One of Those Girls - Avril Lavigne
Kaito couldn't stand watching the girl flirt with Shinichi. Cassie was her name; a petite girl with bleach blond hair and something hidden behind blue eyes. She smiled up at him, batting her eyelashes. He smiled back. Kaito wanted to scream and cry and laugh, and then maybe hit someone. She was so fake. Even her face wasn't rea l- as covered with makeup as it was.
He took a couple deep breathes. It wasn't the girl he hated so much. He could admit that much. He had never seen Shinichi take to girl like this. It hurt. He wanted Shinichi's smile for himself; however selfish and crazy that may be.
Hello Again – Rockleetist
It had been a long time since Kaito had been beside him. There was nothing to be done, he supposed. Kaito had to leave to pursue Pandora. That was priority.
It was lonely. Kaito's touch had warmed him; brought about a lighter side of life. He never wanted that to end. Those grins – the genuine ones – and the laughter Kaito had brought into his world he still treasured. Some days he would close his eyes and imagine Kaito was with him, making mischief.
Never again would that be real. And yet, he wasn't ready to let go.
Still Into You – Paramore
It was their six year anniversary. Shinichi held Kaito's hand in his; their fingers interlocked. They were cuddled up on the couch together while Kaito went through their photo album. Almost every photo brought him into a new fit of laughter.
"Ah, look," Kaito said, pointing to a picture, "You tried to throw Hattori off by dressing up as Kid while I was there."
"You took a picture of that?"
"Of course I did,," Kaito said, his eyes crinkled in a laugh, "It was so sweet and you looked so cute!"
Shinichi shook his head.
"Oh, and look," Kaito said, "That's when I switched your clothes with Hakuba's. You look great with a deerstalker."
Before Shincihi could respond, he was pointing to another picture and yet another.
Shinichi smiled; watching Kaito's mirth. He know everything about Kaito. Memorized every wonderful detail. And yet, he realized watching Kaito point out all the moments they had shared, he always managed to surprise Shinichi. As the wonderfully familiar boy chattered, Shinichi felt his affectations bubble over. He kissed Kaito lightly. Kaito giggled in surprise and returned the kiss. He held and kissed Kaito, never wanting to let go.

What's In Your Bag?
Setting : Teitan High School. Shinichi, Kaito, Heiji, Ran, and Hakuba sit around the classroom during lunch.
Shinichi: Books for school, supplies for school, a detective novel, another detective novel – and a magic 8 ball? I'm going to assume that belongs to Kaito. A mystery novel, some clean socks for soccer practice, lipstick. . . Lipstick? Hm. . . This is Sonoko's lipstick. Anyway, I also have some tickets for Ran's karate tournament and, uh, Hattori's hat. Okay, why is everyone's stuff in my bag?
Kaito: I have some cards, handkerchiefs, plastic balls, handcuffs, various disguises, blue hair dye, pink hair dye, green hair dye, some bird feed for the doves, a priceless jewel, confetti – wait, I thought I returned that jewel. . . * looks around * . . .Which is actually made out of plastic. * ahem * I also have beads, smoke bombs, fishing wire, flowers, an aerobics cube, this thingamagig, a -
Heiji: We get the point. You're Mary Poppins.
Kaito: Oh, and an umbrella!
Heiji: … You're clearly not human.
Kaito: Thanks, Tantei-han. So, what's in your bag?
Heiji: Well, I actually have school supplies.
Kaito: If you would have let me finish, I have school supplies buried in here somewhere. * rummages around *
Heiji: My kendo uniform is in here. Some coupons for ramen. A couple books. . . That's pretty much it. Oh, and there's a picture of Kazuha is in here for some reason.
Kaito: Aw...
Heiji: What?
Ran: Leave him alone, Kaito-kun. How about I go through my purse?
Kaito: Go for it.
Ran: Let's see. . . I have some makeup. My wallet, of course. Oh, look, I ordered this pen. It says "Moori Detective Agency." I also have an old movie ticket to Sherlock Holmes. You'll never guess who I went with. Some snack receipts, some granola bars, my journal – oh, I forget this was in here! It's a picture of me and Shinichi when we were little. * laughs * He had just solved one of his first cases: The Case of the Missing Action Figure. It turns out the neighbor's dog took it. Mrs. Kudo took our picture with the culprit. * laughs again * I think that's about it.
Kaito: Alright. Let's see what you've got, Hakuba.
Hakuba: If you insist. My textbooks and school supplies, my notes on Kaito Kid -
Kaito: Uh, what exactly are you writing about him?
Hakuba: Everything. His height, weight, likes, dislikes, hair part preference, blood type, love interest, hobbies, lunch habits, bathroom schedule -
Kaito: Enough! I get it. * shivers *
Shinichi: *wraps an arm around Kaito, smiles weakly * It's the price of crime.
Kaito: *hugs Shinichi *
