Lindsey's Point of View-
Evan had opened the trunk for us to grab out bags as he held the trunk door open with one hand for a little bit as he allowed me to grab my bag first before I stepped back to stand clear of the door and Evan grabbed his bag to put on his shoulder before he stepped back clear of the door as well before he shut the door that he had opened. "I'll meet you, um…" Evan said as I could tell he was trying to think of a place to meet and such.
"I'll text you okay?"
"Sounds good…don't kill him…" He said with a smile and chuckled as he glanced over to Cody as he walked by Cody, "Afternoon Cody." Evan said as Cody just glared to Evan as he walked by him and I reached over chopping Cody across the chest getting him to flinch and moan in pain.
"What was that for?" He asked in agony.
"For that glare, what did he do to you?"
"He for one is bad for you."
"Because he 'supposedly' cost me a lunch date with you?" I asked doing air quotes around the word supposedly.
"Yes."
"You aren't the all high mighty god okay, my world does not, key word not, revolve around Cody. There are going to be times and days where there are more important things to me than you, okay? I have no reason to revolve my world around you."
"You should because I'm your brother."
"But you aren't Cody…you aren't my brother…like how Dustin isn't my dad…I need to have my own set of priorities, yes you are a priority Cody because we are close and still want that but right now Evan is higher than you, hell Kofi is higher than you because he is related to work…"
"Shouldn't I be a priority because you guys are feuding with me and Ted?" Cody asked.
"Cody, you are so dumb right now…" I said as I turned to walk away from him and I heard him let out a sigh.
"Lindsey, wait…I'm sorry okay…I just hate that you spend all of your time with him…"
"Why do you hate that so much? It's not like he is a bad guy like that Orton kid…we will be moving in together so we will be spending more time together, I promise." I said as he nodded, it was weird of Cody to get jealous of sorts of Evan and I but it was sweet that he wanted to spend more time with me.
"You better, and that better not be this whole I'm going to drive down to Florida every time we got days off to see Evan or your dad."
"Not every time, Evan can just come up to me too." I said smirking and chuckling as I turned to walk away but Cody did not seem too impressed or happy about that which had me laughing more. I was impressed with my come back and I had no problem with having Evan come up and being a guest at our apartment because he was going to let me be a guest at his place, probably more than just this once if things work out for the best. I headed towards the women's locker room to where I headed in saying my hi's along with giving out hugs to the girl's in which I was told that I was to have my match against Layla again with Natalya doing a run-in only for me to do the same the next night. Layla and I both knew what was going to go down in the match since we had performed previous nights. I changed quickly sliding sweat pants and sweaters on, I didn't bother with my knee pads and boots since they would have to be took off or make taking the sweat pants off harder. I was used to walking around bare foot by now as I headed to the catering to grab some water to hydrate up before my match. I pulled out my phone as I leant against the wall as I texted Evan to see if he wanted to come hang out with me in catering before either of us were to go on and right before I pushed sent I felt someone gripping at my forearm getting me to look up.
"Who are you texting?" Evan asked as I smiled as I looked into his light brown eyes.
"Oh, you won't know them…he is about this tall, with a beautiful set of brown eyes and an awesome amazing guy that loves superheroes and comics like myself."
"Um, I may know that guy…" He said smiling and chuckled, "You want to go somewhere more private?" He asked as I saw him look around the room as I nodded as I noticed how many people were in there as we grabbed a couple water bottles and we each grabbed a fruit of our choice to eat as we headed to a more private place where we sat on a crate in a hallway that didn't have much human traffic so we can talk. "So, how are you feeling with you all meeting up with your dad this week? I mean, you got to be somewhat excited." Evan asked as I let out a sigh as I took another drink from my water.
"I am, but I'm not. I love him because he is my father but afraid of him wanting to meet up with me for the wrong reasons, I think Dustin kind of warned me of that."
"Do you think your dad would do that? Family is family, would you help your dad out if he needed it?"
"I'll help him more and before I helped my mom…but I don't know if I trust him…he is my dad but it's also like he's been out of my life for so many years it's like I don't know what to expect. Do you trust your parents, of course you would, but like, they didn't support this wrestling thing, are things perfect?" I asked curiously.
"Our relationship isn't picture perfect, but its way better than what your relationships were and are. They may be family, you got to love them for doing their best if that is applicable but you don't have to like them. They make us who we are today…I do have a relationship with them today, and it hurts that they don't watch me wrestle." Evan said as I nodded as I reached my hand out resting it on his calf, we were both sitting on the crate Indian style.
"Learn from their mistakes…what would they want you to do rather than wrestle? Or what would you do with your life if you weren't wrestling?"
"Um…been doing a lot of yoga lately, a yoga instructor…or a ranger, I love nature." Evan said as I smirked and chuckled, "What's with the chuckle?"
"I wasn't expecting that come from you with how obsessed you are with comics like me." I said as I scratched at my brow.
"I'm not creative enough to think of a storyline for comic books, nor can I draw unlike some people around here." He said as I felt myself blush.
"That was what I wanted to do with my life before this happened." I said as I rolled my eyes and waved my hand as he smiled.
"Well I'm glad this happened because then I wouldn't me sitting here with you nor would have met you." He said as I smirked.
"That is very true, fate happens sometimes and it was for the good this time." I said as he smiled.
"The best…" Evan said as he rubbed at my leg.
"Lindsey…" A PA called as we both looked in the direction of the voice seeing him wave with his two fingers for me to come as I nodded as I looked to Evan.
