Jace's POV
I stare awestruck at the mangled, bloody girl who was my Clary. She looked tired, angry, annoyed, distraught...like an avenging angel.
I stared, starstruck, just like Isabelle and Simon, with Alec, too.
She was lithe, like a poised lioness that had a mission and one mission only. To kill. She slaughtered everyone in her way as we followed her out of the reeking castle. Somehow, she knew her way around this place.
When we reached the outside, I could really kiss the ground. But of course, I didn't because from then on, I didn't really care that things were going to be alright. I only cared that my family was here and finally alive. Together. As a unit.
We lost so many people along the way. Whether it was Max, my little brother, or someone evil like Sebastian. It doesn't matter, because to me, the most important part of me was alive. And that was Clary. She was my everything, my heart, my soul, my life. I couldn't be more happier that she was mine...and she was here to stay. I promise with my life and soul that she would be the luckiest girl alive if she was with me. I would wake up and tell her all the little things that make her special and everything that makes her unique and strong. It didn't matter that we won that short battle. It didn't matter that we finally had a bit a peace. It mattered to me that we were all together. Family.
Epilogue ~
The snow fell gently on the windowsill of the New York Institute. Two children ran in and out of the rooms playing tag as their parents slept in their master bedroom. The boy had a beautiful full head of blond curls and matching green eyes, while the girl had fiery red hair and golden eyes. They were born a year from each other, with the boy being born first. They played together, the brother being more protective of his sister. They both had more angel blood and they looked like little angels, too. However they could be little devils as well, when they burst into their parents room, jumping up and down.
"MOMMY! DADDY! WAKE UP!" They both screamed.
Jace rolled over on the bed, to have his son trip and fall on his chest.
"Whoa...easy there, kiddo... Don't bruise up your mom jumping like that."
"MOMMY WAKE UP!" Jace heard with a screech as his daughter was also shaking her mother.
Jace laughed. These two were little tornados, like a cyclone, never getting tired and was hard to keep up with.
Clary woke up to screaming and someone jumping up and down, shaking the bed.
"What's going on?" She said, sleepily.
Jace laughed. Even at twenty-eight and giving birth to two kids, she still had that innocent look from her sixteen year old years.
"Mornin' babe." Jace said, chuckling, as he tickled his daughter.
Clary groaned and covered her face with a pillow. "I need peace and quiet, Jace, too. Can you please take them out to play or something?"
"MOMMY WE WANT YOU TOO!" The siblings screamed, but stopped when their dad admonished them.
"Both of you, quiet down. Your mom's tired so let her sleep for a bit, ok?"
Jace said, getting up.
"Ok..." They said with hushed whispers.
Clary smiled into her pillow. When she first got pregnant, Jace had been worried that he was going to be a terrible father, but after the moment she delivered, Elijah, he became the best father he could be and was even better when Everly was born. Now he totally spoils the kids and it's up to Clary to remind him to not to.
Clary stretched and went to shower. It was nearing Christmas and Clary had planned to take the kids to Times Square for Christmas shopping. Of course, they couldn't go without Simon and Isabelle. It turned out that Isabelle loved kids more than Clary did. Once Si and Izzy got married, they immediately found out that she was pregnant and then proceeded to have 3 more kids, Grant, Alexandra, Peter, and Desiree. They were a handful of course, all a year between each other, keeping Simon and Isabelle all on their toes.
Elijah was the same age as Grant, as Alexandra is the same age as Eveley. Both were the best of friends and they would always stick by each other.
Clary rushed downstairs, dressed up her kids with Jace and went to meet up with Isabelle and Simon along with their little tikes. Isabelle and Simon also brought along Magnus and Alec, and Maia with Bat. Magnus and Alec had adopted two kids, both siblings, Alisha and Damon. They were very talented in messing up Magnus's glitter hair and clothing as well. Maia and Bat had just married with Maia a few months pregnant.
Everyone was so happy and together. They now had the lives they wanted and nothing can ever stop them from being happy. Together they were stronger and a bond formed that no one could break. Happiness and laughter filled the air as they walk off into their future.
Well...as sad as it is...I decided to end it here. I apologize for the very short battle scene but it just felt blank. I didn't have much interest left in this since i started this like 3 years ago. Along with that, I hope that people really enjoyed this fanfiction since I started this when was very mediocre at writing. I would personally like to put out a special thanks to my friend, MsJaceHerondale, who helped me throughout this fanfic. I couldn't have finished without your help. Thank you! Also, thanks to all the people who liked this story and review it. It means a lot, not just for me but for all writers because we all need encouragement. Thank you all so much for your support and I will be writing a new fanfiction about a specific character's wedding. Please stay tuned to read it and thank you again. Love you all.
Best of hopes
