A/N: X-Men is coming back to the big screen! And Anna is coming back as Rogue! Oh hell yes! I am so excited I could pee my pants! Sorry… So I decided to give this a go without a beta…yeah, scary, I know.

It can tear you up inside, make your heart believe a lie…

Scott rolled his eyes while Rogue crossed her arms and shyly looked away.

"Gambit couldn't help but notice you two having a moment, no? Will dis be a repeat of previous events, ma chérie?" He smirked and took a few steps towards Rogue, gently grabbing her hand then placing a quick light kiss on the cool silky fabric of her glove, never breaking eye contact, "If so, Gambit would like to buy a ticket and perhaps later on, a private show?" He shot her a quick wink.

Scott stepped in between the pair and roughly place a hand on Remy's chest. It took all the strength he had to calm down and not punch the shit out of this guy, "Remy, isn't it? Or do you prefer Gambit?"

Gambit nodded, somewhat ignoring the teacher while leering at Rogue over Scott's shoulder.

Rogue snapped out of her shocked state, promptly pulling her hand away as Gambit undressed her with his eyes.

"Hey!" Scott grabbed the student by the chin and steered his line of vision to his.

"Stop being a pervert! It's upsetting Marie and really pissing me off. Considering the number of complaints we've had, since you've enrolled in this school two days ago, it's safe to say the ladies don't respond too well to your tactics. And you most certainly will not speak or look at Marie the way you just did. Or I'll personally keep you every day after classes for detention, so long as you're here. I bet the female students and faculty would appreciate that."

Gambit snorted and stepped back, calling his bluff, "No need to be so harsh Monsieur Summers. It's funny you say dat, the ladies I've come in contact with have shared nothing but compliments with Gambit. At least, dat's how I interpret sounds of pleasure. Besides, Gambit can't help but notice a beautiful woman wanting to be noticed, no?" Gambit was a charmer, not some pathetic creep.

Scott shook his head in annoyance, "Just go to class Gambit."

Rogue reached out for Scott's shoulder, "Come on Scott, he's just getting a rise out of you and you know we shouldn't keep the Professor waiting. You know how he worries." Scott was tempted to throw down his visors, but he gritted his teeth and walked away, letting Rogue guide him from behind.

Gambit enjoyed the view for a couple of seconds, catching Rogue's eye as she stole a quick look behind her. Satisfied, he turned away. 'Women love me.'

"So, you like what you see ass hole?" Wolverine slipped his claws out, less than in inch away from underneath Gambit's chin.

Gambit didn't make any quick attempts to move away, that would only indicate he was afraid. There was no way he would let this brute intimidate him. "Gambit heard you enjoy hitting on students, is dat right Monsieur Logan? First Rogue, Bobby and now Gambit."

"Funny, very funny, wise ass." Logan retracted his claws then grabbed Gambit by the collar, "Well, you listen here you little shit, and you listen good. I don't have time to throw down with you right now, so just keep away from Rogue or I'll-"

"Or you'll what? Threaten to kill Gambit? Beat Gambit to a bloody pulp? Keep Gambit in detention? You faculty are all da same." Gambit narrowed his eyes at Wolverine.

"Yea, something like that french fry."

Gambit rolled his eyes, "And what would the Professor do, huh Monsieur? Gambit sure he heard you were on thin ice already. Wouldn't want to further test his patience now, would you Monsieur Logan?"

Logan's top lip flinched. The thieving bastard was right, he couldn't get on the Professor's bad side again, but since when had that stopped him? "If you think you can keep safe behind Chuck, your sorry ass will be very disappointed. Stay away from Rogue or else." He released his grip from Gambit, pushed him down and walked off. 'Shit, Rogue must be giving off some kind of pheromone. I mean she's hot, but there are other women within the walls of this building.'

"Whatever you say, grand-père."

Logan stopped in his tracks, slightly turning his head to the side. "What the hell did you just call me?"

"Tsk-tsk-tsk! Turn dat dial down to simmer, Monsieur Logan. Gambit just calling you wise, maître d'école." Gambit stood up, dusted his pants off as he glared at the teacher's back.

"I suggest you run to class now boy. Don't want to miss chasing the little girls at recess." He continued to his destination, pumping his fists at his side, 'Gotta keep it together. At least for now.'

Gambit flipped his middle finger before he fixed the collar on his shirt. "Gambit has a good feeling about dis school." He smirked and sauntered off to class.

