Chapter 26

Abby walked into the pantry looking for Liv and promptly walked out, shutting her eyes…

"Liv...you two have to stop!" Abby yelled

Liv walked out of the pantry pulling down her shirt.

"This is your fault! You said he has to leave and its still three days to the wedding!" Liv said defensively. Fitz walked out buckling his belt

"Why are we listening to her…can you explain to me why your friend is kicking me out of my home?!" Fitz said frowning. He wasn't happy.

"…we have a lot of things we need to do before the wedding and you're a distraction…case and point" Abby said pointing at the pantry where she had just caught them…

"Why can't he just leave the night before?" Liv asked. She also had no interest in Fitz leaving, this was all on Abby…

"I need to have you do your nails, your hair, waxing…. all the things the sex fiend here will ruin if he's underfoot! He's leaving. Pack your bag Fitz! You're outta here!" They watched as Abby stomped out, then turned to look at each other.

Fitz raised his eyebrows…Liv smiled. As they headed back into the pantry Liv couldn't help but think…Abby is going to be so pissed!

Abby finally got Fitz out of the house an hour later. He grumbled the whole way out. She ignored him. She was getting really good at that

"Aren't you the one who told me that he sweats your hairstyles out all the time" Abby said chastising her. Liv sighed

"Yes…but it's so worth it Abbs!"

"You can go without sexuals for three days…I've gone without for six months, you don't see me acting ridiculous"

No, you're just crabby as hell…

Liv stood in front of Abby, Ezra, E.J, Bryan and Harold.

"Well, what do you think? Someone say something, I am freaking out!" she said staring at the group.

Nothing.

"Say something!" she yelled. Ezra recovered first

"I think…I think you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my freaking life…" he said, his voice rough from emotion.

Liv beamed.

It had taken her forever to choose the dress once she got over missing her mom. The dress was not designer, at least not yet. A while back the FBI conducted a raid on a local design studio to arrest the owner for bank fraud. She had passed by a young black woman with an afro that just wouldn't quit. She had spied her designs while walking the perp out and been taken aback.

Talk about talent! She had handed off the bad guy and headed back to the young girl's work space. Cecelia was a design student with the kind of raw talent that was going nowhere but to the top. She had turned page after page of her portfolio and fallen in love with every design.

She had taken a leap of faith and asked her to design her wedding dress. A week later, Cecelia had shown her the sketch. It was the most gorgeous thing she had ever seen. It was an A-line of he shoulder floor length gown, with beautiful petal work. Cecelia even designed a matching petal work hairpiece to go with it. She had commissioned the dress and as she stood in front of her friends and family she knew she had made the right choice.

"You're saying an eighteen-year-old made this?" E.J. said amazed.

"Yup, she did…she's coming to the wedding you should meet her she is amazing" Liv said sincerely. She would bet Cecelia would have enough business to make a go of it before the wedding was over.

"You don't look real…you're so pretty! You look like a fucking doll" Abby said tears rolling down her eyes

"Abby!" Liv cautioned. Feeling the tears working their way out… They had made a pact no crying!

"Fitz is going to lose it when he sees you. I have never heard anyone complain so much about not being able to see someone for three freaking days. I am so glad it over".

Fitz was going to stay at a hotel during his three-day banishment from the house, but E.J. wouldn't hear of it. He had plenty of room and had insisted that Fitz stay with him. The two men were now the best of friends. E.J. had dual roles today. He got to give away his baby sister and also be the best man.

"You look beautiful Gnat" Harold said quietly. She turned to face him. He had tears in his eyes as she looked at her. She knew she shouldn't but she didn't care she hugged him. Who cared if she got a little wrinkled?

"Thanks, you…. I love you"

"Love you too gnat…"

"Gorgeous" this from Bryan

She smiled at everyone, proud that she hadn't cried…yet…

"I'm ready"

It was an outdoor wedding. Fitz and Liv were not particularly religious. They didn't attend church. They didn't have any ties to any denomination, so they decided to get married in the gardens of Villa Sandrilene. It was where he proposed and the gardens were beautiful. It was the perfect setting.

The gardens even had an arbor. The wedding planner, Janice had been ecstatic about that fact.

Fitz stood under the greenery waiting for Liv and wondering why they hadn't just eloped. The pomp and fuss were starting to get to him. He had been kicked out of his own house for three days, which meant he hadn't slept in his own bed for three days. Hadn't slept next to Livvie in three days…He was also very uncomfortable in the monkey suit.

It's for her…you do for the ones you love…

He saw the wedding planner, Janice, heading towards him, a fake smile plastered on her face

"The bride is here, so we are going to get this show on the road. Are you ready?" she asked all teeth

What's to get ready? Lets get this show on the road…he returned one of her fake smiles with one of his own

"Of course…"

"Super!" and she was off. He couldn't wait to never see that woman again. He watched her quick step to the area where a quartet was set up to play music. She gave them a cue and the music started. Liv had chosen the song…the Book of Love by Peter Gabriel

The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damn thing
It's full of charts and facts and figures and instructions for dancing
But I
I love it when you read to me
And you
You can read me anything
The book of love has music in it
In fact that's where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendental
Some of it is just really dumb
But I
I love it when you sing to me
And you
You can sing me anything
The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago

Fitz listened to the lyrics as he watched Abby walk up the aisle. It was the perfect song. Liv had been right…like she usually was.

