As the wizard retaliators arrived in Magnolia to execute Natsu over a misunderstanding, the entirety of Fairy Tail was left immobilised until Natsu engaged the Retaliators inside his Chaotic Rift space. With help from Acnologia and Gildarts, the three have been left fighting the 4 retaliators and any other beings they can spawn! For the first time the fight is favouring the side of our Dragon slayers as Natsu had mistakenly accessed his Dragon Force and would use the incredible power to turn the tides of the fight!

(Inside the Chaotic Rift)

Natsu stood above the crater he had just made with his magic swirling at his feet, creating such an imposing presence that Annie had lost her control over her recent summon, Set, and the god faded out of existence after a few short seconds.

The retaliators had never expected to see such an overwhelming force from one man who almost singlehandedly wiped them from the face of the planet. There would be no more room for mistakes now that Natsu had managed to surpass any one of the members. It would take more than one Retaliator to take Natsu down which didn't leave much room for Gildarts and Acnologia who were still at the backlines.

Annie was concerned about the current state of affairs and how this fight had progressed. "The only person who might stand a chance against Natsu for a few minutes is X but even he alone can't kill him or knock him out. Our only hope is if X and I rush him together." Her plan was good on paper but she was going to run out of summons who are powerful enough to take on a Dragon Slayer who's going at full swing meaning that for the first time in a long time she would have to play her favourite little trick that had saved her ass several times in the past against foes which had proven superior.

But before Annie was given the chance to play her trump card, Thomas dashed backwards to put some distance between Natsu and himself and used his rapid Maker Magic to pull his teammates to a safe distance and given the time Thomas had just bought him, George was able to cast a small dome around Natsu that began to close in and compress his Chaotic Aura.

For a brief moment the 5 were locked in an intense stare, waiting for the opposing party to make the first move. Even Gildarts and Acnologia had paused to feel the intense battle between magical pressures happening inside the swirling void of Natsu's Chaotic Rift.

In a movement faster than Natsu could recognize, the seemingly mysterious man who was referred to as "X", had rushed him and thrown a piercing attack directly at Natsu's throat. Despite having no effect the attack proved one thing, that Natsu was facing an opponent with outstanding speed on his side.

As Natsu smirked and prepared to retaliate he felt a sharp sting in the back of his neck. "That attack! It has something behind it that I never sensed!" Natsu felt no magic during the attack nor did anything seem to linger around him. He would need to take more of those attacks or ones similar to understand it properly, but he was totally ready for that!

With as much strength as he dared muster Natsu took to the skies and drew in a sharp breath just in time for X to rise to meet him and strike Natsu's chest with his palm, preventing his devastating breath attack before it had even begun!

Natsu attempted to swing for a counter attack but X had actually jumped straight past him and simply attacked as he passed by. With X above him Natsu had the opportunity to take a steep dive towards that 3 remaining on the ground but instead flew face first into one of George's impressive walls of telekinetic magic.

His continuous failed attacks only served to push his anger and frustration to higher heights and throw fuel on the raging fire that was pushing him forward right now!

Hearing the rush of air behind him Natsu darted out of the way of X before he could reach him, however to close the distance between them faster X used the barrier from George as a springboard and catapulted himself towards Natsu at breakneck speed, but was met with a swift, spined tail courtesy of Natsu.

With X on a momentary halt, Natsu grabbed his throat and accelerated towards the ground once again, levelling out a few feet from the floor and smashing X's face into the dirt as he dragged him through the unusual surface of Natsu's realm.

Natsu heard a powerful blast just behind him that was accurately cancelled by Gildarts' use of Crash Magic that promptly dissipated the spell that seemed to be a very strong form of Lightning Magic!

As Natsu threw X as far as he could, Natsu turned to face his attacker and recognised it as Annie, standing in an unusual suit of armour that resembled that of The God of Chaos, Set. A god that had previously been dispatched. It appeared as though Annie was able to inherit the abilities of her summons and use them for her own gain!

