Dealing with the fact that the warehouse was empty without any information on what the foot clan was planning which caused me to be worry but those words that Hun spoke are what truly froze me to the core. I knew that Alex was worry and slightly fearful but she didn't show it or speak about it for the whole day I didn't push the issue, but Alex was being a bit more violent than normal which I figured had to deal with no information of what the foot clan was planning. She talked back to a few teachers but most of them figured it wasn't worth it because Columbus' Day was coming up this weekend it would give everyone a slight break plus today was, in fact meaning a long weekend.

As the day ended with us heading back to the back there was a slight chill in the air meaning fall was coming which was a great thing for me, the fall meant that it would crisp night air and falling autumn leafs. It also means that Alex's birthday would be here soon, Alex is a Halloween baby she was at the exact moment of midnight on Halloween which was fitting for her being a daughter of Hades.

"Come along Tabs," Alex announced from the bus steps. "Let's get home and chill."

"Coming!" I called rushing up the steps after her.

The trip took about ten minutes if that and just relaxing in the apartment until the sheared ring of the landline Alex shoot me a look making me groaned but got up and answered the phone.

"Hello?" I questioned

"Tabitha?" I heard back recognizing the voice as Chiron.

"Chiron what is wrong?" I asked. Alex shot me a look at the name.

"Yes Tabitha its Chiron," he said. "I need both of you to come to camp it very important that you both come to camp now."

"Of course Chiron," I replied.

"Thank you, Tabitha, truly."

With a simple click such ending the call.

"Well?" Alex questioned who was laying against the wall.

"Chiron needs us to come to camp ASAP." I replied.

"Why?" Alex asked

"He didn't say so we have to go," I started pushing past her to get my boots. Alex groaned out with an annoying wail, fighting the urge to roll my eyes. "We need to go and help Chiron," Fighting the roar in my voice. "Chiron who help you to become comfortable in camp."

"Okay…Okay." Alex muttered pushing herself off the wall and offered me a hand.

Zipping the boots up and ran over to Alex outstretch hand, shutting my eyes tightly as Alex pulled into Shadow traveling. Opening my eyes to see camp from the hill, rushing down the hill, with Alex walking slowly behind me. Half-blood camp was the only safe haven for demigods due to the safe borders, seeing the 12 cabins that were in a u formation. We headed towards the big house which was always painted in a lovely shade of light blue with the large wrap around porch coming to the entry way stood Chiron in his true form half horse half man, he was smiling at us but the smile was pained but he didn't want to show it.
"I'm happy to see you both," He said. Alex was on edge being in camp she wasn't a fan of it, even if Chiron made her feel welcome and comfy, some other campers could and would be cruel to her because her of bloodline being a daughter of Hades which meant she wasn't supposed to be born, but Alex refused to allow them to use it against her instead she used against them. "Come inside we have much to talk about."

I lead the way as Alex trailed after me, coming into Chiron office.

"So what is the 91l?" Alex questioned throwing herself into an open chair. "And hopefully it's not a quest?"

"I was just about to start talking about it." Chiron said.

"There has been a massive amount of reports of demigods being emitted to hospitals all around the city with various injuries many of them are injury greatly," He exampled. "I was hoping that both of you would not tell a soul about this but I would like both of you to find out who is causing these attacks and bring this information to me and I will personally have them be brought to justice with the justice of the gods."

"Of course we will help Chiron." I started at once.

Alex give me a look of slight annoyance but she kept her tongue still, she knew me when I said yes then I didn't stop until I had the answers I wanted.

"Thank you both," He said before reaching a series of folders each with names and information about Demigods who were injuries I figured. "These folders will help you if who to talk with thank you once again Tabs and Alex."

Alex stood up quickly from her seat, walked over grabbed the files.

"Come along Tabs." She said with a nod to Chiron she headed out with me running after her to keep up.

"What with you?" I questioned.

Alex didn't respond but rather kept walking, she was on edge but I didn't say a word. Walking through the barrier, Alex placed her free arm which I grabbed and allow her to pull me into the shadow travel.

Placing the files on the dining room table as Alex walked past me as she put it that she needs read something truly be told she didn't want to deal with it at the moment, so I started to work and look through the files to see what I would find on them. I open the first one which is a kid of Ares, Emmett McRoy who was in Mt. Sinai hospital looking at the photo he was every bit an Ares kid with large muscle ripping down his arms, were muscular themselves plus his with dark brown eyes and pig like nose with thick lips a crew cut of dark blonde hair, he was tall about 6ft and 2 inches plus he was a junior in public school 20500. He was in Mt. Sinai with a few broken ribs and a mild concussion. Placing the picture back into the folder and push it aside and pulled out another which said Rose Wayne who like Emmett was in also in Mt. Sinai hospital she is in the hospital with a lot worst damage with a broken wrist, broken nose, and a black eye. She was a daughter of Apollo with long shiny blonde hair with sharp green eyes, hawkish nose and lovely lips with an olive skin tone she was tall and lean a perfect runner.

