Charlie swan flipped through the case work. While his leg prevented him from traveling, he still was able to work from Billy's house. He took phone calls and gave detailed instructions to his deputy. it was Monday morning and there had been no word from Bella. But he was informed that she was in fact with embry call and only three hours away, he didn't- a loud howl cut through Charlie's thoughts.
He quickly adjusted himself to stand up and then limped towards the door. Billy himself wheeled out of the living room and rolled next to him.
"Something 's not right." At the exact moment. Jacob burst out of his room. "That's a warning howl. Leeches."
He then burst out of the house and phased. "does it get any easier, seeing him do that?" Charlie asked
"I get amazed every time."
Benjamin was mediating when he heard it. The howl and the spirits urging command. He immediate ran into he guest bedroom where his grandson and mate were sleeping. They had gotten in late last night.
"EMBRY! GET UP!" he shouted
His grandson instantly shot up. "What? What?"
"Get up! You have to go back to la push now!"
"What?" embry asked confused
"There's been an ambush! You have to go! Leeches are your land!"
"W-What? What about Bella?"
"Your unless and I will guard her! go phase!" he ordered.
Bella finally coming out her sleep induced confusion, grabbed embry and kissed him passionately before pushing him towards the door.
"Go! Go!" she ordered
The Cullen's raced toward the clearing. Alice's vison had come too late. The newborns were planning an ambush, and no one saw it coming. As they raced towards the treaty line a silver wolf came towards them and phased. It was Leah clearwater. "Sam sent me! The newborns are on the edge of the water, but they have yet to attack. The red hair vamp is nowhere in sight!"
"Edward, listen out for Victoria's thoughts!" Carlisle ordered as they followed Leah to the clearing. They arrived to see ten wolves and across form them were the newborn vampires.
"Sam?" Carlisle called
The black wolf turned towards him. "he says the newborns are waiting on something and he doesn't want to attack yet because he thinks it's a trap." Edward translated. "They are waiting on their leader and its not Victoria. Its... riley. He had went missing a month ago, Victoria changed him. she gave him instructions to start the army but other than that she has been hiding and I can't trace her thoughts. I- They going to attack!"
Within seconds the newborn army attacked the Cullen's and the wolf pack. The war had begun. It was a frenzy. All of their training could not prepare them for the savagery of the newborns.
