Okay so now we will continue with the battle against Saix. I hope you all like this one. On the good side an old friend will return in this one and that should please a few of you guys. Also I'm going to be taking a small break for the holidays but I'll be back soon. With that said please review and let's begin.
Chapter 26 Saix's Full Strength
"I arrived here earlier but I decided to wait till I was needed still seeing you surprised me. Out of everyone I could've met up with, it figures that it would be you." Aqua said calmly as she stared Saix in the eye.
"Despite our past now we are on other ends. Sorry about this but I must kill you surely you know all of this already." Saix said as he returned Aqua's stare.
"I tried to help you Saix but it seems you were truly a lost cause. How sad I really regret all of this." Aqua said as she looked at the ground.
"Hold on how the hell do you and him know each other." Xeon asked feeling lost and confused.
Aqua looked down and blushed a bit. "It really is of no concern and it doesn't matter that much." Aqua said as she tried to ignore the question.
"If you must know girl she was once my girlfriend. Of course now she is nothing to me." Saix said
"Why the hell did you tell her that?" Aqua said as she freaked out.
"What the hell, why did you go out with a jerk like him." Xeon asked
"Well he seemed interesting but the main reason was I was just learning about Keyblades and I thought maybe I could get him to join our side. I figured I could show him what was right and what was wrong. I was scared if I didn't try to help he would become a monster. Looks like my fears were correct. Man now I feel bad for being unable to save him and now he is our enemy. Just like many others he too has been brainwashed by Xehanort." Aqua said as he looked returned to determination.
"How interesting in the end you only befriended me because you thought you could save me right. How humorous, don't you understand how I am the only one here who is safe. The rest of you are all in trouble and you have all doomed yourselves by siding with that man. Tell me do you have any idea how much Yen Sid is hiding from you. Do you even know what will happen when you all defeat master Xehanort. Tell me you do know what will happen if the darkness is destroyed right? Or has Yen Sid kindly left that part out of the equation." Saix said
"Yen Sid hides things to protect us. If we knew the truth to soon I know if I found out what would happen if I had learned it the moment a I gained my Keyblade then I would never agree to fight but now I understand." Aqua said
"So you are willing to kill Xehanort despite the cost of all of it. You do know that Xehanort himself is the darkness. If you kill him then you will end everything. If darkness is destroyed then you know what must go as well." Saix yelled as he grew angry.
"Yes I know but it will lead to peace. And if that's the price we must pay as Keyblade wielders then we are all ready to pay it." Aqua said
"Wait what price are you talking about. What happens if we kill Xehanort?" Xeon asked in confusion.
"Yea just what have all of you been hiding from us." Riku asked as well.
"It's nothing okay. You'll learn latter when the time is right." Aqua said
"So you continue leading your own warriors in some blind justice. How interesting that you treat them like this. It's truly no wonder they all are a bunch of useless tools. Yen Sid is using them as such." Saix said
"Just what the hell is he talking about Aqua?" Xeon asked confused.
"It's nothing ignore him and don't listen to a word he says." Aqua said
"Well well it seems you would give just about anything to shut me the hell up. Sadly that's not going to happen. I was going to allow idiots to continue being lead in the dark but it will be more fun if I told these brats the little secret." Saix said
"Just what the hell do you mean?" Riku asked as he grew annoyed.
"Shut Up Saix!" Aqua said as she tried to attack Saix but he easily avoided the blow and knocked her backwards.
"Tell me what the hell did you idiots think would happen to all of you after you killed Xehanort?" Riku asked
"What do you mean, we would defeat him and then we would continue to protect people from any new evil that would come." Xeon said as she took a guess.
"If only it was that simple. Xehanort is darkness so when he dies so does the darkness." Saix explained
"So what isn't that a good thing?" Xeon asked
"Maybe but still it leads to a question. With no darkness then what would our purpose be?" Riku said as he grew nervous.
"He seems to have a brain. Yes sadly there will be no need for you idiots. Light cannot exceed darkness. If it does then it throws the whole world out of balance. So if you destroy the darkness then all magic will go with it. That means no more Keyblades or powers or anything." Saix said
"So we would lose our powers." Xeon said feeling shocked by this.