"Perhaps we should go and talk with these demigods?" Alex suggested who was leaning against the wall.

"I think that you are in the right for once." I replied standing up and took Alex arm.

She pulled us through the shadows and appeared by the hospital, Alex allowed me to lead on this mission such walking to reception, and Alex was shadowing me in my shadow. Where a mid-aged woman was sitting in a set of green scrubs with jet black hair pulled into a tight bun with bored brown eyes paired with thin lips and a small nose.

"Hello, I'm looking for Emmett McRoy." I stated.

"What is your relationship to the patient?" She inquiry.

"A good friend," I replied.

"He is in room 602," She added as she typed on the computer waiting for added information. "Name?"

"Faye Potter." I stated.

"Here you go." She replied handing out a printed out pass.

"Thank you." I added placing the sticker on my shirt and headed towards the elevator.

Waiting for the elevator to open on the right floor.

"Rose Wayne is in room 606" Alex whispered in my ear.

As the doors open and headed towards the bathroom, Alex slipped from the shadows and come to my side. We headed towards room 602 where Emmett was there lay up in the hospital bed looking every bit bored and annoyed.

"What do you two want?" He questioned with a slightly annoyed tone of voice.

"We have a few questions for you?" Alex stated as she leaning on the wall.

"Chiron sent us." I added.

"Well, I have nothing to say," He replied. "So you both can leave."

"Really?" Alex inquiry as she pushed herself off the wall. "Say the son of Ares who is in the hospital."

"It's none of your business." He growled.

"And I would think that it would be embarrassing for you to be hurt so bad to end up in the hospital." Alex replied with a small smirk.

"Chiron wants to know who is running the fights due to the injuries and bring them to justice," I added. "If you give us some information and we will go."

"I'm telling you nothing," He ordered. "So get lost."

Alex shot me a look with a simple nod, Alex looked back at Emmett a sharp chill ran down my spine the room temperature started to dip.

"So do want to tell us something?" I question. Fear began to shine through Emmett's eyes.

"It started as a rumor that the demigod community had started up a fight club," He stated. "I figured it was a rumor but I wanted to fight so I went and started to win but I got busted and this is the reason why I here, now please stop this."

Nodding at Alex who stops the chill that was growing in the room.

"Thank you for the information I hope that you feel better soon," I added as we left the room. "You need to let me lead this and not take control of this mission."

"I did what I thought was right and you asked me to do it Tabs." She growled back with the growl growing in her throat.

"Perhaps we should use kindness with Rose and get more information." I stated.

"Go ahead." She shot with an annoyed look.

Coming into Rose Wayne's room to see her watching the TV half hearty with a large white cast on her right wrist her face was bruised that was painted in black and dark blue, a small amount of dried blood hung from her nose. Her shiny blonde hair was dirty but her eyes met mine, a small smile came across her face.

"I'm guessing that Chiron has sent you." She stated weakly.

"Yes he did," I replied. "What can you tell us about the fights and who is running them Chiron wants to bring them to justice."

"I remember that it was in a warehouse by the docks," She said. "I think it might have been number 14 or 16."

"Anything else?" I inquired.

"I had to give them a password I think it was fighters come or something like that," She answered. "It was at night time but that all that I could remember."

"Thank you for your help," I added. "I hope you feel better."

"Thanks," She replied. "One more thing please kick their butts for me."

"We will." Alex added with a small smirk.

That night we were getting ready to go to this supposed fight club, I had dressed in a pair of skinny black jeans with a grey tank top a faux leather jacket and paired with a pair of long black boots. I curled my hair slightly, waiting for Alex to come out. As she did she was dressed in workout outfit a pair of black capris with purple lines a black and purple workout shirt, a paired of black running shoes. Her hair was pulled into twin braids that were pinned to her head. She had a sweat jacket covering her chest.

"What?" She inquired.

"We are supposed to be looking for the people who are doing the fights not be part of them." I answered.

"Well It would work for us," She replied. "My reason being it would look better for us."

"Fine, hopefully, it will work," I added.

As Alex offered her arm, I slipped through it and Alex pulled us through shadows to the piers, watching and hearing finding a small group of demigods that were waiting to get into a warehouse, where a large than life bouncer was waiting. Tall and muscular where all black, who looks like he was ready to kill anyone.

