The Grand Final
Chapter 26: Attack on Facilities
Although Titus had enemy forces off of it, battles in space and other planets continued. Everyone in Nicholas's group fought in most of them, along with the clones as well. Things were still going very well for Grace and Zac in the meantime. The love they had for each other grew stronger with every passing day.
However, things were about to take an interesting turn; not just in the war but for the relationship between Luna and Wolf. The lupine had been working hard to win the approval of the she wolf's parents. So far, nothing seemed to have worked. True, Janie, her mother was a bit more warmer to the lupine; but not by much. Michel still kept close eyes on Wolf, still not able to trust the mercenary. The younger lupine didn't give up, knowing there had to be some way to show that he was worthy of Luna. Even to the point of marrying her. Wolf had decided sometime before the war that the only way he would be truly happy was with her.
Sometime a bit latter a message was intercepted by Nicholas's group. They were on board one of the huge battle ships that was used to carry clone armies to places. These had been name Planet Destructors. It had come from General Skull contacting Krew and Alice about an attack on Edda.
"The clone planet of Edda will be a dangerous target," went Alice in the message.
"Just make sure you two hold up your half of the mission," said General Skull. "We must stop the production of new clones if we are to win this war." That was the entire message.
"Edda," repeated Nicholas. He and his group had watched and seen the whole thing.
"They're going to attack our home planet," stated Ringo. He and Aleta were with the vulpine and had been born and raised on the watery planet. Two other clones, a captain by the name of Rex and the other a commander named Kane were also there to hear the message. They were two clones that Star Fox had worked with before and had formed quite the friendship with.
"The enemy is taking quite the chance even considering this," said Fara.
"With all due respect, General, if someone comes to our home, they better be carrying a big blaster," replied Captain Rex.
"I concur with Captain Rex, Ma'am," said Commander Kane. "This is also personal for us clones."
"We'll make sure Edda is secure," went Nicholas. "Tell your troops on board here, they're going home."
"Yes, sir."
Meanwhile in space General Skull was approaching Edda with his fleet. The salamander was with contact with Alice and Krew.
"All is ready, General," said the collie.
"Good. We will attack Tipoca City first," stated Skull. That was the main city on Edda.
"We have the exact locations of both the clone DNA room and the clone trooper barracks," stated the lupine.
"Both shall be annihilated under my hand," growled Skull.
"OUR hands and paws General," corrected Alice. "Shade and Sakura assigned all three of us this task."
"But of course," responded the salamander. The transmission got cut off.
"Are the aqua droids prepared for phase two of the plan?" asked Krew to a regular fighting droid in the ship he and Alice were on.
"Yes sir," responded the robot. The two evil part Cerinians then walked up to a glass window to wait. As it turned out, the both of them had snuck onto Edda aboard their personal ship and were beneath the waves. It was known as the Trident. This vehicle was of the Trident-class assault ships and these been used during the last war in many space battles. They were brown in color and resembled squids when it came to the body. Each had a drill at one end, and four powerful mechanical arms in the shape of tentacles. For guns, each had eight lasers on it.
Meanwhile the Planet Destroyer carrying Nicholas's group had made it to the city. This was the place that was above the underwater one that Star Flight had visited many years ago. In the times since then, the cloning facilities had been expanded upon and now both the one above the waves and below served as a place for the clones that were grown for the war. A ramp was extended out from the vehicle to a landing platform that served as part of the entrance to the city. The Star Flight team, Ringo, Aleta, Rex, and Kane stepped off, followed by the rest of the clone troops on board. The species looked and saw Rizzo and his wife Lanal, the two ruler otters from Eladard approaching them. They had taken it upon themselves to help with the training of the clones. In addition Lance Tidal, the ruler of Edda and his wife Cathy were with them as well. The species who weren't rulers bowed their heads in respect.
"Star Flight and Star Wolf, welcome to Edda," greeted Rizzo.
"Greetings Generals," commented Cathy.
"I wish our arrival wasn't under such circumstances," said Nicholas. "We believe General Skull is planning an attack on Edda."
"But the blockade is far too strong," responded Lance. "They would not dare." He was referring to the Planet Destroyers that had been set up in space to defend the planet. "Still, we'd better prepare ourselves."
In the time of waiting, Ringo and Aleta spent time with their children who were here helping out in any way they could. The members of Star Flight and Star Wolf also did what they could. But this would come up with a few surprises.