Aqua looked down furious at how Saix revealed what had to be a crucial secret.
"Don't feel bad Yen Sid lies to everyone. He does this because he's afraid no one will join him if he doesn't. Oh and sadly things aren't as simple as what I said. What's more is all memories of what you did will be erased as well as the memories of people who died." Saix said
"So for example if I were to die in this war and we then defeated Xehanort then no one would remember me." Xeon said shocked.
"That is correct normally Xehanort is able to erase people from existence but because of your friend Namine, you found a way around that. Still she can't save you when it comes to this. Namine can only counter Xehanort's power of erasing a person's existence and that's all. Why I still do not know but I will learn soon enough. I'm certain if I ask Xehanort he'll tell me." Saix said
"SO in ending this war we must forget ever fighting in it." Riku said looking shocked.
"Yes it is indeed a curse. On top of all this it gets even worse. Yen Sid would have to die in the end as well. He is willing to do this because since he is the main light he must go when Xehanort goes." Saix said
"So then what exactly is the point of all this. If we win then we lose everything." Xeon said still shocked.
"I don't blame you for being annoyed I was too when I learned. But still some things cannot change and those are the rules. Basically if you sin then you destroy the strong and allow the weak to rule this world. Our goal is the opposite, kill the weak and allow the strong to rule the world. Either way one side must end." Saix said
"It doesn't have to be this way though. If Xehanort just stops this then the weak and the strong can live together." Aqua said
"It's too late for that. We made up our minds ages ago. We are unnoticed despite our power and how special we are. The weak must all die like the tools that they are." Saix said calmly.
"So that's the fact huh." Xeon said looking shocked.
Aqua looked down and was ashamed. "Yes that is the truth. If we win then we will all lose our memories and the people who die will not be remembered. Still we all are aware of that and we are willing to make that sacrifice. There are so many more weak people in this world then there are strong. IF we kill the weak then we kill almost everyone. It is a fools decision. Saix is wrong killing off the weak won't make the strong any better. Instead it'll just cause an endless war between different strong people." Aqua said calmly.
"So it's not like the weak don't do that. They fight all the time. Either way this world will end in violence." Saix said
"True but if we were to fight it would just be too much for anyone to handle. Saix I know you believe only the strong should survive but don't forget. Strength isn't determined by the power or magic one possesses, it's determined by the dream's we all have and by the challenges we face in the path of life. You know that as well as I do." Aqua said to Saix
"You told me that all the time. While it is true that we must know pain to be powerful, it is also true that not everyone knows the same. People whine and complain as if there problems are the worst. Most whine and complain but in reality they have life so good. I was never one of those people." Saix said
"Yes but just because your problems aren't the worst doesn't mean you have none to begin with. Face reality Saix we will fall in life but we do it so we can get back up and grow stronger ourselves. We fall to learn more. But not you Saix. When you feel you just started hating everyone and blaming the entire world for your suffering." Aqua said
"Aqua is right. It does suck that we may forget but killing off innocent people isn't the answer here. Here's the way I see if we win then the only people who die are the villains sure we lose our powers and memories but we will still be living in a peaceful world. But if you win then the only people that live are the ones who one. You will just kill innocent people to get your dumb goal." Xeon said
"While I don't like forgetting what happens in life, I do believe killing innocent people isn't the right answer. Think about it if you were a normal man with a wife and kid how would it be fair just to kill you for my own goal." Riku said
"Fool in this world people are chosen to die and the weak are just that. Humans are like animals to us so why should we allow them to live. We are far above a normal human." Saix said
Aqua just shook her head. "There truly is no hope for you Saix. I swear this saddens me. You two stay back I will defeat him after all he is kind of my responsibility." Aqua said as Xion and Riku nodded they didn't like it but Xeon was hurt and Riku needed to protect her.
