It's not Monday, I know, BUT somehow the ending has snuck up on us and will be here possibly later today more likely tomorrow. You'll see why at the end of the chapter. Until then, enjoy what is here!
Princess Twilight Sparkle squinted at the sun peaking over the hills. Sensing several eyes behind her, she voiced her thoughts, "The sun isn't moving, and the moon hasn't completely set yet."
Spike gulped, "That must mean…" he went silent. No one completed the sentence for him. However, some toons had a few questions that the silence couldn't answer.
Skippy stepped up, "What does it mean?"
"The princesses have been captured," Twilight answered.
"I feel things have gotten a bit too dramatic lately. Sibs?" Wakko and Dot nodded. Together, the siblings snuck away to solve the problem. Not that anyone seemed to really care.
"Ooh! There it is! Dissention among the ranks! The best kind of chaos," Discord shook in glee, staring off into a nearby forest.
"Hold it there, Discord!" Applejack warned, "Remember what you said! You were usin' your powers for good from now on."
Discord rolled his eyes, tiring of telling the pony over and over again, "How many times do I need to tell you, Applejack. I am using them for good now. And it's not me who's creating this chaos. But I know where it is."
Twilight broke from her trance over the celestial bodies, turning to the draconequus, "You know where it is? That's surely where the others are."
"You've found Rarity!?" Sweetie asked excitedly.
"Is Newt there? Tell me he's safe!"
Twilight shook her head, unsure, "I'm not sure, but it's likely they are all there. I hope. Everyone! Gather close! Discord, I need to connect to your powers. Together, we should be able to transport all of us. Get ready everyone! One...two...three!"
And like magic, literally, everyone was in the same place at the same time. Except the Warners, the Brain, Lyra, and Bon Bon, as we still have yet to figure out where half of them disappeared off to. For now, back to the underground! Which is now very crowded and filled with chaotic energy.
Half of the inhabitants were throwing insults and accusations at each other before the number doubled. Ponies and toons alike shouted in confusion, the darkness very much not helping at all. Echoes bounced repeatedly off the dirt walls, enhancing the chaos.
As suddenly as it all happened, silence descended upon them all with a snap of a finger.
"Much better!" Discord, having silenced everyone for a moment, breathed in relief, "Now, my dear Twilight Sparkle, give us some light would you?" Being the only magical creature there with the ability to do so, Twilight created a ball soft light, placing it upon the center of the ceiling, lighting up everyones faces. As soon as it was in place, the young princess brightened the light, giving everyone a clear view of their surroundings for the first time.
As the Mime had previously assumed, the walls were indeed circular. The dirt itself was a dark, musty color. Not exactly wet, or someone would have caught the smell, but more very well packed down.
As expected in newly found light, Sweetie Belle ran straight for Rarity, Scootaloo-as cool as possible-made sure Rainbow Dash was alright, and Minerva strangled Newt in a giant hug, very unlike her personality, but also, somehow very like her personality. The toons, pretty much used to the whole "separate-come together" cliche, merely exchanged glances and nods of acknowledgement. Twilight and Applejack reunited with Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. And finally, Pinkie Pie is truly seen for the first time since she left Ponyville several days ago.
The ponies - and Discord - are stunned to silence. Rainbow and Applejack glanced at Discord suspiciously. Said draconequus simply rolled his eyes, crossing his arms defensively.
Pinkie Pie, now faded to a stone gray and hair flat as an ironed sheet stood, the Changeling pet hiding behind her. "Alright, I cannot hide any longer can I? Behold your true "friend" my little ponies! -(AN: Forced title drop! Woo!)- Never the bouncy trouncy fun party pony she played herself to be. I have shown her her true self."
Rainbow, instantly defensive of her friend, flew into Pinkie's face, "Oh yeah! And who are you? Get out of Pinkie Pie's body! Show yourself and fight like a real pony!"
Pinkie laughed, "Don't you see, Dashie? I'm not the pony you thought I was."
"Lands far away, creatures big and small…" Twilight whispered, recalling the prophecy she had read, "There will come a day, when many save us all. From the darkness, evil lurks awaiting. Ponies past harshness, won't be entertaining! That's it! I get it now!" She turned to her friends and the ever listening audience behind her, "I was right. That first verse is about you all! All of you that came from that spell! And the second verse, that's about you as well. You all save Equestria from the darkness! Here, under the ground, is the darkness! And evil was lurking and waiting. It was her!" Twilight pointed a hoof at Pinkie Pie, "The creature who has possessed Pinkie Pie is the evil. The last verse was a warning. Pinkie is the entertainer, and it was her harshness that was warning us." Her last words were directed to the toons, "It is your time now. Your time to save Equestria. Whatever it is you do, that's what you must do to save our friend. Please, I ask you one last time. Save Pinkie Pie."
"Sounds like a song queue to me!"
Oh look! Another villain who has more dialogue than Sombra! Not as much as Gak though! I was there for that...*shudder* So, suggestions on how the toons will cure Pinkie Pie? Anything, and I mean ANYTHING-nothing nsfw though, it's rated K+ guys-suggested will be put into the next chapter! Please leave suggestions in your reviews! Thank you for sticking with me in this, I'm very glad to say the ending is near. Don't get me wrong, I do love the story yet...it just REALLY needed the ending. And with all the spoilers we're getting for the 23rd on ALL spectrums, better get it done now versus later.