"Seems like yesterday we were here and being shown around, huh?" asked Nicholas to Fara as the two walked down a hallway. They noticed a group of young clones heading off to target practice. That was a term given to ones that were fully grown, but don't have all the combat experience they need. Fully grown ones referred to the ones who have all the combat knowledge needed and were ready to fight.
"I certainly remember," answered the vixen. They then looked up to see Vincent and Linden talking in a corner.
"What are you two doing here?!" asked their son in shock. The older part Cerinians looked to see the younger foxes.
"Ah, Nicholas and Fara," said the older vulpine. "Nice to see you again."
"I'm glad you're doing well," replied the older vixen.
"Why are you here?" asked their son again.
"We were nearby when we heard about the attack from Rizzo," explained Vincent. "We figured we could help." They weren't wearing their Cerinian jewelry or weapons yet. They had that stuff in their pockets.
"Well this will be a first; all three of us fighting together," said Nicholas with a grin. "I'm sure you'll be a great help." The vulpine and Fara would then run into her parents, Grace, and Zac. They were also here for the same reason. Similar words were exchanged between them.
Meanwhile Bill and Fay were at the mechanical section since the poodle was good in that field. However, there was little that needed to be done there.
"I hope you're not disappointed," whispered her boyfriend.
"No, it's okay," she responded and gave his right paw a squeeze. "I'm just happy I was able to come here."
"Is that you Fay?" went a familiar male voice. Both her and the male canine looked up to see Ted and Alice, her parents.
"Mom, dad," stated the younger poodle. "What are you doing here?"
"Helping out here," stated the older male. He then looked up and saw Bill. "Hello… Bill." The young canine just nodded, figuring that it would be almost impossible to impress his girl's old man.
"It seems you two have been doing well," said Alice, while giving her husband a look to give Bill some slack. The mother poodle was happy that her daughter had found such a great guy after all that had taken care of Fay.
"Anyway, I'm sure you heard the news of the incoming attack right?" asked the younger female.
"We have," answered Ted. "We won't be in the middle of the fighting though. What about you?"
"That all depends on Nicholas really," responded Bill. "He's the boss after all."
"Well just make sure you watch out for Fay," said the older poodle.
Elsewhere Miyu and Panther were at the control room simply waiting for the fight to begin. "You nervous?" asked the jungle cat. "I am."
"I never thought I'd hear you say that," she responded with a grin.
"I may be confident at times, but this is a crucial battle. If we lose this, it means the death for all of us."
"Don't talk like that," Miyu whispered. "We'll make it out alive. We have to."
"You're right. Maybe I'm worrying too much." The lynx gave him a reassuring kiss on the cheek.
"I see she's able to keep your hope up," went a male voice that the two knew quite well. Both mercenaries looked to see Chad and Dianne approaching them.
"Hey there," said Panther. "What are you doing here?"
"We came with Nicholas's parents," answered the older female lynx. "We'll be here acting as medical relief."
"Sounds good," replied her daughter.
"You've done well keeping her safe," said Chad to Panther. "I'm glad you're going out with her." The jungle cat rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"Er… thanks," he mumbled. Miyu giggled.
It was like that for Nami and Cody only the conversation took place in one of the hallways. Finally Wolf and Luna were near the entrance to the city since the lupine had told Nicholas he wanted to fight instead of stay at the command post. The female wolf decided to stay with him.
"You doing okay?" she asked since her boyfriend was quite. He smiled at her.
"Just waiting for it to start," he answered. "Just make sure you stick close to me, okay?"
"Oh I will," whispered Luna and nuzzled his neck. The lupine then noticed her parents standing to the side.
"Hey… isn't that..?" asked Wolf. His girlfriend looked and saw them.
"Daddy, what are you doing here?" she called out to him. Both looked up and the older male tried to not make a face seeing his daughter with Wolf. Her mother on the other hand had a neutral look on her face. The younger wolves walked over to them and Luna hugged them.
"I see you're alright," she said. Michel lost his composure and hugged her back.
"I'm glad you're safe," he whispered.
"Of course I am," answered Luna. "Wolf's been looking out for me."
"Oh really?" asked her mother Janie, raising an eyebrow. The said guy nodded.
"I will protect her even if costs me my life," he went. Her parents made no response to that. But very soon, their attitude towards Wolf would change for the better. However there were some parents that could have helped with this and that was Dash's and Yuki's parents. They were fighting alongside Star Fox and the Hot Rodders.

