(Author's Notes- Sorry it has been a while. My family actually took a vacation to the mountains, ironically. I didn't get any ideas for this story, but only because we are so close to the end. Well, the results for the poll were interesting, but now I have a slight problem. I took the review votes and the poll votes and combined them- it is a three way tie. This chapter will definitely be longer, even though it only features three of the five teams. This could take a while…)

Fight For Life

Team 2

"Finally."

Lucario jumped onto the roof, only to find just who he was looking for. This might not be such a good idea after all.

Mewtwo is more than pleased. "You come to a fight with vigor. I like you style, because it reminds me of me."

Lucario is reminded of why he came to the roof in the first place; to fight Mewtwo. "Mewtwo, I am ready."

"Well it took you long enough."

Just then, Ness and Falco jump onto the roof; one on each side of the Lucario. Toon Link and Luigi join. Luigi takes the right of Lucario with Falco, and Toon Link with Ness.

A sudden energy blast from Mewtwo knocks all except for Lucario off the roof, returning the battlefield to one-on-one. "Your friends will be your downfall." Mewtwo then makes a force field around him and his opponent with ease. "Let me help you with that."

"You have ruined my vacation, and you have ruined their vacation, too!" Lucario states, obviously upset.

"What are you going to do about it, Aura Pokémon?"

That was the perfect pre-battle line, and Lucario knows it. He attacks using a combo kick Sheik taught him; Mewtwo would never expect it.

Mewtwo, of course, was ready for it. He simply grabs Lucario's foot. He could crush Lucario's foot, but he decides to watch Lucario spin around in the air, just for amusement. Mewtwo twists Lucario's foot, causing Lucario to spin around like Kung Fu fighters do in the movies.

Lucario stops himself on his side and makes sure to look at Mewtwo before doing anything. Mewtwo builds power. Lucario gets onto his feet and charges at Mewtwo. If he can stop Mewtwo from building power, he can keep Mewtwo at beatable level. If Mewtwo grows any more powerful than he already is, even power as great as Tabuu might not be able to defeat him.

Down on the ground, four friends lay unconscious on the ground from the blow. Kirby and Yoshi happily hop outside together. Kirby is instantly interested in his four friends lying on the ground. What happened? Are they ok? Are they so hungry they fell over and started to sleep? That happened to him once.

Yoshi licks Toon Link's face.

"Hey!" Toon Link sits up. "I'm not dead! Or delicious!"

A big boom is heard from the roof of the cabin.

Falco is next to sit up, followed by Ness. Ness stands with a desperate look on his face. "We have to help Lucario!"

"It's no use," Falco stands. "Mewtwo wants to battle Lucario, and Lucario alone. He would have made precautions just in case we got any ideas."

Ness asks, "Why shouldn't we try? If he made precautions, he was smart, because we don't give up! We are smashers!"

"Wario smashes whatever he steps on. What's your point?" This is more sarcastic side of Falco.

Ness scowls at the blue jay. "Some friend you are." Ness runs off around to the front of the cabin. Falco, Kirby, Toon Link, and Yoshi follow.

Luigi sits up feeling only half alive. He screams when he sees the giant fireball coming from the roof. His reaction- flee!

An explosion knocks Lucario right into Mewtwo. Mewtwo starts to squeeze the life out of Lucario. He is literally squeezing Lucario so hard that Lucario's life force is leaking out in invisible waves. Lucario takes his right hand and smashes the spike on the back of it into Mewtwo's hip. If the spike was any longer, it would be like a spear.

Mewtwo releases Lucario, but not kindly. Lucario is pushed towards the edge of the roof. To Mewtwo's liking, Lucario falls off the edge. However, he catches the edge and hangs there by his hands. Mewtwo chuckles maliciously to himself and walks to the edge, where his enemy hangs there.

"I can only think of one thing that would make this better." With that said, Mewtwo makes spikes come out of the ground beneath hanging Lucario using special mind powers he has mastered in his free time, and since he wasn't invited back to the Brawl tournament, he has had lots of free time.

Lucario watches as Mewtwo mercilessly lifts his foot to step on his hands, which would result in a dreadful death or serious injury. Either way isn't good.

A bullet comes out from the roof and hits Mewtwo's tail. Mewtwo jumps in startle and slight pain, stumbling back away from the edge. This slight distraction gives Lucario just enough time to pull himself up. He pulls himself up so fast that it is almost like he just jumped. He kicks Mewtwo in the face and lands on the roof without a scratch. Mewtwo stumbles back. Lucario didn't know he could do that. He can't wait for his next brawl with Meta Knight; the look in Meta Knight's eyes when he flawlessly-

Mewtwo interrupts Lucario's train of thought by kicking Lucario's legs. Lucario falls over sideways, landing on his arm. There is a loud crack and extreme pain. Mewtwo stands and jumps, planning to land on Lucario's other arm, and possibly the side of Lucario's ribs.

