"Espo, what are you doing here?" Castle asked. "Beckett called me. So here I am." Espo answered.
"Where do you keep the tea?" Espo asked. "Tea? She called you to make her some tea?" Castle asked confused.
"Well, sort of." Espo answered. "Why?" Castle asked.
"You know what Castle, let me see her first so I can give her some tea so she will calm down and then we can talk about it." Espo said, walking with a cup of tea in his hands to the bedroom.
"No, stay." Espo said when Castle was about to walk in the bedroom too. "I will be back soon." Espo answered and closed the door.
He saw her covered in the sheets. He heard her crying.
"Kate, what's wrong?" Espo asked, " I made you some tea."
Kate got up from under the sheets and took the tea. "Thank you Espo, you shouldn't have come here. I freaked out about a nightmare and I called you and made Castle leave. I shouldn't have done that." Kate said.
"I promised it to you I would come. So here I am. You haven't told Castle about our deal now, have you?" Espo asked.
"No, I should have told him. He is mad isn't he?" Kate answered.
"Kinda, and with me coming over it didn't make him any happier." Espo started to laugh. To his surprise Kate laughed too.
"Lets go to Castle. He is waiting in the livingroom. If you want we can tell him everything what happened before the part he already knows, so he knows what happened." Espo said and walked out of the bedroom.
Castle was sitting on the couch, waiting for Espo to come back out from the bedroom. When Espo came he sat down on the couch too. To Castle's surprise Kate came to join them on the couch too.
"What are you doing here Kate? You should be sleeping." Castle said.
"I know, but I, well, me and Espo, want to tell you what happened the last few days, the part before the whole James thing." Kate said.
And with that she started to tell everything. About the house and the one bedroom. The shopping trips and the walking around. When they came to the nightmare-promise Castle suddenly understood what Espo was doing here.
When Kate finished her story she apologized to Castle. "Don't apologize Kate, you didn't do anything wrong. Thank you for telling me everything." Castle said and continued with: "And Espo, I don't know how I could ever thank you for taking care of Kate. If you ever need anything you can always come to me. Always."
They continued talking about it and suddenly Kate jumped up and walked to the suitcase she still didn't unpack.
She got her new clothes and showed them to Castle. "Espo went shopping with me and we bought all these clothes. He loves shopping." Kate said with a smile.
"No Kate. You promised you wouldn't tell anyone. BECKETT!" Espo yelled the last part when he saw her running away from him. He chased her around the house leaving a very confused but amused Castle on the couch.
He loved it that Espo made her smile after the whole James thing. "Castle, help me!" Kate jumped on the couch laughing. Espo came to the couch a few seconds later.
"You know what, I should leave you two alone now. But watch out Beckett, I will get you back for telling Castle my secret." Espo laughed and walked to the door.
"I wouldn't do that you know, I always could tell Lanie and Ryan about your love for shopping." Kate said. Espo gave her a last angry look before sticking his tongue out and laughing while he closed the door.
Castle and Beckett just stayed on the couch cuddling eachother until they fell asleep.