"Take a seat Logan." Professor Xavier gestured to the empty chair in front of his desk, next to Rogue.

"Well, isn't this exciting?" Logan sat down and kicked out his legs while he leaned back in the uncomfortable piece of furniture Xavier called a chair. "Didn't sit next to Rogue? Not hitting on my girl, for once, huh Scott?"

The Professor placed a hand on the side of his head, "So help me Logan, can you at least make an attempt to hold a civil conversation, despite your differences with one another?"

An agitated Rogue flicked at Logan's ear. He sighed and crossed his arms over his chest.

Scott ignored Logan's remarks and continued to stand and stare out the window behind the Professor, "It's alright Professor. I've asked Beast to cover for me, and Kurt was able to take over for Logan, so that's taken care of."

"Thank you Scott, now then, Rogue..." The Professor genuinely smiled and clasped his hands together.

"Professor, I am so sorry for what happened-", Rogue shook her head in embarrassment, "but I-"

"I'm not, but I am sorry that we didn't make our way out of the kitchen." Logan smirked at Rogue. Her lips tightened in frustration and her cheeks turned rosy. She flashed a look of concern at Scott. He cringed at Logan's cutting words. He crossed his arms and kept his back towards everyone.

"Look, I'm not good with all of this, you know, stuff? Talking, sharing emotions and what not. Could we just get punished and move on?" Logan stood up from his seat and zipped up the jacket of his sweatsuit, offering his hand to Rogue. She looked up at him with a puzzled expression. "Seriously?"

Professor Xavier was at a loss for words, "Logan, I didn't bring you all in here to punish you. I asked you here because of what is occurring with Rogue." His brow furrowed as he looked from Scott to Rogue and then Logan.

Logan gave a confused look, "Hey, no mind reading crap Chuck. If this is about Rogue, then why is Scotty here?"

Scott then turned towards the group, making his way around the Professor's desk. "Well, I'm sure you've heard Professor. Obviously, from what so many of us witnessed, Rogue's powers temporarily shut down. And for some unknown reason, she then chose to wrap her legs around that." his finger pointed at Logan.

"Now, now Scott!" The Professor knew exactly where this would head.

"Yeah, well, if Jean hadn't felt so guilty, she would have kept wrapping her legs around me instead of a skinny ass pansy!" Logan clutched Scott by his collar and raised his fist. Scott quickly threw his hand up to his glasses.

Rogue popped out of her seat, "Excuse me-oh shit!" she used all her might, mentally conjured up the rest of Logan's strength she possessed, as she tugged his sweatshirt towards her. They tumbled to the ground just as Scott's laser shot through the empty chair.

"You two are impossible! Just when I thought it couldn't possibly go any further!" The Professor was enraged, but he looked everyone over to make sure they were alright.

Rogue's eyes were wide in amazement, while Logan had had enough and stood up to stomp out what was left of the burning chair and carpet. "Can't take that you're never first choice, can you Summers?" Scott raised his fist as Logan snorted in satisfaction.

Slowly, Scott unfolded his fist, "I-I'm sorry Logan, I'm so sorry!" he grabbed Logan into a bear hug and wouldn't let go.

Rogue's expression was priceless as her jaw fell open in disbelief.

"Hey! Get off me, you-…it's, it's okay Scott. I love you man." Logan hugged Scott back and leaned his head into his shoulder. "I will never hurt you again brother, I love you so much! I'm sorry I'm so mean!" Tears started to fall from his eyes.

Realization set in as Rogue studied Professor's Xavier face, which grinned from ear to ear. "Professor, have I mentioned how much I admire you?"

"Oh, Logan! Why do we have to fight so much, my friend?" Scott had tears running down his face as well.

Professor spoke loudly over the sobs, "If neither one of them behaves, or at the least, fails to act civil around one another, I could permanently make them gush with love for each other. I am sure they will do what is right. However, given Logan's streak so far, at least I hope he controls himself, for now. They are very lucky to be such a value to our team," he sighed and rolled over to survey the damage done to his floor. "Dammit, I'll have this cleaned up. Poor Antonio is going to have a hell of a time with that floor. Now Rogue, will you please accompany me to the med lab? Dr. McCoy is waiting for us."

Rogue looked over at the current bro-mance questioningly, "But what about them? I'd really like to give Logan a piece of my mind. Could you make him punch himself a few times? Or get Scott to?"

