Shout out to to jhanz0411 and AmethystGirly. Also, so sorry for mispelling your name, Fonix Girl, in the last chapter ^^'

I noticed the slightly pleased looks on the female student body's faces. They all knew that being banned from my favorite club was step one of running me out of school.

"Do you feel that?" I asked nervously as we walked to our homeroom.

"The cold icy stares?" Kadence asked nonchalantly, removing her headphones, "Yeah, we deal with them all the time,"

"Not these kind of stares though!" I whined, "The people who glare at us back at home want us to stay at school, we're their chew toys! But these girls…they…really want me out of here. There stares are much more ominous,"

Kadence didn't respond because she was distracted by her favorite boy standing outside of homeroom.

"Kaoru!" she squealed and ran up to him.

"Oh, good morning, Kadence!" Kaoru beamed with a slight blush, "How are you?"

"Great now that I saw you!" she chimed.

Kaoru had really made Kadence a happier person. I never saw her like this back at home.

Kaoru only blushed more, "So…I was wondering if you were open this tomorrow evening?"

"For a date?!" Kadence asked hopefully.

"Y-yeah!"

Poor guy, asking your crush out was really scary!

"Yes! Totally free!" Kadence cheered, "So where do you wanna go…"

Her voice faded out as another one took its place.

"Hey,"

I turned to see Hikaru who didn't look at all pleased to see me. His crude hazel eyes gazed on me in irritation, making me sweat.

"G-g-good morning…Hitachiin-sama," I greeted him shakily.

"You just had to go and attack Megumi," he scowled, "And out of jealousy too, you're even more pathetic than I thought,"

Ouch. Words hurt a lot more when they come from someone you fancy.

"And now The Boss has banned you from the Host Club, meaning my little slave can't come with me," he mocked sadness then turned to me in boredom, "But as long as you keep working. You brought the homework I asked you to do, right?"

I handed him the homework I did for him, Kadence had helped me with it.

"Thanks, at least you're good for something," he smirked and messed up my hair.

I felt my face heat up to the tips of my ears as he walked off to join his brother and Haruhi. He pat me on the head! OMG! So cute!

"He pat you on the head, OMG, so cute!" Kadence whispered excitedly as she came up to me.

"Do you think I'm getting somewhere?! Like, do you think he's coming around?!" I asked.

"I hope so because the faster he does, the faster he can stop working you so hard!"

"Yeah…" I yawned a little from all the late night work I had been doing.

"Oh, by the way, Kaoru asked me out on a date tomorrow night! But…" Kadence trailed off.

"Yes?"

"Well, I can't leave you home alone to do all of Hikaru's work!" she explained, "What kind of friend would I be?"

"Kadence, go out, enjoy yourself. You deserve it," I said sincerely, "For all the work you do for me, just being my friend, keeping me sane! You deserve a break, a reward I guess you could say,"

Kadence bit her fingernail, thinking over the situation. It was clear to see she really wanted to go but I also saw worry in her eyes for me.

"Hmmm…are you sure you'll be okay without me?" she asked.

"Yes, yes, yes!" I said quickly, "You're not my mother, I'll be fine!"

"Alright! Thanks!" she playfully punched me in the arm.

I knew she wanted to go on that date all along. Sometimes, I felt like nothing but a chore to her.

Slurping sounds echoed from the dining room as I sucked out the sugars at the bottom of my second cup of coffee. And yet with two doses of caffeine, I had barely made a dent in Hikaru's homework!

"I should've made Kadence stay!" I pouted, minimizing the essay word document and pulling up Tumblr.

But how could I? By the time I started to have second thoughts, she was spinning around in her pink floral dress, all dolled up for her date. The look of felicity on her face was one I couldn't bear to take away, so I let her prance out the door, out for her big night!

"And now here I am, not knowing what the hell to write," I muttered, still scrolling through my blog.

I never thought I'd be here, being a little submissive puppy to that jerk's every wish. If the old me saw me, she'd probably hate me. I thought drowsily. But I wouldn't blame her. After all, she hasn't kissed Hikaru yet! But even still, this whole Hitachiin-sama thing is getting really annoying and so are all the things he's making me do! But if I hang in there just a little bit longer, he'll stop denying and become the Urakih I know and love again.

I smiled at all the December nights I stayed up in my room, huddled up to my computer as I fought through legions of dragons with my Urakih. Those were some of the best days of my life, and I was planning on getting them back, but this time, face to face! For old time's sake, I checked the Realmz website to see what had gone on during my absence (playing the game brought awkward memories so I had quit for a while). There was a sale on the Steampunk collection right on the front page, one of the items being my steampunk wings. Resting my head on the table, I stared up at them, remembering the day he gave me those. My eyes slowly drooped as I flew off into a dream of mechanical wings, flying me high above the world of our realm.

The smell of coffee brought me out of my dream. I guessed the servants had made me another cup to keep me awake. But when I opened my eyes, I immediately shut them, sunlight burning them like a vampire's skin. Slowly, I sat up, barely managing a squint, and stretched.

"Good morning!" I heard Kadence say.

When I finally got used to the sun, I saw Kadence sitting next to me at the dining room table, happily eating her breakfast!

"K-Kadence?!" I gasped, "What time is it?!"

"Don't panic, we've got thirty minutes before we have to go," she assured me, "I found you asleep when I got home,"

"And you didn't wake me up!?" I screamed.

"No…why would I?" she asked confusedly, "You looked exhausted,"

"Because I still had to finish the essay!" I shrieked then turned back to my laptop, "Aw, shit!"

I scrolled through the unfinished paper, hoping that words would somehow appear miraculously.

"Just tell him it'll be late. They only take off ten points for being late," Kadence shrugged.

"Yeah, okay, it's okay," I told myself, taking deep breaths.

But apparently, it was NOT ok and I could tell this by Hikaru's displeasured eyes in homeroom.

"I'm really sorry but it'll still be a B anyway!" I tried to tell him.

Hikaru only smirked, making a cold sweat run through my body. That was his plotting smirk.

"I don't know, Rowan," he purred, "I kind of liked it when you gave me A+ papers. B's just don't sit well with me,"

"But you said…" I started to shout.

"Ah, ah, ah," he hushed me, putting a finger to my lips, making me blush and have several jealous glances cast my way, "I'm the master, I can change my mind I want to. So you can say goodbye to those steampunk wings,"

I froze, my blue eyes shrinking in horror.

"But…but…"

"Like I said, B's just aren't going to do it for me anymore," he sighed nonchalantly and sat down at his laptop, "Better shape up your game or I'm going to be taking more from you,"

In a frantic rush, I pulled out my own laptop and booted it up as fast as I could! But when I logged into Realmz, it was too late, Kazuli's wings weren't on her anymore. He wasn't bluffing after all.

Kadence: Uh...I don't really know where Rowan went but next time in Chapter 27: The Breaking Point. If any of you have wanted Rowan to give up on Hikaru because he's a jerk, the wait is over! Next chapter, Rowan realizes he just isn't worth it!

Sirana: About time too...

Kadence: You wrote her character! It's your fault!
