A/N: I will admit it…for a time being, I lost interest in this story. But…I'M BACK! Don't worry, I will never abandon you for that long again, I promise. It's just, I really want to get the Thanksgiving stuff done, because I have some pretty awesome idea for the Christmas chapters, which hopefully, will be in a chapter or two.

Gohan and Videl sat next to each other, sort of, at the square table. Chi Chi was at one head of the table, while Videl was at the other, with Gohan and Goten directly across from each other. The two boys dug into their meal, while Chi Chi rolled her eyes playfully, her and Videl both eating at a slower pace. Half way through her meal, Videl stopped.

"Chi Chi…this is without a doubt the best food I think I've ever had…like ever." Videl complimented, totally star-struck.

"Oh…why thank you Videl." Chi Chi responded, surprised by the comment. She didn't have many visitors, except for of course Bulma's family, so it was quite heartwarming to hear that the girl liked her food.

"Like this is really good… I don't ever think Maurice cooks this well." Videl said again.

"Who's Maurice?" Chi Chi asked.

"Oh…he's the chef my dad hired…since Dad's away on business a lot…I don't know, he has weird reasons for doing things." Videl explained, remembering that Gohan's family wasn't as fortunate as hers, even if they deserved to be.

"Right…I remember now…your father is Hercule, right?" Chi Chi asked. Videl nodded her head shamefully, knowing that out of anybody, Chi Chi had all the rights in the world to absolutely hate her and her father.

"Don't worry, Videl. The apple, in this case, falls very, very, far from the tree." Chi Chi comforted. Videl knew what she meant, and she smiled.

"Hey, Gohan." Goten said.

"Yeah? What's up?" Gohan asked him.

"Is Videl 'gonna be my new sister?" Goten asked innocently. Gohan spit all of his rice into Goten's face. Videl was blushing severely and Chi Chi was trying not to laugh.

"What was that for? All I was doin' was askin' a question!" Goten asked, wiping the rice out of his hair.

"Sorry, Goten. But…but why would you ask something like that?" Gohan asked, trying to recollect himself.

"Well you two just seem like really good friends, is all. I mean, you're teaching her first, 'an she was really nice to you when me 'n Trunks dyed your hair yellow-" Goten was cut off.

"You did what?!" Chi Chi yelled.

"Uh-oh…" Goten said, shrinking down.

"You dyed your brother's hair blonde?! That's it! No flying lessons today, pal!" Chi Chi yelled, walking over to Goten, pulling him into the house by the ear.

"But Mommy!" Goten whined.

"No buts, Goten. Now, go to your room and read that entire book!" Chi Chi ordered as she slammed the front door shut. Gohan and Videl sat in silence, amazed at what just happened.

"Well, I guess it's just you and me again." Gohan said, smiling.

"I guess so." Videl smiled.

"Okay, Videl, this time, instead of controlling the ki outside of your body, we are going to be controlling it on the inside of your body. Once you master that, then it'll be extremely simple for you to fly." Gohan explained, as they sat on the grass by the tree near his house.

"Okay." So for the next few hours, all Gohan did was drill Videl. She learned how to move the ki freely within her body, and how to gather it up in large amounts.

"Wow! Videl! This is incredible! You've mastered it so fast! I mean, I wouldn't expect anything less from one of the strongest humans on the planet, next to Krillin and Yamcha, but still!" Gohan praised as Videl 'passed' her 'final exam' in ki control. Videl sank to her knees, exhausted.

"I'm pooped." Videl said simply.

"Yeah, I can imagine. It takes a lot out of you in the first day or two. Say, it's only, like three. Would you like to watch me and Goten train?" Gohan asked, trying to figure out a way to pass the time.

"But he's in trouble." Videl stated.

"Oh, it's okay. My mom will just make him apologize to me. I promise. So just stay here, and I'll go get him." Gohan said, jogging towards his house. Videl sat on the ground, picking at the grass, when she heard an excited, "Yay!" come from the house. And the next thing she knew, Gohan and Goten were standing in front of her, smiling widely.

"Hi, Videl." Goten said, jumping up and down in glee.

"Hi, Goten. You gonna beat your big brother?" Videl asked.

"Yeah! I'm gonna whoop him into next week!" Goten said, a huge smile on his face. Both Gohan and Videl laughed.

"Well, if you're so sure Goten…Let's start." Gohan said, as he started to spar with his younger brother. Videl watched in awe as the two battled. She'd never witnessed a Saiyan battle, and it was very interesting- even if she knew that Gohan was holding back, by a lot. The hours passed with the blink of an eye, and soon, it was 7 'o' clock, and Videl, Gohan, Goten and Chi Chi were all sitting around their dining room table, saying what they were for.

"I'm thankful for all of this food." Goten said, his mouth watering at the sight.

"I don't know…I guess I'm thankful for making some friends my own age." Gohan said thoughtfully.

"I'm thankful for all of the training that Gohan's been giving me. It's quite eye opening." Videl said, remembering all of the times that Gohan told her about his life, and way of doing things.

"I' thankful that Gohan has a friend like you Videl. You really seem to care about him." Chi Chi said, a certain glint in her eye. Both Videl and Gohan blushed. The boys let the girls fill their plates first, seeing as how they were going to eat the rest of it. Videl and Chi Chi ate slowly as Gohan and Goten stuffed their faces with turkey and mashes potatoes. Once everybody was stuffed to their limit, Chi Chi brought out the pumpkin pie.

"Ugh…nope, I'm too full. Can't do it." Videl said, as soon as she saw what was in Chi Chi's hands. Gohan and Goten, however, practically dive-bombed the pie, eating it in about 5 seconds.

"Well, now what?" Goten asked, yawning.

"Now, you go to bed mister." Chi Chi said, as she led him down the hall, as he protested.

"Hey, mom? What about Videl?" Gohan yelled.

"She can stay, or go! I don't care!" Chi Chi yelled from Goten's room. Gohan looked at Videl with a questioning look in his eyes.

"Can you take me home? Or Erasa's house? She won't care." Videl asked, not feeling up for spending the night at Gohan's house.

"Sure." Gohan said, before running down the hall to tell his mom that he was taking Videl home. He came back, with Videl waiting outside, and they took off.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Gohan asked from the front doorway of the Satan Mansion.

"I'll be fine, Gohan. I'm by myself all the time. I'll probably be getting a call from Erasa any minute now, anyways, saying that she wants to go Black Friday shopping," Videl said, smiling at Gohan's worried expression.

"Well, okay….just call me, or something. Please? Just to ease my mind?" Gohan pleaded.

"Okay, okay, I suppose I can do that," Videl agreed. Gohan breathed out heavily. Before Videl lost her courage, she said something else.

"Oh, and Gohan? Thanks for dinner tonight. It was great," Videl said, while standing up on the tips of her toes and kissing Gohan on the cheek. It was short and fast, and as soon as she did it, she scurried back into her house, and closed the door in his face. Gohan, however, could have stood there all night, trying to remember what his name was…but, he had a mother to get home to. So he flew home, in a daze- and he remained like that for the rest of the vacation- even when Videl had called him to reassure him that she was okay after the crowds of Black Friday. He just couldn't believe that Videl had kissed him- even if it was only on the cheek. He had no idea she even liked him, let alone wanting to kiss him. But, admittedly, Gohan liked the feeling- and he wanted it to happen again.

I know, I know, short chapter for a long wait. But, I swear to you that the next chapter will be longer, better, and one of the best chapters yet! (Next to the Halloween one, that one's my personal favorite). So please, I ask you lovely people- leave a review. Even if you don't have an account, please try to leave one. They keep me going. Until next time….BYEEEEEE
