Annndddd I'm finally back! My exams are officially over, my summer has started!
So much has happened since I last updated. Ever since I heard the news about Nina Dobrev's departure from the show, I've been in a state of denial! I couldn't believe that DELENA, the biggest reason I watch the show, is over. My heart was shattered in the season finale. But anyways, I will "honour" them on fanfiction.

Elena's mouth dried. Her breath caught in her throat and her face paled. For moments, she could not command her legs or her arms to move. By the time she did, his hand was already darting out, keeping the door shut.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," He warned when she made a move to escape.
"Please," Elena begged, "Leave."
He eyed her from head to toe. "You look different. Probably because the last time I saw you, your skirt was no lower than a belt."
He then turned to examine the surroundings, his gaze falling on the statues and paintings that filled the room. "Sister Elena," He mocked her, his blue eyes piercing. "Have you told the good old nuns that you've fucked more men in these past few months than the average whore in a year?"
"Have you got no respect for anyone?" Elena whispered. "This…This is a convent."
At that, he let out a laugh that made Elena shiver, and ran a hand through his blonde hair. "You've become quite the saint, I see. Well, that is about to change."
He began to circle her like a predator stalking its prey, before finally placing his hands on her shoulders. He leaned in, close to her ear, and whispered, "I've been through hell to be able to find you. Now, I've got you, and I'm not letting you out of my sight."
"Please," She begged, despair settling in her voice. "I've suffered enough."
"You're a Guardian. You were never meant to live this long. He was supposed to destroy you a long time ago."
"Then why don't you just kill me?" She pleaded, "Why toy with me? Why didn't you just kill me, from the very beginning?"
He laughed harder. "Sweet Elena. You don't know what it's like, suffering a horrible fate under the hands of Guardians, to lust after your blood and your bodies…" He pressed himself closer to her. "I have to say, the idea of toying with Guardians has always been…appealing to vampires. You know, as revenge," He whispered, stroking her hair. "The feeling is almost orgasmic. It was never about the actual kill, it was more about the idea of you monsters suffering."
He sighed and let go of her. "Now, will you be a good girl and come with me?"
"Come with you where?" She asked desperately, her eyes sparkling with tears.
He flashed to her, pinning her to the wall. His hands squeezed her cheeks so hard that she was sure that they would bruise. "You do not get to ask questions."
"Elle?"
Elena turned around to see Sister Eve, one of the oldest and kindest nuns that lived in the convent. Even though Elena hadn't spoken to her a lot, she knew that the nun loved the children there immensely. A wave of horrifying realization washed over her, and quickly, she turned around to face the monster, whose eyes were almost dark with evil. Before Elena had a chance to scream, he flashed behind the nun, his hands locked around her throat.
"What is it going to be, Elena?" He asked her with a smile that made the girl's blood run cold. "Are you going to let one of God's servants die because of your stubbornness?"
Elena's eyes locked with the nun's, and she could see the monster's hands applying pressure until the poor woman was struggling to breathe. She couldn't allow him to kill an innocent person, not if she could help it.
"Stop," She screamed, a tear escaping her eye. "I'll do anything you want, just let her go. You don't have to hurt her."
"Wise choice," He smiled, letting the woman go. Elena breathed out a sigh of relief, but the man's eyes turned menacing again, and without warning, he swung his arm out, violently snapping Sister Eve's neck. Elena screamed in horror, sinking to her knees.
"That's for making me ask twice," He smirked sickly, touching the woman's face with his foot.
"W-Why?" Elena pleaded. "I told you that I was going to come with you. You didn't have to kill her."
"Oh, Elena, but I did…" He knelt down in front of her and caressed her hair. "You have to understand that I always get what I want, and I don't like people who disobey me. In fact, you should feel lucky that I didn't go for a killing spree right here in the convent. This nun's blood is on your hands…you should've come with me the second I told you to."
He cleared his throat and offered her his hand. "Now, Elena, are you coming with me?"
Elena looked at his hand like it was a poisonous snake. However, she knew better than to say anything. She certainly didn't want to put the children's lives in danger.
"This…it's always been your fate, Elena," He told her when they found themselves outside. He settled himself behind her and swept her long hair aside, placing a kiss on her neck. "You were supposed to be mine. That was Damon's task, to bring you to me. You were supposed to be under my care."
His voice made Elena shudder.
"But it's okay, because I've got you now, and I'm not planning to give you up until I'm done with you. Now more than ever," He added. "You've managed to fight off the curse inside of you—your guardian nature. That amazes me."
"How do you know all of t-this?" Elena stammered.
"Let me put it this way, sweet Elena," He said. "I've been watching you for a very long time. Never interfering, always watching. It's been fun, but I had to remind myself that I need to get to you so that my work can begin. So, shall we?"
"You're a monster, Wes," Elena whispered. "You use people to your own advantage, including Damon."
"Damon's weak," Wes chuckled. "I should have known it from the very first night of your test. He was smitten with you. He couldn't bring himself to hurt you, even when I ordered him to." The man put his hands out in front of her face, and Elena gasped when she realised that he was blindfolding her. He tied a secure knot at the back of her head and moved to kiss her, hard, despite her protests.
"Shhh. You don't have to worry about anything. You're finally mine," He said. "My mission. My subject. Fascinating, isn't it?" He let out an evil laugh, almost that of a maniac.
"Fascinating indeed."
"What was the dream about?" Damon asked as soon as Kimberly returned.
Kim looked worried. "She kept saying that Elena is in danger, and that a bad man is out to get her. I couldn't get her to stop crying."
Damon's eyebrows furrowed. "Only a few days ago she was telling me that Elena's happy. I don't know what to think. Sometimes I get the scary feeling that these dreams of hers are not just dreams."