"Right" Xion and Riku said
"Good then I'll finish him quickly." Aqua said with a smile
"You talk cocky Aqua but you should learn how far beneath me you are. I've grown far stronger than you could believe." Saix said
"Keep telling yourself that Saix. Last I checked I always had to protect you whenever people would try to pick a fight. It was quite embarrassing if you think about it, a girlfriend protecting her boyfriend talk about lame. Still you always did seem a little weak. I sensed something in you thought but I failed to save you. Too bad but there's no other way but to beat you myself. Oh and don't get cocky Saix last I checked you could never even beat me in something as simple as Tag or hide and seek and I still intend to beat you again." Aqua said
"Shall we put that theory of you beating me to the test?" Saix asked as he vanished and went to slash Aqua but she easily avoided the blow and swung her Keyblade forward. Saix then jumped backwards in order to avoid Aqua's attack. Aqua then jumped in the air and slashed downward but Saix blocked it Aqua the disappeared and appeared behind Saix and swung her Keyblade at Saix. When she hit him Saix vanished and Aqua stood there shocked for a second.
"Did you really think you could defeat me with speed as slow as that." Saix said as he appeared behind Aqua and slashed Aqua but much to his surprise the only thing he slashed was the cloth Aqua wore over her black pants. "What the hell" Saix said shocked as Aqua's image appeared behind Saix Aqua now had her cloth removed showing her only in her black outfit now.
"And did you think you could beat me with moves that predictable." Aqua said with confidence in her voice as she shot out a barrage of bubbles that all slammed into Saix and sent him flying towards the ground.
"What the hell was that. How did you do that?" Saix asked confused
"Simple I removed my cloth and created a clone of me using bubbles. I knew I could make you attack that and let your guard down." Aqua said calmly.
Saix scanned his surroundings and saw he was near Riku and Aqua. A lot nearer than Aqua was. "Well for what's it worth I might as well take out your two friends before you get a chance to do a trick like that again." Saix said as he ran right past Aqua and went to slash Xeon. Riku stood in his way but he easily stabbed Riku and knocked him to the side. He then took his weapon and slashed Xeon. Saix was tired of games so this time he went to cut her head straight off... and this blade made contact. He then watch as the girl he despised fell to the ground dead.
"Despite all of your bragging you couldn't even protect your friend. You truly are pathetic." Saix said calmly.
Before Aqua could even respond Saix got slashed in the stomach. He looked to see who his attacker was and saw it was none other than Xeon.
"How I cut your damn head off. How the hell are you still alive." Saix said as he slashed Xeon once again but the moment his blade hit Xeon he no longer saw Xeon as his target. Instead he saw him slashing an image of himself. "What the hell are you doing to me you bitch!" Saix said as he started to lose control and sanity of the situation.
"How sad Saix despite your effort you fell for my trap easily. When I hit you with all those bubbles earlier it was all I needed to place you under my spell. Now everything you see is an illusion. I have the ability to mess with your senses. Sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. My Keyblade allows me to use water to create illusions for you. Right now you probably believe you're attacking Xeon right now but in reality your only slashing thin air. it makes me sad seeing you in this condition but it's over for you." Aqua said as she talked to herself.
Aqua then walked near Saix who was still trapped in an illusion and went to slash him.
"Enough!" Saix yelled as he walked backwards and held his body in pain. "There's no way this is real. Aqua what kind of illusion have you but me under either way I have a way around it." Saix said as he laughed to himself.
"We knew he was in an illusion. Just great he caught on. I was hoping he would think he was going insane but he realized my illusion. I have to beat him before he learns how to end it." Aqua said as she ran forward.
"To think I'd have to use this move but it all ends here." Saix said as he swung his weapon still in air but this time a huge light came out the went to the top of the dorm and shined down on Saix.
"What the hell is that?" Aqua asked confused.
"He we are just as confused as you I mean Saix was slashing thin air what was going on." Xeon asked
"I'll explain later let's just say it involves my power a bit." Aqua said
"True but it's pointless either way that thing I created cures me of any tricks or poisons my enemies can use. If you noticed the light I made resembles a moon." Saix said coldly.
"Yea so what." Aqua said as she looked at the moon shaped light in the sky.
