Katniss pov

Today is the day we end the war.

I wake up super early. I'm needed in command,peeta is also with me. We run down to command to find everyone there.

"Soilder mellark, I promised you when the time came we would flip for it. Heads or tails?"

"Tails"

She flips the coin and catches it."Tails. You get to shoot snow. I want to take a vote,when we take over the capitol it would only be fair to show them what they caused us. One last hunger games with the capitol people. What do you think?" Haymitch,peeta,Annie and finnick and I disagree. But more people agree.

"We can't waste time,let's go people!"she calls out. We walk to a hovercraft that takes us to the capitol. We have gain control of most of the capitol. Beetea hands me my specially designed bow and arrows.

Our people surround the mansion. I see snow. I take a second to look around at everything. If I shoot snow, coin wins and we have another hunger games,that can't happen! She's just like snow! But if snow wins my kids will for sure die. But we can run...

I do what I think is right. I turn to shoot the worst person,the one who will cause a horrible future.

I kill coin.

I watch as my arrow flies into her heart. When I turn around I see our people attacking snow,but before I see everything I am pulled away from guards."What the hell sweetheart?!"haymitch yells.

"I had too! If I didn't we have the same thing happen again! Don't you see? She's like snow!"I yell.

"Listen sweetheart"he says"some aren't happy about what you did. Most are,we'll see how that plays out...snow is captured and locked up. Tomorrow you can end it,finally"I nod and hug him"thanks for everything haymitch"I say."anything sweetheart"haymitch says

"Katniss!"It's peeta and he has tears."What is it peeta"I say as I run to him."It's prim! She was with the soldiers to heal the hurt one's and a bomb went off"he says as he engulfs me in his arms.

"What! How is she,I have to see her!"

"They don't know. Come on"he says taking me to the hospital. We run until we find my mom crying."mom! Where is she? How is she?"I say tearing up.

"She's alive,but fading fast. They don't think she'll make it"she cries. I turn to peeta and cry into his chest."Please! No please prim live!"

Hours later

"We have an update on primrose everdean"a doctor says and we all turn."it looks like she'll live. But she is in critical condition."He says and I sigh a breath of relief. Peeta holds me tighter and I cry into his chest,I'm thankful that she'll live.

My mom closes her eyes and a few tears slip out. She hasn't broke yet,like with dad."Katniss"I hear and I turn to see the nurse who took care of willow for us. She hands me my baby and I hold on to her close.

"I hope she'll be okay"I say to peeta."she's a fighter,katniss. She'll be okay"peeta reassures me. I hand him willow and walk to my mom. I think I finally truly forgive her for breaking down when dad died. She has stayed strong throughout this war. "She's going to be okay."I whisper pulling her into a hug.

"I love you katniss"she says

"I love you too mom"I say.

We then go to see prim. She had to have some surgery but is much better now and won't die. She lays so peacefully in the bed. She looks weak and pale."Katniss?"She said with a weak smile.

I take her hand in mine and sit next to her."Hey little duck,how you doing?"I ask and she smiles"better,but I hurt"

"I know...we can go home soon"I say trying to cheer her up. This lightens her mood."I can't wait to go home"

"Next week,when you're a bit better"I announce. She nods. My mom talks to her for a few minutes then peeta. Finally I say"you should get some sleep,little duck"

"I love you"she says.

"I love you too little duck"

"Peeta,I love you too"she says and he replies"prim I've always thought of you as a sister,I love you too"

"I love you mom"

"I love you too baby"she says.

"I also love my niece and my new niece or nephew"

"And I know they love you too prim"I say and we leave after. Later peeta and I pack up our few belongings and the millions of things for willow. We plan on leaving tomorrow morning then coming back next week for prim.

"I love you katniss"

"I love you too peeta,tomorrow we finally go home"