"Password?" He growled.

"Fighters comes." Alex rashly stated.

"Welcome to fight." He said stepping aside and we slipped through.

In front of us was a large crowd of people mostly demigods but a few mortals. In the center of the place was a large circled ring with wrestler pad and metal poles with metal bars around it, where the foreman office was towards the right in the warehouse that had a great view of the ring. On the left side of the ring was a large bar with liquors seeing on the right was a betting spot and above it was a blackboard with names and odds writing in chalk. Alex disappeared from my view, as I looked around then she appeared next to me.

"Where did you go?" I questioned.

"Just looking around." She replied.

"Ladies and Gentlemen the first fight is about to begin please make your way to the ring!" A voice announced. A mad rush came through the crowd and everyone rushes to the ring, both of in this crowd brought to the ring. "In the left corner, we have Levi Fluke!" Seeing him a child of Apollo short blonde hair, warm brown eyes small nose thick lips tan skin. He was dressed in black and green shorts green shirt and black shoes. "In the right corner, we have Olivia Yee!" Seeing that she was a short Asian girl with jet black hair cut short with grey eyes small nose and lovely thin lips. Her grey eyes meaning she was a daughter of Athena. She was dressed in silver and black. Shorts, shirts, and shoes.

"Let's get ready to fight in 3…2…1 Fight!" The voice yelled.

Olivia jumped right into the fight with a swift punch to Levi's face, who countered with a dodge and a swift kick at Olivia's knees, who crashed to the ground all well everyone was cheering, shouting, and yelling out. Olivia was up within seconds and aim a knee into Levi privates who crashed to the ground with a thud and sharp gasp of air. That when Olivia punched him in the face with a loud crash such meaning his nose was broken seeing the blood crushed me to see how bloody these fights were. "And like that Olivia has won the fight."

The crowd around us screamed and cheered at this fight, which made me sick to my guts.

"The next fight will start in a few minutes I need Edward Aster and Lucy Sinclair to come to the ring!" The voice called.

Glancing at Alex with a large annoyance face, "You didn't?" I questioned.

"I did, hold my coat." She said handing over the coat and headed through the crowd.

"We have a new comer tonight Miss. Lucy Sinclair!" The voice shouted as Alex stood at the ready to fight. "In the left corner, we have an all-time favorite Edward Aster!"

Seeing her foe, who was tall and muscular with auburn hair that was slicked back with sharp features, cold and means green eyes, hawks like nose and thin lips. Dressed in all black with a hint of red. People were cheering at Edward and there were some others were booing at Alex. Fear was slipping through me,

"3…2…1 Fight!" The voice shouted and Edward started the fight with a swift punch towards Alex gut who jump out of the way, for each punch or kick that Edward throws or swing Alex dodged. "She is making him use all of his energy so she can beat him painlessly." I thought.

Alex waiting for the right moment to strike and did so by throwing an even timed punch which took Edward to the ground of the ring, she landed on top on him and gave him another punch and won the match. Which shock many of the crowds. "Well, Lucy Sinclair, Ladies and Gentlemen have won this match!"

Alex stood up and gave a wave, as she left the ring, where I gave her that jacket back in which she threw on to warm herself back up.

"Hey, the boss wants to see you two!" A deep voice called from our right. Looking to see a middle aged guy with a face that could rival a rat wearing something you might see in an old gangster movie and a hairline that was disappearing.

"Why?" Alex inquiry not trusting his guy he did look like someone not to trust.

"Like I said the boss wants to see you too," He replied. "We can either do it peacefully or we can do it the hard way your choice?"

Alex shot me a look to be ready to move if needed.

"We're coming," Alex announced. "Can I please get a washcloth for my hand to wash off this blood?"

"I can get that for you." He added.

"Great, don't want to shake hand with the boss with blood on my hand." Alex replied.

Trailing after this guy to the foreman office, going up the stairs, he handed her a rag.

"Here you go." He said.

"Thank you." She replied gripping it and started to wipe the blood from her hand which painted the rag a sharp red color.

The guy that lead us up knocked on the foreman door with a grim and tough voice replied with "Let them in," The guy opens the door and waved us in. Walking in slightly fearful not knowing who was in this office. The office was makeshift, to say the least. With a large desk in the back of the room a large chair. "So you are the one that took out Edward an all-time favorite." Creeping came from the chair and swung around suddenly a figure appeared in the chair. An older man with short salt and pepper hair trim nearly. Large brown eyes with a pair of square face glasses, dressed in a finely made suit. "What do you have to say about it?"

