"What are you doing here?" Bruce asked as Bucky calmed himself down.

"I came for him" Bucky looked over at Steve's body lying on the ground.

"I'm sorry you couldn't get to him in time" Bruce sympathised. "What did you need him for?" the boy asked curiously.

"Memories" Bucky sighed and made his way towards the window.

"Where are you going?" Bruce followed him to the window.

"I don't know" Bucky grabbed the ledge of the window.

"Please don't leave" Bruce pleaded and grabbed Bucky's sleeve. "Please on the other side of that door there are millions of robots and a guy with a Red Skull."

Bucky's head ached, his vision blurred, and a flashback came. Captain America was stood beside him staring at a man dressed in a long black leather coat, that was moving gradually further away from him, whilst a fire roared beneath them. "No matter what lies Erskine told you. You see I was his greatest success," the male said in a distinctive German accent. The German started to peel his skin off his face, leaving behind a disgusting Red skull.

He then heard himself say, "You don't have one of those, do you?"

Bruce's voice could be heard and Bucky resumed back to the real world. "Bucky are you okay?"

Bucky looked at the worried before nodding "I'll stay."

"How are we going to protect ourselves?" Clint asked the team after hearing the scraping of the robots on the other side of the door.

"I will protect you," Bucky volunteered.

"With what exactly" Clint folded his arms the man.

Bucky sighed and took off his jacket, showing his metal arm to the children. Natasha's face struck with fear "you're the Winter Soldier."

Bucky looked at the young girl "Not anymore" He looked at Natasha before pointing his finger at her "It's you. The woman with Steve. Do you know my memories." She shook her head, gripped Clint's hand, and hid behind him a little.

A slight groaning sound could be heard in the room. They turned to Steve's body to find it had grown several feet. "Oh my God" Clint remarked before running over to Steve with the children.

Steve coughed before sitting up and removing the jacket from his face. The children stared at Steve now a grown man. He was far more muscular than his 13- year old self and his hair was slightly messy however he still had the bright blue eyes. Steve looked down at his hands for a moment before giving a sigh of relief. The super soldier adjusted his costume that now fit him perfectly and stood up, towering the children. They looked up at the once small, skinny child and smiled "How do you feel?" asked Natasha.

"Taller" he simply replied. He then noticed another person amongst the children "Bucky" he smiled.

"It's you" Bucky said staring at Captain America.

"Yeah what are you doing here?" Steve asked surprised.

"Memories" Bucky sighed.

"Okay and I can help you with that but first we need to help the team." He turned to Bruce "You watched Tony test the machine, do you think you can work it?" Bruce nodded. "Great so here is the plan: Me and Bucky are going to fight the robots whilst you guys get to the elevator and you guys are going to go straight to Tony's workshop. Thor is going to use his lightning on the machine, in which Bruce is going to control and you guys are going to become adults again. Got it?" Steve instructed.

"But what if I hurt someone again?" Thor worried.

"You won't Thor, I promise." Thor hesitated before nodding and picking up Mjolnir. "Okay Bruce can you get the uniform and Clint and Natasha grab your weapons."

The children did as Steve instructed and they positioned themselves behind Steve and Bucky who were stood in front of the door. Steve picked up his shield and attached it to his arm "Ready?" He asked everyone.

"Yeah" they all said.

Steve pressed his hand onto the door and turned to Bucky "Together?"

"Together" he simply replied.

Sorry if this chapter is a little confusing but YAY Steve is alive and an adult :)

I know this chapter is really short but I thought it was a good place to stop.
