A-Plus Cassiopeia: Lucy and Mr. Mortman are from The Girl Who Cried Monster.
BookMast3r: Mortman was telling the truth. As for Billy and Sarah, it's kind of supposed to be ambiguous.
Matt: Well, Sarah's a minor and the daughter of the police chief, so that's a mute point.
JustJustin: Yeah, I was hoping it'd be a shocker.
The next morning, at the Horrorland theme park, Slappy flipped on the television to see if anything interesting had gone on last night. As he entertained himself watching the news, he was greeted with an unpleasant sight that horrified even him.
"Holy sh...guys, get in here! Now!" He shouted frantically, turning up the volume of the television. The other members came running.
"What is it, Slappy?!' The Horror MC asked, a little unsettled at how terrified Slappy sounded, which was indeed rare for him. The ventriloquist dummy pointed a wooden finger at the television screen, directing all eyes onto it. There, they saw the source of Slappy's abhorrence.
Breaking News! Local Librarian Found Dead!
"The body of Mr. Mortman was discovered last night by the library's janitor, Emile," The news reporter was saying from outside the library. The corpse of Mr. Mortman was currently being loaded onto a stretcher.
"Oh, God," Mr. Dawes whispered in disbelief.
"I was just cleaning up the library when I saw it," Emile said as he was interviewed. "I didn't know what to do, so I called the police."
"Mr. Mortman died of a gunshot wound to the head," The reporter continued. "There were no witnesses at the scene of the crime. The shooting was believed to have occurred after the library closed."
"NOTHING GUTS MY GUTTER LIKE NO WITNESSES TO A MURDER!" The Purple Rage bellowed, but was punched in the gut by Dr. Maniac to silence him.
"Some visitors to the library have come to possibly try to explain the murder," The reporter said.
"I was just reading a book when a group of kids came into the library," Amy Kramer explained in front of the interviewers. "I didn't identify any of them. I left when the library closed, but they didn't leave."
"There's definitely a connection," Buddy, a camp counselor, theorized as he was interviewed. "The recent accidents occurring at night, the vandalized buildings, the apartment set on fire. All of this occurring in less than two weeks. No way are they all coincidences."
"Something horrible happened when the library closed," Danny Anderson said, the last to be interviewed. "And we all know it won't be the last horrible event we're going to experience."
The television then flicked back onto the reporter. "Further investigations are being made as of now," She said. "Stay tuned."
Slappy shut off the television to let the group take in what they had just witnessed.
"That was...I don't know," Mr. Dawes said, flopping onto the couch.
"I don't get it," Dr. Maniac said, surprisingly genuine. "Who would've killed him? We didn't send out any monsters. Mr. Mortman is a monster, we wouldn't do it."
"Do you think thossse kidsss did it?" Dr. Crawler hissed, perplexed at what he had just seen. Slappy closed his eyes as he thought it over, then opened them.
"MC," He commanded, pointing a finger at her. "I want you to get a few Horrors out into the city and see if they can find some answers." Then he turned to Mr. Dawes and bellowed out another command.
"Open up the gates. HorrorLand Theme Park is officially opened."
During their time spent at the theme park, the monsters and ghouls were trying to find means to entertain themselves when Mr. Dawes voice was heard over the announcer.
"Open the gates, the theme park is officially opened!" He shouted out. "All of you go out there and enjoy yourselves!"
"Enjoy ourselves?" Amaz-o shouted in disbelief. "I thought this was supposed to be serious?"
Nevertheless, the gates were opened and the monsters all poured out of the room to behold the recently finished theme park. It looked like the original HorrorLand theme, but was slightly bigger and more stylized.
"Wow, to think we have this whole thing to ourselves," Della Raver said as she floated around. No sooner had the words flown out of her mouth that the entrance to the theme park opened and humans began to pour into the park.
"And I spoke too soon," Della said, saddened. All the monsters and ghouls froze up as the humans entered the theme park. To their shock, however, nobody seemed to notice them.
A Horror walked up towards them. "Don't worry, they think we're just dressed in costumes," He reassured them. "Just pretend that you are." The monsters nodded and began to stroll around the park.
Della, to avoid suspicion, landed back onto her feet and began to walk around the park, occasionally passing by other people. She avoided them or turned the other way when they looked at her. She didn't feel safe around them. It wasn't like with Sarah. She knew she could trust her.
