Enigma on lined her optics, only to see red and then the red color started to talk. The voice seemed familiar, so Enigma forced herself to answer. But what did the red color say, she had no idea.
"Sorry, Enigma replied, what did you say." The red color bend down and Enigma saw the blue optics.
"Enigma, are you all right, you don't seem at it right now." It was then that Enigma returned to the world completely. "Sorry Dino, Enigma said, I was meditating and far away, man I did only see red and did not even recognize your voice.".
"What's wrong girl," Dino asked getting worried. "The sparklings wanna meet the world and the seams are getting soft the little ones are pressing the lids already, so I decided to meditate and wait for your return."
"Why did you not call for me, I would have come right away." "I know, Enigma sighed and started to heave air through her vents, you had an appointment with Optimus and Magnus I did not wanted to disrupt that."
'" How far are you," Dino asked while helping her from the berth. " About sixty percent, we still have time. I already told the guys the status so they could prepare the room, Ratchet is in the medbay and Hope is with Soundwave."
"I still think you should have called me, sweetie, Optimus would have understood."
"And have you here pacing around becoming a nervous wreck, no way " Enigma tried to smile but a gulf of nausea hit her hard, she had to sit down again and heaved air again.
"When did it start, Dino asked while rubbing her back, I mean being in sixty percent it must have been a while to get that far already."
"It began around four o'clock I told the team what I experienced asking if it was not too soon but since there are twins in that chamber it is normal, they have outgrown their little environment."
"You were at the meeting so I decided to meditate and keep myself calm for all our sake ,"
"Dino understood her reasons but was still a bit disappointed Enigma had not told him.
" Damn Dino there was nothing you could have done beside pacing around or be distracted at the meeting, beside Soundwave and the kids kept me company for a while, Hope and Nova are getting really close and Prometheus is a wise guy just like his caretaker Soundwave, telling the others what they can do or should not do."
"isn't there a way to stay here a bit longer,"Dino asked, "I don't know, our matrix must be there with them and maybe the other matrix's can help as well, because together they are a strong field of energy. The good thing is that all the matrix's are getting charged as well. But I am not sure that will be enough to get them to grow out of the pods, what if something goes wrong then we are to far away from Terra Nova."
"You are right, maybe we should talk to Alpha Trion and the drones about this they know a lot more than we do. I mean when Prima got the sparklings they were not on Terra Nova either so there has to be something different they did to let them grow."
"I know but Prima only had one sparkling at the time, we will have six all at once. so if you look for differences here you got one or lets say six differences."
Enigma got up and started to walk toward the door, Dino offered her a hand for support and she accepted she knew the pain would become worse the last hours so did not wanted to fall to her knees in the hallway, she wanted to keep her dignity and wanted to walk to the medbay instead of being carried or on a transport berth.
But at the door of the medbay, she needed the doorway for comfort the next wave of pain got through her and checking her programming she knew the little ones were trying together to break free from their tiny little world.
Dino looked at her worried, "Everything alright," he asked her holding her close to him. he hated it that it hurt her that much and it was only one chamber yet to get the seams loosen to let the little hatchlings out.
"Yeah I am fine it is that our twins are getting impatient and wanna leave their safe little box now."
Ratchet came walking up toward them, he scanned her knowing she still did not like that, "Sorry, old Cybertronian habit," he smirked.
Enigma did not care this time she needed to keep on concentrating on her slowly opening chamber.
Slowly she walked toward the room where the drones had placed the pods they had adjusted the light into soft blue the color of the well on Terra Nova.
They helped her on a special berth, this one was smaller she could sit down with a leg on each side and place her peed on the ground for support, the front of the berth was uplifted so she could lean her front to it and with a small plateau on it so she could put her helm to rest and relax totally while still sitting up. Dino sad behind her while Enigma opened up her back panels Dino could see the chambers, the main chamber had a glow over it.
From his program he had learned that giving the chamber seam a massage it helped to soften the seams even more and would make the pain subside a bit. When he touched it, it felt a bit strange like the play dough the little ones in the base had played with a few weeks ago.
Slowly he started to rub his fingers over the seam while Enigma let her helm rest and enjoyed the massage tremendously, the next time he could do that when they would mate again she smirked softly and started to heat up.
"Thinking of something nice," Dino chuckled, "I do, Enigma responded you are very talented in this my dear like to keep that in mind when we are getting warmed up for another get together in the you know what way."
"Shall we get these six out first before we start to think of the next group to create he smirked deviously if you go on you activate my nanites again."
"Sounds good Enigma chuckled, can't wait for that moment to happen."
"Maniac, Dino replied be careful what you wish for."
