Hope you guys aren't to mad about the wait. I originally wanted to get this done and updated on the 23, but oh well. It's also the moment you've all been waiting for Grimlock returns to the story as a character. I'm a little worried that I might no longer be able to properly do his character, so let me know what you all think. Please enjoy, review and have a merry Christmas!
Grimlock didn't quite know what to make of this situation. He went from having some good dreams ranging from being it a hot tub of oil with Blackarachnia, Elita-1 and Arcee, tormenting Sentinel Prime, wrestling with his siblings along with Prowl and Bulkhead, in some dreams he even envisioned himself in one of Kup's old war stories. He did have one nightmare though in which he was somehow teleported away to a small girl who was either blessed by Primus or cursed by Unicron with the ability to use a twig like a bazooka. The messed up thing though was that she's been trying to turn him into some sort of pet. Unfortunately once Grmilock blinked the sleep out of his optics and saw the stone ceiling, he realized that it wasn't a nightmare.
"Slag." Grimlock sighed.
Suddenly acknowledging the uncomfortable softness he was laying on, the lone Dinobot rose out of the bed. He winced when he rose though, surprised in feeling a series of slight stinging sensations within the chest area. Thankfully it barely hurt though and he was used to aches like this since medics like Ratchet occasionally had to check inside the chest compartments of their patients. Bringing his feet out to the side of the bed he now sat on Grimlock began to reflect on what happened.
He was not happy about what the reflection revealed. He was in stasis lock and it was because of his fight with that arrogant flower child. Never mind that fact most of this humiliating event would only have been possible due to the injuries he sustained from his earlier fight with Starscream. Grimlock couldn't even think of something more humiliating then enter stasis lock after winning a duel with a human child and then waking up in an overly soft and frilly bed; nobody better tell Snarl and Swoop about this he quietly thought to himself. The Dinobot also was unhappy about not getting his trophy; maybe if he beat up the blond boy again into giving him a new lance as trophy he briefly thought. Grimlock was torn out of his thoughts though as the door opened revealing the maid Siesta with a tray of food.
"Oh, so you're awake now." Siesta stated. "Thank goodness! You were asleep for several days."
"Slag that long?" Sighed Grimlock as he rubbed the sleep out of his optics, genuinely surprised with the new information.
"Yes it was." The maid answered, setting the tray of food down on a nearby table. "I was ordered by Miss Vallière to bring you food. Do you need any help?"
"No, me Grimlock good." Grimlock answered before then asking his own question. "Where is she Louise?"
"She's over there." Siesta said gesturing towards a desk in the corner of the room.
Grimlock simply looked towards the direction Siesta gestured to. He was little surprise to have missed see the girl in the room. The surprise though disappeared as fast as it came though when Grimlock noticed that Louise was sleeping on her head resting on the desk. Now satisfied in knowing how he missed that his so called master was in the room with him he turned back to Siesta.
"What happened to her Louise?" Grimlock asked the maid.
"I don't know she probably just tired herself out." Siesta answered. "She didn't sleep one bit while trying to take care of you."
"Take care of me Grimlock?" Grimlock questioned, though mostly to himself, as he felt his opinion of Louise Vallière rise, even if by just a little bit.
"Well it was mostly Professor Colbert and the academy nurse, but she hardly left them when they were treating you." Siesta answered, not knowing Grimlock didn't expect a answer. "I need to go now though, do you need anything else?"
"No thank you Siesta." Grimlock said, as he made his way to the food.
Siesta left shortly after that having other duties to do. Grimlock though simply sat down at the table and began to eat. He didn't care much for the silverware, only using them when necessary. He was surprised to discover that he enjoyed the wine. It was probably because of the alcohol he mused, since alcohol can be burned as a fuel. While eating Grimlock also briefly considered moving Louise to her bed. In the end he decided to just leave her there, he didn't want to wake her. For now he'll let her sleep, but when she wakes up they're going to have a long talk about familiars and masters. While eating Grimlock noticed something leaning against the desk Louise was sleeping on.
Getting a closer look he saw what it was. "My lance!" Grimlock said happily, though still careful not to wake Louise.