It then happened, the enemy made their attack. Their ships came out of hyperspace, and were less than what the blockade surrounding the planet was. "Commence attack," said Skull after making sure everything was ready. Laser fire began to be exchanged between the sides. The command center at the city on Edda was contacted that the fight had begun. Wolf, Luna, Panther, Miyu, and Leon took off into space with some of the clones in ships to attack. Nicholas, Fara, and the rest of their team, the rulers who were on the planet and the parents stayed at the command center. They were keeping in contact by the ones in space by wireless communications. Grace and Zac were also with them.
"The fleet is not as large as I expected," commented Lanal as they all took a look at the battle from a map.
Meanwhile in space, Wolf and his group had made it to help.
"Good to see you Generals," said one of the clone pilots from his ship. "Ready to have some fun?"
"You know me," responded the lupine. "I'd rather be up here than stuck in a command center. Be sure to say close Luna."
"Of course," she answered.
"I think I'll torture them a bit before cooking them," hissed Leon.
"Let's show them what we can do Miyu," said Panther.
"Right behind you," she answered. The five and the clones began their attack, taking out the enemy fighters that were sent out. Some of the clones ate it and their ships blew up. As the battle continued, sections of the transport ships on the enemy's side were shot off and fell down towards Edda.
"Skull appears to be sacrificing his transports in favor of protecting his command ship," Fara pointed out.
"Something's not right," said Nicholas.
The debris landed in the waters of Edda. Attached to them were parts of Trident-class assault ships each carrying fighting droids with them. "Reinforcements have arrived," stated one of the fighting droids aboard the vehicle that Krew and Alice were on.
"Send out the aqua dories to assemble the assault craft," order the lupine.
Meanwhile in space, Wolf's group were focusing on the cruisers. The result was even more parts of them falling off and down to Edda. These also landed in the water. "I'm going to press the attack Nicholas," said Wolf.
"No Wolf," responded the vulpine. "It's too easy. Not even Skull would attack so recklessly."
"Nicholas, the battle's up here in space, not down there."
"The debris from the destroyed enemy ships is the key."
"What are you thinking?" asked Cody.
"I think I'd like to go for a swim," responded the part Cerinian. He took Fara with him to a small two pilot sub to check out the waters of Edda.
"Nothing as of yet," stated Fara as the vehicle dove down deeper.
"Only Nicholas could be worried about the ships we already shot down," responded Wolf with a smirk. The vulpine then spotted something.
"Wait a minute..." He tapped his girlfriend on the shoulder and pointed. She saw it as well. Aqua droids were using the guns on their arms as wielding torches to assemble the assault craft. These machines were like fighting droids only designed for fighting underwater and on land. Surrounding these were the Trident-class ships.
"Wolf, I was right," stated Nicholas into his communicator on his wrist. "Those downed transports were hiding ships for an underwater assault." There was no response. "Wolf, come in!"
"Hold it right there," went a deep mechanical voice. Fara and the vulpine looked to see that they had been spotted by one of the droids. "Don't move."
The non Cerinian immediately turned the sub back to the surface, but not before a few dories jumped onto the vehicle. They began to pound at the cockpit glass, trying to break it. One then shot at it, cracking the glass. Nicholas pressed a button on the control panel. The sub's cockpit became detached from the rest of the body and began to float up. But this didn't shake off all of the droids. The crack in the cockpit began to get wider as the machines continued to pound on it. The vulpine pressed another button, ejecting him and Fara out. He called out his Cerinian weapon and sliced at one of the droids, destroying it. The non Cerinian then noticed three stingray like creatures right above them know as Kaws. These could live in water or in the air and were used as another ways of transport on Edda. Both foxes grabbed one of the tails and climbed on board.
The wild animal broke the surface of the water, leaving the two passengers on it gasping for breath. "Thanks for the lift friend," said Nicholas and patted it on top of the head. The two then looked up and noticed that the Trident-class ships were blasting out of the water and landing on the roofs that made up Tipoca.
"Wolf, the city is under attack," stated Nicholas into his communicator. "I need you and the others down here now!"
"On our way," responded the lupine. He, Luna, Leon, Panther, and Miyu left the space battle and made their way to the city. Sirens were going off as all those who could fight were running into position. Metal shutters began to close to lock off the city where there were openings. These did no good as the enemy ships just used their drills to bust through. The clones and others fired, but the lasers didn't hurt the ships at all. Their mechanical limbs which had made it through the opening created by the drills knocked the ones firing to the ground before the drills opened up to reveal Aqua Droids on racks. These extended and the machines were deployed. From one of the enemy ships emerged General Skull who had come down from the fight in space.