Alpha laughed, "I will make a note to start on more pods as soon as you two are out of here, I have a little idea you two will not wait too long."
"Is that wrong Enigma asked, I mean should we not wait for these six to grow before we start on the next carrying term."
"No, it is fine, it is even better for you, the chambers will not go back into their resting position and all the carrying programming will stay active, right now your program is telling you the term is coming to an end and is inquiring if you are ready for another term it will be up to you and your mate, soon you will see the program lighten up and the question will emerge if you want to go ahead if yes you will get into heat again and so will your mate."
"Definitely I will say yes Enigma smiled the pain is only one day and is bearable I have all the energon I need, good medics and a great team so I will activate it, it was too much fun creating the little ones and we do need the sparklings."
"Do not forget my dear that you will be the Prima Materna by then and will have a hand full, for you must help here and learn about the little ones, one of the duty's of your title."
"Don't worry, Dino said, I resigned today as master spy and opted Hound to be my successor in this, it is time I become a family mech and spent more time with the young ones here and the sparklings that are terrorizing this base already."
"You resigned your post, Enigma said gasping for air because a wave of pain went through her frame, why did you not tell me about that before you did."
"You once told me it would be my decision I am prime like you and creator so I must attend to my own creations here as well, besides I waited thousands of years for this little one, no way I will not see her grow and make her first steps in this world and if you want me to mate you again I need my attention on you as well the last time I hardly recharged so this time, I wanna take my time and learn more and explore more and I told Optimus that we were bonding so he starts the festivity."
"So that was what that important meeting was about huh, leaving me out of it all Enigma chuckled softly."
"As long as you do not ask about the details of the feast and let me handle that, you take care of the little ones here and I will attend to the feast and the sparklings racing around here and keep you satisfied at night or whenever I am heating up it will be fine."
'It does sound a bit like keeping the wife barefoot and pregnant Dino." Enigma sighed and heaved more air through her vents. While Dino kept rubbing her seam he noticed activity in the other chambers as well. it was still early in the ending of the carrying term but the others seemed to be activated as well, so he knew they would be here for a while.
Dino whispered in her audio's, " the other chambers are getting ready as well my dear and in answer to your need to hit the sack with me, I activated my nanite program."
Enigma smiled, "sounds good lover boy but do choose a nice place for us this time were no satellite can follow us."
Dino smiled, I know a place for the two of us my dear abandoned and empty with thick walls and no ears or eyes to spy on us. And where we can park our alt modes as well."
"I think I know where that is,Enigma smiled nice idea." "We will go there for our honeymoon as humans call it and we can investigate that creepy base Sideswipe mentioned we haven't done that yet."
Enigma smiled at the idea of getting out again alone with her lover, the Canada base was empty and the memories of the past had been put away deep in the back of her processor. The soldiers had created beds in that base while they were there and the thought of a bed instead of a desert sand bottom heated her up, "Hush my dear, Dino said be patient first we must get those little critters out. but could not resist in telling her through a com link what he had in mind, it seemed to help Enigma more than he anticipated the heat of her frame helped soften the seams on all the chambers, an hour later the main chamber was completely open and Dino could remove the first two little balls out of their old home and bring them to the pods.
Alpha helped them to stretch out their little limbs by giving them a massage. Beta was next he started to feed the first one with a little bottle like tube, she had golden optics and he spoke softly to it, repeating her designation and stroke her back the stress of the birth soon left the little frame and Luna could recharge blissfully.
Sirius kept looking in the direction of his caretaker while Alpha fed him, Enigma felt his optics lock on her and turned her helm, making contact for the first time. As young as he was he tried to smile at his mother, his dark blue optics made her feel he knew who she was and she smiled back at him telling him he needed his rest so he could grow.
Dino rubbed seam after seam, while another mech entered the room he had brought a box with him, Enigma knew what was in that box, the remaining matrix's. Dino took out their matrix and gave it to Optimus. The other matrix's started to hum softly and lifted themselves from out of the box and slowly started to dance around the matrix of creation.
Alpha guided them to the middle of the room there was a small glass tube where the pods were placed around it. They all entered the tube and kept hovering around the matrix of creation getting charged and would create a energy that would help the little ones in their pods.
Sirius looked at the huge mech who had placed his hand on his pod, for some reason he was not afraid of this big mech he could feel the goodness in him and trusted him immediately.
Optimus looked at Luna she opened her optics as well and looked at the mech too. Optimus was surprised the little femme had golden optics.
But Alpha helped out seeing the surprise in Optimus, "It's a sign this little femme is a carrier, Optimus, they are born with golden optics, to let us know who and what she is, in that way we can teach her from the start what will happen when she enters her mature frame and it does tell us we must build a frame that can support her talents and programming, building a frame for a carrier or creator is not easy and will take a long time for we must be precise, inside her she has a program that will tell us how many chambers she can handle that will differ from one carrier to another but we have time she is still young and must enjoy her life as a sparkling first."