"Let me tell you something this weapons name is Lunatic. It's full power is awakened when moonlight is near. However when it isn't near I've learned how to create my own. Now let me show you my true power. I should warn you I don't even know what will happen to me when I go this so I may change a bit. Lunatic lets end this give me the power of Berserk Mode!" Saix screamed as he and his weapon began to change his weapon was now surrounded by a bunch of spikes and it now had a cross symbol in the center of it.
However Saix's weapon wasn't the only thing that changed, Saix himself changed. his hair seemed slightly longer and it was now flowing like crazy. He now had fangs were his teeth had once been. His eyes were now glowing red and his whole body was surrounded by a strange aura. One thing was for sure he was completely different then he was earlier.
"No way what the hell is this." Xeon asked confused.
"Damn it, I have to stop him before he does anything." Aqua said as she shot a bunch of bubbles at Saix only to have him take his blade and swung it causing blue flames to come out and destroy all of Aqua's bubbles and hitting her. Saix then was right in front of Aqua and slashed her sending her flying. Aqua took so much damage from that strike that Saix was able to break both of her legs in an instant.
"Now you won't be a problem you useless bitch!" Saix screamed as he grew crazier and madder.
"Just great now he really is a monster. And to think he was able to deal this much damage in one attack. Damn it now how are we going to escape this." Aqua said
I could try to use attacks to distract him. My lower half my be useless but I can use my arms just fine so I can fire more attacks and distract him long enough for Riku and Xion to escape but doing that would mean my death. Damn it is there no other way. Aqua thought as she looked down.
"Damn it. Xeon can you move at all." Riku asked
"Yea but just a little bit. I hate to say it but there's no way I can fight." Xeon said
"Good then run for safety. I will try to fight him for a short while." Riku said
"But then you could die." Xeon said
"Look I know that okay but if your safe then it's worth it okay." Riku said as he grew a bit nervous.
"But-" Xeon started only to be cut off by Riku.
"Your family always amazes me. Sora is constantly pushing his limits and he somehow became friends with a jerk like me. Roxas seems like he has such power but he can get himself killed. And then there's you. I can't believe it but you were just as strange we were good friends. Look I won't lie I have grown to care for you a lot okay. More than a normal friend okay." Riku said as he caused Xeon to blush.
"Huh, Riku is now really the best time to tell me this." Xeon said
"Maybe not but you need to know in case this guy kills me. Now listen to me and leave!" Riku said
"No way. Who the hell do you think you are. You can't say that you have a crush on me and then expect me to run the other way besides I don't abandon my friends okay. I'm not going to live and know that you died to save me. I'm staying" XIon said looking determined.
"Man why do you have to be such a pain. But your choice." Riku said
"Both of you leave now!" Aqua yelled distracting Riku and Xion.
"Huh" Both of the children asked in confusion.
"Look I can distract him but you need to go." Aqua said
"No way we aren't leaving a comrade behind." Xeon said as Riku nodded in agreement.
"Idiots" Aqua said sadly.
"How pointless either way all of you will die now!" Saix yelled as he ran forward toward Riku and Xion but before he could get close enough he got his by a pair of Keyblades and got sent flying through a wall.
"What the hell?" Xeon asked confused.
"Well from the look of things your timing is even better than mine right Roxas." Riku said as Roxas stood up holding his two Keyblades.
"I can't believe you two did this to me and tried to knock me out. Honestly it's a good thing Namine found me and was able to wake me up." Roxas said
"Namine man she really is a pain. Didn't she realize I knocked you out for a reason." Xeon said
"And because she woke me up I could save you now let's all get out of here before that Saix guy gets up." Roxas said as he walked over to Aqua and picked her up since she couldn't move.
"Well I owe you one. You really are Ventus's cousin." Aqua said
"Thanks for that I suppose." Roxas said as he took Aqua over to Riku and Xion.
"You must've hit him hard to stop him from getting up." Riku said
"I hope so. On my way here I started charging up my power in my two Keyblades because I sensed how powerful Saix was. I figured I would only have one shot at an attack so I hoped it would be strong enough to take him out. Looks like it was. Power is important but if you let your guard down like him then you will regret it. I got a lucky hit in but it was enough to defeat him I suppose." Roxas said with a grin.