Professor Xavier smiled genuinely, "You do make me chuckle Rogue. Come on dear, Dr. McCoy is waiting."

Rogue bent down to pick up a small glass frame, "Alright, just gonna put this back for you real quick...wait...Professor, is this you?"

He glanced at the picture, he was in his early twenties with a head full of dark hair and a mischievous smile plastered onto his face, "Oh yes, well, that was many moons ago my dear."

"Dang, you were super hot!" She sheepishly grinned, setting the picture back on his desk. "Sorry Professor, that was kind of inappropriate..." Logan and Scott continued to hug one another, crying and confessing their love. It was getting kind of creepy.

He gestured her towards the door, "Don't fret my dear, that was very sweet of you." They continued their stroll into the hallway. "I was so young then and so different than I am now." He looked up at her, "Believe it or not, there were a few ladies in my life, back in the day."

Rogue laughed with him, almost forgetting Logan's stinging words concerning Jean, "Why Professor, you were quite the player!" She was a little shocked, but not completely. His picture portrayed a smug, handsome and sharp dressed young man posing beneath a dark umbrella. But it was his wink that gave him away, seeming seductive rather than friendly. She wondered who had taken his picture.

"Player?", he turned his eyes toward her.

"Ladies man?", she offered instead.

"Ha! My girl, commitment was a foreign word to me back then, if that is what you are suggesting. Player, the youth today." His smile thinned, "Although, there was one girl...at the time. I could not fathom being anything other than close friends, the best of friends. I loved her so much and she was always by my side, through thick and thin. Oh, but she was something else, trying to keep her proper was sometimes a bit of a struggle. And that's putting it lightly." He chuckled to himself.

"She was always by my side, for the better part of my youth. Then one very chaotic day, she was given an opportunity, which I myself, could never consider. It was her choice, one which would mean us parting ways."

Professor glanced around, clearing his throat, "Of course she was hesitant and willing to stick with me, no matter what. Just this once, I had to take a look, to see what exactly she truly desired. I was afraid. You see, she wanted more from me than I could offer at the time. Although, it would have been selfish of me to ask her to stay, I couldn't help but flirt with the idea. In the end, I knew it wouldn't be fair to her. To this day, I wonder if I made the right choice. If eventually I could have given her what she had hoped for. How different things could be..."

He took in a deep breath, fighting back tears and not daring to exhale until his emotions settled.

Rogue bit the corner of her lower lip as she stepped behind him and grabbed the handles of his chair to help guide him, as he struggled with his emotions. "I guess decisions can be difficult Professor."

He absently nodded in response, she thought it best to steer the conversation away from him. "I wonder if I'm making the right choice in choosing Logan. He is crass and I know I can never change that, but honestly, I don't trust him to stick around. Before Scott, I couldn't imagine being with anyone else but Logan. Even while I was with Bobby. But now, after hearing him just now..." She sighed, unable to continue.

The Professor carried on the conversation, "Rogue, you don't need to rush into any decisions. You are a beautiful and single young woman. Your power has created such a strength within you. I know you think of your ability as more of a condemnation, nevertheless, it takes a person with great fortitude to overcome the burden and continue each day as you have."

Rogue opened her mouth to argue, but Professor Xavier was too swift, "I know you had a moment of weakness, Rogue. We are all tested in our own ways. You might think me untruthful, still, I had a few moments of weakness as well." Her left brow raised in disbelief.

He continued, "I had but a moment to contemplate my predicament, given the severity of my situation. But you, you have much more than a moment's notice, my dear. Much more." She nodded as he reached his hand back to soothingly pat hers. "Now, I won't go playing favorites, but please do be extra careful with Scott."

Rogue sighed guiltily, he felt her hand tense beneath his. "Please, do not think I am telling you that your choosing Logan was a mistake and that you should choose Scott instead. That is not my intention. I know Jean's passing has greatly affected us all, but we both know those two gentlemen grieved more than they would reveal to us. Scott however, fully devoted himself to Jean. He knows only how to give one hundred percent and no less. If you do decide to keep your current relationship with Logan, well then, I hope nothing but the best for you both."

"Rogue, if you do decide your feelings for Scott are more than platonic..."

She stopped them both in front of the doors to the med lab, "I know Professor, I understand." She moved her unconfined hand onto his. He squeezed her hand and reached for the wheelchair's control stick, "Alright then, let us proceed, shall we?"