"Kill them all!" he growled
The battle was also happening on the outside as well. Krew and Alice emerged from their ship with more Aqua and Fighting Droids. Meanwhile Fara, Nicholas, Bill, and Fay were fighting with some of the clones, repelling a droid attack in a hallway.
"There aren't enough droids here to capture the city," stated the canine. "They must be trying to distract us."
"I'll go protect the DNA Chamber," said Fara.
"By yourself?!" asked Nicholas. "That's risky to go on your own!"
"I'll be fine!" stated the vixen. "You need to deal with General Skull!"
"Okay, just be careful!" said her boyfriend.
"You as well!" The non Cerinian ran towards the room while the part Cerinian went to find the General. Outside in another area a couple clones along with Michelle and Janie were at sniper position, firing at the droids. The two wolves knew how to handle a blaster and were pretty good shots.
"Keep firing!" shouted one of the clones. "We can beat these guys!"
"Yeah, but how many more will there be?!" growled the male lupine as he shot down another droid.
"Sounds like you could use some help," went a voice. The four looked to see Wolf and Luna behind them.
"You're okay!" stated Janie to her daughter.
"Of course I am, thanks to Wolf," she answered.
"Droids! Behind us!" yelled the other clone. The younger lupine grabbed his girlfriend's parents and moved them out of the way while the younger she wolf grabbed a grenade from a pack the clones had. She threw it at the incoming machines, which destroyed them.
"Nice work there," stated the first clone to her.
"Are you two alright?" asked Wolf to Luna's parents.
"I think so," stated Janie.
"You risked your life for ours," said Michelle. "Why would you?"
"I did what anyone else would have," answered the younger lupine. "I couldn't let you get killed." The older wolves shot a glance at each other. The proof that this guy had changed was right there in front of them. They couldn't ignore this. Suddenly a group of young clones came out from a corner.
"What are you doing here?" asked the second clone.
"We got separated from our group," replied one of them. "They were taking us to the barracks."
"I know the best way there," stated the first clone. Elsewhere in another hallway, Skull was making his way towards the barracks.
"Keep firing! No mercy!" The droids with him did that as they picked off the clones firing at them one at a time. The last one figured he should go down with blaster blazing. But before he could, he was suddenly gutted by a Cerinian weapon. It was a spear and it belonged to Alice. She emerged from behind another corner. Krew had taken a different route and would meet her at the DNA Chamber.
"Impressive skills," stated Skull to the collie.
"Don't flatter yourself," she responded. "You may be in charge of this attack, but don't think for one second you are my equal."
"I wouldn't be so sure," growled the salamander. "Just remember to get the clone DNA."
"Why not just destroy it?"
"Because it could unlock new possibilities for us."
"Keep playing with your droids," said Alice. "Me and Krew will handle breaking into the DNA Chamber." She began to walk away, but Skull grabbed her right wrist.
"Shall I provide you with a droid escort?"
"My dear General," stated the collie softly. "There's nothing you have that I could want since Krew's filled that spot." He let go of her and the female walked away. Elsewhere, the fight continued onwards. Luna and Wolf's group made it to the barracks. Their they got ready for fighting there. At the command center, some of the droids made it. Rizzo and Lanal sprang into action.
"Surge, Poseidon!" shouted the male otter and from the jewel that was on his cape came his Cerinian weapon. It was a trident with the handle being turquoise in color, with two sapphires at one end and the other on the three spikes which were white in color. At the end of the staff, it ended at a point.
"Now flood, Marin!" yelled the female. From the jewelry on top of her head came her Cerinian weapon. It was a double ended spear, with the handle being white and the ends being the same blue as the one on her husband's weapon. The sapphires were on each end which had the shape of an arrow with the sides going down at an angle. They lunged forward, deflecting the laser fire with their weapons and slicing the droids to bits.
"The enemy is spread thin," stated Rizzo on his wrist communicator. "We must press our offensive now!"
Meanwhile Alice and Krew had made it to the DNA Chamber. They went inside and after selecting the sample they wanted from a machine, it came out of the storage area in a small cylinder. Krew grabbed it. They then sensed someone behind them.
