Mayuri falls backwards onto her butt, dirty and breathing hard as she leans back against a large rock at the edge of the field she and Sasuke have commandeered as their own for this extra training. There's one week left until finals, and Mayuri is feeling the pressure as the day looms ever closer. Plus, between battle training with her dad during the day and melee fighting with Sasuke at night, she's hardly getting the rest she needs.

However, right at this moment all she feels is that awesome glowing feeling one gets after working out really hard. Sasuke drops down beside her, just as tired as she, and leans his head back against the rock. He hates to admit it, and he'll never say it out loud, but he's really glad she asked him for this extra help. He needed to be able to refine his skills, and… it's not like she's awful or anything.

"Man, I haven't trained this hard since those three days before round two." Mayuri stretches her arms out above her head before smiling at him in that carefree way she does. "Those days were brutal."

Sasuke stays silent, but that's normal. He doesn't really like to talk much during training besides what she's doing wrong and how to fix it. However, his silence is a little thicker than normal. There's something he's been trying to ask her about since he started training her… he'd been hoping her Sharingan would activate again so he could prompt her about it. But she has yet to show even the slightest inkling that she knows it even happened once, let alone twice. He can't stand it any longer, he needs answers.

"Mayuri, can I ask you something?" Sasuke looks forward, arms folded atop his knees and his face partially hidden by his arms.

Mayu blinks her golden hues at him before folding her hands in her lap and looking down, white hair hiding her face from him. "…It's about my Sharingan isn't it?"

Sasuke turns his eyes in her direction, they narrowing slightly with his next words. "So you knew."

"Well… It activated once before. During that three day period I mentioned? I wasn't kidding when I said it was brutal." She bites her bottom lip, not sure if she should talk about it. She had, after all, promised herself she wouldn't tell about what happened but… for some reason she feels like Sasuke won't tell anyone. And she's beendying to tell someone.

"How?"

Mayuri pulls her hair behind her ear, it brushing over his arm slightly when she does, and turns to face him, golden hues darkening as she becomes serious. "Okay… I know you probably weren't paying attention, but I was having a minor mental breakdown during round one because I was terrified I was going to fail and fuck everything up for you guys."

He hadn't been paying attention no, having been concerned with his own test and whatnot, however he does have some respect for her. It can't be easy to admit a weakness, even one you're over.

"And… I really wanted to overcome that afterwards." She goes silent for a minute, remembering that conversation where Naruto compared her to Sakura before continuing. "Among other things. So I went outside the village into the woods to do some isolation training."

"And that was probably the best and worst decision I ever made."