The guests turned and smiled as six little ballerinas danced their way down the aisle. Liv had chosen to have only one bridesmaid and the six girls from her proposal as part of her wedding.

Fitz looked towards the house. She should be appearing around the corner onto the patio any minute now …his breath caught as soon as she appeared. His heart stopped. There was no controlling the emotion. Not this time. Beautiful was such an inadequate word.

This is why she wanted this…. this is perfect. Now I get it…

He watched her walk with Harold down the stairs down to the grass and toward the white chairs where the guests sat. She got to the edge of the seats…where Bryan waited. She kissed Harold on the cheek as he handed her off to Bryan.

She took Bryan's offered elbow and slipped her arm through his smiling up at him, they proceeded down the aisle until they got to the front row of guests…She kissed Bryan and took E.J.'s arm. She wanted all three of them to play a part in giving her away…

E.J. would be last; he had always been such a father figure in her life. Giving her affection where Eli failed.

The music played as she walked up to Fitz.

It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we're all too young to know
But I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
You ought to give me wedding rings

She looked up at Fitz… He looked so handsome, she wanted to cry…

There wasn't a dry eye to found anywhere. Everyone knew the heartache and tragedy that came before this. The Pope family had been through so much turmoil. It made everyone's heart sing to see them together... for a joyful reason…to watch the baby of the family get married. Watch her move on to the next phase of her life.

Fitz tried to control his emotion but was not having much success. He was…overpowered. He felt ashamed for wishing to expedite this moment…for even thinking about eloping….

He looked down as she smiled at him. It was an analgesic a balm that fixed everything. it was joy, consolation, comfort. It was everything...she was everything ...

"Who gives this woman to be married?" the officiant broke through his saccharine thoughts

"I do" E.J. said

Fitz took her hand and hugged E.J. It was a paltry show of affection a man who was giving him his soul mate...

He turned to the vision about to be his wife

"Ready…together forever"

"Ready…together forever"

"Liv!" Abby yelled shutting the door…and her eyes as she exited the room designated as the bridal suite in Villa Sandrilene

They have to be kidding me right now! She opened the door but didn't stick her head in

"Olivia Carolyn Pope…Grant! You're dress!"

"I'm sorry Abby its been three days!" Liv said from inside the room

"Leave, Abby" Fitz yelled, sounding not to happy. Oh, she was leaving…but she was leaving to go tell!

"You've got twenty-minute and then I am sending Janice in!"

She pulled the door shut and went searching for the wedding planner, she had a feeling she would be needed.

She found her in the kitchen yelling at the caterer, about making sure the food was hot when served. She pulled on her sleeve

"Janice…we have a problem" the woman turned instantly

"Problem…. what problem! Is it the lighting…"

"No, the bride and the groom…got…um carried away in the suite…"

Abby watched Janice heave a sigh of relief.

"Is that it?!, girl I am a wedding planner. That is nothing. I have had to deal with babies arriving ahead of schedule, dresses arriving behind schedule, periods and torn dresses. I had a bride sleep with the best man just before the wedding began…" Abby's eyes widened. What?!

"Don't ask…Knocking boots is normal! The ones who are really in love can never keep their hands off each other. Carla!" she yelled at her assistant.

The harried girl came running over. Janice handed her a set of keys.

"Go to the closet where we are keeping everything and grab the steamer and the spare white dress shirt I brought with me…go!" Carla hurried off in blind obedience.

"Are they done?"

"What?!"

"Are they done…when you walked in were they done?" Janice said deadpan.

"Um…no…. but I told them I was sending you in in twenty minutes"

"Good…tell Carla to meet me upstairs" she smiled at Abby "consider it handled"

Liv stood embarrassed as Janice steamed the wrinkles out of her dress. Fitz had disappeared into the attached bath to change his dress shirt. She hadn't even thought about her makeup getting on it…thank god his pants were black….

"Nothing to be embarrassed about, happens all the time on the good ones" Janice said trying to ease Liv's shame. It wasn't working

"There as good as new" she said turning off the steamer. Liv looked down. Wow…I ought to get me one of those things. The wrinkled dress was as perfect as it had been when she walked down the aisle…. before she and Fitz had gotten…. carried away….

Fitz came out of the bathroom, pushing through his cufflinks. Janice turned to him, hand on hip

"Okay, I need you two to keep it in check until the reception is over and then when you fly the coop you can get as down and dirty as you want understood? That's my last shirt big boy"

Fitz frowned and was about to answer back so Liv rushed to intervene.

"We'll control ourselves…you don't have to worry…and thank you for all your help"

Janice nodded. She grabbed her steamer and was quickly out the door followed by a harangued Carla. Poor thing...

"I don't like that woman" Fitz said

"You don't have to like her. After today we never have to see her again, but she has a point…keep your hands to yourself mister" she said sheepishly.

