Shooting Star Dragon vs. Scar Red Nova Dragon
"NOW DUEL SERIOUSLY YOU IDIOT!" Aki had shouted.
"Aki." I said to myself.
Then I thought to myself. She was right I had to push those thoughts out of my mind and think about them later.
"Last Chance. Here we go."
I focused my thoughts and this time I finally found peace.
"Clear Mind!" I called out. "I activate my facedown card Urgent Tuning. This card will allow me to Synchro summon during the battle phase now I tune my level 8 Stardust Dragon with my level 2 Formula Synchron. Clustering crystal dreams, open the door to a new evolution! Become the path its light shines upon! Accel Synchro! Be born Shooting Star Dragon!" (Atk:3300/Def:2500)
"Now that's what I'm talking about Yusei." Jack said. "Scar Red Nova Dragon commence your attack."
"Sorry Jack but thanks to my Dragons ability I can remove it from play to negate your attack and then my dragon will return during the end phase."
"I end my turn then."
"My move Draw."
(Jack Sc:8) (Yusei Sc:6)
"First off I activate my facedown card Metalmorph this card will increase my monsters attack points by 300 then whenever my dragon attacks its atk will increase by half of the monster it's attacking. (Atk:3300+300=3600)
I took a look at Jacks expression, he didn't look worried.
"Jack knows about my dragons other ability yet he doesn't seem worried".
I smiled. "Hm I wonder what he has planned?"
"Alright Jack here we go I activate my Shooting Star Dragons ability now I can look at the top 5 cards of my deck and for every Tuner Monster I draw my dragon can attack that many times."
"Then let's see of luck on your side."
"Here we go."
I looked at the five cards I drew.
"I drew three tuners now my dragon can attack three times. Go Shooting Star Dragon Stardust Mirage!"
"I activate my Dragons ability by removing it from play I can negate your attack and then it will return during the end phase."
With that Scar Red Nova Dragon vanished.
"But now you're wide open."
"Wrong. I special summon Battle Fader. (Atk:0/Def:0) Thanks to its ability I can special summon it from my hand when I'm about to be hit by a direct attack and then end the battle phase."
There wasn't much I could do after that but then I remembered a card I discarded thanks to my Angel Baton.
"I remove Necro Defender from my graveyard. Now until your end phase Jack my dragon can't be destroyed in battle and I take no damage."
"Hm. So you bought yourself another turn then very well My move draw."
(Jack Sc:12) (Yusei Sc:5)
"First off I activate the effect of Speed World 2 by removing 4 speed counters I can inflict 800 points of damage to you Yusei for every speed spell in my hand ."
(Jack Sc:8) (Yusei Lp:4000-800=3200)
"I'm not done yet either Yusei I remove 4 more to inflict another 800 points of damage to you."
(Jack Sc:4) (Yusei Lp:3200-800=2400)
"Jack's gotten better at using his Speed Counters." I thought.
The crowd erupted into a loud cheer.
"The crowd loves us." Jack said.
"Always a sucker for the crowd aren't you?" I said.
"Ha anyway let's continue."
"I remove my last 4 Speed Counters to inflict 800 points of damage to you."
(Jack Sc:0) (Yusei Lp: 2400-800=1600)
"Yusei I maybe using my Speed Counters more but understand that this duel will only truly mean something if I defeat your Shooting Star Dragon with my Scar Red Nova Dragon. Any other way of winning to me is meaningless I set one card facedown and end my turn."
I could understand how Jack felt.
"My move Draw."
(Jack Sc:1) (Yusei Sc:6)
"Next I'll activate my Shooting Star Dragons ability again."
If I was going to win I needed to draw three tuners this time. I drew but I only drew two.
"Shooting Star Dragon attack."
Jack saved his dragon again while mine destroyed his Battle Fader.
"I'm not done yet I play one card face down and I end my turn."
"Yusei if you cannot stop me from attacking on my turn then you'll lose." Jack said with confidence.
"You're not going to win that easy Jack" I said to him.
"My move." Jack called out "Draw!"

"Scar Red Nova Dragon attack Shooting Star Dragon."
I had to take my chance here and now.
"I activate my trap High and Low. Thanks to this card I can send 3 cards from my deck to the graveyard and if any of those three are monsters then my dragon's atk points will increase by the amount of the discarded monsters atk so here we go."
