Cliffhanger! (I know I do that a lot and I am sorry for using such a HUGE one to end the chapter, but I was in the mood for one). Author's Note: FYI, I've only seen a small portion of the third Winx Club film "Mystery of the Abyss," and most of what I've seen I didn't like. So my interpretation of the Pearl of the Deep in the last chapter was of my own creation. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Chapter 25: A Short-Lived Victory

The wave of magic emanating from the Sword of Healing spread across the entire beach.

All of the mutants were lifted into the air. The Sword of Healing sent a wind of fresh air towards the midair mutants, causing the legged mutants to land gently on the beach while the ones with tails where placed into the ocean. The Sword somehow knew which was which.

The mutants were then bathed with a golden glow. The mutants in the water slowly turned back into merpeople.

Then something glorious happened. The five legged mutants on the beach turned back into Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, and Aisha.

Bloom looked down at her dearest, best friends and grinned. The Winx Club was back!

The violent storm was weakening. The clouds, wind, and rain were being sucked into the Sword of Healing.

The last element of the terrible storm to be pulled away was the hurricane protecting Icy and Tritannus. As the last of the hurricane evaporated, Bloom could see that the Sword was still absorbing something- it was removing the pollution and extra powers Icy and Tritannus had stolen.

All of the toxins Tritannus had absorbed were leaching out of his body. The moment Tritannus had returned to his normal merman form, his trident shattered.

As Icy's Dark Sirenix was taken away from her, something else was being leached out of Icy's body. It looked like two streams of smoke- one purple and one red. Once Icy returned to her normal witch form, the streams of smoke solidified. The purple smoke turned into Darcy, the red into Stormy, both in their normal witch forms again.

The deed was done. Having finished its job, the Sword of Healing began to vibrate so violently that Bloom and her sisters couldn't hold on. The Sword then separated back into the Sword of Neptune, the Breath of the Ocean, and the Pearl of the Deep, all three objects falling down onto the sand below.

The villainous couple was trying to get away. But Tritannus was still weakened from having his toxins drained, and Icy was a terrible swimmer without her Dark Sirenix tentacles. The merpeople were able to intercept the two villains before they could swim too far away. Nereus held Tritannus, Tressa held Icy, and with some help from the guards from the Prison of Andros they dragged the two onto the edge of the beach.

Bloom and her sisters landed their feet gently on the sand. The moment they landed, Icy and Tritannus were heaved onto the beach in front of the three fairies.

Bloom was about to cast a spell to bind the two villains when Roxy tapped her shoulder. "Allow me, Bloom," the Fairy of Animals smiled. Bloom nodded, returning the smile.

"Python's Grasp!" cried Roxy, creating a beam of energy in the shape of a giant snake that wrapped itself around the villainous couple and tied them together.

Silence.

Then a cheer arose from every direction. The merpeople in the ocean, Roxy's parents, Bloom's Earth parents, the remaining members of the Winx Club, and even Darcy and Stormy were screaming one name.

"Bloom! Bloom! Bloom!"

Those with legs began running across the beach towards the fairy. The merpeople obviously couldn't run on land, but a few tried to catch a breeze to glide on so they could be closer to Bloom.

"Stop!" Roxy held up her hands. "It wasn't just Bloom who saved the day. It was…"

"Daphne, my big sister!" Bloom cried. "And Enchanta, by little sister! I couldn't have done it without them!"

The crowd paused, then cheered even louder. Before they could react, the crowd surrounded the three sisters of the Dragon's Flame.

Bloom pushed her way through the crowd until she found her fellow Winx. They were together, glancing at Icy and Tritannus. "Uh, Bloom?" Aisha asked. "Did you extract all of Tritannus' toxins?"

"Yes," established Bloom. "Why?"

"His skin is still green."

Bloom turned and saw that Tritannus' skin was, indeed, still green. It was not as dark as when he was a monster, but Tritannus' skin had still turned a sickly green.

Flora glanced back at Tritannus. "I can sense that all the toxins have been removed from his system," she confirmed.

"It was a 96 present chance that prolonged exposure to toxins could cause side effects to magical creatures," Tecna announced. "It looks like we are seeing such a side effect take place. Seems fitting."

Bloom grinned. "So, I guess I should fill you in to what's been going on, huh?"

"Actually, Bloom, we remember everything that happened," said Musa.

"Everything?" Bloom asked.

"Uh, of course," Stella snapped. "We were only mutants for a few hours, remember? So, anyway, when did you get a little sister?"

Bloom laughed. There was so much that the Winx didn't know- how could Bloom begin to explain the horrors she had seen in the future ruled by Tritannus? And why would Bloom explain that future?

Still, it hadn't been all bad. Bloom had met Enchanta, who was the key to saving the entire Magical Dimension and her little sister. Enchanta was probably the best thing to come out of that future.

"I think it's time that you officially met my sister Enchanta," Bloom began leading the Winx to where her new sister stood with Daphne, shaking hands and accepting thanks.

That's when it happened. One second, Enchanta was standing there, grinning at everyone who thanked her. The next, Bloom felt something change inside her chest. It felt like… a piece of her heart, that she had just found, had broken away and vanished.

And Enchanta disappeared.

Bloom pushed through the crowd. "Where's Enchanta?" Bloom gasped for air.

"She just vanished," Daphne cried. "I have no idea what's happening!"

Behind them, an intake of breath could be heard. Turning, Bloom spotted Roxy standing with her fists clinched.

"I know what's going on," Roxy whispered. She opened her hand, and a sea-foam-green envelope appeared in her palm.

"Before the battle, Enchanta gave this to me," Roxy explained. "It was only to be delivered if she suddenly disappeared. It's addressed to you two, Bloom and Daphne."
