….

All he saw was blackness as he gazed about him. Everything about it seemed familiar and nostalgic. Allen couldn't help but smirk… it was that type of dream again. Ahead of him stood the ethereal figure of the woman he had seen too many times to count.

But unlike his other dreams, she was closer than ever before though still out of his reach. She turned to him, the curve of her lips and gentle slope of her chin visible just like always.

Her lips moved as whispering words barely touched his ears.

'… Always… and forever…'

Allen frowned but a distant clatter and voices distracted him and abstracted her words before she began to slowly walk away. He desperately tried to follow but his body wouldn't listen as it remained firmly in place.

'Wait!'

….

'Komui you idiot! Be careful!' He heard a growl as he slowly came to. Allen opened his eyes but all he could see at the moment was a messy coloured blur in front of his eyes.

Nothing seemed to make sense but one thing was for certain, his head was killing him.

'What…?' Allen croaked as his vision slowly cleared and he found himself lying in a bed in the infirmary. He also saw two figures looming over him. It didn't take him long to recognize that one of them was that retched bastard Cross and the deputy principle.

'Sorry if we managed to wake you Allen,' Komui apologized as Allen squinted at the bright lights above him. On his other side, Cross snorted.

'What do you mean we? You knocked the fucking trolley over!' Allen winced at the loudness of his voice as Cross threw the eccentric man a pissed look. Though despite that, Komui seemed to ignore it.

'You do know what happened right?'

Allen frowned trying to think around the pain pulsing through his head. He remembers the Noah… Rhodo… if that was right… and then that strange akuma that he took on.

Its strange human-like appearance didn't help mask the power that emanated from it. But what made it worse was that it wore the skin of his former foster guardian.

'Most of it…' Allen grimaced as he slowly sat up and held his head in his hands. His head felt as if thousands of hammers were pounding relentlessly away. It was annoying the crap out of him but there didn't seem to be anything he could do.

'Is there something we should know Allen?'

'Could I have some painkillers or something first?' Allen watched as Komui pulled up a chair and sat down beside him.

'If you answer that then yes,'

Allen groaned and leaned back against the bed head.

'A Noah appeared,' He said carefully watching for Komui's reaction. There seemed to be something… recognition probably. It was safe to assume that wasn't what Komui was hoping for.

'It turns out one of my former guardians had become an akuma,' Allen tried again and this time, saw something different flash across Komui's deep purple eyes.

'Do you know how?' He felt himself frown at the deputy principle wondering why the man had asked such a question.

Suddenly, Allen felt his whole body jolt as the pain ignited once more within his head. He tried to smother the cry of pain as he bent over gripping his head. It felt like it was splitting apart.

'Enough Komui, the brat's going to turn his brain into mush,' Allen barely heard Cross mutter under his breath. He glanced up and saw the bastard walk away to some bench resting next to the door and retrieved something.

Then the man tossed that something at him that Allen just managed to catch. He glanced down at his hand and noticed the small mirror he had seen women use to do their make-up.

In bemusement, Allen turned it over so that he could stare at his reflection. His eyes slowly widened when he saw something that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Trailing through his left eye was an angry red line that joined up to a pentagram above his left brow.

'What is this?' Allen seethed almost thinking that this had to be someone's idea of a joke. Then someone roughly grabbed his chin and Allen was forced to look into Cross' face.

'So you know nothing about it?' Allen eyes could only flicker over at Komui.

'Of course I fucking don't!'

Komui sighed then looked at Cross.

'What do you think?'

'Obviously, it's a seal and probably the reason why the brat can't remember certain things in his past,' Allen blinked at Cross' blunt answer and was clouded in confusion and anger… why him?

'Can it be removed?' Komui asked again as Cross finally let go of his chin. Allen watched as strange glowing symbols rose from the man's hand.

'With my level of skill, no but I think I know who is responsible for…'

BANG!

Allen grimaced at the loud sound, as a familiar narrow-eyed man slammed the door open. The glare the man possessed was filled in fury and Allen had no doubt who he was, having seen him before.

'Deputy Principle Lee how dare you not inform me of such a development!' Allen heard Komui get up from the chair and stand in the way of the man equal in height.

'It was necessary Rouvelier,'

'Necessary? May I remind you of who runs this school!' Rouvelier growled but Komui didn't budge, which surprised Allen. He had always thought that Komui was a bumbling eccentric idiot but to see this side of him was startling.

Despite that, Komui wasn't giving him an answer so Rouvelier proceeded to roughly push him to the side. The man more vile that Cross would ever be then grabbed Allen's forearm in a bruising grip.

'Hey let me go!' Allen protested as he tried to pry away from Rouvelier. But the man was somehow stronger than him.

'You best be silent and stop moving,' Rouvelier hissed. Allen gritted his teeth and glared at the older made just to hide his unease. However, Allen reluctantly stopped his struggling.

He watched as Rouvelier eyed the marking over his left eye. Allen tried to find any type of emotion as to what he was thinking but Rouvelier wasn't giving him a single hint. This only made Allen hate him more!

'Allen shall not receive any more assignments until I have made certain… arrangements,' the man stated as he finally let Allen go with a sinister smirk curling up at the corners of his lips. Allen couldn't believe this but clenched his jaw tighter just so he wouldn't make the situation worse.

'But is that wise Rouvelier?' Komui asked suspiciously as Rouvelier sneered at him.

'It would not do to let a wolf into the flock, Komui,' Allen snapped at the man's words despite the pain in his head.

'The fuck does that mean?' He made to lunge at the man but Cross grabbed him from behind and held him back. Rouvelier just stared at him coolly, that knowing smirk had yet to disappear but it still pissed him off.

'Calm down idiot, your only going to make it worse,' Cross hissed into his ear as Allen hesitated but relaxed silently.

