Chapter 26: Remembering
TK: Do you think it will take us too long to convince them?
Kari: I hope not…we need to convince them really quick…the darkness seems to be stronger than ever.
TK: You're right…we need to split up probably…
Kari: Yes…I'll go first to Tai…you take Matt, I guess it'll be the fastest to convince them.
TK: Then we need to focus on the others! But what if we can't convince Tai and Matt…we're doomed…
Kari: But how are we going to do it…I mean we need to talk them into it or…
TK: From what I noticed it comes by itself…
Kari: We need to try with Tai and Matt. Let's go.

Kari called Tai up to meet him and he came to their favorite diner.
Tai: What's up Kari?! I heard from mom that something happened at prom!
Kari: Yes…about that…
Tai: What happened?
Kari: Well…there's something I need your help with…

Kari (Pointing to Gatomon who was pretending to be a doll): What do you think?

A bright light was shining and Agumon appeared next to Tai.
Agumon: TAI! You remembered me! I'm so happy!
Tai: Agumon! I've missed you buddy! All this time I thought I missed a part of me, and now I know I have it back!
Kari: Great! We need to catch up with Matt and TK!

TK: Matt, listen to me, there is no time to explain it all to you…there are some things going on and I need you to remember our adventures together!
Matt: Listen to yourself TK! What are you talking about?! We barely lived together! What adventures?!
TK: The one we had in the Digital World with Tai, Sora, Kari, Izzy and the others!
Matt: Look…Sora and Tai never were on "adventures" with me! And who in the world is this Izzy?!
TK: Oh God…this is not good…I need you to remember asap!
Matt: TK, how about we go to my place and have a beer and talk about this? Huh…
Tai: Hey TK! We're here!
TK: Tai! Kari! Good! We need to convince Matt!
Matt: Tai, good that you are here…wait a minute what are you doing here?! We haven't been talking for a while now…
Tai (hugging him): Matt! I missed you buddy!

Kari: Nothing's wrong he just remembered everything, that's all! We need you to remember as well!

TK: Matt! You have to remember! There is no time! The darkness will soon come and we need to be ready!
Kari: TK…we need to think of something else…
Matt: Look you all seem to be crazy, I'm gonna call the police to get you away from here…sorry but this is totally not normal behavior!
At that moment Tai punched Matt in the face and he fell to the ground.
Tai: You are pissing me off Matt! How many times do I have to punch you till you get it?!

Tai: What? You what?!
Matt: I remember…your punch…you woke me up from this madness! Gabumon! Gabumon!
Gabumon: I'm here! Matt! You remember!
Matt: Gabumon! Guys! I missed you all so much!
TK: Can't believe Tai got you to remember!
Matt: I'm sorry guys! So what's the plan? Do we need to make everyone remember?
Kari: I'm afraid so…probably best if we split up…
Tai: Alright! I'll go to Izzy!
Matt: I'll go to Sora.
TK: I think I'll take Cody first…should be easy…
Kari: Then I'll go to Yolei.
Tai: That leaves Mimi, Joe, Davis and Ken…
Kari: We'll see to convince them too…text each other when we finish ok?
TK: Fine with me. I'm off.
TK arrived at Cody's school, where he saw Cody through the window in class. TK knew he could not take him out of class so he decided to wait for Cody to finish the lesson and then he would talk to him. He saw Cody going down the stairs from outside and coming to him on the pitch in front of the school. He saw Cody being picked on by other students, but his friend did not say much back. He just went with it. As Cody walked further he looked at TK who was standing in front of him. Then he looked back at the ground and continued his way past TK.
TK: You shouldn't let them treat you that way.
Cody: What do you know about being treated this way? Just mind your own business…
TK: I might not know much, but I do know that it's not the way they should treat you…and the first step to finish this is if you stand up to them!
Cody: Just spare me your crap…
TK: Why do they do this? You weren't like this before…
Cody: Before? Look I don't know you and I don't know what you want from me, but I'll walk away now before I call the police!
TK: Cody…I'm sorry look, I can explain there is no need for…
Cody: How do you know my name? What do you want from me?! Who do you think you are?!
TK: I'm TK! I'm your friend! You have to remember me! We need you!
Cody: Look man, I've never met you in my life and judging by the fact that you know my name is really creepy and you're behaving like a stalker!
Meanwhile others were gathering around the two of them.
TK: Cody, let's discuss this somewhere else…
Cody: No we won't! Tell me what do you want with the creep of the school? Is it not enough that I embarrassed myself by asking the most beautiful girl of the school for prom, or that I am just studying nonstop because no one wants to be my friend? Huh? Tell me! Is it not enough?!
TK: Cody you have friends! You have me and Yolei, and Kari, Davis, Joe, Izzy…
Cody: Who are these people?! What in the world do you think you're doing!
Professor: Listen, Sir…I suggest you leave now, before we call the police.
TK: No need…I just need Cody to come with me…
Professor: I'm afraid that's not going to happen.
TK: There is no choice in the matter.
Professor: The security guards will deal with you until the police will arrive.
TK: Bring it on…
Two guards jumped at him, but TK did not even flinch. With one move both missed him and hit each other.
TK: I'm not going to repeat myself Cody. I need your help and you play a big role in this one!
Cody: No I'm not! Leave!
Cody's rage was increasing. TK noticed that clouds were forming above them.
TK: This is not good…you need to calm down Cody! You're inviting darkness in!
Professor: You sir are totally crazy.
Not even a second passed when a dark cloud was forming in front of them. It was forming quickly and took the form of an immense MarineDevimon.
TK: Cody, now is the time to remember. Patamon alone will not be able to cope with this Digimon alone!
Cody: Stop this nonsense! What in the world is that?!
TK: It's a Digimon. Darkness is strong right now! And if we don't stop it, it will be the end of the world as we know it! Patamon!
The Digimon jumped from his backpack.
TK: Digiarmor energize!
Patamon: Patamon armor-digivolve to…Pegasusmon.
TK jumped on Pegasusmon and flew towards MarineDevimon. After a few hits, MarineDevimon had the upper hand and threw Pegasusmon and TK to the ground.
TK: Cody! Remember!
Cody: I can't…I don't know…
TK: Remember when we managed to unite our hearts and managed the DNA Digievolution…we had a rough patch but we did succeed!
Cody: You're right…we did…we did! Armadillomon!
A bright light was shining and Ankylomon appeared.
TK: That's the spirit!
Cody: Are you ok TK?
TK: So you remember me, huh?
Cody: How could I have ever forgotten…
TK: What do you say we teach MarineDevimon a lesson?
Patamon digivolved to Angemon and together with Ankylomon then transformed into Shakkoumon. The Digimon did not need much time to dispose of MarineDevimon, but as soon as he had done so, the darkness did not disappear, but it became thicker and thicker.
TK: It's time…they're here…we're doomed if the others don't come quickly…