"I was fighting to keep myself alive." Alex responded.

"Yes, yes an understandable answer," He replied. "The reason that I brought you both here is to ask if you both might come back to the fight."

"Perhaps." Alex stated crossing her arms making herself look and seem tougher."

"If you do you must not tell a soul about these fights," The boss added. "I would like a swear on the river Styx."

"Sorry can't do that," Alex responded with. "How do I know that you won't kill me even after I swear plus I'm not going to swear for something that will be for a short time offer?"

"I understand." The boss said. "But you have got me something that meant you won't go telling."

"I can promise that I won't tell a soul." She replied with.

"And your friend?" He questioned

"She is a neuter party in this." She stated.

"Understood." He said. "If you two do come back you will be welcome."

"Thank you." Alex said with a slight bow of the head, before grabbing my hand and made a speedy exit.

Coming home, Mom was sleeping thank the gods.

"Are you crazy?" I questioned as I checked Alex for any bad injuries.

"Yeah but this work for us." Alex replied with a slight smirk. "I mean when I'm fighting you can get more information on who running this fights for Chiron."

"You're crazy you know that right?" I excused.

"I don't think I am." She replied. "I mean it will possibly work for us."

"I don't think it will work," I started fighting the urge to groan out at the dumpish of Alex it wouldn't work.

"Have a little faith Tabs." She responded with.

"Well, I don't have faith in this plan," I stated. "I think it's going to blow up in your face and someone is going to get killed."

"Keep your voice low we don't need to wake up mom." She whispered sharply. "Well, I'm going to take a shower then going to bed."

"Just make sure you don't crash into the tiled wall." I growled knowing the annoyance was coming through.

Alex just rolled her eyes at me and walked out of the room, Alex could be just too reckless for her own good. Writing the new information that I was able to find about the fights, getting it down and going to send it to Chiron in the morning, thankfully tomorrow was Sunday I'll be able to get some rest and tomorrow Alex would be able to sleep off the fight and be lazy. Changing into my pajamas which were a pair of black cotton pants with a mint green t-shirt. Listening to tell if Alex had hit the wall thankfully that wasn't the case as the shower water turned off. She came in, freshly clean in a fresh white towel. She nodded at me before changing into her pajamas, she gave me a look as she brushed through her hair.

"I'm going to bed see you in the morning." She added before crashing on her bed comforters.

I chose to keep it to myself, and headed to the bathroom did my nighttime routine washing face, brushed teeth. Heading back to the room to see Alex was sleeping soundly, unmaking my bed and slipped in with sleep overtaking me within seconds.

The morning came sooner than thought, I woke up to Alex slight snore but she didn't move, shaking my head and got up and headed out of the room to see if mom was up, hearing the whistle from the kettle meaning that Mom was up and awake.

"Morning," I announced myself.

She turned and smiled at me, "Good morning what time did you and Alex get in?"

"I think it might have been eleven or midnight not sure." I replied walking past her heading for the sink to grab a glass of water.

"I'm guessing the Alex is still sleeping?" She inquiry.

"Yes, she needs the sleep she's beat." I added.

"Just let her sleep it off," Mom said. "I'm just happy she is getting some sleep."

"Same here." I replied.

Waiting for Alex to wake up for a pain in the butt, she did wake up around noon, as she came out of the bedroom looking like she had been in a cave which she loves to sleep in.

"Enjoy your sleep?" I questioned looking up from my book for homework.

"You know it." She added, walking past me to the kitchen to grab a peach, washing and started to chew. "What are your thoughts about the fights?" I inquiry.

"That you do the looking around while I fight." She replied with.

"I don't want you to be killed." I added.

"I'll be fine Tabs." She replied.

A week had gone by and it was Saturday night and we were going back to the fights, she was dressed in the same outfit as for me I was dressed in black jeans and dark purple to show my support of Alex as Lucy. The same with the shoes choosing to wear converses that hid one of my many lock picking set. Wearing a hooded jacket that looks nice. Coming back to the pier to see the same bouncer, with the same password and headed in, the same guy that brought us to meet the boss nodded at us. Alex wanders off to get sign up for a fight. I knew that Alex was going to give them a show which would be the best time for me to sneak for more information. Alex had impaled that she was going to cause an issue.

"Ladies and Gentlemen it's time to fight!" The voice announced.