'I'll leave you to it,'

'Rouvelier!' Komui called out sternly but Rouvelier began closing the door.

'Good day,'

The door closed leaving Allen to stand in a room slowly consumed by silence. He sank onto the floor when he felt Cross' grip on him loosen. His head hurt too much to think.

'Just try to rest up Allen, I'll see if I can talk any sense into Rouvelier,' Komui said, as Allen remained silent.

'Good luck with that Komui, once Rouvelier makes up his mind we are all doomed,' Cross snorted, his voice filled with venomous hatred.

….

The next day Allen was finally released from the infirmary and began to walk back to his room. He hadn't slept a wink last night. He was too infuriated and the dull throb was still pulsing in his head.

Allen hadn't enjoyed seeing Rouvelier and couldn't help but be amused by Cross' words… at least they agreed on something.

'Oh hello Allen,' Allen blinked as he heard his name and glanced up to see Belle staring at him with an inquisitive expression. She was now wearing the Academy's red and grey uniform.

'Hi,' he mumbled as Belle just smiled.

'Didn't you sleep well last night?' She asked as Allen groaned and rubbed his forehead with his palm.

'Is it that obvious?'

'Considering that you're being more polite than usual, I think so,' He pretended he didn't hear that as he gazed around the empty corridor. If he could remember correctly, the morning classes should have been finished by now.

'Where are the others?' Belle sighed at his question.

'Most were called out on assignments, it's only Limina, Timothy, you and me,' Allen nodded slowly but then realized something.

'You aren't concerned about this?' He brushed away the hair partially covering the strange marking over his left eye. Belle gazed at it before shaking her head.

'Believe me that was the first thing I wanted to ask you but you didn't seem to be in a good mood,' Belle replied and Allen couldn't help but agree with her. He still wasn't sure about what to make of it.

Cross had said it was a type of seal preventing him from remembering certain events from his past. For some weird reason, he couldn't help but wonder if it had something to do with Mrs Frazer being an akuma…

Suddenly a sharp pain ignited in his head reminding him not to think to deeply about it and he let the thought slide for now.

'Do you want to grab something to eat?' Belle asked out of the blue as Allen groaned.

'To be frank, I just want to sleep…'

'But that's not good!' Belle exclaimed as Allen winced at her loudness. She quickly muttered an apology before continuing.

'I know, have something to eat first and I'll make sure the others don't bother you for the rest of the day,' the suggestion was very tempting indeed as Allen sighed in defeat and nodded.

They then made their way to the cafeteria. It wasn't as busy as usual but that might mean that many were on assignments.

'So ya Limina right?' Allen heard Timothy's voice over by the door as he spied the kid loitering near Limina. The small girl had pried her eyes way from the book she had been reading to look at him.

'I don't understand why this is important?' Allen sighed at the mature response coming from Limina.

'Hey I'm trying to be nice here midget!' Timothy fumed at the blonde girl who seemed to frown slightly.

'That is senpai to you…'

'Timothy, you might want to leave her be,' Belle called to them though Allen hadn't wanted the argument to stop. It kept his mind off other things.

'I was just trying to be nice,' Timothy grumbled before Allen felt the kid's eyes on him.

'What?' Allen deadpanned as Timothy snickered.

'What's with the tattoo, ginger?' How did Allen know that the kid would probably point that out?

'An obvious sign of rebellion among adolescence,' Limina chided and Allen had to stop himself from flipping the table on top of her. Thankfully Belle intervened.

'Enough, please!'

'It really is none of your business,' Limina just shrugged and reopened her book.

'Just get something to eat Allen,' Belle persisted as he grumbled and walked over to the kitchen window and ordered some bacon and eggs. Allen walked back to the table once his food came.

'So what's it like to have a parasitic innocence?' Belle had been asking Timothy as Allen sat down at the table. Timothy cocked his head to the side in thought.

'Don't know, insanely annoying I suppose,' Allen couldn't help but silently agree with him. Belle just nodded before realizing Allen was sitting across from here.

'What about you?'

'I really don't want to talk about it,' he grumbled as he prodded the egg with his fork. 'What's it like to have an equip type?'

Belle glanced at the other side of the room, looking a little queasy. Allen raised an eyebrow and began chewing on some bacon instead.

'It's kind of hard, I tried controlling my innocence the other day but um… ended up blowing a huge hole in the wall,' Allen almost choked on a piece of bacon.

'What?' He coughed and laughed simultaneously as Belle pouted in defense.

'It-it wasn't my fault… at least I hope not,' now Timothy was laughing to the point of almost falling off his chair. Only Limina seemed void of expression.

'Maybe it's because you're thinking too hard,' Allen couldn't help but chuckle. Belle paused for a moment and seemed to consider what he had just said.

'Maybe you're right…' Belle murmured.

'There you are, Belle,' a voice called out, interrupting the strange conversation that had been started. Allen turned to see a blonde haired man walk over to them. He knew the man but his name wasn't coming to mind with the slight headache he had.

'Hello Mr. Wenhamm,' Belle said as the man sighed and scratched the back of his head.

'Reever is fine… anyway we've managed to contain your innocence again so will you test it out?' Belle paled as Reever asked this. Allen knew she had to be thinking about the hole in the wall incident.

'I suppose…' Belle nervously stood up and followed the man out of the cafeteria. Allen glanced back at his half-eaten plate of food before standing up.

'Where are you going ginger?' Timothy asked as Allen glared at him.

'If you must know, I'm going to take a nap,' despite having taken his mind off the pain, it was beginning to bother him again.

Yes, a nap would be great right now.

….

Yay I'm finally done! Now I've got Allen's unique scar into the story and it's going to stick around. I've also got an idea for what I'm going to do in the next chapter so it might come out late this week or next week… we will see…
