Zuko entered the tent.
"Zuko," said Sokka surprised yet happy.
"Have you gotten word?"
"The airship was attacked at Whaletail Island. There were no fatalities," said Sokka.
"Who attacked?" Zuko asked.
"We don't know yet, but we're working on it," said Sokka.
"Hmm." said Zuko. "Is there a plan?"
"I don't know if you've heard about the rumors. There are theories that Katara could have the next Avatar," said Sokka.
Zuko furrowed his brow.
"I know that's a bit unrealistic, don't you think?" Sokka asked.
Zuko looked around to make sure they were alone and no one was listening. "No."
Sokka raised his brow then thought of all the adventures he went through and decided not to dismiss Zuko. "Go on."
"Katara doesn't know, but when Aang took over and defeated Yakone he told me then that Katara is carrying the future Avatar," said Zuko.
"I see," said Sokka. "Well, I won't tell her."
Zuko breathed a sigh of relief. "Should I?"
"She'll know when the time is right. Otherwise, Aang would have told her," Sokka replied with confidence.
"Thanks."
"You're welcome buddy. She is my sister after all," said Sokka.
"Were there any clues about the attack?" Zuko asked.
"Someone said there was a pai sho tile," said Sokka.
"I was never much of a player. Uncle said I didn't have much appreciation for the cryptic arts. But it could be a cryptic message. There may be other secret organizations," said Zuko.
"We'll find out once we have more information," said Sokka.
"I hope you're right," said Zuko.
After her nap, Katara worked on her bending.
Kya made lunch for her family. Sokka and Zuko came over for lunch.
"Smells good," said Sokka.
"Better than what you make," Katara said.
"Hey, I've gotten better over the years," said Sokka defensively.
"It's ready," said Kya, as she bent the soup into the bowls for them to eat.
They ate the soup.
"I'll have to have you make this some time," said Katara to Zuko. Sokka's jaw dropped. Kya was also surprised.
"Zuko, you cook?" Sokka asked.
"He does and it's good," Katara replied happily.
"I thought you had servants do that," said Kya.
"No, not anymore," said Zuko.
After they finished eating, Katara and Kya cleaned up.
"Zuko, there is someone I want you to meet. Come on," said Katara as she put on her parka.
Zuko put on his coat and followed Katara. They walked quite a ways.
"We're here," said Katara as the arrived at modest igloo. Katara knocked on the door.
A young woman with pigtails answered the door.
"Master Katara! It's good to see you!"
"It's good to see you too Senna," said Katara.
Senna welcomed them into her home. "Tonraq went hunting. He'll be sorry he missed you."
"That's okay. I'm here for my check up," Katara replied. "I also wanted you to meet my new husband. Senna, this is Zuko. Zuko, this is Senna. She's the healer has been watching over us," Katara placed a hand over her stomach.
They bowed slightly, and shook hands.
"Nice to meet you," said Zuko.
"Nice to meet you too," said Senna. She turned to Katara and said, "Whenever you're ready."
Katara took off her parka. Zuko took his coat off too. Senna brought a bowl of water while Katara sat propped up on a cot and raised her tunic exposing her abdomen. Zuko stood beside her. Senna bent the water over her hands and it began to glow. She placed her hands over Katara's abdomen. After a few minutes the water dissipated and was gone.
"They are both healthy and very active," said Senna.
"At different times of the day," said Katara. "Early in the morning or late at night."
"Any difficulty sleeping?" Senna asked.
"No, but we just got back," Katara replied.
"I see. I'd like to see you again in a few days. I'll come to you," said Senna.
"That sound fine," said Katara.
"Would you like to hear the babies heartbeats?" Senna asked. They both nodded. Senna used waterbending to form an elongated fetal horn of ice for Katara and Zuko to listen to that looked similar to stethoscope. They were able to hear the heartbeats. Afterwards, Katara put her tunic down, and they put their coats on and headed back home.