As she thought about this, she bumped into three kids. One of them, the oldest, had blonde hair, while the younger two, a boy and girl, had brown hair.
"Oh, excuse me," She apologized. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It's alright," The blonde boy said. "Hey, aren't you that ghost girl?"
Della froze up, wondering how she'd been discovered, then realized that these three kids had been with the other ghouls at the park as well.
"Hey, you're ghosts, too, aren't you," Della guessed aloud. The girl shushed her.
"Not so loud," She warned her, motioning to the crowd of unsuspecting visitors. "You don't want anyone to find out about you, do you?"
Della shook her head. "What are your names?" She asked.
"I'm Sam," The blonde boy introduced. "And those two are my brother and sister, Nat and Louisa."
"May I join you guys?" She asked. The three nodded and soon, they began walking towards a giant rollercoaster.
"We're going on that," Louisa said, pointing up at it. "Would you care to join us?"
Della stared up at the giant rollercoaster. "I've never been on a rollercoaster that big before," She admitted. "Maybe I shouldn't do it."
"This is amazing!" Della screamed as she and the Sadlers swerved in the train of the rollercoaster. It looped over on the tracks, bringing the four upside down briefly.
"I can't believe we missed out on so much when we were alive," Sam shouted out over the screams from the other passengers, briefly forgetting that the other passengers were unaware that he was a ghost. Luckily for him, they didn't hear over the shouting.
"This is so much fun!" Louisa screamed out as the train went down a large side on the track, causing everyone to scream out loud. Suddenly, pieces of Nat's skin ripped off as a result of the extreme speed of the rollercoaster, sending flakes of flesh flying towards the other passengers.
"Oh boy," Sam whispered and he dunked Nat's head under so the other passengers wouldn't notice it was him. The train then entered a dark cave, obscuring all light.
Fire was flamed out from the walls, evoking screams of terror from the other passengers and shouts of awe from the dead children. Then, spiders and other insects fell on the disoriented passengers, causing screams of revulsion. One passenger became so nauseated he hurled. He happened to be in the front of the train, so the unlucky passengers behind him were promptly coated.
"Oh, gross!" Della shouted out, briefly forgetting she was on a rollercoaster. The train finally left the cave and came to a stop.
The disoriented passengers stumbled out, one of them muttering, "I'm going to be sick."
The Horror saw them dripping with puke and said, "I take it you guys had an exciting ride." The passengers ignored him, though.
The Sadlers and Della walked out of the train. "That was awesome," Nat said, pumping his fists in the air. "I've never had that much fun in my lifetime!"
"Yeah, lifetime..." Della said sadly, remembering when she had been alive. She stalked off, followed by the Sadlers.
"Hey, what's wrong Della?" Louisa asked, concerned.
"There was this girl I once met," Della said, not looking at the Sadlers. "I wanted her to be my buddy, since you have to have a buddy to move onto the afterlife. But we both knew this meant she would have to die."
"Yeah?" Nat said, a little worried.
"That girl, of course, didn't want to die," Della continued. "So I tried to force her. I stalked her, and lied her, not caring for what torment she was put through. Eventually, I tried to get her killed."
Della didn't notice the Sadlers look of realization dawn upon them as they thought back to their own encounters with their living counterparts.
"I remember when I was alive," Della said, hugging herself. "My life wasn't perfect, but I treated it like it was worse than it truly was. That's why I ended up a ghost. But then, I wanted to kill someone else just to serve my own needs."
Her head hung low and she whispered out, "Sarah's right. The two of us will never be friends."
It was then Della noticed the Sadlers were all crying. "What are you all crying about?" She asked, not noticing a single tear stream down her own cheeks.
"We went through the exact same thing," Louisa said, covering her face. "We tried to get two innocent children killed so they would join us in death. We even dug their own graves for them."
Della took a few steps back. "Wow," Was all she could say. "What happened to them?"
"We don't know," Nat admitted. "They abandoned us. At first, we didn't know why. We thought they were selfish. But I think we're the only ones who were selfish."
Della hung her head low, then looked up as she had an epiphany.
"I'll meet Sarah again, someday," She vowed to herself. "I'll find her, and I'll ask for forgiveness. And maybe, she'll forgive me."