"Damon, Emily's been through a lot," Kimberly assured him. "She misses Elena. It's natural that she dreams about her. She is confused…maybe at times she sees the positivity she wishes for Elena, and at times she sees the bad things she knows that Elena might face someday. Emily's a smart girl. She knows that Elena is not safe despite the wish for her to be."
"Can you take care of her for me?" Damon asked her. "With my condition, I'm afraid to get close."
"Of course I will. But you have nothing to worry about. They are just dreams, Damon. Just a conflict between what she wants for Elena and the harsh truth she might be facing. You'll see."
"I hope so," He sighed. "Sometimes I feel hopeless. Sometimes I even wonder if it would've been better to have given her up for adoption."
"Why do you say that?"
"Look at me, Kim. I'm not fit to be a parent. Emily needs a stable environment. She's supposed to be with her sister. I have no idea how to be a parent because my only child was taken away from me before I could even learn anything. I just hope that I'm not worsening her situation."
"You're not. You would've worsened it if you had given her up, but you didn't," Kimberly assured him. "Thanks to you, Emily is safe. She has a roof over her head, and even though you say that you are not fit to be a parent, you're nothing except sweet and gentle with her. You're a good man, Damon. I hope that one day, you'll realise that."
"Thank you for what you're doing. She needs the female influence."
"Anytime," She smiled gently, chewing on her bottom lip. "How are you feeling?"
"Not too bad," He admitted, trying to seek a more comfortable position on the couch.
Kimberly sat next to him, not knowing what to say. "Damon?"
"Yes?"
"Can you tell me more about your past? About your family? I'd like to hear more about you."
"Well…" Damon smiled, "If you insist." He turned to face her. "I already told you that vampires cannot have children. We had to seek a lot of help, and let's face it, there aren't a lot of witches that would simply volunteer. Luckily, Katherine knew of a witch. Don't think she just simply helped us…we were under constant surveillance. They didn't want to help us until they were sure that we were fit to be parents."
"Obviously, you were," Kim said with a smile.
"Yes, we were," Damon confirmed. "Katherine got pregnant after a year. It took several attempts and strong magic, but when I heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time I forgot everything that we had been through. The pregnancy was difficult. Katherine was often sick, and sickness in a vampire is not natural. I helped her with everything I could, and tried to reassure her that everything was going to be fine. The nine months passed by peacefully, and when Katherine gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, I couldn't believe that someone out there found me worthy enough to be given a child. Kimberly was everything to me, and I spent every minute of every day with her. She…She was taken away from me too soon."
He felt his throat closing, but he knew that he couldn't let the girl see him cry. He held his tears back and cleared his throat. "Maybe it's because I was never fit to actually be a parent. The witches had warned us that vampires having children is something completely against nature. Maybe it was nature's way of telling me that I shouldn't have even bothered in the first place."
"That's not true," Kim said instantly. "What happened to you and your family had nothing to do with nature. Your baby and your wife were taken away from you because of a monster. You deserved the child, Damon."
"I'm not so sure about that," He sighed. "I try not to let myself think about it a lot. For decades I was overwhelmed by this anger inside of me. I enjoyed breaking little Guardians and Pre-Guardians. I enjoyed giving them to Wes, knowing well what he was doing to them. But then, I realised that some of these girls were innocent. They didn't even have the slightest chance of blossoming into monsters. That's what used to hurt me. I was doing Wes's dirty work when I wasn't even sure that the girls had some kind of Guardian heritage. I joined Wes to get rid of Guardians and Guardians-to-be, not human girls. In the end, it turned out that Wes was right, because Elena really did have Guardian heritage inside of her, but she managed to fight it off. Somehow she always does."
"She could have been a normal girl," Kim reminded him. "You were right not to harm her." She scooted closer to him and Damon put his arm around her.
"You see the good in me, Kimberly. I feel…connected to you." He kissed her head softly.
"I will help you get through this," She assured him. "I'll get Guardian blood. Maybe I can find Elena."
"No. Elena is finally free, free from me and from evil. I don't want to bring her back into my mess. We'll find some other way."
"Elena would want to help you."
"I know that. Which is why you mustn't ask her," He said selflessly. "Please. Promise me."
"Damon…"
"Please."
"I c-can't. I can't let you die."
"I won't. We'll find another way." His back straightened, and he carefully reached out for her. Kim's eyes were full of tears as she allowed him to touch her face, and then she felt his finger tugging her lip down.
"Damon, stop," She pleaded. "We can't. It's not right."
Damon watched her stand up, guilt infesting itself in his heart. He couldn't hurt Kimberly. She had been nothing but good to him. He couldn't use her as a replacement for Elena.
The problem was that for some strange reason, the girl was slowly making her way through his heart.
Elena had no idea where she was. All she knew was that Wes had forced her into a car, and that he was sitting next to her in the backseat because at times, she'd feel his hand snaking up her thigh, or his lips capturing hers.
When the car finally stopped, Elena's heart was pounding. Wes helped her out of the car, and with the blindfold still on, she nearly tripped over her two feet. She stood helplessly as he pulled her along.
The air seemed to feel cooler and Elena shivered, trying to force her eyes to see, but it was impossible. The cloth in front of her eyes was too thick.
Before Elena could even try to figure out what to do-maybe scream for help or try to catch someone's attention-her legs found themselves in a void space. She cried out in pain as she felt herself fall, certain that she had just rolled down the stairs. Her body collided with the hard floor, her head crashing against it.
In her semi-conscious state, she felt Wes take her blindfold off, and heard him chuckle when he saw her crumpled at the bottom of the stairs.
"Oops…I guess I forgot to tell you to step carefully," He grinned evilly. "Welcome home, Elena."
Yes, after a very long absence, Wes is back!