Lucario turns just in time. There is a scream of pain. Falco, Ness, and Luigi finally climb onto the roof. Luigi faints at the sight. Falco has to catch him before he falls off the roof. Ness is in utter shock. The spike on Lucario's chest impaled Mewtwo's right foot. Mewtwo's other foot barely missed stomping on Lucario's good arm. Mewtwo stumbles backwards. Lucario, using his good arm, grabs Mewtwo's right leg and jerks it back. Mewtwo falls as Lucario stands. When Mewtwo's foot finally loosens from Lucario's chest spike, Lucario is able to fully stand.

Lucario tries to simply walk around Mewtwo to get to his friends. Ness smiles. But Mewtwo is not so easily beaten. Before anybody can react, Mewtwo jumps onto his feet, grabs Lucario's neck, and starts to suck Lucario's life force. Lucario can only gasp; he can do nothing else. Ness, scared out of his mind, feels as if his life force was being drained from him, too.

Falco and Ness stare at the ball of light in Mewtwo's hand. Lucario lies lifeless on the roof, near the edge.

Mewtwo smirks, seeing the fear and sadness on the teenage boy's face. "Now, who's next?"

Suddenly, a blade stabs through the roof, nearly piercing Mewtwo's good foot. Mewtwo steps back in shock, but trips on Lucario's lifeless body, falling off the roof without so much as a single yelp. The ball of light, Lucario's life force, falls right back onto Lucario's chest, disappearing inside the aura Pokémon.

The sword cuts the roof in a circle. The piece of roof falls in, and Toon Link pops up out of the hole. He asks, "What did I miss?"

Lucario opens his eyes. Ness only stares, slowly becoming overwhelmed in happiness. A smile appears on his face. Lucario sits up, grabbing his right arm in pain.

Falco walks to the edge, looking over it. The spikes slowly disappear. The creator of the spikes is nowhere to be seen. Ness helps Lucario onto his feet.

"Now what?" Toon Link breaks the silence.

Lucario smiles. "I assume now we won't ever see that dreaded thing again."

"King Dedede?"

"No, the other dreaded thing."

"OH!" Toon Link just drops back into the cabin. Ness follows Toon Link by just simply walking into the hole.

Falco only stares at the ground, where Mewtwo should have landed.

Team 5

The door opens. "Pika pika!"

A familiar yellow face walks into the room. No more than four seconds after Pikachu walks in, he is embraced in a hug from his best buddy, Olimar.

"Hey yellow buddy! Where have you been?" Sonic asks, normally cheery.

Another little yellow figure hops in, just as happy looking as the first.

Nana is the first to recognize the little figure. "Pichu."

"No kidding, Sherlock." Popo comments, more annoyed than usual. Wouldn't you be annoyed if you were just flung off the back of an ape onto a couch?

Olimar makes the connection in his brain. He looks Pikachu in the eye and says, "So that's why you ran off! Why didn't you tell me?"

Pikachu just smiles. Olimar wouldn't understand; Olimar doesn't understand much. However, that's what makes Olimar fun, and his best friend.

Ike stands, just letting Nana fall onto the floor. "Should we get Zelda? I'm starved."

"I really don't care. I'm just glad Pikachu's back." Olimar is at the verge of tears. How could Pikachu do that to him?!

Ike takes that as a yes and leaves the cabin.

Meanwhile…

Link stares in utter disbelief. His jaw practically fell to the ground like a rock, making his mouth so large a bus could drive in. (Ok, that was a little bit exaggerated.) He didn't know those words were in Zelda's vocabulary!

Zelda, just finished with her rampage of fury, stands facing Link with a torn dress, a red face, and clenched fists.

"Hey Zelda, guess what?! Pikachu is back!" Ike walks up. "Oh…"

Zelda sighs, letting herself walks into Ike's arms. Ike, a little confused, watches as his arms hold Zelda.

"I'm lost, Ike."

Ike hopes she means lost in the woods.

Zelda takes a staggered breath. "Love is turning us into monsters. I just cussed Link out, like a villain."

Dimentio appears, a little offended. "Hey, some of us villains haven't cussed in our lives."

Link takes out his sword, but doesn't attack. Zelda is right. He puts his sword away.

"Please go, Dimentio." Ike asks. To his surprise, the jester simply walks away.

Link walks over to Zelda, gently pulls her off of Ike, and whispers to her, "Who else loves you enough to take on Ganondorf? Who else loves you so much, that even a fake statement turns him into a monster?"

Zelda looks up at Link's face. "You know?"

"You are too good at heart to do such a thing. I don't know why it took me this long to figure that out." Link wraps his arms around Zelda.

