Halloween

(Renesmee's POV)

When I woke up, the light shone through my window with the paper bat decorations I made the other day taped on the glass. I made a few for Lily and Aidan's rooms as well. Aunt Alice told me we gotta make every room as spooky as we can. I look further out the window see all the beautiful trees changing color. Their leaves floating in the wind as they prepared for winter. It was truly a perfect fall day, but more important today was Halloween and there was just too much excitement right now. It's the day for scares, fun, and most importantly, candy! I couldn't wait to head to school in my vampire costume and show off to everyone. I was just wondering if people would make stereotypical references about us. That's what I was the more curious about.

"Are you ready for school, baby girl?" Momma asked me as she entered the room.

"Yep!" I exclaimed, jumping out of my bed. "Let's go!"

"Alright, baby," She said, taking my hand. We then head over to the main house where Aunt Alice is going to help me with my costume.

When we get there Aunt Alice is already in her pixie costume prancing around like the little tinker bell she is. It truly does fit her persona. I couldn't picture a better costume for my energetic aunt than tinker bell.

"Come on, Nessie!" she called out to me, wavering her hand at me. "Let's get you ready, my little vampire!"

"Woo!" I cheered following my aunt into her room. This is where she's going to help me out with my make-up and hair. She brushed my hair out so it was down my back in nice waves. She added a little bit of more pale makeup to my face to get that 'vampire' look.

"Nice! And now for the costume," she sung gleefully as she helped into my black dress. The dress it's self was made of that velvety material. It was all black except for the pink bodice that wrapped around my upper body. I even had one of those huge pink collars like your classic Dracula. For the final touch, Aunt Alice gave me fake fangs to put in my mouth.

"Where's my little vampire?" Momma called out when I was all ready. I then approached my family eagerly in my costume, showing it off to them.

"Nessie! You're so scary, but in a good way," Lily told me as she came into the room. She was still in her pajamas since she wasn't going trick or treating till later tonight.

"Thanks Lil," I chuckled, smiling at my little cousin.

"So...Are you ready for school little vampire?" Daddy asked me, walking over.

"Where's Jakey?" I asked curiously, noticing my wolf best friend is nowhere to be seen. He's normally here to see me off to school.

"He'll be coming later for trick or treating. Don't worry! He's going to come eventually. He's just setting things up," Momma explained to me.

"Alright," I agreed. With that, I then went with my parents to school. When I got there, everyone was dressed up. It was really cool. My teacher, Miss Derek, was a witch. Kind of like how my grandma is one today when she'll pass out candy with my grandpa.

"Oh hello Renesmee, I see someone is a little vampire today." Miss Derek smiled warmly as I entered the classroom.

"Yep and I see you're a witch," I pointed out, causing her to nod.

"Yes I am. Now, you're friends are pretty excited to see you so try to find them," She told me. "And also, Happy Halloween!"

"Happy Halloween!" I replied before I began to look for my friends again. I kind of just sniffed them out and looked to where there scent was the strongest. When I finally get their scents I look to see a cat, a bride, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and a hobo.

"Nessie!" Irene called to me in her cat costume. "You're here!"

"Hey guys!" I exclaimed, rushing over to my friends.

"You look awesome, Ness," Nikki told me. She was the bride, Sarah was Dorothy, and Richie was the hobo. All of their costumes were extremely creative.

"You guys look good too!" I complemented my friends.

"Come on! Miss Derek said we're gonna have a Halloween party today! We'll get lots of candy!" Richie explained to me, his entire body vibrating from excitement.

"I'm kind of scared to see him on a sugar rush," Nikki teased causing Richie's face to form a mock pout.

"Hahaha very funny," he remarked sarcastically.

"Come on guys, let's have fun! It's Halloween!" I told my friends, trying to lighten the mood before Nikki and Richie would begin bickering again.

"Ness is right, come on," Sarah smiled in agreement.

