I finally updated haha! sorry for the wait, I was busy writing and updating She stopped running away :]
After 3 weeks of planning, the engagement party was finally a few days away. I was getting more and more nervous as the days passed. After the announcement was made it'd be official, We'd have to go pick out rings and It just doesn't feel right. these past 3 weeks I've spent living in the guest house has made me see him in a different light, Don't get me wrong I love Ryder! But sneaking around with Ryder is getting harder. Nate is a really nice guy and I feel like a total dingus doing this to him.
I sighed as I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee.
"What you thinking about J?"
I looked up just as Jayden walked into the guest house shutting the door behind him.
"What aren't I thinking about" I said taking a sip.
"True, Try not to stress yourself out to much though" He smiled walking over to me and squeezing me into a tight hug.
"Don't worry, I'll survive"
"Okay. By the way, Where is everybody? How come you're the only one home?"Jayden asked swiping the coffee mug from Jade and pouring the coffee down the sink.
"Hey! I was going to drink that you know!" I groaned.
"Yeah well, you drink way too much coffee. Now where is everybody?"
I rolled my eyes "Mom and Damon are out shopping, Nate flew out to NY two days ago to meet with his parents and I could care less where dad is" she said hopping onto the counter.
"And Ryder? Cat?" Jayden asked leaning on the counter next to me.
"He's covering his friends shift and Cat's out with Robbie"
"Wanna go watch a movie?" He asked since Jade seemed to have nothing to do.
"I'd love to but I have to go pick up Nate at the airport in like half an hour"
"Raincheck?" he chuckled.
"Please?"
"I'll text ya later than squirt!" Jayden said walking towards the door.
"You're only 3 years older than me!" I yelled as he slammed the door shut. How Rude I thought hopping off the counter and pouring myself another cup of coffee, sighing happily as i took a sip.
After I finished my cup i went upstairs and changed into a black v- neck and jeans and slipped on my boots before swiping my keys off the table and locking the door on my way out. i jumped into my car and drove off to the airport to go pick up Nate.

"What the hell is taking him so long?" i mumbled to myself as i waited for Nate at the gate, It seemed like everyone else but him had made it off the plane and it was starting to piss me off.
"Jade?"
My head whipped around to see Nate walking towards me from the opposite direction.
"Wrong Gate, Sorry" He laughed nervously, slightly adjusting the strap of his duffel bag.
"Are you kidding me? I stood here like an idiot for like 20 minutes!" I said folding my arms across my chest as a display of my annoyance.
"I know, I'm sorry I got the number mixed up" He apologized again but Jade seemed Unphased. "I'll make it up to you, I promise" He said lifting his hand as if he were swearing an oath.
"Keep talking" I said studying him carefully.
"I'll buy you Dinner?"
"Okay, Let's go" I said walking away towards the parking lot and Nate smiled before running after me to catch up.
After stuffing his bag into the trunk Nate buckled into the passenger seat as I started up the car.
"You like raw fish?" I asked pulling out of the parking space.
"Like sushi? I guess"
"Great, we're going to Nozu for Dinner!"
"Nozu?"
"You'll like it trust me" I smiled and within minutes I had pulled up in front of Nozu and parked my car.
"Get out, we're here!" I said slamming my door shut as Nate nodded and did the same. After I beeped my car alarm on we made our way inside and took a seat at a table for two and soon enough the owner walked over to the table to take our order.
"Jade West, how you been?"
"Peachy"
"Are you going to sing tonight?" the women asked with a smile.
"Not really" I replied as Nate scanned through the menu.
"Oh, how's the boy with the fluffy hair?" Not aware that she'd broken up with that fluffy haired boy.
"He died, Can I get a spider roll?"
"… Okay, sure"
"I'll have the same" Nate said hoping the women would take their order and go.
"Did he really die? He was so handsome"
"Yes! Now go and get our spider rolls!" I almost yelled annoyed that the women kept asking me about Beck. She simply nodded and walked away.
"What was that about?" Nate asked confused as to who was this fluffy haired boy and why it annoyed Jade so much to hear about him.
"Can we talk about something else?" I said looking down at the menu.
"Umm, okay. Sure" Nate cleared his throat "So my parents are coming down this weekend"
"Oh yeah, how'd that go?"
"Good I guess, My mom spent the entire time dragging my sister and I shopping with her"
"What for?" I asked just as the women came back with their food. Nate nodded thanking the women and I rolled her eyes.
"She's looking for a dress for Ellie's cotillion"
"Vomit" I replied taking a bite of my spider roll.
"I know, it was torture!" he laughed.
"I bet, so that's all you did. Shopping?"
"Pretty much, Mmm, That reminds me I brought you something" Nate said putting down his chopsticks and looking inside his coat.