Ike exhales in relief. "I'm glad that's settled. If I can't even handle Olimar, then I obviously can't handle a girlfriend. You can have her, for now." With that, Ike walks off, leaving the two in the forest.

Only a few love-filled moments later, Midna walks up to see how Zelda is taking out her fury. She wants to see if Link will run to her for love.

Midna yells a bad word.

Team 3

It is very quiet in the living room and the kitchen. Meta Knight and Samus walk in from the front. Peach and Jigglypuff watch T.V. Wario eats out of the garbage can, surprisingly very quietly.

"Why is it so quiet in here? I feel like I'm in a murder movie." Samus says, breaking the silence.

Meta Knight watches Wario eat out of the garbage can. "… That isn't the weirdest thing I've seen this entire trip."

Peach and Jigglypuff stand. Jigglypuff stands on the top of the couch so she can see everybody. Peach waves with happiness. She turns off the T.V. with the remote.

Silence…

Samus asks, "Do you guys smell that?"

Just then, Mr. G&W runs down the stairs, on fire. He screams and runs as fast as Luigi running from ghosts. Peach screams. Samus instinctively hops over the counter and grabs a dirty pot of water in the sink. Meta Knight hops onto the counter. Samus whips around with the pot. Meta Knight grabs it and pours the water onto Mr. G&W.

Wet and burned, Mr. G&W lies on the floor like a piece of paper.

Peach says, "Mr. Game & Watch is like paper."

"We probably shouldn't have used water." Samus shrugs.

Wolf jumps over the railing, landing in the middle of the room on his feet. He smirks maliciously at his victim. "Serves him right. You used water on him, Meta Knight, you fool."

"He was on fire, Wolf! What else were we supposed to do?!" Samus yells in anger.

Meta Knight replays Wolf's first sentence in his brain. Serves him right. That's all Meta Knight needed to hear. He takes out Galaxia.

Suddenly, Wario grabs Samus's arms and holds them behind her back. Samus struggles.

"Wolf, I have to know; why?" Meta Knight's eyes are red, but his heart is sorrowful. Why would Wolf do such a thing?

"You are more stupid than I thought!" Wolf states. "Mr. Game & Watch has been helping you this entire time, and when I caught him snooping in on my plans, I knew why all my plans had failed."

Samus stops struggling, suddenly interested in the conversation more than getting out of Wario's filthy grip. All that she can muster is an inaudible, "What?"

Wolf continues. "Now that he is gone, I can finally strike my target."

Peach asks, "Which is?"

Without another word, Wolf reveals a poison dart from behind him. Back at the mansion, he is unbeatable at darts. He's never tried a moving target before. He tosses.

Even though the dart is going at exceptional speed, Meta Knight is able to deflect it with his sword. It hits the floor. Samus kicks Wario in the stomach, making him release her. She grabs the dart and examines it.

Samus can't believe it. Wolf is a villain, but why would he throw a poison dart at Meta Knight? Why would he throw a poison dart at anyone without first starting a fight? Nobody can die in a battle at the mansion, but if they could, would Wolf had already tried to kill anybody?

Peach has to ask, "What is it?"

"A poison dart," Wolf doesn't hesitate to answer. Jigglypuff faints. Before Samus can do anything about it, she is grabbed by Wario again. For someone who eats as much junk as he does, he has tremendous strength. Wolf takes out a few more darts. "And I've got more."

Samus is trapped by Wario, Peach is probably still confused, Jigglypuff has fainted, and Mr. G&W is down and out. Nobody in the building can help, so the only option is to run. Meta Knight doesn't hesitate. He jumps behind the counter. A poison dart hits the wall and falls into the sink.

Now the question is what side Wolf will go to. He could appear above, to the left, or to the right. The trick is picking a side that Wolf won't be.

Wolf stands and waits. He think the same question, but on the opposite side. Instead, he gets an idea.

"Meta Knight, Wolf is-!" Samus is cut off when Wario puts a dishrag in her mouth. Meta Knight decides to hop onto the counter with his sword ready. To his surprise, Wolf is nowhere in sight. Just then, a dart comes from above, barely missing Meta Knight's head. It bounces off the counter behind Meta Knight and falls into the floor. Wolf hangs from the ceiling in the living room, which explains why Meta Knight didn't see him when he looked up to jump onto the counter.

Meta Knight teleports using his dimensional cape. He appears by the door to the balcony. Unfortunately for him, he didn't teleport to the balcony. He doesn't wait to open the balcony door and run out.

Samus sighs in relief. She is relieved, until Meta Knight comes back in fighting an armored pink ball with a lance.

Galacta Knight and Meta Knight freeze in the middle of the room. They hold their weapons in the air, pushing against each other.

"Finally," Galacta Knight says. "You have finally showed yourself."