"Will she act as a carrier," Optimus asked. "Yes that is why she must be thought from the day she leaves the pod she is in, if her program is strong she will join us to help with the little ones and she even might behave like a Materna and can fuss over the others and be bossy like her mother," Alpha laughed at Luna as long as she does not forget I am in charge here and is willing to listen to me as her teacher and mentor."
And what if she does not want to be one, Optimus said while he softly rubbed the velvet belly of the little femme I mean is that possible she wants to be something else."
Well it is the young Missy her self who contacted the program Enigma has, and downloaded it to her small processor her self. So this was her choice in the well, but if one time she does want to do something else we will not transfer the program when she enters a frame, leaving the program inside her sparkling frame but it does depend on how much she used it and downloaded additional programming, we will know if she is interested before she is a youngling, later on it is useless to add anything, carriers will always be born with the program for in it there is knowledge and it will also tell them what it means to be a carrier, it will also tell them they will always have a partner that will be there for them and they are always provided for .
Like the Allspark they are in a special position like princesses of a kingdom. And all young carriers will be born with Enigma and Dino and will be theirs to raise, while the creator mechling can be raised by anyone. It is a bit like a bee hive, Alpha said laughing but in that way Enigma can mentor her own daughters and we can teach them all they need to know."
"So this young femme is the future mate of Sunstreaker, Optimus chuckled.
"Yes Alpha replied she is the one but with her creator program shut down, she will be just a little femme to him and he will not try anything until she is mature and they both ask for the program to be activated not sooner not later."
"This little one must grow up like all the others without being treated differently, she will not be the only one she will have sisters. And beside being the creator femme they all will have a chance in becoming something they wanna be, the program is not their occupation it is merely a gift."
Enigma had listened with her optics shut down, enjoying Dino's massages and prepared herself for the others to come out. She was glad, the twins would have playmates and siblings she knew Alpha spoke the truth about Luna having a sister.
She started to help the little ones in activating the lid to lift, she knew it was hard on the little ones, her main chamber had two hatchlings which both pushed against the lid to open up, but the other chambers had one hatchling so she had to help out a bit. They were young but ready to leave the chambers, only when ready they would come out, so it was time.
Dino let his hand rest he had been massaging the chambers for two hours now and he could use a timeout.
Darwin helped him step down and took his place, Enigma felt his little fingers touch her chambers with ease and experience, it felt good her program told her that it would take another forty minutes and then all of them would be in their pods.
It was close to ten o'clock in the evening, her tanks started to rumble. Eli walked out of the room to get her some special med grade she needed her strength for another hour.
When he entered the medbay he heard a lot of voices and peeking into the hallway he saw many mechs waiting.
"The first two are born he said and the rest decided to come out as well that will take another hour or so, Enigma is weakened because of lack of energon so I will give her some med grade.
The first two are fed and resting. Luna has golden optics which means she is like her mother a carrier and Sirius has blue optics like Dino, darker blue but blue like auto bots."
"Will they stay golden, Sunstreaker asked Eli. "We don't know yet it is possible they will stay golden but it is also possible that the color may change later on or will have a extra color added, we have no experience with that. When Prima carried she never had a carrier sparkling so I cannot answer that question as of now."
"Can we see them when all of them are in their pods," Hound asked.
"Well if Alpha says it is alright you can see them but no more than two at the time and you must not touch the pods or speak too loud, they need to rest a lot and any disturbance and stress can be dangerous for them. I promise I will speak to Alpha about it but do know that if he agrees it will not be sooner than tomorrow. And I am sure Optimus is creating a video of the event so that will satisfy all your curiosity for this evening, he smirked and walked back inside taking the med grade to Enigma
She drank the med grade hungry and let it slide gently in her almost empty tank Eli gave her the second cube and this one was empty soon after she got the lid of it.
Eli tapped her on the shoulder, "how much longer dear, for you become exhausted Enigma looked inside another thirty minutes and then all lids can be opened safely the little ones are getting tired as well, those seams are damn strong and they are a bit early if they would have waited another week or two they would have been stronger."
"It was the activity I guess Eli said, they all went in the same time so if two leave or if a chamber shows activity of softening the seams it was the go ahead for all of them. but you are right the seams are stronger with them because they are two weeks earlier."
"That means extra care for the little ones Enigma sighed but I gave them the best so they will make it am sure of that "
"Do know outside there are people waiting Eli smirked and very curious as well."
"I am making a video Optimus said so they will be able to see what is going on."