"You did? what is it?" Please don't let it be jewelry, I thought as Nate pulled out squared box wrapped in wine red paper, and handed it to me.
"I remembered you told me The Scissoring was your favorite movie" He smiled as I unwrapped the box.
"How did you get this?" i asked happy to see it wasn't jewelry but an autographed copy of the movie soundtrack.
"My mom knows a lot of people back home" I narrowed her eye's as Nate continued to stuff his face with sushi.
"How do I know this is real?"
"I have proof" He said sliding his phone out of his front pocket and looking through it.
"Well?"
"Here" He handed me the phone which displayed a picture of the director autographing the cd.
"Wow, I can't believe he really signed it. This is amazing! Thanks" I smiled looking down at my newest addition to my Scissoring collection.
"No problem, well should we get going?" he said drinking the last of his green tea.
"Okay"
"I'll be back, I'm going to go pay" I nodded as he walked off. I wasn't sure if it was actually getting cold outside or if the ac in the restaurant was turned on but I suddenly felt really cold. I hugged myself to keep from shivering.
"Are you cold?" I looked up and saw Nate standing in front of me with a receipt in his hand.
"A little, I think it's the ac though"
Nate shoved the receipt in his back pocket and shook off his coat. "Here" He said draping it over my shoulders.
"Are you sure? This feels weird"
"it's fine" He chuckled as I stood up and he zipped it up for me.
"Well aren't you two just adorable"
Both Jade and Nate turned to see Tori standing 3 feet away from them. Great.
"Fuck off!" I said rubbing my temples, I seriously did not have the time or patience for this shit.
"Hey Nate" she said batting her lashes at him. Skank.
"Hey topi" Nate smiled.
"It's Tori" She glared.
"Yeah, well …" He said sounding uninterested.
"Hey babe I ordered our foo-" Beck stopped as soon as he saw us.
"Fucking awesome!" I groaned.
"What do we have here?" Beck asked looking Nate up and down.
"Beck meet Jade's fiancee, Nate" Tori smirked as beck's facial expression changed from shocked to amused.
"Fiancee?" Beck laughed and I swear I never wanted to punch him more.
"Who are you?" Nate asked.
"Beck Oliver" he said stretching his arm out to shake Nate's hand.
"Don't shake his hand!" I said and Nate nodded.
"What happened to your MAN friend? Didn't stick around much did he?"
"I'm sorry is there a problem here?" Nate asked glancing over at Beck.
"I don't know is there?" Beck responded taking a step closer.
"Beck baby, Don't get all worked up it's not worth it" Tori cleared her throat "She's not worth it" She finished giving me a disgusted look.
"Yeah I guess you're right" Beck agreed placing a hand on the small of her back as I rolled my eyes.
"Fuck you!" I yelled annoyed.
"You'd like that wouldn't you" She covered her mouth and fake coughed "Slut"
"Oh go sit on a knife!" I replied taking hold of Nate's hand. "Let's go" Nate nodded and allowed me to drag him out into the parking lot, leaving Beck and Tori behind. Nate didn't say anything until after we got home. "here" I looked up and saw Nate handing me a mug filled with the most sweet smelling coffee I've ever smelled.
"Thanks" I nodded as he took a seat next to me on the couch.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.
"Not really" He nodded and I sighed "Look I know you want to know what happened back there and I swear I'll tell you but ugh! I'm just so fucking annoyed and pissed that I just want to cut everything up with my scissors!" Nate laughed.
"I get it, really it's fine. So I need to go to run a few errands, you okay staying here alone?" He asked getting up from the couch.
"I think I can manage" I said running a hand through my hair.
"Okay, I'll see you later" I nodded throwing him my car keys which he caught in one swift motion before walking out and closing the door behind him.
I pulled out my phone and texted Ryder to come over, By the time I had finished the coffee and washed the mug there was a knock on my door. I dried my hands and walked across the room and opened the door. Ryder stood there in his blue Jetbrew collared shirt and Black Jeans, I instantly wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him in and hugged him. He kicked the door shut and squeezed me against him, hands resting on the small of my back.
"I know I'm attractive and all but why are you so excited to see me?" Ryder asked pulling away but keeping his hands on my back.
I sighed " I ran into Beck and Tori today and they pissed me off so I need you to distract me so I don't slaughter them" I smiled resting my hands on his chest.
"You did? What happened, Did Beck try something?"
"I'll tell you later, now distract me" I said leaning up an kissing him softly.
"Is this a new coat? it fits big on you" Ryder said unzipping it.
"No, it's Nates" I said shaking it off.
Ryder gave me a look and I rolled my eyes.
"Just kiss me" I said grabbing his collar and pulling him down, crashing my lips to his. Now this was a distraction!