He walked over pulling on his jacket, a fiendish smile on his face "That's what happens when you force me to go through three days of forced celibacy" he pulled her to him and kissed her "I am no where near done with you...hmm"

Liv quickly pulled back. "Fitz! stop…I already messed up once, we are not doing it again…plus if you're good, maybe we get to do it in the back of the limo like you wanted…"

"Hmmm" Fitz moaned against her neck.

"I can't wait. Mrs. Grant…"

She couldn't get over it. She was Mrs. Grant!

"So, baby sis got married first…who saw that coming?" E.J. said. The crowd laughed.

"Liv is the baby of the family. We don't like to tell her this, but she is the apple of everyone's eye. From the moment she was born, we just…Harry, Bryan and I we made a pact to never let anyone touch her. The plan was to have her join a nunnery" he paused waiting for the laughter to die down.

"Liv…I know you thought all these years, that Bryan, Harry and I were watching over you so closely because Pop made us…that's not true. We watched over you because from the moment Mom brought you home, we were in love. You kept the house up for hours and we complained and acted like we resented taking care of you, but we never did. We did it…we do it because we love you. This year has been tough, but we made it through to the other side because we had each other and because we had you Fitz…Fitz you're not only a good fit for Liv…but you're a perfect fit for this family" E.J. looked at Fitz

"Now Fitz, this is the point where I am supposed to warn you to take care of my baby sis or else…but I... I …am not going to do that. You've already proven time and time again that you would do anything for my sister. So instead, I want to welcome you to our very dysfunctional family and say that Harry, Bryan and I are glad to call you our brother. I wish you guys the best. To Liv and Fitz!"

"To Liv and Fitz!"

As soon as she threw the bouquet, Fitz was hustling her out the door. Her earlier promise kept playing in his head…. sex in the limo…Hmmm.

She barley had time to say goodbye to everyone, before he tossed her into the limo and was shutting the door.

"Fitz…that was rude!" she yelled as the driver pulled away from the curb and waving faces.

"Fine Liv, we can go back, but I can't promise I will be able to keep my hands off you and I don't think your brothers would appreciate me pawing you in front of them, even if we are married…" he threatened "Now…come over here…"

"Fitz… wait! He has to pull up the privacy glass!"

The driver must have heard. She watched as the tinted glass rose up, encapsulating them into their own little world

"Are you sure he can't see…what if…" she never got to finish the sentence. Fitz had picked her up and dropped her on his lap. She opened her mouth to ask again, when he pulled her down to kiss her. It was a def con one kiss. No teasing, straight to business.

He pushed his tongue into her mouth and pulled down the half sleeve dress exposing her chest.

"Fitz! don't tear it!"

"I will buy you another one if I do…" He pulled down the demi bra she had on under the dress and brought his head down to draw her nipple into his mouth

"Ahh" Damn, that felt good. Why am I fighting this?

She pulled him into her and then brought his head up, bringing her mouth down to his. She kissed him over and over again.

He pulled back and stared down at all the fabric covering her lap and his….

"I might not have thought this through...how do I get to the goodies…."

She laughed, the goodies?

She stood up and sat back on the bench seat across from him, reached under her dress and pulled down her scanty panties and tossed them to the floor. She pulled up as much fabric as she could at the front of the dress…he caught sight of a thin strip of hair and moaned…

He opened up his pants and pulled himself out of the pants placket. Liv stood took a step and settled on top of him.

"That ought to do it" she said as she felt him up against her.

Fitz was beyond talking…He positioned himself and pushed in…. fuck yes.

Liv threw her head back and moaned. He felt so good….

She rocked herself forward and brought her head back down to look at him. He's eyes were glazed over with passion

"Liv…" he grabbed a hold of the fabric where he thought her hips were and pushed up over again and again. Liv brought her hands to the back of the seat and pushed back against him…meeting him thrust for thrust.

It had been too long, neither of them was going to last long…. Fitz held onto the gossamer thread of his control until Liv cried out her orgasm and then let himself go. He pulled her forward and bit into the side of her neck as he came. It drove her wild when he did that…sure enough, he felt her detonate again. Her tight little pussy clamping down on him in waves. It felt fucking incredible….

Five minutes later, they recovered enough to pull back and look at each other. Fitz smiled

"That was incredible, Mrs. Grant…do it again"

Liv laughed "No way mister…my daughter might want to wear this dress one day. I won't have you ruin it anymore!" she said pulling herself carefully off of him.

Fitz paused halfway through zipping up. Suddenly he saw it…Liv pregnant with his baby…. a girl...

"Fitz are you okay?"

He nodded "I just pictured her…my baby…my baby with you…"

Liv watched an emotional Fitz and felt touched beyond words.

"It could be a boy…."

"Doesn't matter…it would be our baby…" he reached out and grabbed her hand. They held hands lost in thoughts of their future...of their children together

"I love you Mrs. Grant"

"I love you Mr. Grant"

A bawdy smile broke over his face

"So, what are your thoughts on joining the mile-high club?" he wiggled his brows

Liv laughed

"Bring it on mister"
