"Do you have any... threes?" I asked Carl, looking up at him.

He smirked, "Go fish. Any fives?"

I threw my two fives at him, "You suck."

He laughed, "No, I'm just good."

His smile fell and I stared at him, "Do you hear that?"

We went quiet, and I heard the groans of walkers. I looked out towards the back gate, and I saw walkers, dozens of them, coming towards the house.

"The gate will stop them, right?" Carl asked.

We watched as they reached the back gate, but it must've been unlocked, because one touch and it opened.

"Go warn the others." I told him.

"What about you?" He asked.

"Go!" I yelled and I aimed my gun and began shooting them.

I left Riley on the roof and ran down the steps as I heard her gunshots, "Walkers!"

"What?" Mom asked, looking at me from the kitchen.

"Walkers! Dozens of them!"

"Everyone, pack your stuff. Let's go!" Dad ordered.

Some of them ran outside, guns aimed. They began shooting and I ran back up the stairs with my mom calling my name. I got back to the window and I saw Riley still up there, reloading her gun.

"Riley! Come on!" I yelled at her, holding my hand out.

She looked over at me. Her face was calm, but if you looked into her eyes, you could see the fear. Riley grabbed my hand and I pulled her off of the roof and back into the bedroom. We both raced downstairs where some of the others were.

"Come on!" Dad yelled and the rest of us raced out the front doors.

I kept holding Riley's hand as we all ran towards the cars. I looked behind me and saw the walkers chasing after us. They were catching up. Riley, Alexa, and I ran to the SUV and quickly got in. Alexa started the car and we drove away, following the Hershel's truck and Otis'. Behind us was Daryl's bike and the Hyundai.

"Charlie! Where's Charlie?!" Riley cried and I wrapped my arms around her.

"She's with Daryl!" Alexa answered, looking through the back window. "She's okay."

We didn't stop until that night. When we got out, mom immediately ran over to me and checked if I was okay. I nodded and watched as Riley ran over to Charlie and Daryl.

Dad and Daryl went out to find a place to stay, and came back a half hour and brought us to a small cabin. Dad sat by the window in the living room, keeping watch.

"I'm sorry." Glenn spoke up when we all sat near the fireplace.

"What for?" T-Dog replied.

"I didn't lock the back gate. Maggie and I went out earlier on a small supply run. I forgot to lock it." Glenn said.

"No one's blaming you, Glenn." Alexa responded, "We thought we were safe. We let out guard down."

"We won't let our guard down again." Dad stated from the other side of the room.
