leader of the Baccas, however, is the only one who senses the danger. The dull-gold Bacca stands upon one of the branches in the tall tree and gazes out at the forest, something deep in him was bothering him. While the other Baccas went about their normal ways, a Bacca warrior walks forward and sees the leader standing all by himself on the branch. Worried, the warrior approaches the leader until he is standing a few feet away from the lead Bacca and questions "Something wrong, Leader Eldridge?"
Eldridge sighs heavily before turning around and replies to the warrior "Just...something has been bothering me lately...like...a dark evil has descended upon the world and slowly covering the land in its evil blanket". The warrior seems worried about what Eldridge had said, then tries to reassure him by saying "Leader, with all due respect, you shouldn't worry. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Besides, the humans we met who had your son will stop it".
"I'm not too sure. This evil...it's-it's different. I-I know it. It's seems...too strong", Eldridge stuttered out, his senses telling him that something in the air wasn't right. "In fact, look at all of the signs. The day never changes, the night is always here, and what's more...take a gander at the moon". Eldridge raises his staff towards the air. The warrior takes a step closer to see the moon and gapes in horror at what he sees. Floating above the land is the Blood Moon, shining brighter than it did before and looking even more sinister than ever.
"Okay...that's not normal", the warrior manage to speak out, unable to believe that the moon would even be able to change colors. Eldridge nods once before saying "Without a shadow of a doubt, there's definitely something evil going on. I just don't know what it is".
"SIR!", another voice cried out. Eldridge and the warrior turn around and see a gatherer Bacca running across the base of the tree while several other Baccas glance up in alarm. The gatherer Bacca reaches up to Eldridge and exclaims "There's another one of one kind making his way up the tree! But...but he looks unnatural! Unrecognizable! Completely different!"
"Are you sure of this?!", Eldridge asked in alarm.
Before the gatherer can respond, several Baccas near the center flooring of the tree gasp in shock. Everyone within the ginormous tree shift their gaze towards one of the edges of the tree. Out of the edge, the sharp blade of an axe is chopped into the edge. A furry paw armed with sharp, black claws appears and hooks itself right next to the axe. Then, a large figure hoists itself over the edge and unhooks the axe from the wooden floor that makes up the main center of the tree.
The other Baccas stand in high alert as the foliage of the tree makes it difficult to recognize who the figure is, but the unusual large outline of the figure quickly makes the others know that this is definitely not human. The figure takes a few unnerving steps before the light of the Blood Moon reveals the figure to be Jagrome. The other Baccas gasp and begin to whisper to each other, the males narrow their sight at the strange-looking creature while the females stood back with their younglings. Eldridge takes a risk and steps forward, the others Baccas watch in amazement as their leader approaches Jagrome until he is standing a few feet away from him.
"J...Jerome?", Eldridge questioned, able to recognize the very faint scent of his son from this figure that looked nothing like the last time he saw him. Jagrome grins evilly before hissing out "I am no longer Jerome. I...am Jagrome. And I, as the Ultimate PvP Warrior, am privileged to say that I challenge YOU for the position of leader for this clan of Baccas!"
The other Bacs gasps again as they look at each other. Their leader has held his position as leader of their clan from almost the beginning of their lives. Not one member of the tribe has ever stepped forward and challenged their leader to show themselves to be a better leader than Eldridge is. And even if someone did, Eldridge's fighting skills and strategies are considered legendary by the others. He could take down an entire village in less than a day if he wanted to, but the Baccas felt uncomfortable when it came to humans or villagers, so they'd try and stay as far from them as possible. Plus, it wasn't in their nature to destroy.
Eldridge drops his jaw slightly as he hears these words come from his son. He couldn't believe that he was getting challenged by his own flesh and blood, only that he wasn't himself anymore. Jagrome gives the leader an evil smile, his neon-green eyes shine in mischievous as he waits for an answer from the leader. The others worry about what their leader will say. Either way that goes will have a terrible outcome.
