Chapter 26

The sky is turning dark and soon snow will fall. Tora keep staring to the outside to the night city with people walking while he's sitting on the back of the car with his cheek rested on his fist. He's wearing a very formal clothes for the special meeting he's going to have, he take out his phone and looks at it for a view seconds then he sighs,

"Are you waiting for someone?" Maki asked, breaking the silent in the car,

"...Sort of," Tora answers

"...Are you planning to run with her?"

Tora chuckles and then he leans on the chair,

"If life that easy,"

He stops when he spots the golden hair ponytail girl with her black ribbon walking within the crowd alone. Tora makes the car stops right away and steps outside but he loses her from his sight. He looks around but then he sighs and shrugs, he turns around to see a banquet of flowers in front of him,

"...Busy for a night?" Yuzuru asks,

Tora is shocks a bit when he finds Yuzuru behind him holding a banquet of flowers.

"Why flowers?" asks Tora while standing near the fence on the hills where they watched the sunset before,

"The first things come to my head. And are you sure it's okay for you to be here?" she asks,

"Maki can take care of those," he answers with a smile,

"You depend on him too much," she comments,

"Jealous?" he asks with a smirk and she blushes right away, "S...Shut up...!"

She looks away from him and he just smiles sweetly and the two remains silent for awhile, no topics comes up and so the two decides to just enjoy the moment.

"...My mother is getting better and they said my illness isn't as dangerous as she is and should be already healed completely,"

"Huh, we don't really talk much about your illness,"

"Doesn't really matter,"

"Really...? Because that illness is one of the reasons I can meet you,"

She blushes but then that happy feeling inside her gone completely when she remembered how she can be in that place, talking to him like that.

"...Is everything... no more but a lie?" she asks,

"Nothing but business?" she asks,

He looks at her for awhile before answering,

"What do you expect?"

"For you to answer my question,"

"Do I need to?"

"I want to hear it from you,"

"I don't want to say it,"

"Why?"

He looks at her and the two stares at each other eyes as Yuzuru isn't joking around and so does Tora, the two keeps staring to each other as if the two searching something in each other,

"Because I too, don't know the answer"

"...Is that a no?" she asks,

He smiles to her,

"Maybe,"

She sighs,

"Well, I shouldn't interrupt you with your life and... I myself don't know what to say so... I bid you farewell—"

"You know I love you right?" he asks and she stops herself from walking away as she looks to him, a bit surprises which makes her tilts her head to one side,

"...You know it's over right?" she asks,

"The engagement is already broken and you don't need to be with me, my family already owes your family for my return, you don't need to continue your act,"

"Do you still have your ring?" he asks,

"What—?"

"Ring, give me, now" he says, a bit pushing and for a moment she's a bit scares by how he demands it in the rough way so she gives it to him and then he stood there, right in front of her with a ring on his hand,

"All I need to do, is to make the engagement back on,"

She looks to the ring and then looks to him,

"You're the one who broke it,"

"It was necessary because if I don't, you will never return to your family,"

"Was it really that necessary?"

"Your mother needs you and you need to come home,"

"You could just tell me,"

"Will that change a thing?" he asks,

She then looks to her side and views the city from where she stands before looking back to him,

"I thought the one who propose suppose to kneel,"

"Yeah, I am not kneeling,"

"Even if I ask you to?" she asks,

"In other situation I will but honestly—" she looks to him with raised eyebrows and then he smiles and sighs before kneeling on the ground with a ring on his hand,

"Will you, Amekara Yuzuru, be my fiancée once more?" he asks,

"That's the worst proposal line ever,"

"Be the woman whom I shall love every day until the earth break apart, to kiss you and hug you, to smile to you and dance with you, to have children and build a family until we grow old and what left is but the world belong to just the two of us" he continues with a smile and a little bit surprise by it, she raises her eyebrow with a smile on her face.

"I take my words back," she says with a smile,

"You know I'm not done, right?" he asks,

She chuckles a little and then looks back at him,

"Can't believe you really kneeling,"

"Yeah and it starting to become uncomfortable can you just give me the answer,"

She raises her eyebrows at him with a smile on her face,

"Annoying," she says

"Arrogant, selfish, a player and a liar,"

"I hate you so much and hating myself for falling for you," she says and a genuine smile appears on his face as he stands and kisses her right away without any warning which surprises her,

"I didn't answer at all...! You know that—!" he hugs her tightly and buries his face on her shoulder and she lost on words right away as she feels his warmth creeping to her body even in the cold weather,

"I love you," he whispers quietly, enough for her to hear it,

He releases the hug and looks at her in the eyes before he kisses her, who lost for words, and then he kisses her forehead and her cheeks and finally places his forehead on hers while she holds his wrist as his hands places on both side of her face.

On that cold night she found another person who loves her.

Who loves her and will always be by her side forever until the very end,

To love and be loved,

As the feelings grows each day,

It's a short but somehow feels like a long journey.

There's many feelings involves in the journey, where she feels life shouldn't be that complicated but in the very end, she reaches the happy ending everyone carves for and she couldn't be more thankful enough.

As the vow they takes in that day, is kept by the two until the very end, for them to love each other even until the very end.
