Luna watched the door for a moment, then turned to Mr. Gilbert.

"We have to get out of here." She said trying to get him to stand.

"It's no use Miss, he'll be back any minute!"

Luna frowned, and shook her head she wasnt going to give up.

"Who is he and why does he think I'm someone named Alice?"

Gilbert sighed and leaned back against the saddle he had been left against.

"He's Mr. Harris' son and, Alice was his sister, she was a pretty little thing she looked a lot like you actually."

Luna sat back.

"What happened to her?"

Gilbert looked away with a shudder.

"He...he killed her." Luna' eyes widened in horror.

"They were playing in the creek, and poor little Alice was begging Chase to have a turn on the tire swing and he let her."

Gilbert rubbed his face.

"When she hit the water everything was fine and she came up laughing, Chase was behind her and dunked her under, only he held her under too long and she drowned."

"Was it an accident?" Luna whispered.

"No, Chase he, wasnt right in the head especially after his and Alice's mamma left."

Gilbert shivered even though the air was warm.

"He blamed Alice for looking like their mamma, and said that she would "betray" him too."

Luna wathced him.

"How do you know all of this?"

She asked.

The door creaked open and Luna tensed before a sharp pain pinched her neck and she went down into the darkness.