But then, Eldridge glances at the Bacca in front of him and states to him in a monotone voice "Very well. If it's a challenge you want, it's a challenge you'll get. Go ahead and make your way to the battle arena near the base of the tree. I'll be there".
"Good...", Jagrome hissed in delight, then slowly steps away from the leader and starts making his way down the tree using his axe. The others are speechless as they can't comprehend what just happened. The warrior that Eldridge spoke to earlier runs over to him and exclaims in worry "Eldridge! You just challenged to fight against your own son!"
"The creature that I saw wasn't my son", Eldridge simply said. "It's a shell that my real son is now trapped in. Perhaps if I best him in battle, I might be able to get through to him".
"I don't know, Eldridge. He's seems far too powerful", the warrior added.
"Nonsense. My skills as the leader of this tribe have gotten me through tough times. I'm sure that a simple battle between my son will solve everything", Eldridge reassured the warrior. The leader starts making his way down a flight of stairs, the other Baccas can only look at each other and hope that the something good will come out of this.
Several minutes later, the entire clan of Baccas show up to a small clearing of the forest where a battle is about to go underway. The clearing is often used for those who are wanting to be warriors and test their skills against each other or using targets. However, this arena is about to be used. Males and females stand behind the wooden fencing surrounding the area and peer nervously through the openings.
Then, they turn their sights to the left side of the area when they hear a gate being open. Eldridge walks out with his staff in hand, determination gleaming in his eyes. On the other side, Jagrome appears as well. Evilness radiates off of his body as he glares at the enemy in front of him. With his sharp axe in hand, he walks towards the opponent at the same pace. The others behind the fence watch in anxiousness as the two fighters approach towards the center of the ring. Then, they stop several feet away from each other. Eldridge wields out his staff, then the others watch in awe as the staff transforms and becomes a weapon, both ends are armed with sharp blades and the small gems attached to the tip of the staff are hidden away in a small compartment.
Eldridge swings the weapon around a couple of times before he wields one of the ends in front of him. Jagrome looks with little interest in the weapon wielded in front of him and only keeps his sight on the leader of the clan. Eldridge states to him "It isn't too late to change your mind, Jerome. Do you still wish to battle?"
Jagrome chuckles evilly before saying "This shouldn't take long. And as a personal challenge for myself, I'll fight you without using my axe". Jagrome picks up his axe and throws to the side of him. The sharp weapon spins through the air before hooking itself into the bark of a nearby tree, the others cringe in fear as they move away from the tree. Jagrome lowers his hands down and gets into a fighting stance.
Eldridge is slightly surprised by the Bacca's actions, but nonetheless, he accepts the warrior's decision and states to him "Very well. Your choice, but it might make your grab for victory difficult". Without warning, the leader takes off like a bullet and runs right for the Ultimate PvP Warrior, Jagrome grins as he waits patiently for the leader to reach him. When he sense that Eldridge is closing in, Jagrome closes his eyes tightly as he gathers one of his hands in a fist.
"Torch Punch...", Jagrome whispered to himself, his fist combusts out of nowhere and is covered by a bright green flame. At the last second before the leader can strike at him with his weapon, Jagrome lunges backwards and delivers the sickening move at Eldridge's face. The amount of force put into the punch is enough to cause the leader to thrown backwards, the amount of power is enough to cause Eldridge's jaw to go to the other side and a grotesque crack can be heard from him, the green flames scorch the entire left side of his face and burn off his fur.
The others watch in horror as their leader is thrown away from the PvP warrior and slams against the wooden fences. Jagrome releases his hand as the green flames die away. Eldridge, unable to talk, weakly lifts half of his body from the ground and gazes in shock, unable to believe that in one swift attack, his corrupted son was able to bring him to the ground. Jagrome looks at the ground and sees that Eldridge had let go of his weapon, which has now turned back into its original form as a staff.
