Sasuke POV

I opened my eyes

Where was I?

"Hey." A nostalgic voice said. I froze.

"...Miki?" It couldn't be. She was dead because..because I was too weak.

You are weak. A voice rang out in my head. Itachi.

Events swirled in my head. Madara. Tsukuyomi. Mangekyo Sharingan. Amaterasu. Kirin. Susano'o. Dead.

Itachi was dead. My goal was finished, my revenge achieved.

"Oi, please don't zone out now." The voice called again. My head whipped up. Sure enough, in front of me was the girl that I thought was dead.

"Miki?"

"Yep."

"But...how?" She smiled.

"Not now. I have more important things to tell you. Let me explain where you are. We are in your mind. Your subconscious. As for how, well, remember about three years ago, you got presents? There was a long kunai, which had a seal on it. You had it on you. The seal allows me to enter your subconscious once. So it is used now."

I stared at her, then looked around. My mind was really...messed up. Broken pillars laid around. Black vines wrapped around them. A wall with the Uchiha fan on it was still standing. In other area was the curse whole area was dark except a half moon in the sky.

"You've sunken into darkness." She said. "But it isn't too late. That moon is proof. Half is covered by darkness, the other is still light." I frowned. How did she know that? She was supposed to be dead as well.

"I'm drifting away from the topic. When you wake up, you will see a man with an orange mask. He will tell you things, but I don't want you to fall for everything he says. Most likely, he will tell you the truth, while manipulating it so that it works for him. Got it?" I nodded.

"Well then, good luck." She said, and then disappeared.

This time, when I opened my eyes, I was in the real world. As Miki predicted, there was a man in a orange mask.

He introduced himself, and then suddenly, my eye burned. Black flame attacked him. I bent over in pain.

When he returned, he began to speak...

I sat frozen. He looked at me, then left.

Itachi killed on the orders of the elders. He wasn't cold hearted. He loved me. The smile on his face as he died. The pained look in his face at times. The tear he shed before he left.

He was dead because I was foolish.

The elders. Konoha. It was their fault I lost everything. They put Itachi through so much pain.

A new presence appeared next to me.

"Hey. I though I told you to not fall for him." A voice whispered in my eye. I turned around, but saw nothing.

"Don't say anything. I want you to act as if you agree to join him. I must show you something after. Then, you can make your decision." I nodded and the presence faded.

The man walked back in.

"Have you made your decision?" He asked. I nodded.

"I...will destroy Konoha." I said, putting hate into my words. It wasn't hard.

He nodded, and led me out of the cave. I found myself facing a sunset. The other members of Hebi were there.

I stood facing the open ocean. I let my tears stream freely down my face.

When I collected myself, I addressed the team.

"We are no longer Hebi. We are now Taka. Our goal...is the complete and utter destruction of Konoha." I said. Tobi nodded and led me back into the cave. He showed me into a room. I entered and laid down on the bed.

"Sasu-Chibi-Chan!" A voice called out. I turned and saw Miki.

As I watched, she changed. She grew taller, and her brown hair grew longer and then turned red. She wore an akatsuki cloak and had bright green eyes.

"First, my name is Momiji. Miki was just a pretense. A fake." I glared ather

"Let me speak without you glaring at me like that. You plan on destroying Konoha. Do you realize that it goes against everything that Itachi wanted to protect? He doesn't want you to avenge him. He wants you to be able to live in light."

"How would you know?" I shouted. She moved to the side and I saw my brother.

"Sasuke..." He said. My eyes grew.

"What..." I asked. Itachi turned to face Mi- no, Momiji.

"I would like to know as well. This wasn't what we had planned." She shrugged.

"Well, I didn't want you to die. Plus, Tobi literally appeared seconds after I finished healing you. I can't control time, as much as I would like to."

I coughed and they turned to look at me.

"Explain." I demanded. Momiji laughed.

"Itachi, I'll leave that to you. Once you're done, knock on the door and I'll come back." She said, then walked out.

The two of us stared at each other.

"Is it true?" I asked. He hesitated. "Don't lie to me!" I shouted. "I want to know the truth. Only the truth!"

He closed his eyes.

"Yes..." He whispered. I felt a stab of pain.

"You lied to me. I thought...I thought that you were a coldblooded murderer this whole time. I trained to defeat you! You...you're telling me that this whole time, I was living a lie?" He nodded.

"Why?"

"I wanted you to walk the right path. I wanted you to never learn any of this. I wanted you to kill me, and then go back to Konoha thinking you had succeeded. I wanted you to also view the Uchiha name with pride." He said. "But you learned the truth."

"How about me?" He looked at me, confused. "I don't want to leave a life like that. not knowing, leading a false life. Surrounded in ignorance. In my own reality, as you called it. No matter how much it hurts to know this truth, I wouldn't have and still don't wantsuch a life."

"I'm sorry, Sasuke." I clenched my teeth.

"SORRY DOESN'T CUT IT!" I shouted. So many times, he said 'Forgive me, Sasuke. I'm sorry'

Momiji barged in.

"Keep in down!" She hissed. We ignored her. She tsked, but walked out.

"You want to destroy Konoha." Itachi partially asked, partially stated. I nodded and he sighed.

"I have no right to interfere with your decision. I always lied, telling you to forgive me. I pushed you away. I didn't want you to get involved. But now...maybe, if I had confronted you. you might have been able to change what I couldn't. Maybe it could have been different. But I failed, and you became like this. You have been lied to so many times that truth has mixed in with lies. I can tell you this truth though. No matter what you choose though, I will still love you." I thought about this, and nodded.

Itachi walked over and knocked on the door. Momiji walked in.

"Now that the brotherly moment is done, I'll speak. Sasuke, what have you decided?"

"I...I need to know more." I finally said. "What the village is. What shinobi are." She sighed.

"I guess it is time for a history lesson then."
