A/N: Sorry for the wait! Chapter 26
"So you mean to tell me that every villain we've come across in history has formed an alliance to overthrow the justice council?" Dennis said.
"Yes. The Justice league and the Titans worldwide are teaming up to stop them, because they are looking for world domination."
"Ok, that would be nice, but Superman wanted to kill me, and Victor's still trying to kill me."
"Join the crew." Beast Boy said.
"Focus! This isn't just a mission anymore. This is a war. Every superhero versus every super villain, to save the world."
Dennis strapped his bow and quiver to his back, and his swords to his waist. Then, he felt approaching energies.
"Ms Diana, Ms Dani, glad you could join us." Robin said.
"Now, what kind of people would we be if we let you go head first into this mission."
The legends came to the tower to not only join the fight for justice, but to also help the team with their specific goals.
"Now, while all of this fighting is taking place, the leaders of the alliance will be meeting in foreign lands. If I'm not mistaken, you'll fly right over it on your way to the battle." Danielle said.
"So, we need one of your strongest members, and one of high mental and sorcery abilities."
Both of the legends looked at the couple. Dennis looked around, hoping that they wouldn't pick him. The dark empath bumped his arm, snapping him into the current situation.
"My reason for saying one of the strongest is because there will be maximum security to guard the villains as they construct a mind controlling device, one so strong that it will control every mind, hero, villain, and neutral, worldwide. Even the animals are in danger. You two will have to fight your way through the island and stop them from constructing the device." Wonder Woman said.
"But...what if we don't make it in time? What if we're killed in the process?" Dennis asked.
"Dennis, you were trained for this."
Dennis stood back for a moment, just thinking about everything he's been through for the past week. His mom, and the legends trained him do everything needed to complete this mission.
"So that's why you had me at the mansion for a random training week? To prepare for this?"
Danielle held her head in shame for not telling the young warrior of her hidden plan.
"Yes. Your weapons, your suit, everything was for a master plan."
Dennis smiled and he said, "Well, why didn't you tell me sooner? I would have trained harder!"
The legendary heros smiled at the optimistic teen. The Titans all gathered around them to hear the details.
"This mission could cause one of you your lives, which is why you have to be on your guard at all times. The rest of you will drop them off over the secret location, while you all head over to the fight against evil. Raven, we choose you because these head masters, or whatever you want to call them, are the are the three most intellectual and prestigious villains in history: Braniac, Lex Luthor, and Bane."
"Now, don't think we're just putting you two up against them. There are four others, two other intellectuals and two other power heros. You all have one goal, which is to take out the three villains. Make friends, work together." Wonder Woman explained.
Raven snorted at the idea of having to work with four other brains.
"You will be working with Superboy and Miss Martian, both of Star City, and Wiccan of New York City, and Natasha Irons of Metropolis. Dennis, you might want to make friends Wiccan."
"Why? I don't even know the guy."
"You need to get to know him, he's your half brother."
Dennis went crashing to the floor, and Raven went after him.
"You mean to tell me I went my whole life thinking I was the ONLY child?!"
"Dennis, keep calm. You are the only child I had. Your father, however, he is a rolling stone. He and a young man by the name of Speed are the product of his raging hormones."
"I'll kill him! That two timing-"
"That is not your problem Dennis, now cool it."
Dennis stood up, his face was a glowing crimsom color from the sudden anger that surged through his body.
"Raven, I know that meeting new people is a difficult task for you, but if you can find it in your heart to give them a chance, it would be appreciated."
Raven had a determined look on her face.
"If the Justice League hand picked them, then I'll do my best."
While Dennis looked at his remaining weapons that he knew he would need, Danielle sat next to him.
"The hammer and axe, I've designed with a special button."
The legend pressed the button, turning them into small, metal bars that can fit in his cargo pockets.
"And these glasses aren't just any regular pair of glasses. They have thermo-vision, and night vision within them. You can switch them with the press of a button."
Dennis switched between the modes, then he switched them back to normal.
"Other people would call them PDSCC glasses, but since I made them, I call them MSTech glasses."
"Mom, if I should die on this mission, thank you for giving me life."
"No, thank you for choosing me to give you life."
Dennis hugged his mother.
"Oh, and I know that you will like these."
Danielle drew two machine guns with her powers and levitated them to Dennis.
"When all fails, these won't. Take care."
Without further instructions, the team got ready for take-off.
"Remember, Dennis, this isn't only your battle." Wonder Woman told him.
"Once you've completed the task, fly to Egypt and join the battle."
With that being said, their plane took off. While the Titans flew to the drop off point, the young warrior took the time to meditate and get himself metally ready for the extremely dangerous mission.
"I'm here Dennis. We are a team, ok?"
The hero nodded as he maximized his potential. As the team approached the location Dennis put on his glasses. It was still day, so he wouldn't really need them but to keep the sun out of his eyes.
"Wonder Woman to Dennis."
"Dennis, here."
"When you reach the drop off point, travel west. You will meet the remaining crew near an abandonded tech station." The amazon stated.
"Roget that. Over and out."
"Alright, Dennis. This is it."
"You guys be safe now, we still have to go see that new movie so try to make it home for pizza."
Starfire gave Dennis a really tight hug, and while she radiated her feelings for him, Dennis acknowleged them.
"You know, Starfire you're like that big sister I never had."
"And you as well, little brother."
Dennis jumped out of the plane and Raven took a moment to speak to her team.
"You all...are my family. So stay alive or I'll have no one but Dennis to be annoyed with."
With that being said, she jumped out of the plane as well. Dennis stood there, waiting for her.
"Wonder Woman never said that we'll be dropped into a jungle. Which way is West?"
The hero took out one of his swords to cut through the thick bushes and limbs that lie ahead of them. Raven looked at her communicator and pointed which way. The young teens started through the vast jungle, and the stumbled upon an old and run-down tech building.
"This is where we need to be. Let's get inside."
The two walked inside, and immediately stumbled upon a green female, and a rather muscular male.
"You must be Raven and Dennis. I'm Miss Martian, but you can call me Megan, and this is Superboy."
Dennis and the other strong teen looked at each other, both are fastinated and intimidated with the many similarities of each other.
"Dennis, huh?"
"The one and only."
"You must be the strong one."
"Bingo."
The two finally shook hands, while Raven got familiar with Megan.
"So, you're the intelectual sorceress? It's so good to be working with you."
"Thanks." Raven said, plainly.
Meanwhile, Dennis and Superboy stared at each other.
"Why is she gray?"
"She's half demon."
"And you trust her?" Superboy said.
"Trust her with everything I have. And Miss Martian?"
"Trust her with my life."
"Is she your girlfriend?" Dennis asked.
"That she is. And the demon-"
"Half Demon. And her name is Raven."
"You're quite a smart alec." Superboy said.
"Takes one to know one."
"Touche."
Meanwhile, Raven and Miss Martian had their own conversations.
"Why does he look like an ex-marine?"
"With everything he's been through in his life, he'll make marines look like goldfish." Raven said.
"Hmmm...you're mighty quick to defend him. You must be on the same team."
"Yes...and he's my boyfriend."
"Superboy is my boyfriend."
"Interesting. Dennis! Get over here."
Dennis stopped his conversation with Superboy to see what exactly Raven wanted with him.
"You can't interrupt-"
"Someone's coming."
Superboy and Dennis stood in front of the girls, prepared to strike anything that walked through the doors.