We all go over to our table where we have a bunch of Halloween activities. We had Halloween math and other educational activities based on the spooky holiday. At the end of class many of the parents brought in a bunch of sweets for our celebration. I was surprised to see Grandma had brought brownies in with little candy spiders on them. Irene's mommy is a baker so she made these really cool cupcakes for us that have candy bats and designs on them. Sarah brought in sugar cookies while Nikki brought in chocolate chip, and last but not least Richie brought in bags of candy for everyone.

Miss Derek also gave us each a bag of candy and we all happily munched on our sweets while having some fun Halloween activities. There was a station for bopping for apples, pin the stem on pumpkin, a bunch of coloring activities, and finally there was also an arts and craft activity were we made our own spider webs out of yarn and lollipop sticks.

Now I was with my friends around the bopping for apple station and we were having challenges. It was Nikki against Richie now and they were both ready to go.

"On your mark..." I trailed off, waiting for the right moment. My two friends looked anxious as ever, waiting for my final say.

"Get set...GO!"

Nikki and Richie stick their heads into the container and being pulling the apples out one by one. Irene was watching the time waiting for one minute to be over.

"50..51..52..53..54...55...56...57...58...59...60! Time's up!" Irene called out to our friends.

"Let's see hmmm who got the most apples," I murmured as Sarah and I count them up.

"Looks like Nikki is the winner," Sarah announced. "She just won by two more apples!"

"Awww," Richie groaned.

"Ya I win!" Nikki sung, dancing around.

"Very funny, Nik," Richie mumbled, his arms crossing over his chest.

"Someone is a swore loser."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are-"

"Okay both of you stop," I giggled, scolding at them.

"Fine," They mumbled in agreement. Soon the bell rings indicating it's time to go home. That only means one thing...Time for trick or treating!

I rush outside to see Momma, Daddy, Aunt Alice, Uncle Jazzy, Aunt Rose, Uncle Emmy, and my cousins all waiting for me in the parking lot. The only person missing is Jacob. Which causes me to frown because besides dropping me off, he's always there for pick up. I then noticed everyone is in costume and is ready for the festivities.

"Hey baby girl," Momma greeted me the moment I ran up to her.

"Momma school was so much fun- look I got candy!" I exclaimed, showing off the bag to my mother.

"Oh honey that's wonderful," she smiled, cupping my cheek.

"Where's Jake?" I asked, looking all around for my wolf friend.

"He'll meet up with us shortly. We're going to go trick or treating by La Push," Daddy explained to me.

"Okay," I agreed. We then head into the cars before crossing the line into Quileute territory. Today was a special day because the vampires were allowed over. Then again, since I was born the rules have been a little loose for my family. Just as long as we respect each other, everything's alright.

When we get there we pull up to Jacob's house. I grinned widely seeing Jacob in his wolf costume, waiting for us on the front steps. I also noticed Seth's there. He's in a costume as well. I think he's batman? Seth could be silly sometimes. I think that's what I liked about him the most.

"Jakey!" I exclaimed, running out of the car to greet him.

"Ness!" He smiled, picking me and swirling me around in a hug. "How's my favorite little vampire today?"

"Good!" I said. "And how's my werewolf?"

"Great," He answered chuckling as he placed me down on the ground.

I then turn to Seth who's smiling at the two of us, "Hey Seth! Happy Halloween!"

"Hey kiddo. Happy Halloween!" He said, giving me a big old hug. "I bet you scared a ton of people with that costume."

"Not really, but I'm sure if they knew I was part vampire they'd be scared." I teased. I then bit my lip, "Any word on Grandpa Charlie and Nana Sue?"

"Yeah. Your grandpa just called me last night. They're still having fun up at the lake house. Those two are just celebrating the fact that they're getting hitched. They deserve the vacation," Seth told me with a smile.

Grandpa Charlie and Nanna Sue went up to a lake house to celebrate the fact Charlie proposed to Sue. Well he actually proposed this summer. My grandpa tried to be creative. I was there when he did it. He was having a BBQ at his house. The whole wolf pack was there along with my family. He put it in the burgers, but they almost got cooked by mistake. So in the end, he had to abort his plan. Sue was still happy though and said yes, of course.