"Well either way thank you man." Riku said
"Yea thanks big brother sorry I didn't think you could handle this." Xeon said
"I guess I understand just be careful next time and Riku." Roxas said as he turned towards Riku.
"What is it man?" Riku asked confused.
"What the hell is your problem I'm away for a little bit and you start hitting on my sister and telling her you like her and all that." Roxas said
"Well calm down man it seemed like something I wanted her to know and it was the truth." Riku said
"I swear I should kill you for that." Roxas said
"Please stop embarrassing me you guys." Xeon said as she blushed at her over protective big brother and her friend.
"He started it and don't tell me you intend to actually date this guy." Roxas said
"Look we'll talk about this latter now's a bad time." Xeon said as she blushed a little more.
"This counts as a win in my book. And it's looking good for me." Riku said as Roxas rolled his eyes before laughing.
"When we get out I'll heal all of our wounds and then we all need to go see Yen Sid." Aqua said as she used her magic to start healing her legs.
"Good idea besides no offense but he owes us an explanation." Riku said
"I suppose some more information would be nice so what are we waiting for. Namine is heading him so let's leave as well and head to Yen Sid." Roxas said
"Good Idea just be prepared I heard Sora had a hard fight and he got hurt bad you may not like what you hear about what happened to him." Aqua warned
"What did that idiot brother of mine push himself too far. Man I'll give him hell latter." Roxas said laughing.
"Well it's obvious he cares more for his sister then his brother. Actually I bet it's just a different kind of love between the siblings." Aqua said to herself as she laughed a bit as well.
"Okay then so we'll worry about Sora latter and I'm sure he'll be fine." XIon said with a grin
"You should worry about him later and worry about yourselves right now." A voice said as a blue flame came out of the whole Roxas knocked Saix into. The blue flame flew towards the warriors and then flew right past Roxas, then past Aqua, and then past Riku before hitting its target.
"Ah!" XIan screamed in extreme pain as the blue fire spread on her and burned her body and clothe.
"XIon!" Riku and Roxas yelled as they both turned and saw Saix get up.
"Don't let your guard down right. You said that so try taking your own advice. Sorry but you all die now." Saix said
Aqua quickly moved to Xeon and used her water magic to put out the fire and start healing Xeon. "Thank god you're not hurt that bad. Your burned a bit but I can heal that easily." Aqua said with some relief but she was still nervous about Saix in his Berserk state.
"Thanks Aqua" Xeon said
"Well looks like you got healed good. Thank god" Riku said as he smiled a bit but stopped when he saw Roxas's face.
"You bastard, you hurt Xeon. You burned her and nearly killed her. You've caused us so much pain I swear I'll kill you... I'll kill you!" Roxas screamed as he got surrounded by a black magic.
"And how do you intend to do that?" Saix asked unimpressed.
"No shit. Don't tell me it's happening now. Darkness was in Roxas's heart from early on and now it's leaking out. But since he saw his sister get hurt his rage is taking control and that's strengthening the darkness. Roxas you have to calm down okay." Riku said
"Shut up this bastard hurt Xeon and now all I want is to kill him. He's done too much to everyone and now he has to die!" Roxas screamed as the darkness took control of Roxas's whole body.
Roxas then changed, his eyes started to glow bright yellow and both of his Keyblades vanished. His whole body and clothes then turned a black color and he now resembled more of a heartless then himself.
"Kill." Roxas said in a demoniac voice.
"What is that?" Xeon asked confused and afraid for her brother.
"Roxas lost control Xeon. Darkness has corrupted him. I was warned about this and who knows what will happen I don't even know if Roxas can tell friend from foe anymore. Damn it Cloud and Terra warned me that if darkness consumes you like it did him then you'll become a monster that you have no control over. This form Roxas entered is called Shadow Drive and believe me it's not a good thing." Riku said sounding worried
Riku, Aqua, and Xeon all stood there in fear as the shadow Roxas lunged forward towards Saix with only one look in his eyes. He had the eyes of a creature that only wanted to taste blood and Saix was the first on his menu.