"How was I supposed to know you were on the balcony waiting for me?!" Meta Knight just wants to live to see the next day. He is already being chased by an angry wolf with poison darts, and now the second greatest warrior in the galaxy (the first being yours truly) shows up armed and ready for a battle, supposedly to reclaim his title. If it is possible for this situation to get even worse, it will.

Wolf decides to throw a dart at that exact moment. Lucky for Meta Knight, he wore his extra-hardy metal shoes today, so the dart bounces off his shoe onto the floor.

Galacta Knight turns his attention to Wolf while still holding his position. "What's that about?"

"I have no idea. He's out to get me for some reason."

Wolf becomes even angrier than he originally was. "Stop pretending you don't know, Meta Knight! You have been flirting with Samus this entire vacation! It is you who has been out to get me!"

The one probably most surprised is Meta Knight. "What?!"

Galacta Knight takes this opportunity to push Meta Knight and through off his balance. Meta Knight stumbles back, rolling a few feet. Then Galacta Knight realizes what Wolf just said, and is very amused. He has to turn around and think about that one. Meta Knight accused of flirting! Could this day get any better?

To Galacta Knight's surprise, it does get better. The strange jester and bean he talked to the other day are standing just outside cheering him on! It is official; strange or not, I like those two.

Meta Knight sits, practically stunned. Is it possible to be physically stunned by words? That was a first for him. He gains feeling in his feet just as Wolf tosses another poison dart at him. He is barely able to hop up onto his feet and dodge the incoming dart.

A giant whack is heard. Meta Knight jumps to avoid an incoming Galacta Knight. Galacta Knight bounces into Wario's bedroom. Meta Knight looks at Peach. Peach holds her frying pan. I round dent is in it. Peach smiles. "That was fun."

Wolf tosses another dart at Meta Knight. Meta Knight jumps onto the counter. The dart hits the wooden counter, getting stuck. Meta Knight asks aloud, "Where did he get all these darts?!"

Meta Knight deflects another dart with his sword. Galacta Knight takes Meta Knight's small distraction as an opportunity to attack. Instead of stabbing Meta Knight with his lance, he kicks Meta Knight off the counter. Meta Knight hits Wario's hand, making Wario release Samus.

Samus takes the rag out if her mouth first; it smelled like feet and tasted even worse. She kicks Wario next, knocking him back. The blow knocks the man out cold. Samus's next move is to take Peach's frying pan and knock Wolf out. Wolf sees Samus and grabs her arm as it goes down for his head. Samus drops the pan.

Peach opens the door. Meta Knight and Galacta Knight sword fight out the door.

"What is wrong with you?!" Samus starts this 'friendly' conversation. "Why are you doing this?!"

"The blueberry is the only thing keeping you from me." Wolf confesses with hatred in his tone. He starts to calm down.

Samus is utterly shocked, but her face doesn't show utter shock. It shows recognition. All this time, Wolf was trying to get her to notice him and forsake Meta Knight. Then Samus becomes angry again, remembering how Wolf treated the situation. "You are a fiend, Wolf. Your jealousy led to this! You should be ashamed!"

"How many others would kill for you?"

Samus jerks her arm out of Wolf's grip. "I don't want death; not for me or any of my friends. There has already been too much death in my life." Her parents, the baby Metroid, and all others who have died come to Samus's mind. Samus walks away, deep in sorrow.

Wolf looks at the glass back door. Dimentio and Fawful intently look at something… Wolf goes to check it out. Maybe some fresh air will clear his mind…

Samus looks out the kitchen window. Her mind is clouded…

"Miss Samus?" An unfamiliar voice to Samus says her name. Samus looks back, only to see Fawful. Fawful only points to the back door. He doesn't smile. Peach follows Samus to the back porch.

On the ground, Galacta Knight stands alone looking up. Samus looks over the side of the balcony. Wolf, Dimentio, and Peach look with her. Galacta Knight says, "I must thank you, Wolf." He holds up one of Wolf's poison darts.

Samus gasps with a sudden fear of the worst. She believes the worst, until "But you do know Meta Knight is immune to that particular poison, right?"

Wolf gets confused. "Then why did you thank me?"

"Because it created a window of opportunity for me. The dart may have not worked, but…" Galacta Knight only has to show his lance to prove his point. Peach is the only one to gasp this time. Samus sighs, knowing there was some catch.

Then there is another catch. "Galacta Knight, you stabbed a berry bush. Are you sure you're even ready for a battle?"

Peach squeals in joy. Meta Knight simply walked out of the forest as fine as ever. Galacta Knight shakes his head and sits down.

"We shall fight another day. Just let me finish my vacation first." Meta Knight chuckles.

Galacta Knight stands up. "I need a vacation." He takes off to the skies.

Samus can't help but smile.