The leader of the Dinobots then carefully took his trophy and carried it away to the table, so he could finish his meal and inspect his trophy.
Meanwhile On Cybertron
In his office Overload Minor was waiting for two of his subordinates to come meet him. He prayed to Primus that the two would not lose their tempers. The two have been causing all sorts of trouble when they discovered that their brother and so-called leader went missing. The moment he dreaded eventually came though and the door to his office opened. The first of the two mechs to enter was very large and stocky. The mech was also had a slight brown tint to his armor. He also clearly had a beast mode since his chest plate clearly had the lower jaw of an animal covering it with the rest of the beast mode's head making up a large portion of his back. The mech that came in was skinny and slightly shorter then the other mech, but he was still above the average for a mech of the deluxe class. His armor had an orange tint to it and like the other mech he also clearly had a beast mode, though it was subtler with his beast mode's beak making up part of his chest plates. His feet also supported talons; an unusual trait for the average Cybertronian, but they were difficult to see with the oddly leather like robes, that he could only assume would become wings when he transformed. Overload Minor also assumed that the two spikes on his back with turbines in them were part of his beast modes wings.
Luckily the Minor rank Autobot was able to recognize them based off of what he knew of their beast modes and the fact he was expecting them, never mind the fact they were clearly now techno organics. "Swoop, Snarl please have a seat."
"Me Slug now!" Said the largest mech.
"What?" Asked a confused Overload.
"Him Slug changed name." Swoop answered Overload. "Him Slug wanted to follow old renaming tradition."
Overload Minor simply nodded his head. "I approve of following the older traditions, but why Slug?"
"Because me Slug slug Decepticons!" Slug answered while punching into the palm of his hand.
"I see." Overload said, but before he could say more he was interrupted.
"Enough of this where's he Grimlock?" Slug yelled, slamming his fists into Overload Minor's desk.
"Calm down you Slug!" Swoop yelled. "Me Swoop thinks he getting to that!"
"Yes thank you Swoop." Overload Minor said before taking a deep breath. "And, we have no idea where Grimlock is."
"What?" Yelled both Dinobots.
"We got message from Rodimus Prime, they haven't found him but they're sure that he hasn't left Earth." Overload quickly said.
"Come Swoop us Dinobots going to Earth!" Slug angrily said to his brother and teammate.
Just as Swoop was getting out of his chair though Overload jumped out of his chair and yelled. "You two are going nowhere, now came back in here and sit down Snarl, I mean Slug! We have no idea where Grimlock is or even if he's in one piece, in fact for all we know what ever happened to him is because he became a techno organic!"
Swoop thankfully managed to calm Slug down and see sense, so Slug came back and sat down. "So what happens to us Dinobots now?" Slug asked.
"It's been agreed by the High Council that you two and any one else who became a techno organic needs to stay on Cybertron, until we know if the two are unrelated." Overload answered, thankful that Slug was able to see sense. "Thankfully with the approval of the Magnus I've managed to get you both jobs in the Elite Guard."
"Really where?" Asked Swoop.
"You're both going to work as guards in the Trypticon Prison complex until further notice." Answered Overload Minor.
Yes, the first appearance of Slug and Swoop in this story. I hope I did their characters right. The Dinobots new colors are based off of the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. The T-Rex is sometimes green in the franchise. The Triceratops is almost always either brown or tan. The Pterodactyl is based off of its appearance in the third movie. For those that don't know Animated Snarl is in fact Dinobot Slag in all but name. The name Snarl actually belongs to a Stegosaurus Dinobot, but since he didn't appear in Animated and Slag is curse word in the United Kingdom Snarl became his name. However, my recently closed poll with only 6 vote (disappointed in you guys) his name in this story is to now be Slug, like in all series after Animated like in Fall Of Cybertron and Age Of Extinction. Swoop's new robot mode is slightly based off of Strafe (Swoop) in Age Of Extinction. Slug's robot mode is based off of his appearance in Fall Of Cybertron, which in and of itself is probably based off of Beast Wars Rhinox's robot mode.
