Chapter 26: Jurassic Rumble
Ralph crashes the truck into the new visitor center and opens the back of the truck. He throws Tim, who is still tied up, out of the truck while searching for a curing dart. But, he then feels the pressure of a dart gun towards the back of his head.
"Looking for this Dr. Jackson?", asks Dr. Wu. Ralph puts his hands in the air.
"Gentlemen, let's not be too hasty here", says Ralph in a surprisingly calm manner.
"Tell me the truth. Who are you working for?"
"The truth? Well, the truth is-", Ralph knocks out Dr. Wu and runs with the dart gun outside to find the Carnotaur staring at two motorbikes. The Carnotaur lets out a roar and charges towards the motorbikes only to run into the Giganotosaur. Robert and Lex swerve out of the way and drive straight towards Ralph as the two monsters fall down on each other. Ralph, realizing the two motorbikes coming straight for him, runs back to his truck. When he is about to open the driver seat door, the door swerves open and Ralph falls on his back. He gets up, with his hands up in front of Robert, Lex, Dr. Wu, and Dr. Malcolm. Lex notices her brother on the ground, alive.
"Timmy! I was so worried you were dead!" cries Lex as she hugs her brother, who starts to get up and see the standoff between Dr. Jackson and the others. Meanwhile, the Giganotosaur and Carnotaurus are back on their feet and brawling and biting each other with all their forces.
"Alright, alright! You win!", Ralph says, "I work with BioSyn".
Dr. Wu, "Why? I trusted you."
"It's only because Hammond never really put faith in my work. He only valued yours. But rumor has it that he's also neglected you over money. What's that saying again? Spare no expense? It's just a big fat corporate lie if you ask me."
Robert advances towards Ralph and asks, "Are there other spies on this island? Are there?"
"Nobody except the one you had all along. What was her name again? Sandra, Andy?"
Robert's eyes tear up, "No! Not Andrea!"
Dr. Malcolm comments, "I knew it!"
Ralph calms down again, "They only needed me, but she would have been the backup if things went wrong. But seeing she's not here, I'd say I'm the winner"
Robert yells, "Shut your mouth"
"Alright, but let's face the facts. This park has been done for since '93. InGen is dead. And I plan to keep it that way-" They hear a crash outside.
One of the other team members calls into the radios saying, "The Carnotaur is dead! But we have bad news!"
Dr. Malcolm asks, "What's going on?"
"It's out! The Tyr-"
Dr. Malcolm fails to hear the next words when Lex screams,"Look out!" The body of the Giganotosaur crashes down into the new center. Lex gets up on the other side of the belly of the dinosaur with Tim and Ralph nowhere to be found. She shouts out for her brother's name while Dr. Malcolm and Dr. Wu get up as well.
"Timm-oh, get your filthy hands off my brother-"
Robert stops her from getting to Ralph holding her brother when they see the Giganotosaur's eyes open. The creature glances around and notices only two bodies moving: Tim's and Ralph's. The animal turns itself over getting ready to bite and Tim tries to loosen himself up from Ralph's grasp. But, Tim and Ralph get picked up into the jaws of the Giganotosaur. Lex and the others watch in terror as the animal gets up ready to consume the two. Then, another huge beast, with a familiar roar, enters the visitor center and bites down on the Giganotosaur.
"Back up, It's the rex!", shouts Dr. Malcolm. Tim, falls out of the mouth of the Giganotosaur and slides down the back of the Tyrannosaurus that is clamping down its jaws onto the neck of the Giganotosaur. Tim slides off the tail and runs to his group that is standing far away from the two predators filling the room. They stand back in fear as they see Ralph screaming for a way out of the jaws of the Giganotosaur. The Giganotosaur tries to grab hold of the Rex and coils back in such a way that it launches Ralph, through the glass of the back of the visitor center.
Robert yells, "Let's get out of here!" Robert, Lex, Tim and the doctors run along the side of the visitor center and run out to find the other group members running in with dart guns. They hear roars coming from the building and a loud thud. The body of the Tyrannosaurus Rex collapses on the ground, still breathing next to a very much, dead Giganotosaurus.