The warrior claims his prize and picks up the staff, admiring the golden structure of it before gripping the middle part of it and watches as the gold is turned into a black color. The very tip of it is curved and armed with sharp edges, the center of it holds a glowing purple orb. Jagrome takes an even better liking to the staff and jabs the other end of it into the ground. He looks ahead and sees Eldridge trying to get to his feet. He casually makes his way over to the fallen leader and kneels down as he grabs him by his neck. Eldridge grunts in pain as he is forced to look into the corrupted PvPer.
"What's wrong? Unable to believe that you couldn't withstand a punch for more than five seconds? You're pathetic! So you might as well admit it...I won and you lost," Jagrome exclaimed to him. Eldridge can only stare at the warrior for a few seconds, then the corrupted Bacca states out "Oh, that's right. You can't even admit when your jaw is broken halfway. Well...I think it's safe to say that you will no longer be of use to me anymore".
Jagrome forcefully lets go of Eldridge's neck and stands back up. Then, his sadistic look turns into a glare as he looks around at the others Baccas standing around and staring at him. "And as for the rest of you...", Jagrome began, glancing at every single creature at that moment. "You are to obey all of my commands and do as I say or else you'll be meeting the same fate as this former leader did. I shall now take the position as leader of the Bacca Aceti Tribe! Now...is that understood?"
The others look at each other, unsure if they actually wanted Eldridge's son as their leader when they can clearly see that the Bacca wasn't himself. When Jagrome notices the odd silence in the air, he grins before saying "I had a feeling I would get this reaction. Good thing that I am in control of the Taint".
Jagrome jabs his staff into the ground and watches as the Taint flows out like a river from the orb, surrounding the air in the gaseous version of the Taint. Eldridge immediately recognizes the purplish substance and quickly covers his mouth to prevent the toxin from entering his body. He can only watch as the entire clan of Baccas breathe in the toxin and fall to the ground in agony. Jagrome chuckles evilly as he hears the sounds of bodies hitting the ground and the pained screams or groans of the Baccas.
When the air eventually clears up from the Taint, Eldridge slowly uncovers his mouth and stares as Jagrome removes the staff and stares at him with an amused look.
"In case you're wondering what I did to the clan, let's just say I made them make sure that they follow me and no longer follow you. Plus...I added a bit of a boost in their performances", Jagrome growled happily, then cross his arms and stands with great posture as the fences surrounding the arena is torn down by corrupted Baccas. The multiple creatures snarls as a purplish foam coats over their mouths and jaws, their eyes completely black with only a pair of purple pupils, and their fur becoming only more unruly and choke in clumps.
Eldridge widens his eyes in fear as he completely surrounded by his now corrupted clan of Baccas. The furry creatures hiss and lick their jaws as they stare at the only untainted Bacca they are surrounding.
Eldridge stumbles to his feet and paws as he begins to make a run for it. The other Baccas growl and hiss as the former leader of their clan takes off into the forest. When some of the creatures get into a stance to chase after Eldridge, Jagrome raises one of his paws and states to them "Don't bother wasting your energy in chasing him. Besides, he'll be dead before he can find any help".
Jagrome walks over to a nearby rock and stands on top of it as his new clan of corrupted Baccas stare at him with eagerness in their empty and soulless eyes. Jagrome looks over his clan and exclaims to them "Hear me, brethren! No longer will we suffer from the destruction of our forests from humans! No longer will we fear the drop of our kind's numbers because of disease and hunting! And no longer will we be pushed around like nothing by anyone! With me as your new leader...I WILL LEAD ALL OF US TO VICTORY!"
Jagrome raises his newly claimed staff into the air as the others Baccas begin to roar or howl in union for their new leader. Jagrome lowers his staff and looks around at the raving numbers of Baccas standing before him. Then, he slowly turns his head and glances over his shoulder and says "Now...let's take a little visit to a friend of mine".