"I was begging to think our presence went unnoticed," commented the collie.
"You two weren't planning on leaving without saying hello, were you?" growled Fara. "Arya!" Her Cerinian weapon came out.
"Deal with her," stated Krew. "I'll handle the DNA." Alice brought out her Cerinian weapon. The lupine knew that if the vixen was here, so was Nicholas. The wolf wanted to fight him and make him pay. Meanwhile Skull had almost made it to the barracks.
"Get those doors open and scare the remaining clones out of hiding," he said to one of the droids. Suddenly the doors flew open revealing Wolf's group who then fired at the droids. The machines responded back, causing the species to retreat. The enemy followed them.
"All too easy," commented Skull.
"Define "easy" general," went a voice. The salamander turned to see Nicholas. "Fists of Cerinia!" growled the vulpine and brought out his Cerinian weapon.
"McCoy!" snarled Skull and brought out his weapon. Fara in the meantime charged at her opponents who jumped over the vixen just as she swung her sword. Alice turned to face her.
"Lance Punch!" the collie yelled. From the tip of her lance came a beam of purple colored energy. It hit Fara in the stomach, sending her back and into the machine that held the samples. The fox quickly recovered and attacked Alice. Their fight went into the hallway. Krew just ran with the DNA that had been stolen. The collie swung at Fara who blocked the attack with her sword. Alice twirled the weapon around in her paws and jabbed with the other end. The vixen dogged the attack and swung with her sword which got blocked. The two kept pressing back and forth, not giving an inch. They two then came to a standstill.
"You've gotten stronger…" growled Alice. "More so than what Sakura reported…"
"It's been years since we last fought," Fara responded. "Don't think I'm the same as before!" Suddenly the collie rolled and kicked the vixen off of her. The enemy than ran after Krew who was waiting for her. The non Cerinian was hot on her tail.
Meanwhile Nicholas charged at General Skull and swung with his right fist. The salamander countered and the two exchanged a few blows, neither able to get an advantage before coming to a standstill. Skull then grabbed the vulpine's face with his left hand and threw the part Cerinian unto the ground. Nicholas let out a grunt of pain but then had to quickly roll to the side as his opponent stomped on the area where the vulpine had been. The enemy then picked up Nicholas and threw him up. The fox hit the ceiling and landed with a painful thud on the floor.
"McCoy, this city has fallen," growled Skull. "Your clone army is doomed."
"I beg to differ Skull!" shouted Nicholas and used the speed booster technique to get up and kick the enemy in the gut. The force was strong enough to send the enemy back a bit. The salamander let out a groan of pain of his own before running away. The vulpine quickly followed. Nicholas made it outside to a walkway, but didn't see the enemy. Skull was underneath it, using a magnetic holder in his gloves and boots to hold on. It wasn't until the fox made it to the end of the walkway to a center platform, did the salamander come up from the side. Nicholas heard him and turned to see Skull had brought out his weapon again. The enemy was twirling it around in a circle, trying to intimidate his opponent.
Suddenly a groaning sound was heard as a leg of one of the Trident-class ships came out of nowhere and smashed the walkway. This caused the platform to fall over to the side. Nicholas couldn't get a grip and fell off. Skull however was fine thanks to what was in his gloves and boots. The salamander looked over to the side. He didn't see the vulpine anywhere and figured he must have fallen to his death due to the height. The enemy cackled and then made it to a landing platform that was right next to what had been smashed. There was a ship that looked like a round capsule that was grey in color that had a few seats. Skull got the ship started and took off, knowing that the battle was lost. But if Krew and Alice got to him, they would have what they came for.
Just after the salamander took off, Nicholas emerged riding on the same Kaw that had rescued him and Fara before. "We've got to stop meeting like this my friend," he commented to the creature and patted it on the neck. He then flew on it to find Fara.
Elsewhere, the droids had been pushed back to the main hanger. Linden and Vincent along with Rizzo and Lanal were leading the assault. Both foxes had on their Cerinian jewelry. The male had a white colored ring with four golden colored gems on it and a bracelet with the same number and type of gems. Around his neck was a necklace that had a rectangle like piece of jewelry that ended at two points. Linden on the other hand wore a white colored heart that had four silver gems on it. In addition, the ring she wore was the same color and had the same type and number of gems. A bracelet colored white was on her left arm.