"As long as you not zoom in on the chambers I am fine with it, Enigma said, they do not have to see all my innards."
Not soon after that she felt the nausea return marking the opening of another chamber. Darwin saw it and called Dino. he lifted the little one out of his chamber and handed him to Alpha, who rubbed the little one out of his ball position he checked the life signs and then handed him to Farrell, happy he could do something he fed the little one, as soon as the little one opened his optics Farrell called Alpha, "we have a creator here people," Wow girl you are productive."
Enigma smirked, "Don't forget the creator, Farrell he was very hungry in shedding his nanites and they were of a good quality too."
'I wonder who his caretaker will be, for creator mechlings are very stubborn and strong willed." Alpha said smirking.
"How do you know that Optimus chuckled, Ha Alpha replied, I only have to look at Dino and remember Vector that says it all."
"Thanks for the compliment," Dino said huffing some air through his vents while he handed the second little one to Farrell.
Within fifteen minutes all of the little hatchlings were in the hands of the caretakers, being rubbed out of their ball position and stretching their little limbs.
Enigma rested in the medbay after two more cubes of med grade, Ratchet would check her chambers in the morning. And he watched the footage Optimus had made.
All of them looked impressed at the site of the little femme and her golden optics, like the little mechling who was gonna be a creator one day. The rec room sounded like a beehive the bots were celebrating the coming of the little hatchlings.
Dino walked in with a data pad. I have some names he said, three little ones have caretakers here.
One we already know, for he sure could not be silent about that.
Apparently he is the caretaker of a little mechling with silver optics and that means the little one will be creator one day. Primus knows why that one chose him, he said laughing, so it will be up to you to raise him, lucky for you, your aft is ours and you have me as a friend so when needed you may come to me with questions. And having a creator brother it is obvious he will be in good hands.
Sideswipe looked surprised. Man I expected a little femme I even had a name for it."
"Well you have one night to come up with a new name because tomorrow you will meet him and once you meet him you must name him."
The other mechling has green optics and he will go to Elita and there is another little femme in the group and she has blue optics she has chosen a young mech she is jumpy and happy to be out of the camber and likes to chirp a lot."
"Come on Dino, Springer said laughing who is that young mech who gets the little critter."
Bumblebee, Dino said laughing, Bumblebee jumped up "No he said there must be a mistake I am not old enough to raise one, my room is not big enough either."
"Well Dino said, then you must leave that room and move in with another mech who is already taking care of a little sparkling and has room for two more."
Tailwind slapped him on the shoulder, "Dino gave away my question, for I wanted to ask you if you wanted to move in with me and Nova."
And with a little femme on your hands within a few months we can be a family you and I, I mean if you are still interested that is.
Bumblebee still had lost his voice a bit only kept looking from Dino to Tailwind.
"May I first get some high grade I mean I am gonna have a sparkling that is so wow never in a million years I ever could have dreamed of raising one myself or even see one ever,"
"Tailwind walked toward the energon dispenser and mixed some high grade for his lover.
Springer looked at Dino, "what about the last one."
Well we are careful with that one, he is very small and has not given any name of a caretaker yet.
We must take care of him a bit more he is alright though, just smaller than the others and it took a lot of strength from him to open the lid. For now he gets extra energy from the matrix's, we are not sure if he is just small build or has come up with a little growing problem. Ratchet and Darwin will check him tomorrow but right now he is peacefully recharging.
I do hope though he has a caretaker here amongst you guys."
With those last words Dino left and went back to the medbay, he saw his mate awake she smiled faintly and asked about the little ones, after telling her about the little one she smiled, "my dear that one is hounds kid."
"how did you know he did not give a name yet," 'Not to you but he was the last one and with his problem of getting out I had to talk to him and ease him up. He started to worry about his caretaker not wanting a weakling like him, so I asked him who his caretaker was and he said Hound, after that I could tell him that Hound would be happy to be his caretaker and would not see him as weak."
"So I can go back and tell him," Dino sighed relieved that none of the children would go to strangers. He touched her helm with his hand and walked back to the rec room.
Seeing him coming back they got worried something was wrong with the little one. But seeing him smile they knew there was good news.
"Hound, Dino said, apparently the little one had contact with Enigma before he left the chamber, he was worried you would not want him for he was not as strong as the others and rather small, Enigma told him you would be very happy to have him, am I right?"
"You bet Hound said laughing and I am glad all of the little ones stay here with us, except your twins and Sideswipes mechling of course."
"Well that means we have 6 sparklings here at the end of this year Dino said congratulations everybody.'
He greeted one last time and walked back to the medbay, he was tired but did not wanted to leave his mate alone, she had to move over a bit he smirked it would do his nanites some good.
