Chapter 26

Annalease was nominated to answer the phone, everyone else was reluctant to answering it as they didn't quite know what to say they all knew that Annalease was a good speaker and knew how to handle situations maturley. She walked over to the phone and picked it up:

A- Hello?

S- Oh Annalease my beautiful girl, oh how I've missed your voice!

A- Mum! Omg are you okay?

S- Yes sweetheart, I'm on my way home. Where are my boys?

A- Everyone aside from Robbie are here, he stormed off earlier. But don't worry he'll be okay.

S- He told me he was going straight home! He came to persuade Fraser to let me come home and that was the last I saw of him.

A- What do you mean persudaded Fraser to let you come home? Where have you been living?

S- He has a house about 40 minuets away from here, Freddie has the address I think.

A- I came today! It's by a field right?

S- Yes, the house is at the top of the field, it's guarded by a man who owns a gun

A- I had a run in with him, I'll see you soom mum. Love you.

S- Tell me about it when I get home sweeteart. Bye for now, I love you too...

Annalease placed the phone back onto the latch and burst into tears, relief that Sandy was on her way home erupting inisde of her. Where was Robbie? She thought to herself which made her cry a little more, he was probably safe and well but she couldn't help but fear the worst especailly now he was most probably on the wrong side of Fraser. Everyone raised their eyebrows, Ziggy walked over to her and placed his arm around her pulling her into a side hug.

"Hey, hey it's okay. Mum's coming back now, What's wrong?" he said, kissing her head.

"I'm just relieved that she's coming home, I was close to finding her today and I failed. Also Rob told her he was gunna come home and he hasn't yet" Annalease sobbed.

"What? He knew where mum was" Jason asked looking slightly confused.

"It appears so yes, mum said he persudaded Fraser to let her come home" she added, she took a few deep breaths to try and calm herself down.

"Jase phome Rob would you? Lease sorry to be a nag but quickly go and tidy your room and the bathroom before mum gets back, we don't want her stressing about any mess do we?" Joe asked with a slight smile on his face. Annalease wiped her eyes and agreed to go and clean upstairs.

"Yeah sure, and you're right we would never hear the last of it" she laughed, smilling at everyone as she left the room and made her way upstairs. Once everything was clean she rejoined everyone dowstairs. As she sat down the doorbell rang, nobody knowing who should answer it they all decided to go. Joe opened the door, Sandy was standing on the door mat with her arms open wide.

Everyone rushed into Sandy's arms.

"Ah my babies" Sandy beamed as she held them all tightly. Annalease felt incredibly awful as she looked around and saw everyone but Robbie in their mum's embrace, he should have been there.

Once everyone had settled for the night, Annalease sneaked into Robbie and Jason's room.

"Jase" she whispered.

"What's up?" he asked as he sat up in bed.

"Did you hear anything from Rob?" she enquired, trying to keep her voice as low as possible.

"Uh yeah, he said he's gone to stay with some mates back down south for the weekened" he announced.

"That's strange, he usually tells me and lets me travel with him" Annalease said feeling a little gutted.

"Yeah, maybe he just wanted to go on his own this time, don't worry" Jason smiled.

"Yeah most probably, I bet I'm worrying over nothing as usual" Annalease laughed.

"Are you sure your middle name ain't worry" Jason added, an attempt to make her laugh again.

"Last time I checked it was May but I think it needs to be changed" she mock sighed, they both started laughing. Jason looked a little uneasy about something, he looked like he wanted to say something.

"Everything okay?" Annalease asked, she sat down on his bed knowing something was up.

"It's Holly, she's being off with me lately and I don't know why" he informed, sighing hard.

"Want me to go and talk to her tomorrow, I don't mind" Annalease offered with a smile.

"Would you?" Jason said with relief in his voice.

"Yeah of course I will, we get on quite well so I'm she wont mind me talking to her" she assured.

"I wish she would appreachiate the things that I do for her, there's just no pleasing her" he said shaking his head in disbelief.

"Maybe there's something going on at home? She's usually bubbly. Right get some sleep and I'll do my best to get her to tell me what's going on tomorrow. Night Jase" Annalease got up and made her way to the door.

"Night Lease" Jason said with a smile.

Once back in her room Annalease looked at her phone and found a text message from Robbie, she opened the message and read what came onto the screen:

Hi, I've gone back down south for the weekend. I had to do something very bad to allow Fraser to let mum come home, don't worry about me I'm okay. I know you're probably laying awake worrying about me, don't alright? I'll see ya when I get back. Love ya – R x

Annalease thought long and hard about the message, what had Robbie done? Now she knew he was okay she could get a decent night's sleep. She decided to reply to the message:

Hi, Alright I hope you're having an amazing time. Send my love to Kyle wont you, I hope you haven't done anything stupid. I was actually haha but I'm just glad you're okay. See you soon, love you too x

Annalease set her phone on her bedside table and went to sleep, she woke up the next morning and quickly got dressed. She had arranged to meet Holly in College Coffee later in the day she reassured Jason that she would sort it and him and Holly would be as stronger than ever before once she'd finished. Before Annalease knew it, it was time to go and meet Holly. She was slightly excited as Holly was one of her closest friends and they would often go out and have a good time together and today would be just the same most probably. As Annalease made her way through the village she had a small smile on her face, greeting everyone she bumped into with a simple good mornimg. Once at College Coffee she looked around for Holly and found her sat on the sofa with 2 hot chocolates in tow.