"Cerinian Sword," growled Vincent and from his necklace came a medium size sword that had a huge grey blade on it with a tiny section in the middle by the guard that formed a rectangle like hole. At the end of the handle was a grey colored spike. Linden flicked her right wrist and from her bracelet came her weapon. The blade was white in color and had two silver colored gems at the top and bottom of it. The handle was grey in color.
"Liquid Bullets!" shouted Rizzo. From his weapon emerged three dark blue colored spikes and were fired at one of the Trident-class ships.
"Water's Surge!" yelled Lanal and from the tip of her weapon came a beam that was the same color as Rizzo's special Energy Beam Technique. It flowed and rippled like actual water and even had some bits of it come off of it like droplets of water.
"Lighting Beam!" growled Linden. From her sword emerged an attacked that resembled a single bolt of lightning colored yellow.
"Sword Strike!" shouted Vincent. At the tip of his weapon, a green colored beam emerged. This allowed him a greater range with his attacks. The four part Cerinians used these on one enemy ship. The attacks made contact, causing the machines to lose their grip and go crashing into the ground or sea.
Meanwhile Krew was waiting for both Alice and Skull. The lupine suddenly spotted the collie emerging, with Fara right behind her. The two exchanged even more blows, still neither able to get an advantage over the other.
"Look!" exclaimed one of the clones. "It's General Phoenix!" Everyone nearby, including the four part Cerinians who had attacked the enemy ships looked and saw her fighting. Suddenly the rest of Star Flight, Star Wolf, and the rest of the parents plus Grace and Zac came out and saw this going on. Wolf's group had survived the barrack attack.
Suddenly Fara kicked at Alice, knocking her to the ground. "Now then, it's time to put an end to this," stated the vixen as her opponent let out a groan. Allen and Stephanie thought their daughter was being a little dark. They had seen her fight in the tournament. But this was different. The non Cerinian raised her sword to kill Alice. Suddenly Krew moved and stopped the attack with his weapon.
"Just in time honey," whispered the collie. The lupine then spun around and kicked the vixen hard in the gut, sending her flying back.
"I won't let you kill her," he growled. "But I will be glad to return the favor!" He took a step forward. Suddenly Krew moved as a fire projectile came from nowhere. Everyone looked and saw Nicholas standing there.
"And I won't let you kill Fara," snarled the vulpine.
"Nicholas… this time you're dead!" spat Krew. His left arm transformed like it had before, the mechanical blade emerging. Everyone who hadn't seen this was shocked. Alice went by his side and Fara did for her boyfriend.
"We'll be taking the DNA back," stated his girlfriend. Nobody seemed to notice that General Skull was behind these four in the ship he had acquired. He was watching, knowing that Krew and Alice wouldn't want his help.
"I don't think so," growled Alice. "We'll also be taking you two to Shade and Sakura."
"Not happening!" shouted Nicholas and charged forward as did Krew. They both met with a clash that seemed to echo throughout the entire area. They broke apart and exchanged more blows. The lupine aimed a stab at the vulpine that dogged and swung with his left arm. Krew contoured with his knife, stopping him. They then came apart and jumped back a bit.
"Slicing Vortex!" shouted the enemy and hurled his special Energy Beam technique at Nicholas.
"Spiraling Energy Ball!" yelled the vulpine. He countered with his attack and both techniques met in a clash. With a yell, the part Cerinian deflected the enemy's attack up and away. Krew was left in shock.
"How is this possible?" whispered Alice.
"It's simple really," answered Nicholas. "I've gotten stronger; strong enough that I don't need my release to fight you!"
"Is that so?" asked the lupine. "Well let's see how you handle both of us!" He and Alice charged at the same time, but the collie was stopped by Fara.
"You'll be dealing with me!" growled the vixen.
"You bitch!" snarled the enemy and the two began to exchange blows. Alice did a series of thrusts at Fara who dogged or blocked them before grabbing her weapon. The collie kicked at the vixen's legs forcing the fox to step back and let go of the spear.
"Lance Punch!" shouted Alice and launched her special Energy Beam technique at her opponent.
"Slicing Current!" yelled Fara and used her technique. Both attacks collided and canceled each other out. Meanwhile Krew and Nicholas continued to exchange blows and dodge the other's attacks. But everyone could tell that something was about to happen. Nicholas suddenly managed to punch the lupine in the face, stunning him. The vulpine grabbed the sample that was hanging on the enemy's side.
"We've got it back," stated the part Cerinian. "You can't beat me anymore Krew." The lupine managed to recover and charged with a yell.