"You think those Gods of yours have anything on me anymore?! I've already decapitated that bastard Ra! So who do I have the fucking pleasure of fighting this time round?" Natsu yelled across to Annie who readied another attack in her hands. Lightning began flickering around her with her eyes fixated on Natsu. A truly incredible opponent stood before her and she would not back down from something of this magnitude!

With X back on the attack Annie made her move and fired 2 huge lightning bolts at Natsu, who was able to dodge them and the two attacks went soaring past his head.

One thing that most combatants had forgot was that despite these being the most powerful magic beings on the planet in this space, all of the attacks were aimed precisely and rarely missed their mark. Annie was the first one to truly miss an opponent. But the miss was intentional.

Much in the way Makarov had opened the rift by creating a massive explosion, Annie had done the same! With Natsu on the human realm again he wouldn't be able to go at his full strength, all they had to do was push him and the others through!

"NOW GEORGE!" Annie screamed as the air began ripping through the Chaotic rift that opened behind them! The old man hit Natsu with one massive push that caused him to stumble before he created a horseshoe of magic around him that was attempting to drag him back

Natsu was kicking himself for not seeing it coming "They're going to die the second they're exposed to this much magic pressure!" He had to resist with all his might! Natsu channelled his raw magic into his fist and slammed it into the barrier! His magic was being rippled and distorted by the power of his telekinesis!

Thomas had started casting more of his irritating chains that were entangling themselves around Natsu's legs now that the Chaotic aura had been dispelled. The chains were thicker this time and not as nimble as before, but they didn't need to be for this job!

Gildarts felt panic in the same way Natsu did, but given that Natsu was holding back the 4 for now he hatched a plan so cunning you'd almost remember he isn't just an old man with lots of power! He gave Acnologia a quick nod and the two darted back through the rift, effectively leaving Natsu alone for the time being, not that Natsu was opposed to that though!

Natsu's feet were sliding now that the chains were in effect and continuing to tighten around him, seeing this Annie powered forwards and began pushing the back of George's magical barrier, pumping lightning through Natsu at the same time!

With his body now being attacked at every angle and having to resist such a strong force Natsu let out a savage roar of defiance as he increased his power further and further, only allowing himself to fail at the cost of being completely overwhelmed. Surrender was never an option for this stubborn dragon slayer but now it was even less so.

"I AM THE CHAOS DRAGON OF DESPAIR AND YOU WILL FEAR MY WRATH!" Despite his power increasing further Natsu was unable to hold the line and he was now mere centimetres from the rift that continued to bellow and howl with the pressure that was pulsing through the air. All of a sudden a pair of hands reached through and grabbed Natsu by surprise, pulling him back through the rift.

(Back a bit with Acnologia and Gildarts)

Gildarts and Acnologia landed on the floor of the Guild Hall which almost brought the occupants of the building to their knees with the magic pressure that the pair were emanating.

With their power output becoming drastically lower and giving Fairy Tail the opportunity to breath properly, Erza ran to the two "What is happening?! Where is Natsu?! The power in his sword stopped working and closed the small rift we managed to open" She was clearly in extreme distress but anyone could have told you that.

Wendy grabbed the older mages hand "Erza you can't move so much! You need to lie down so we can keep you healed." She was always the caring kind. Even with so much happening she knew her job was to keep Erza safe, so that Natsu can kick ass without flat-lining her.

"He's okay Erza, they're about to rush back through here to level the playing field but I have a plan." Gildarts then turned to Acnologia and pointed to the Rift that was still open "I need you to make another rift right over this one. When they come through Natsu's they need to fall right into yours. I'm guessing you can do that since you taught Natsu, right?"

Acnologia would have snapped his neck there and then if he hadn't been helpful in the past "Don't mock me human, of course I can. But what then? They know of that trick now so they can simply turn round and walk right back through." Acnologia prepared his portal for when Gildarts was ready with a reply

"Because they won't get a chance to walk again if this is done right. My Crash Magic can totally break down the portal you open so that it can never be reopened again! It'll be the way it was before until you let us out of that space."

