About a couple minutes later...
Katie was sitting at her house after the fall out has happened. Katie talked to her father about what has happened to the junkyard, and now Ghostly and Ol' Gabby are out of a job because of Crystal's actions. Katie felt like she was wanting to end the friendship between the two of them from now on, since this time things have gone too far between Crystal and the rest of the goths. She wish that it was all just some sort of joke that she was hearing about what Crystal was doing, but seeing this in reality, it's really messed up for her to even think about.
The tomboy just laid on her couch, reading a random book off of her shelf, just staring at it. All of the sudden, the sound of a knock came onto the door. Katie's father went to go see who it was outside. And wouldn't they know it, it was Annie who was here right now. The rock music lover walks into the house, and goes over to the living room to see what Katie was up to.
"Hey Kate..." Annie said. "...I was coming over to see how your date last night went." Katie lowers her book, looking at Annie.
"My date?" Katie asked confused at first, before suddenly knowing what she was talking about. "Oh, yeah! Me and Chaz's date! Well..." Katie sat up, scratching her head, looking at her best friend. "It was quite a night between me and Chaz...and...well, I did bring my mother up to him...and then he brought his mother up to me too. And I can say that...I feel like we have the same problems, you know?" Annie sat next to the tomboy.
"Do you feel happier when you told him?" Katie shrugs.
"I feel a bit...okay after telling him...I'm a bit...off right now."
"What happened?"
"Did you even see or hear what has happened back a couple hours ago? Crystal went nuts, and just had the entire goth group of hers, except for Ghostly and his three other goth friends, in prison. Things went to hell back at the junkyard." Annie seemed worried hearing that from her friend.
"Crystal got her group arrested?"
"And had the junkyard destroyed. Everything in the junkyard is gone is completely gone, all on the ground, or now rumble." Katie looks forward, shaking her head in annoyance. "So now every goth in that group is behind bars, and now things are all...just bad now...like complete shit." Annie cringed, looking down to the floor.
"So...now you and Crystal are no longer friends, I assume?" Katie nods.
"You read my mind, dude. You totally read my mind." Katie leans back on the couch, crossing her arms, looking at the rock music lover next to her. "So yeah, I kind of stopped being friends with Crystal today. Which I should've seen coming from the start of the friendship..." Katie slaps both of her hands onto her knees, then looks forward. "I mean...she's a rebel, I'm not that much of a rule-breaker. I knew a friendship between the both of us won't last forever." Katie looks down, shaking her head in annoyance. "If only I met Violet or you sooner in my life, you know?" Annie shrugs.
"Didn't you break rules as a kid or teen?" Katie shrugs.
"At times...but they weren't too big, and one landed me in detention."
"Really, what was it?" Katie giggles a bit.
"Making the classroom lizard escape it's tank. I was only ten at the time, and I felt like he needed some exercise. So I just allowed him out of the glass tank, only for it to...go around, and scare most of the other girls in the classroom. Honestly, I didn't know he'd scare them if he was out. Most of the students loved Scales." Annie raises an eyebrow. "Scales was the name of the lizard. Liberty gave him the name after the teacher brought it into the class, and we all agreed on Liberty's choice of a name since the rest of our name ideas sucked." Annie laughs at Katie's story there.
"Nice one, Kate."
Katie giggles to herself, but stopping herself, since she still feels a bit bothered by what happened the entire morning. She just hoped that her best friend and his boss would be able to find themselves some sort of light in this situation that they were in right now. Katie didn't know what will happen to Ol' Gabby without the junkyard, but she was just going to have to hope that he finds something to do in the meantime before the junkyard is fully fixed again.
Even though the junkyard being fixed will be indefinitely at the moment, as said by Ghostly...
Katie just looks at her phone on the coffee table, picking it up, and ready to call Ghostly about how Ol' Gabby is doing right now, hoping that he is alright through the problem that he was facing right now. Katie looks over to Annie, and then nods. She gives Ghostly a call, as Annie just sat there patiently as Katie gives her blue hair friend a call.
"Hello?" Ghostly asked on the other line. "Katie, what's up?"
"Oh, hey Ghostly..." Katie said. "It's been...a couple hours since the junkyard situation...and...I was calling to see how things have been. I hope you're not too upset about what has happened...but...I stopped being friends with Crystal if you're angry with her..."
"A couple things...I am still a bit angry, and...disappointed at Crystal, but me and Ol' Gabby have other jobs too. It's just that the junkyard was really the one place me and him really have good times at. You know? Second...you didn't really have to stop being friends with Crystal just because of me, Kate...you could've still been friends with her."
"I don't want a friend who places herself above others, Ghostly. I want a friend who wouldn't do...that bullshit that was pulled back there..." Katie rubs her forehead.
"I understand...and...listen...Violet was hoping to...find a new group to hang out with now that she quit being with the goths now. I'm sort of on the same boat...but now we have no other group to turn to..."
"You have Ray and Raven in your group." Katie smiled. "You four could basically be a group on your own...and...probably start fresh...am I right?"
"True. But...I usually don't like to pick the leader in groups whenever me and my friends make one up. Besides, I think Violet needs a little bit of space from the goths, and so do I. They've been kind of hellish to be around ever since both of us joined. So yeah...that's kind of what we're doing."
"Where are you now?"
"Still at the SPA Agency. Ol' Gabby was planning pressing charges against the goths, and...I just wonder how things are going to play out."
"Are you going to help Ol' Gabby out too?"
"Depends...if he really wants me to. He usually has this stuff settled on his own. Think you're going to try to interfere and probably help out?"
"Doubt it...I just...want to leave things how they are right now, and just not interfere with the whole junkyard fiasco. I don't want to be apart of, or defend Crystal's antics when it comes to the whole 'Destroy the Junkyard' bullshit." Katie rolled her eyes, leaning back on the couch. "So no...I'm not really planning on joining along this problem. But...if Ol' Gabby does take you along to help him win this court case...then best luck to you, dude."
"Thank you, Kate."
"No problem." Katie looks over to Annie. "Anyways, since Annie is here with me right now. I think I'm going to go and do something with her now. I'll see you when things go either good or bad for the rest of the goths."
"I'll see you later, Kate."
"Bye." Katie hangs up the phone, and then places it in her pocket. She stood up, and then looks over to Annie. "Well...let's go do something then, Annie. I have my job at night, so...me and you are to do something upstairs until then." Annie nods.
"Can me and you play Halo together then?" Annie asked her.
"Okay. Let's go play that then."
The two tomboys went upstairs to go and play some video games together, until Katie went off to go and do her dentist shift, a couple hours later. Katie wondered the entire time playing her game, how Chaz feels about this whole situation, since she really hasn't talked to him today, mainly because he had a shift at his father's auto shop at the time she was at Gino's to hear about the situation.