The first card I drew was Speed Spell Speed Energy there was nothing I could do with this card so I sent it to the graveyard next I drew was Rapid Warrior and my dragon's atk increased by 1200 (3600+1200=4800) now I had one more card left to draw it was all or nothing I drew. It was Quickdraw Synchron.
"Yes!" My dragon's atk increase by 700 (4800+700=5500)
"Don't think I'm going to let you destroy my dragon so easy Yusei!" Jack yelled. I activate my facedown Burning Rebirth I tribute my Scar Red Nova Dragon to bring back my Red Dragon Archfiend.
The attack stopped. "Now I send the tuner monster Sinister Sprocket from my hand and Burning Rebirth to the graveyard to bring back Scar Red Nova Dragon."
Jack's dragon came back.
"Now since I have another tuner monster in my graveyard my dragon's atk increases again." (5500+500=6000) "Yusei you escaped this turn but don't think you'll be able to keep on escaping. It'll only be a matter of time before you have to remove your dragon to prevent it from being destroyed but when you do you'll lose your Metalmorph card."
Jack was right I had to think of something fast.
"My move. Draw!"
(Jack Sc:3) (Yusei Sc:7)
I drew Ghost Gardna.
"Alright this will at least by me another turn." I thought to myself.
"I summon Ghost Gardna in defense mode. (Atk:0/Def:1900). Now as long as its on the field its the only monster you can attack. I end my turn"
"Hm. So you managed to by yourself another turn. Very well my move. Draw!"
(Jack Sc:4) (Yusei Sc:8)
"Scar Red Nova Dragon attack Ghost Gardna."
My ghost was gone.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn."
"My move. Draw."
(Jack Sc:5) (Yusei Sc:9)
I activate Shooting Star Dragon ability."
This time I drew three tuners.
"Shooting Star Dragon attack!"
"Not so fast Yusei! I activate my facedown Half or Nothing. Now you have two choices. One continue the battle with your monsters attack points cut in half or two end the battle phase. So which is it?"
"I end the battle and my turn as well."
"Very well. My turn. Draw."
(Jack Sc:6) (Yusei Sc:11)
"Scar Red Nova Dragon attack Shooting Star Dragon!"
"I remove Shooting Star Dragon to negate your attack."
"Don't forget though because of that your Metalmorph now goes to the graveyard. Now I set one card facedown and end my turn. This is it Yusei one turn left."
Jack was right either way the next card I drew would determine who wins. I placed my hand on my deck and put all my trust in my cards. I drew.
"My turn! Draw!"
(Jack Sc:7) (Yusei Sc:12)
I looked at what I drew and it was just what I needed. I switch Shooting Star Dragon defense mode, then I set one card facedown and end my turn."
"Well looks like this it Yusei. My move. Draw."
(Jack Sc:8) (Yusei Sc:12)
"I activate my facedown Defenders Intersect! This card will force your dragon into attack mode and negate it's effect as well. Now Scar Red Nova Dragon attack! Burning Soul!"
"This duel isn't over yet Jack. Trap card activate! "Power Frame!"
"What?!" Jack said.
"This card will negate your attack and equip to my dragon then when it attacks it atk will increase by the difference between our two monsters atk."
"I see." Jack began. "So you're betting on your next turn? Very well then let's see who the goddess of victory smiles upon. I end my turn."
This was it.
"My turn. Draw."
(Jack Sc:9) (Yusei Sc:12)
"First I remove my Shield Warrior from my graveyard now when my monster attacks it can't be destroyed in battle and then I activate my Shooting Star Dragon's ability."
I drew my first card and it was Junk Synchron.
"Yes."
Then my second card was Quick Draw Sychron.
However the next two were Overboost and Max Warrior. I only had one draw left.
"Here we go."
I closed my eyes and felt something. It was Aki I couldn't hear her but for some reason I could feel her cheering me on. I smiled my mind was at ease.
"DRAW!"
I looked at the card I drew and it was Effect Veiler.
"I win Jack. Shooting Star Dragon attack Scar Red Nova Dragon! Stardust Mirage!"
Jack smiled. "I accept my defeat Yusei."
My first attack destroyed Jack's dragon. (Atk:3300+2700=6000)
Then my second attack went through.
(Jack Lp:3800-3300=500)
Finally my third attack finished the duel.
(Jack Lp:0)
"That's it folks the winner is Yusei Fudo!" The announcer said.