I was really excited anyway. This meant Sue would officially become my Nanna Sue. I still call her Nanna Sue, but this meant it would be absolutely official. Anyway, it wasn't until recently my grandfather was able to use up his vacation days for them to celebrate the engagement. They haven't seen us since we got back from Brazil, which also means they have no idea Momma is pregnant.

"Come on. Let's go trick or treating. We'll go to some of the homes around here, but end it off at Emily's. She's throwing a huge Halloween party," Jacob explained to us.

"Ya!" all of us kids cheered.

"Hey! Don't forget us!" Quil exclaimed, coming forward with Claire Young. Claire was dressed in a ladybug costume. The moment she saw me she grinned. Her sister was also here with Leah. She was dressed like a bumble bee.

"Nessie!" Claire exclaimed, rushing over.

"Hey Claire!" I greet her. "I love your costume!"

"And I love yours!" She told me, smiling. "It's very spooky."

"Thank you," I said, blushing.

Claire and I are friends, even though I'm growing up faster than her. We tend to hang out when Quil and Jacob hang out. Since we're both the two youngest imprints, we've bonded with each other. Plus, it's kind of nice to have a friend here at La Push. Her parents just moved here to be closer to Emily since she's permanently moved here because she married Sam. This also allowed Quil to see her more often.

"Emily's still decorating the place with Sam. I'm on little kid duty," Leah explained as she came over. Leah seemed to have lighten up over the years. I remember her being a lot more grouchy when I was smaller, but I think she's trying to move on with stuff in her life. That's how Jake put it. She's been taking classes at the nearby community college.

"Well goody. We're going to have a ton of fun, right kids?" Seth proclaimed, causing us to all cheer in excitement.

It ended up being really fun. We went door to door on the rez. Mr. Billy gave us a lollipops and Quil's grandpa got us a bunch of chocolate. A bunch of the wolves' Mommies and Daddies also gave us candy. My little pumpkin bucket was filled to the tippy top with candy by the end of our trick or treating.

When we were done, Jacob carried me on his back all the way to Emily's. When we got there, the whole pack was waiting for us. Leah greeted Emily with a small smile. I think the two started to mend their relationship again. I know there was some sort of fight going on between Leah, Emily, and Sam before I was born. I think Leah was upset that Sam choose Emily over her or something like that. Or maybe it has to do with imprinting.

I know Jacob imprinted on me as a baby, but I just think it means we have a special connection. All I've ever seen Jacob as is my brother and my best friend. He's been whatever I wanted him to be. When I am sad and need a friend, he's there for me. Sometimes I do feel like I have this strange pull to Jacob that I can't explain. It's weird, but whatever. I just like having my Jakey around.

We were all having a good time. There was a ton of laughing and fun. Claire, her sister, Lily, Aidan, and I played a bunch of games. Seth entertained us with some spooky stories he made up. It was a really fun party.

"Emily and I have news," Sam announced, grinning as Emily came over into his arms. We were all now in their dinning room listening to what they have to say.

"I'm pregnant. We're going to have a baby!" Emily exclaimed excitedly.

"Congrats!" Everyone burst into a fit of happiness, going to congratulate the couple for their news. That's really great. I'm sure Emily will be a great mommy.

I kept playing after that. Claire and her sister went home after a bit because they got pretty tired. I was too. Lily and Aidan at this point were out cold and I could feel sleep taking over me soon. Next thing I knew, I was asleep cuddled in Jacob's arms. I could tell I was getting carried to the cottage by the looks of my surroundings, but I was took tired to care. I then felt his warm arms get replaced by the cold ones of my daddy.

"Night, Ness," Jake whispered to me before kissing the top of my head.

"Nighty Night, Jake," I yawned as I snuggled into my daddy's arms, falling fast asleep. Today was really fun.
