The entire morning went by very quickly, and so far things went to schedule. Except that Riley broke down crying after getting into a huge fight with her step-father, and then I heard Lillian screaming to get someone out of her dressing room. . . .Well that was the story that I head from Nelson, as I got to the church on time, Riley arrived before me and things went smoothly from there out. I was really nervous, I could almost feel myself breaking out into a sweat. And I bet that some sweat beads were starting to slid down my forehead.
"Relax, Gabriel things are going to be fine."
"You sure, Nelson?"
"Riley loves you, and will take you any day of the week."
"That is so very true."
He gave me a small pat on the back, and gave me a small wink after looking at his watch. That was our code for me to get into position, because the wedding was about to start. I nodded, and jumped up the small steps that led up to where the priest was standing. Couldn't hide my excitement at all.
Everyone soon grew quiet, as we all heard the music start up. The flower girl was Lillian's cousin's daughter, then the maid of honor which was my mom, and the bridesmaid's were Lillian her daughter, Rebecca. It was good to see the two of them together.
Though Riley's dad, biological one was not here and her step-father was. . . It was her mother who got to walk her daughter down the aisle. [Her step-father didn't want to do it at all. . . No idea why, though.] Looking at Riley, she had a veil covering her face, a floor length flowing white gown with light blue trim, gold jewelry with dashes of blue sapphires and green emeralds, carrying a bouque of yellow, pink, purple, and blue flowers in her hands.
To Nelson, I mouthed the words "oh my god." Riley looked even hotter than she did before, even hotter than the way she dressed on our first date. That is how hot she is. Forget the first date image for now, this image was even better.
I held my hand to her at the right moment, and she gradually took it as she went up the small steps. I could bet right now, that her heart was pounding like crazy. . . . Because mine was battering against my rib cage wanting to break free.
We went through the whole thing where the priest does his long talk [I wanted to fall asleep, but my mom gave me a small glare, which got me wide awake] and up to the part where we got to say our vows. We survived this long together, and now this was forever going to be eternal between the two of us.
"Riley. . . . You are my partner and my love. I never thought that a day like this would ever come into our lives at all, and I know that we didn't expect it to go this far either. . . . . But, I never want to be separated from you at all. You are a brand new star in my world, that I can stare at all of the time, and I don't ever want to stop staring at you. No matter where you are, I want to to be there by your side ready to fight with you and protect you. . . . Don't vanish from my sight, don't ever be apart from me. . . My world is now yours. And when our two worlds are combine after we kiss each other, let us never have our world separate and never end in sever tragedy."
The priest nodded at Riley, and she gave me one of her special grins again.
"Gabriel, I'm not sure if my words can compare to the ones that you just said . . . But they would be pretty much the same as yours. You are someone I can be with. . . No matter what happens exactly, and I know you are going to be there by my side. At first, we were partners, then lovers, and now this is where we stand. In front of the alter and getting married and. . . And I just don't want this to end, and I don't think it ever will end at all. Everyday is an adventure with you, and our adventures are still beginning."
I gave Riley a grin back, and I could tell that we are going to be happy together. The two of us nodded at the preist, and I could almost see the tears going down Riley's face.
"Gabriel Vaughn do you take Riley Neal to be your beloved wedded wife?"
"I do."
"And do you Riley Neal take Gabriel Vaughn to be your beloved wedded husband?"
"I do."
"Then I pronounce you man and wife."
I lifted the veil off of Riley's face, and passionately kissed her on the lips. Behind us, we could hear everyone clapping as we parted. Now we are happily married. And now, we have a whole future set out before us together. . . And who knows if we have a kid or two along the way.
The rest of the evening flow by smoothly, after the whole ceremony part. I got to have the first dance with Riley, and we danced gracefully. I swear, I felt like I was actually dancing on clouds with her.
"You look even lovelier then what you did on our first date."
"Really?"
"Yes."
I gave her a small twirl, and soon brought her back close to me. I felt her head rest on my shoulder, and I just happily sighed.
"To let you know, in public and in front of me you are no longer Miss Neal, except at work. You are now known as Mrs. Vaughn."
She just laughed, and we both continue dancing until the song ended. It was good to have her in my life. What would I do without her?
Other people soon started to dance, and we dance through a couple of more songs until it was time to cut the cake. Lillian baked this three layer vanilla cake for us, and her daughter put the frosting on. That was really nice of them to do that, we owe them.
The evening soon flew by for everyone, and now it was time for both me and Riley to get to our honeymoon destination. Riley and I took off running as we got hit with rice and flower petals, as we made our way to the black corvette that Lillian allowed us to borrow.
Starting up the car, we soon took off and I could see a trail of ribbons was tied to the car antenna. On one of them, I saw the words "Nelson was here tying ribbons."
"So where are we going now, Gabriel?"
"Well, we are taking a jet to Hawaii. Lillian is letting us borrow her condo that she has there. It's part of her gift."
"We really owe her, Gabriel."
"Yes, we really do owe her, Riley. And I know what I am going to do with you when we get there?"
"What are you going to do with me?"
"I am going to mess with you all night long, until you are sore in the morning."
"You are not. I will struggle against you each and eveyr second along the way."
"You sure don't know how to have fun on our honeymoon night, Riley."
"Don't blame me on that, Gabriel! I just like to hang on to this little perfect moment just a bit more longer then expected."