A mad rush of people to the ring, including the enforcer and some of the man I catch sight of the boss was watching this fight. I was hiding in the crowd waiting for the right moment to get up the stairs to where the information is. "We have in the right corner Lucy Sinclair," Alex stood right to fight. "And on the left, we have Asher Williamson." Seeing the foe who was someone who is the same age as Alex and I with red hair cut short with brown eyes with hawk nose full lips he was dressed in black and grey shorts, grey workout shirt, black shoes. By the look of him, I would say he was nearly a kid of Hephaestus or a kid of Apollo due to his muscular arms and tan skin. Fear was slipping through me because he seems like a tough fighter. "3…2…1 Fight!"

Asher shot out of the gate with a swift punch to Alex's face, she dropped to ground fear slipped through me, but I waited to see what would happen. Alex was still on the ground as Asher came closer, she threw out a swift kick to Asher's crotch, who fall back.

"Really I thought boys were told to wear a cup" She teased at the pain filled form of Asher.

She wrinkled her nose twice which was my signal to move, within seconds the warehouse was painted black. "Maia." I whispered flying up to the office, an ear piercing roar rang through the warehouse, a massive amount of screams, and finding the door to be unlocked slipping in picking at the random of a drawer finding it to be lock, slipped the lock pits and speedily unlocking it pulling out a folder at random to find the information that I looking for, look like the main people who were getting the most payout are some older demigods a list of names were next to it. Grabbing the folder and slipped into the back of my shirt and into my waistband of my jeans. Closing the draw and relocking it and somehow making it out safe and sound. Making to the crowd as the lights came back on with Alex's being the winner of the fight, with a small amount of blood from her mouth.

"We have a winner Lucy Sinclair!" The voice announced.

Cheers roared through the warehouse, Alex headed out of the cage looking like a winning warrior from a bad war.

"You look like Hades." I teased.

"Shut up." She replied.

The enforcer came over with a slight smile.

"You did good kid," He said. "If you want to fight again just come by." He handed her a small wag of cash.

He nodded at us and walked off.

"Let's get you home winner." I added warping an arm over her shoulders and walked out with Alex leaning on me and the information needed to stop this in my shirt.

Coming back to the apartment, it was past midnight but Alex was on a high from the win.

"Did he really hit you or did you fake it?" I asked.

"No, he got me, such the reason for the blood." She replied. Pointing at the small amount of blood that was on her lower lip.

"You are damn lucky he didn't do worse to you." I added. "What are you going with the money?"

"I'll figure it out but right now I just want to sleep." She responded.

"That least I have the information to bring the fights down." I added.

"Great we will go see Chiron tomorrow," She said. "But now I just want to sleep so good night Tabs." Before crashing on her bed and fell asleep within seconds. Offering her sleeping form a smile before changing to sleep and allowed sleep to come over me.

The morning came sooner than I thought Alex was doing sit ups when I woke up.

"Are you really doing sit ups?" I inquiry

"I need to burn off energy." She replied.

"I need to eat something and then we need to go to Chiron." I added.

"We will," She stated. "I need to take a quick shower and get some food than we get towards Chiron and give him the information okay?"

"Great," I added hoping out of bed, and step over Alex to get into the bathroom. Before she could get in there. Mom was sleeping still, we were going to let her sleep. Rushing through my morning ritual before heading back into the room, as Alex rushed past me into the bathroom for a shower. Dressing quickly in jeans and comfy long shelves thermal top in emerald green throwing over it a black jacket. Paired it with black boots. Knowing that I look good and headed out of the bed room so Alex could get dressed going into the kitchen get some food. As Alex came out of the bathroom and heard the door shut deciding on a peach and some cereal hearing drawers being pulled and pushed. Alex came out in jeans with a simple black t-shirt covered with a black jacket. She was wearing short black booties, she walked past my sitting form she grabbed some cereal and water. Rushing through breakfast, holding the information tightly to me as Alex offered me her arm and we shadowed out to camp half-blood. I ran through the barrier, heading for the big house, while Alex walked after me coming to the porch to see Chiron was reading, he glanced up to see me and offered me a smile.

"I'm guessing you have more information for me." He started. "Come into the office."

I trailed after him into the office, Alex hadn't come in her probably going to let me give the information to Chiron.

"This is the information that I found," I said handing over the folder of information from the fights. "It looks like it mostly rogue and older demigods that are getting the massive payouts."

"Thank you, Tabitha, I will give the information to the right people and we will bring them to justice." He said. "Thank Alex for me please."

"I will Chiron," I added with a smile and headed out to find Alex sitting on the steps looking bored. "Chiron sends his thanks."

"That's good shall we go?" She asked

"Yes, we can go." I replied, leading both of us up the hill coming through the barrier, gripping Alex's arm and shadowed us out.