"Too slow!" shouted Nicholas and moving fast, he stabbed the lupine with all of the claws on his weapon in areas that were fatal. Krew's eyes widened in shock as he realized he had lost for the last time.
Fara in the meanwhile blocked a stab from Alice. The vixen did a head butt which caused the collie to flinch. The vixen then yelled and stabbed the enemy near her heart. The part Cerinian reaction was exactly like it had been for Krew. Both seemed to fall to the ground in slow motion, their weapons falling out of their paws. Everyone was silent after seeing this. The lupine managed to crawl to Alice. Both were dying, but had to say something to each other.
"They…. got us…" the lupine managed to choke out. He coughed up some blood. "We failed… in this…"
"Yes…" responded the collie and grabbed his right paw. "But… you fought so hard…"
"If there's anything… I'm thankful for… it's that I met… you…" gasped Krew. Both of their blood was forming a large pool.
"I know…" breathed Alice. "Just like.. with me…" The two struggled to get closer to the other's face. "I… I'm glad… we managed to… love each other fully…. and all the way…" The others who were watching could tell that she meant that both of the dying part Cerinians had gotten very intimate with each other.
"Yes…" went the lupine. "My beautiful Alice…" The two managed to kiss for the last time,. They then broke apart. "At least… we'll see each other in hell…"
"Yes… we'll still be… together… My handsome Krew… I…. love… you…"
"And… I… love… you…" Their eyes held contact for one more second before the light faded from them. Krew's body fell onto Alice's who's head rolled back; the two were dead.
Everyone stayed silent after hearing this. Suddenly both bodies burst into blue flames like it had for Luke and Jan, leaving only ashes behind. Their weapons and Cerinian jewelry were the only things that were left. A wind then blew the ashes into the air. Nicholas and Fara walked over to where the bodies had been. The part Cerinian picked up the things left.
"So they were dating…" he whispered. "I never would have thought they were. At least they died fighting as warriors even though they were the enemy. They deserved to be cremated like that; they earned that right."
"Yes," answered the vixen. "At least they got to say that before dying. I won't forget those two."
"Neither will I." He then turned to her. "But you've gotten so much stronger like me. I'm just glad you're safe."
"And I am as well." Fara then found his mouth, not caring that others could see them. Nicholas just kissed her back as the others let out a cheer of victory. The battle had been won. In the midst of this, Skull left and made contact with Shade and Sakura and that the mission had failed, plus the lost of Krew and Alice.
"No matter," answered the coyote. His imagine was being projected to the salamander. "We may have failed, but we have gained information in return. Nicholas and Fara; they've gotten even stronger."
"That's not all," stated Skull. He reported the kiss he had seen between the two.
"You mean he's dating that bitch?!" exclaimed Sakura, not wanting to believe it.
"It would appear so," answered the general. "I saw it with my own eyes."
"This could be used to our advantage," said Shade. "We get her, we can control him and vice versa. In the meantime Skull, head back to our positions. And alert any droids you can to make their way to Sauria. They will need to assist in the attack there."

Everyone then met up in their own groups to talk. The job of repairing the damage was left to others. Although the one that really needed to be focused on was the conversation that Wolf and Luna had with her parents.
"I still don't get why you saved us," said Janie to the younger lupine.
"I did what anyone would have done," answered Wolf. "But since you are Luna's parents I care for you just like I do with her. Anything to prove I'm worthy of her." The two parents looked at each other with a knowing look.
"Wolf…" The older male stated. "We… we're sorry about how we've been treating you for dating Luna. It took all this time to show us that you really have changed for the better. And after this… you've proven that you are worthy of her. I now know that she'll be taken care of if she's with you."
"Yes," responded Janie. "Make sure to make her happy."
Luna just smiled. Finally her parents did approve of her and Wolf together. "I will do all of that and more," responded Wolf.
However, it was right after this that Nicholas got contacted by Krystal. The vixen said that Sauria needed help fighting the enemy who was attacking the planet. The part Cerinian brought the attention to both teams.
"It's crucial we go there immediately," he said. "That's a planet we can't afford to lose." Everyone agreed to go and Krystal was told help was on the way. Only the mercenaries and the clones that had come with them went; everyone else stayed behind. All four teams would soon see each other again.

Author's notes: Just a notice that since college will be starting soon, I will have less time to work on chapters. But I will do my best to get them out.