"Work calls…" I said as Evan nodded as I slid off the crate heading towards where the PA is carrying my boots in hand as we headed to the gorilla position as I began to tug the sweats off and pulling the boots on quickly tightening them around my legs and feet. I looked over seeing Kofi doing this jump warm-ups or whatever as I walked closer tossing my sweats onto the one create. "Hey Kofi, could we talk?" I asked as he glance to me as he did the jump and nodded mid-air before he landed and wiped at his forehead.
"Now? Aren't you about to go on?" Kofi asked as I looked over my shoulder seeing people coming back knowing my match is next.
"Right…" I said looking back at him, "But I would really like to talk to you, after the show, in the ring?" I asked as he nodded.
"That's a deal." He said with a smile as I smiled back, I had to say Kofi did have the brightest smile I have seen in a while. I headed to the position behind Layla waiting for my turn to head out to the ring putting on the match pretty much the same way the other night before I had headed to the backstage area where I went down seeing Evan sitting on the ground stretching his legs as I smirked as I walked over sitting down in front of him. "Hey." He said as his smile brighten and widen.
"Hey, you want help?" I asked stretching my hands out to grasp his as he grasped them as I leant back pulling him with me. "So, you said you did yoga?" I asked as he looked up at me as I was mentally counting to myself.
"Yeah, do you?"
"Nah, I'm afraid that I don't have enough balance or be able to contort to those positions." I said honestly.
"Maybe I will teach you or force you into doing some yoga with me."
"Do men wear yoga pants too?" I asked as he chuckled and shook his head no.
"No, we don't wear yoga pants…that is too girly for us." He said as he started leaning back right when I had gotten to twenty pulling me with him.
"Well pardon me…but do I have to wear those pants?"
"Nope, you don't have to wear anything at all if you don't want to." He said with a boyish smile and I blushed as he couldn't help but to smile.
"I'll do it if you did it." I said as he smiled more as he broke his grip on my hands as he moved to stand up and when he got to his feet he stuck his hand out, I looked up at the hand then up at Evan meeting his hazel eyes as he smirked. I grasped his hand as I moved my feet so they could be flat on the floor and I used my other hand to help push myself up as Evan pulled me up to my feet. With that being done, I was then now standing mere inches from Evan and our clothes rubbing against each others as my free hand resting onto his shoulder as his hand still held onto my hand. "Uh…good luck….out there." I said nervously as I removed my hand from his shoulder pushing it through my hair as he smirked.
"You are so cute when you are nervous and blushing." Evan said as he chuckled as he let go of my hand as I walked with him closer to the place I had just came from grabbing the sweats I were wearing beforehand. I waited until I watched the two make their entrance and enjoyed the match they were putting on against the Legacy, Cody and Ted. I was lucky that Cody wasn't around when we said those things when stretching. I began to head back to the locker room, I felt bad not waiting around for Evan but knew that he would understand. I got back to the locker room changing out of my ring gear and into the sweats that I wore over my attire as I was zipping up my bag heading out and heading to catering to grab a bottle of water downing it before I found my way to a place where I could be alone. I sat there pulling out my sketch book where I doodled out two different figures that I would use to draw the ring attire on for the boys and I, one figure was male and the other female. I sat there tapping my pencil against the pad of paper in my lap, it was probably annoying those walking by me trying to think of what the gear should look like as I just went for it, I drew three different versions of the gear I had in mind a lot quicker than I had thought. I was pulled away from adding details when my phone vibrating, I picked it up from the crate next to me seeing it was a text message from Evan as I smiled. "'Where'd you run off too?'" Evan asked.
"'I needed privacy to work on this gear.'" I answered as I put it between my Indian crossed legs as I went back to staring at the drawings trying to remember what I was going to add when my phone went off again.
"'Ok, I'll be ready soon if you want to head out to get some dinner somewhere together.'" Evan said as I let out a sigh as I scratched at the back of my head.
"'Yeah we can but I got something to do before we leave but got to wait for the show to end to talk to someone.'"
"'Who if you don't mind me asking?'"
"'Kofi, I want to just work with him one on one since him and I need more work.'" I said hoping that would be good enough for him and Evan never responded so I hoped Evan wouldn't show up. I let out a sigh as I jumped off the crate putting the drawing pad into my bag to show Sandra tomorrow my ideas and I headed towards where the ring would be knowing the show was done by now. I got to the ring jumping onto the apron to sit as I watched crew members taking other things apart knowing it'll be a while before they got to the ring. I waited patiently until I glanced up seeing him walking down with his bag resting on his shoulder with the strap as he walked down to me.
"You wanted to talk?" Kofi asked as I nodded and he moved to lean back against the ring next to me.
"So…I wanted to talk to you and ask you if you won't be awkward around Evan and I if we started dating or if anything happened between us?"
"Nah, I mean if you two like each other and if something is there go after it…we will be tight and it may be awkward sometimes because I will be the third wheel at some point but hey." Kofi said.
"I don't want you to be like a third wheel though."
"But you can't hold back the feelings you feel though…I say go for it…don't mind me…it probably won't even be that bad and hell, we could still all be friends because we still get along with each other…as long as you guys like each other and aren't obnoxious about it then we be cool, okay?" Kofi asked as I smiled and nodded.
"You sure you'll be okay with it?"
"What? You want me to say no?"
"No, just I just want to make sure we will be cool."
"We'll be cool, trust me." Kofi said with a smile and I smiled.
"I should go, Evan is waiting for me…" I said as I slid off the apron as I turned to Kofi, "Thanks Kofi…for being okay with Evan and I if anything happens."
"Don't thank me, I didn't do anything….but thanks for considering me though, it was very sensitive of you." Kofi said as I smiled and nodded.
"See you tomorrow." I said.
"See you tomorrow." He repeated with a smile as I turned around heading to the back to find Evan so we can go back to the hotel then go find some food for dinner.