Acnologia couldn't lie, it was a good plan. "Chaotic Rift!" His hand swiped through the air and the portal opened less than a millimetre above Natsu's and the pair leapt through from the other side where Gildarts explained the rest of his plan.

(Back with Natsu)

Natsu fell out of his rift but landed in somewhere he recognized as Acnologia's Chaotic Rift. He had been here plenty of times in the past for a whole manner of things be it a punishment or somewhere to train.

Gildarts dragged Natsu as far from the portal as he could before the Retaliators joined them and managed to put a good few hundred feet between the two groups.

The Retaliators were beyond confused as they had no real way to differentiate between the different Chaotic Rifts and were left assuming that it was an illusion of some sorts.

Below their feet a white magic circle began glowing into a blinding light until Gildarts snapped his fingers with a calm voice adding "Ring Collapse." Which effectively nullified any low to medium spells that were in the vicinity of the blast

Meanwhile Natsu was aware of only one thing. Where had Acnologia gone to? He turned to Gildarts to see if he had any idea but as if Gildarts had read his mind, he nodded to him and pointed up with his index finger. At this point the light had dissipated and the Retaliators also caught sight of Gildart's signal. As they craned their heads upward they seen a bright light, thousands of feet up. It was incredible that in an area as dark and unpleasant as this there would be a light that shone so bright.

But a light was meant to bring warmth and safety to its surroundings. What awaited them was so so much worse and Natsu caught onto the plan saying to Gildarts "Hold them off!"

With a powerful leap Natsu took to the skies, his wings propelling him at an alarming rate until he joined Acnologia who had taken on a more… fitting form. A massive black and blue dragon was before Natsu and the power coming off of it was puny, for the simple fact he was gathering almost all of his power in his tail

"This has to be one of my favourites if I'm totally honest!" Natsu took a sharp breath and tensed his body, using his wings to hover at the same height as Acnologia he began channelling his magic in his feet "CHAOS DRAGON SLAYERS SECRET ART: OBLITERATION INCATNATION SERIES!" And at Natsu's feet appeared a large magic circle, followed by a square and another circle before ending on a single, massive Draconic symbol.

Acnologia let out a powerful roar, as did Natsu and the pair expelled a power that almost completely destroyed their magic containers as they unleashed two solid beams of magic. Acnologias bright white and blue magic and Natsu's older black and purple magic began to spiral towards the ground, twisting and entwining into one single beam

"UNISON RAID OF THE ONE'S WHO BRING ANNIHILATION!"
"UNISON RAID OF THE ONE'S WHO BRING ANNIHILATION!" The pair screamed in unison

The retaliators caught a glimpse of what was headed their way and recognized the combination of magic symbols that Natsu prepared. "The Etherion Cannon?!" and even they had no response to something of that magnitude, especially not two that had fused perfectly into a single Nation slaying attack.

The beams struck home and there was no sound, no visual effect, absolutely nothing to see or hear due to the pure, unaltered destruction that the two had been able to cause. It was enough to totally collapse Acnologia's chaotic rift and forcibly spit the occupants out at random locations across the globe. Anywhere Acnologia had been in the past 4 or 5 months.

Gildarts was lucky enough to land bang smack in the middle of Fairy Tail's HQ, battered, bruised and bleeding badly but alive none the less.

Natsu was unfamiliar with where he had been shot out from but he was accompanied by something else. It was the head of Thomas, the Metal Make wizard. The wound around the neck was clean and had very little blood dripping out of it, presumable from the power behind the attack that hit him.

"Hmm, I'm guessing the rest of his body was caught in the blast, leaving only this behind." Decapitation wasn't a disturbing sight to Natsu and he even felt a slight bit of nostalgia looking at the severed head. A warm heat rushed through him as he bent down and picked it up by Thomas's hair.

He brought the cold ball of flesh to his face and looked directly into the cold eyes in front of him. "You'll serve as a lesson to the rest of the retaliators as to what they can expect the next time they come knocking."

And with that, Natsu found a nice comfy ledge on the side of the mountain range he had landed in and lay down to let his magic container fill up enough to cast a chaotic rift back home.