"Omg thanks Holly, you didn't have to buy me a drink honestly" Annalease beamed, Holly got up and gave her a hug.

"No problem, I wanted to, anyway how are you?" she asked, Annalease sat down beside her.

"I'm good thank you, you?" Annalease said with a smile.

"Yeah I'm good thanks, there is something though, have you noticed something up with Jase?" Holly questioned, Annalease smiled to herself at how cute this whole situation was, they both thought something was up with one another. She knew exactly how to sort this.

"Funnily enough Hol, he actually asked me the same question last night about you" she said with a smile.

"Really?" Holly enquired.

"Yep, I think you should go and talk to him, you're like the cutest couple ever, I ship you more than Katniss and Peeta in The Hunger Games" Annalease said with a smile.

"Once we're done in town I'll go and talk to him, Aw thanks they're a cute couple though" Holly said deep in thought about something.

"What are you staring into space about?" Annalease asked, laughing as Holly quicky came back down to earth.

"I'm just thinking how me and Jase could one day get married" she with a beaming smile on her face.

"Well if you want that to happen then you should go and get this sorted pronto, but one request please think about finishing school and uni first before you both get married off" Annalease added, she thought it was cute how much Holly loved Jason, she knew how much Jason loved Holly too.

"Of course, now let's head into town. Definitley want to buy a new top for mine and Jason's next date" Holly got up and clapped with excitement.

Annalease and Holly spent 3 hours in town shopping, they came back with bags and bags of new clothes. Holly quickly went home and dropped her many bags off, she changed into a lovely dress which she had bought and went home with Annalease. Once home Holly went up and surpirsed Jason, so much so they spent the rest of the day together. Annalease on the other hand went upstairs and read some books which she had bought while shopping, before she knew it the time was nearing 8:30pm so she went down for a bite to eat and a drink of water, she checked her phone for messages and found yet another message from Robbie but this time she had also received a missed call and a voice mail from him. She quickly finished her food, went up to her room and phoned him:

R- Alright Sis?

A- Hey, yeah good thanks, are you?

R- Yeah all good ta, I'm coming home tomorrow. But there's something I need to tell ya

A- Aw yay! We've all missed you. There is? What's up?

R- Ah you bunch of soppy gits, I guess I'm one too as I've missed ya! Fraser has me working for him, like all the stuff he made you do I've now gotta do.

A- What happens if you don't do what he says?

R- He said he'll come after mum and make sure we never see her again, he said he would come for you and Jase too and believe me I ain't risking nothing so I'm doing what he says.

A- Why us and not the others? Are you really down south?

R- He thinks you're both easy targets, don't worry I wont let anything happen to you I promise ya. Yeah I am, right I'll see you tomorrow yeah? I have a little surprise for you

A-Yeah see you tomorrow, Oooh have you, now I'm intriged.

R- I'm glad you are, bye Lease

A- Bye Rob

As soon as she was off the phone she ran downstairs to tell everyone that Robbie was coming home.

"Omg everyone! Rob's coming home tomorrow I've just got off of the phone with him" she beamed as she leapt on the sofa between Joe and Ziggy.

"Ah that's fantastic Sis, I knew there would be nothing to worry about" Ziggy said with a smile.

"Fraser has him under his wing now so we might not see him for a while soon" she sighed.

"Robbie's a tough lad, he'll know how to work things out. Things don't last forever afterall" Ziggy said with a reassuring smile.

"Yeah you're right, fancy a movie night then?" Annalease asked Joe, Lindsey, Freddie and Ziggy.

"Yeah why not! Ladies you can choose" Freddie said pointing to Lindsey and Annalease.

"Ooh we're honoured really" Lindsey laughed, both her and Annalease got up and chose a film between them.

After about 4 films everyone started to retreat to their rooms, around 11:30pm Holly came downstairs with a huge smile on her face, she walked into the living rom and went to give Annalease a hug.

"Thanks so much for today, you've done so much for us" Holly smiled

"No problem, you're both worth it I'm so happy for you" Annaleasse said, stepping out of the hug.

"I'm going to head home now, night everyone" Holly said shyly.

"Are you alright walking home on your own?" Annalease enquired.

"Dirk's meeting me at the end of the street, I'll be fine" she smiled.

"See you later then" Annalease said

"Bye everyone" Holly waved at everyone, everyone said bye to her and went upstairs.

Annalease went up soon after. She bumped into Jason on the landing he looked full of happiness.

"Thank you so much" Jason pulled Annalease into a tight hug.

"Aw it's okay, I'm glad you're both back on trach now" she said.

"Thanks, I'll see you in the morning" Jason kissed her cheek and went to his room.

Once ready for bed Annalease went and watched a bit of TV and then went to sleep.

Things were looking up slighty for her, she was very excited to find out what Robbie's surprise was, she said to herself the quicker she went to sleep then the quicker she would find out just what Robbie had got for her plus she couldn't wait to have her whole family back together again which was something that hadn't happened for a while..
